On this week's episode, we are celebrating FOUR YEARS of Sippin’ With the Shannons!!! Colleen survives a solo work trip to Vegas, investigates mysterious desert energy, and sees Kenny Chesney at The Sphere. Bridget hunts down the Scottish in Boston, witnesses the most unhinged party trick imaginable, and discovers that Provincetown is, in fact, gay Disneyland. We talk about our new obsession, Off Campus, Love Island USA and phone the Mother of the Pod for her thoughts on Taylor and Travis' wedding extravaganza.
Then we celebrate four years of the pod by taking a trip down memory lane! We revisit some of our favorite episodes, stories that still haunt us, hall of fame moments and things that are in the graveyard... aka Bridget's dad and Read Between The Wines.
Four years later, we still can’t believe you all willingly listen to us spiral about our chaotic opinions, questionable life choices, and whatever weird niche topic we’ve decided is our entire personality that week. Thank you for listening!! We love you, mean it!!!

Pour me a glass of rosé or make it a chardonnay. Come on and sip it with the Shannons. Or if it's Riesling Rimau or a Pinot Grigio, you know we're sipping with the Shannons. Whoa. Does your mother know that you're out? Does your mother know? Does your mother know that you're out? You know? Know what I'm saying? Does your mother know? Your mother. Your mother. Your mother. You look like Big Ang right now. Do I? Yeah. I miss that bitch, day in, day out. What's your favorite thing about Big Ang? Or was, sorry, off the rip. Pour one out for her. Just, like, her carefreeness. Like, she thought she was that bitch with, like, her big old lips and her big old titties, and she didn't give a fuck. She was just out here running the bar, the bar. Yeah. And just being a baddie. Like, fully delulu? And she loved a criminal, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It really wasn't much, it didn't take much for her to, like, love a man, you know? And I always think about he would start, "For murder." And her son's like, "Oh, okay. Oh, all right, that's not too bad." Like, "No, like you're right, that's not too bad, girl." "It ain't. Get your bag." "He's buying me a puppy," she says. "Okay. I have one too, sister." Oh, God bless. Hi, everyone. Hey. Welcome to this week's episode of Sipping with the Shannons. We're cousins, and every other week we sit down, we sip on some wine, we talk some shit, we have a good giggle. I'm Bridget Shannon. And I'm Colleen Shannon. How the heck are ya? I'm good. I'm filled with taters. I'm comfortable. I'm sipping my fountain soda. I was gonna say, you have, she has a Diet Coke from McDonald's. She's got her sunglasses on. Mm. She's got her pearl earrings in. Always. The pearls live on. A Harvard University T-shirt on. I was just manic in the airport- And you are- and bought this burnt to a crisp. I'm really not. Colleen- It's my nose. It's my nose. And the top of my head. But r- I'm really not Rudolph. Yeah, that always happens. It really just sticks out. But you know what? I want a nose job. It's gotta... What? I don't like my bump. What bump? It's not a visual podcast. I know, I forget, but... You don't have a bump. You don't see my bump? I don't like my side profile. You don't like your side profile? Well, that's not really any of your business. It's not like you can see it anyway. It is until you see a photo. Oh my God. Well, we just ignore those. Yesterday- Mm-hmm I went in a photo booth- Sure with Mans, with John. First of all, the angle was horrible. It was, like, sitting, but we, you could s- Way too small. No, no, no. It was too big. So it was, like, almost like a dressing room. Oh, that's actually quite nice. No, because the angle, it was, like, almost, the camera was almost below us. No, that's, no. So it was at, like, where our stomach is when you sit. So it was... And he's, like, shove- he's getting behind me and shoving me to the front, and I'm like, "You fucker, you get to the front. I hide behind you. That's what the lady job is. I'm wide. You can be fat, I can't." So we're, like, both fighting over who's getting in front of it. Who gets in. The wor- we took, and you could, like, cancel it and take another round, and we were like, okay. The first one was obscene. Like, we were audibly gasping, and then we took another set, and we're like, "No, it's still terrible." He was like, "Don't even pay for those." I did, but I have a set of p- of, photo booth pictures in my car- Yeah already, so I, I picked up that one from last year, and we put them next to each other, and I was like, "You, you have to stop feeding me." No, but the angle. No, but j- for the both of us. We both were like, "Holy fucking shit," as we had eaten all day. Like, that's all we did. We bopped around and ate, but- That sounds so fun it was so fun, but we c- we couldn't stop laughing. And then John texted me today and was like, "I was at Home Depot checking out," and they have that camera on you- that says, like, we're recording. And he goes, "I caught a glimpse, and let me tell ya..." And I said, "No, you're not wrong. You just caught