Ebrima Sall and Ali Awni are respected leaders whose efforts have propelled the knowledge of philanthropy in West and North Africa respectively. Ebrima is the Executive Director of TrustAfrica, and Ali is the Director at the John D. Gerhart Center for Philanthropy, Civic Engagement and Responsible Business at The American University in Cairo. Both leaders have enjoyed extensive careers in research and philanthropy, and serve on the boards of organisations across the globe, informing strategies and insights for the continent's development.

They join Bhekinkosi Moyo in conversation to discuss, amongst many things:
- How collaboration between research and philanthropy is essential for addressing future challenges in Africa.
