Welcome to the Confidence in Christ podcast. I’m Kala and I’m here to offer you the opportunity to grow in your confidence of the Lord. Through interviews with friends, simple and practical scripture application to your life and some good old fashion tough love at times, you will be more equipped to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ after hanging out here with us. I’m a woman just like you, who loves the Lord with all my heart and is doing my best to follow his will for my life. Meeting you here weekly and passing on the knowledge he has given me is part of what that looks like. Ep. 24: Connie Gochenaur / Witnessing Grief
Today's conversation is on a topic us humans aren't all that good at communicating through but my guest and I tackle it through the lens of Christ. Connie Gochenaur is a woman of God, mother, writer, artist, sweet friend and widow to Jon. She was called into a new season of life, a journey to share the faithfulness and goodness of the Lord with others who are facing difficult times in their lives. This wasn't a calling she asked for but one divinely assigned to her. The Lord is using her words, art and authenticity to remind those going trough grief that it's okay to hold both joy and sadness at the same time. God is trustworthy even in our grief.
Our conversation is real, raw, authentic, full of compassion and covered in the fingerprints of the Father. You will be blessed by listening to our hard conversation whether you are currently going through a season of grief or walking along side someone who is. If you have ever wondered how to sit in that awkward space of grief with a friend and not known what to say or do, we enlighten you with what those grieving wish you knew. Grief is messy but we can come together as the body of Christ and walk this journey beautifully together.