a glimpse in the wrong way, and it ruined your whole fucking day." So I catch a glimpse of myself, like, mm, bald eagle-ing in a side profile, and I'm out. I'm out for the day. I'm so sorry to hear. Thanks for listening. Yeah, anytime. Anytime. What have you been up to? You know, I had to travel for work again. I went to Vegas. It was hot as fucking dick. I was by myself for seven days. I can't be alone, you guys. I just can't. But this time I was kind of prepared. I was like, "Okay, I cannot stay in this hotel room. All I can watch is fucking SVU." Also, you're not alone during the day. No, I'm with people that I work with, but I don't have to... I don't... This would be fake nine to five. I don't wanna be fake from five to nine. But honestly, trademark that. I could be fake from nine to five. I don't wanna be fake from five to nine. I don't. No, that's totally fair. But they have families. They don't hang out with me. Right. I am saying to be on all day- Mm and then just get a few hours where you don't have to be anything to anyone might be nice. No? For a day or two, not for six nights. Yeah, six nights is a lot. Thank you. That's what I wanted to say. But I mean, it really wasn't all that negative. I went to- Kenny. I, I went... Okay, so I had... I went on an excursion. Oh yeah, we haven't talked about the excursion yet. Uh, yes. I went to, on an excursion. I booked one of those like four... I was so manic on the plane there, and I was like, "I just have to do something in the morning that like is not on the fucking strip with the gremlins." so I booked a little excursion, and it was a bright pink Jeep. They pick you up at your hotel, and you go on a four-hour thing. I love it. Yeah, this man, I forget his name actually, but he was a nice man. I made a best friend. Her name is Holly. Holly's husband doesn't like outings like that, and he was at a conference, so she woke up and said, "Fuck you, Bob." Oh, I love Holly. And so me and Holly went on our s- she c- we picked her up at the Golden Nugget. She came out in her tie-dye T-shirt, and we had a grand old time. We got Diet Cokes together. Meanwhile, the tour guide's like, "People die out here. You have to drink water." And we're at the visitor center and we're shopping and getting Diet Cokes. Oh my God, Colleen. It's dry as fuck. It's like 104 degrees. I felt bad for the guide because, like, he had no idea that we simply could have given a fuck about the smell of the trees and the random bushes, and what's prickly and what's not. Lit- at one point, he was like, "And this is a prickly pear cactus." I go, "I've had a prickly pear margarita. 12 out of 10. Great shrub." Like, I don't know what to... Like, I'm not, I'm not an interested guy. I'm just not. I'm here for the views. I l- I live in... Like, I see the city, I don't see greenery. Like, there are also jokes on me. There are no, is no greenery. It's a desert. It's literally the desert. Sorry, I've never been in the Mojave Desert before. I've never been in a desert. Dry as fuck, I didn't realize. This poor man at the hotel. I had prime time seating. I sat by the pool by myself for a couple hours one day, and there was a scene. He was fine. That's why it's okay to talk about it. But a stretcher pulls up. There's, like, EMTs everywhere, and it's at the cabana, so I'm like, "Oh, d- someone's definitely shitfaced and, like, slipped and f- like, fell or something." This guy is, like, him and his wife, he's, like, older too, and he's wearing, like, a, a tropical button-up, and he comes out and he's like, "Sorry, guys." His nose wouldn't stop bleeding. He wasn't drunk or anything. It's so dry. And, like, not to TMI, but, like, I had, like, chunks of blood coming out of my nose, like, dry. Oh my God, my nephew Danny gets nosebleeds everywhere. Mm-hmm. Uh, he would suffer. Yeah, the dry air. Yeah, the dry- He just, like... And he was like, it just, it literally, it was literally down his mouth. Like, he couldn't... They had to put a plug on him, and he was like, they were like, "We can't leave you here. Like, you have to go to the hospital." So he had to sit on the stretcher, and he was, like, pissed, but I watched the whole thing. Oh, no. It felt so bad. Oh, the poor guy. But that's how dry the fucking air is. That's crazy. And to them, it was, like, a cool week for them, too. I was like, "Great, 104. Great." but it was cool. I got to see, The outdoors Mm-hmm That was a change of pace for me You made a friend. You did a thing. Yeah, we off-roaded, and it was like a rollercoaster ride, 'cause it, like, wasn't a real road, so it was like boom, boom, boom. My boobs, like, I could've poked myself, uh, punched myself in the face with my boobs. Giving people bad eyes I took a photo. Yeah, like, Holly took a photo of me, like my photo queen. I got some merch. Oh my God. Yeah. How fun. Yeah, it was fine. I went and took a nice long nap. It was fine. It was fine. I saw some outdoorsy stuff, and then at one point I was like, "I-" So he was like a nerd. He was like a nerd nerd. Guide. Tour guide. Yeah. And of c- the whole time they talk, right? And he's like, "Colleen," and