When we talk about walking by faith and not by sight most of the time we are being figurative in our meaning. Not this week!! I had the blessed opportunity to talk with Chad Roberts and his lovely wife Sadie about their testimony of when Chad lost his sight in his mid-20's. Imagine going from being able to see, to absolutely nothing. What would that do to your faith? What would that do to your relationship with Christ?

Chad Roberts is the founder and lead pastor of Preaching Christ Church. He is also an author and Bible teacher for Awakened to Grace. Having traveled to over 40 countries, Pastor Chad is passionate about equipping leaders across the world to boldly share the Gospel. After suffering from blindness in 2018, Pastor Chad continues his work being fully sustained by the grace of God. He and his wife, Sadie Roberts, have four children: Piper, Emmy, Hudson and John Mark. They make their home in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Conversation Highlights:

  • The power of lament helps us sit with hard feelings, taking them to God
  • Just because it’s hard doesn't mean that God’s not good
  • When God doesn't prevent things from happening it can shake our faith
  • At times our faith isn’t low, our emotions are, there’s a difference
  • Take notes about your life and the faithfulness of God so you can be reminded on those harder days
  • God is found in our waiting
  • God’s character never changes, get familiar with it.
