Innovating for intimate wellbeing: Rebecca Sternberg on filling unmet needs.
Today we’re getting under the hood of Rebecca Sternberg a daughter, sister, friend, women’s advocate, and the co-founder of Aquafit Intimate, an intimate wellness startup pioneering self-care products and services for vaginal health and intimate wellbeing of women.
Aquafit Intimate offers innovative solutions, including our patented Intimate Gel Sticks, which combine pelvic floor muscle training with the delivery of natural extracts to hydrate, balance pH, and soothe vaginal tissue.
With over 25 years of experience in strategic design, media, architecture, technology, and innovation, Rebecca brings a deep focus on usability to Aquafit Intimate, aiming to address the needs of the 75% of women who experience vaginal discomfort or pain. The company's entry into women’s health and wellness stemmed from a personal need following pelvic radiation for cervical cancer. In keeping with inclusive design principles, Aquafit Intimate quickly expanded to address vaginal health accessible to all women.
Rebecca holds a BA from Harvard University and a Master of Architecture (MArch) from Rice University. She is also a design-thinking educator at design and business schools, in addition to running an independent interdisciplinary strategic design studio.
