Welcome to "Counsel from Above" podcast. This is a place to ask questions concerning mental health, relationships, parenting, and the like and receive an answer based on God's word and the current mental health research. I am the host Nathan Honeycutt, Licensed Professional Counselor and minister of the church of Christ. We will explore together the intersection of the Bible and mental health to help bring some of God's answers to light in this dark world. God has provided the answers we just have to know where to look. This podcast is a question and answer-based program. I need your questions to help guide the discussion. Nathan Honeycutt, LPC

Nathan Honeycutt was born August 10, 1977 in Springfield, MO to Glen and Karen Honeycutt. He was raised in Neosho, MO for most of his life. He has two siblings, Eric and Kayla. On August 26th, 2000 he married Jennifer Claxton in Joplin MO. They are blessed with two sons, Wyatt and Brady.

Nathan has a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University, and a Masters of Science degree in Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri.

Nathan has been a gospel preacher in the churches of Christ since 1997 traveling to many states and six countries. He has worked as a professional counselor since 2006. During this time he worked with families, couples, adults and youth to improve relationships, communication, overcome addiction and gain the ability to better manage their daily life.
