In truth, we have a large portion of that part of the globe, which is lightly inhabited, but is increasingly becoming strategic in the face of global warming. Most Canadians, and , to be honest, most Canadian governments, do not give this region a second thought. In light of China's claim to be a 'near Arctic power' and Russian aggression under President Putin, is Canada doing enough to safeguard it.
