Namata and Ernesto are leaders of the Economic Fighters League (EFL), which is a non-partisan political movement based in Ghana. EFL was established to address economic injustices and advocate for the rights of marginalised populations.

In conversation with Prof. Moyo, Namata and Ernesto discuss leadership, politics and advocacy, and how these enable the efforts of social movements. Talking points include...
- Why a commitment to ensuring women's representation and participation enables diversity in decision-making processes.
- The ways that neoliberalism hinders industrialisation, economic growth and activism.
- How organising demonstrations highlights challenges faced by social movements for economic freedom.
- The concerns about the appropriation of social movements by political parties.
