Wow, what a couple of days! Israeli and US airstrikes are continuing in Iran and the country's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Khamene'i, is dead. Iran is engaged in counterstrikes in the region and many are worried about where this will all end up. When it comes to Canada, many are very happy at this turn of events within the diaspora, although some have been threatened by Iranians tied to the regime in what is broadly known as Transnational Repression (TNR). I speak with a young woman from that community to gauge the pulse of the rollercoaster of feelings.
