In its never-ending quest to spread the terrorist listing wealth, the Trump Administration has made some odd moves of late. First, there was the decision to call drug cartels 'terrorists', despite the unfortunate reality that they are not terrorist groups but rather criminal organisations. Then, there was the complete absence of any mention of the far right, and even the pardon of RW extremists involved in the January 2021 riot at the US Capitol. Now, left-wing terrorism seems to be the flavour of the day with the pronouncement that Antifa is the source of all evil. Is it? I speak with a former US State Department official on this bizarre claim.
