Humans have never had access to so much information. The advent of the World Wide Web may be analogous to the invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenburg in 1436 or thereabouts, but that comparison is off by several orders of magnitude. Creating information is not, however, the same as ensuring it gets to those who need it. This is especially true when it comes to national security, as agencies hide behind 'need to know' obstacles.
