Confidence in Christ
Welcome to the Confidence in Christ podcast. I’m Kala and I’m here to offer you the opportunity to grow in your confidence of the Lord. Through interviews with friends, simple and practical scripture application to your life and some good old fashion tough love at times, you will be more equipped to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ after hanging out here with us. I’m a woman just like you, who loves the Lord with all my heart and is doing my best to follow his will for my life. Meeting you here weekly and passing on the knowledge he has given me is part of what that looks like. I’m so honored that you’re here and I can’t wait to help you get to know God in new and exciting ways!

The Divine Masterpiece of Disability: You Aren’t An Accident, You’re Divinely Designed with Nadia Mossburg
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
There are conversations that feel too taboo to talk about and for some reason disabilities seem to be one of those. We are going to take that away this week as we chat with one of the most influential women I know, who happens to also be disabled.
Nadia Mossburg a disability rights advocate, former Senior Policy Adviser at the U.S. Department of Labor and a woman who has lived with cerebral palsy for 56 years. Her debut devotional, Divinely Disabled: A 30-Day Devotional to Discovering God's Heart for the Disability Community, grew out of nearly four decades of walking with Christ and wrestling deeply with what Scripture actually says about disability, design and divine purpose.
Her passion for reaching others for the disability community is inspiring. She shares the faithfulness and goodness of God any chance she gets and I'm honored she could do that on the podcast this week.
Conversation Highlights:
- We need to redefine disability as a divine masterpiece, not an accident
- God’s purpose is found through disability, not in spite of it
- Our joy as Christians can bubble over into our daily lives, impacting others in ways we don’t even realize
- Wherever you are, you are on assignment from God to reach those around you for him
- God’s plan unfolds by taking the next right step, even when it feels overwhelming
- Don’t be afraid to have honest conversations with God
- Disability is an aspect of God’s creativity and workmanship
