Welcome to the Confidence in Christ podcast. I’m Kala and I’m here to offer you the opportunity to grow in your confidence of the Lord. Through interviews with friends, simple and practical scripture application to your life and some good old fashion tough love at times, you will be more equipped to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ after hanging out here with us. I’m a woman just like you, who loves the Lord with all my heart and is doing my best to follow his will for my life. Meeting you here weekly and passing on the knowledge he has given me is part of what that looks like. Understanding Our Circumstances Through the Lens of Scripture with Kaycee Parker
S3E4- Understanding our circumstances is not always easy. Understanding what's happening in our lives in light of scripture is not always easy either but wow does it change everything!
When we use the lens of scripture to talk to God about what's happening in our every day lives it gives us hope and clarity. Something we are all longing for.
My guest today is such a sweet sister in Christ, Kaycee Parker. She recently released her book, Devotions on Diabetes. She takes her experience with type 1 diabetes and views it through the lens of the Bible. Something that can be applied to all aspects of our lives.
She was diagnosed at age 12, and has lived with diabetes for more than 30 years. With a degree in journalism and a storyteller’s heart, she has loved sharing stories as far back as she can remember. Kaycee and her pastor husband have a love for God’s Word and discipleship, two beautiful children, and a rapidly aging dog. She enjoys treating diabetes highs with insulin, treating lows with marshmallow fluff straight from the spoon, and treating diabetes as an opportunity to seek God and point others to Him.
