My first degree is in history. My dad would often ask me, "What are you going to do with that?" I would respond that, "the important thing is to be educated." A few years later I conceded that he was right and went back for my second degree - a Masters in Healthcare Administration. The masters opened the door to my future career, but I continued to study history and historical leaders.
I am a Christ-follower, a student of the Bible and strong believer in the second greatest commandment: "Love your neighbor as yourself," as well as the commandment to "Do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God."
I am also a husband, father of two daughters and grandfather. Have I mentioned yet that I'm a runner? I sometimes like to share epiphanies discovered on long runs, usually at the intersection of Runner's High and Dehydration. It's a little like drunk texting or the Double Rainbow guy.