I'm like, "I'm just, I'm not listening. I'm just looking around." Like, there's only three of us on the fucking tour. It normally fits nine, but of course in Vegas no one wants to go at 8:00 AM on a Sunday- Yeah, no out onto the great out- into the great outdoors, so- Into the into the great unknown it's just me and Holly he said, "We have to go, uh, and do some research." And we're like, "What do you mean?" Apparently, like, the other nerdy tour guide had heard a mysterious noise that wasn't an animal, and it was 100 yards east of this. Bigfoot. So this man took us, and he had his magnetic, like- No we're on fucking Ghost Hunters. No. And he's like, "Can you hold it so people will know in real time I'm not making this up, and y- you'll be in it?" And I'm like, "Okay." And so there was magnetic forces where there wasn't supposed to be magnetic energy. So I kept being like, "So aliens?" And he's like- Did you bring the aliens? "No." But I'm like, "So a UFO?" And he's like, "No." And I'm like, so he just really wasn't having it. And I'm like, "Come on. Let's kiki. Let's have a good time here. Let's giggle." And no, he was really serious about the magnetic fucking energy. And so then I was like, "Have you ever seen anything spooky?" And then he goes into this, I unlocked something within him that I immediately regretted. He's talking on and on about how when he goes to the other state park, the fire or whatever it was one, you, if you people, I don't know. If you know anything about that stuff, you'll know what I'm talking about. And he's like, "I had visions of pioneers and Native Americans, and apparently I'm like-" Oh, no. Yeah, no. It was, like, this long thing. Oh. And I was like, "You know what?" He definitely tried to storm Area 51. 100%. Turns out- No for, no. Stop. I, I wanted to go to Area 51. It's, it's less than an hour away from my hotel. I didn't. I should've. But, uh, Frankie was there during the raid. Get the fuck out of here. Your future brother-in-law? Someone said something about, oh, we were talking about Area 51 this weekend, and someone else goes, "Frankie, weren't you there? Weren't, like, those people, like, raiding it?" And I go, "No." A firsthand witness? He, he was by himself, too. Tell me everything. What did he say? Uh, nothing. He, uh, he just said there were a bunch of weird people around. That was really it. Like, he didn't say... Like, he wasn't actively, like, 10 toes down, but he was, cross-country driving from California. So that was one of his stops, and it happened to be right as the raid was happening. Oh my God, that, what a small world that is, though. That's actually crazy. I know. He said that, and I was like, "Head on a swivel." "You have your tinfoil hat?" Huh? Now I'm engaged. Yeah. I was a dissociating- That's all- for every other story you told- That's all it takes but now I'm clocked in. I reposted a TikTok today literally just for you. It's like, it's an ADHD one. You'll, you'll appreciate it. Says, "ADHD is so funny. It's like being possessed but with myself. Me desperately, 'Can we get something done?' My inner demon is also like, 'If you like pina coladas.'" I've never felt so personally attacked. It's like, it is like being possessed. I was trying to get something done today, and there was a song blaring in my brain. I don't even remember what song it was, but I was like, "Can you please turn that down? I have things to do." John keeps saying, "You girls" now instead of just me, and it's like my mul- Oh, like you and your personality? Yeah. You and the girls? You girls. Yeah. For a second I thought he was talking about my boobs. Your boobs. Yeah. Yeah, that's what I thought too. No. Oh, Johnny boy. so yeah, that was that. I worked. I went to Kenny Chesney at The Sphere. I'm so happy you went. I wasn't gonna go. I love him so much. I know. I'm just not... It's not that I'm not an independent woman that nee- don't need no man. I don't want to be. Like, I don't like to do things alone. I just don't. Yeah. I can do it, I just choose not to. Yeah, a lot of people- feel that way I'm lost and insecure. I don't know. But I, so I was like, I don't know if I'll enjoy a concert because the best times I have at, like, Kenny at Gillette is just, like, popping my pussy with my friends. Like, obviously I love, I love a concert where I know every song, and that's Kenny. And, but I was like, okay, like I don't really wanna go, and, like, I feel like I won't be able to bop to my full opportunity, to my full pleasure. Uh, it turns out you sit at The Sphere, or at least most people do. I think if you're, like, really low and you can look all the way up and you're on the floor, you stand. But, like, if you're sitting in a chair, most people just sit, which is really nice 'cause it made me feel less weird. Like, I could actually just, like, sit and, like, enjoy the show. Yeah. So I waited until about a half an hour before the show, and I looked at the prices and they were, like, 80 bucks, and they were originally- Oh like 300. So, and I could see it. I could physically see The Sphere from my room, so I was like, all right, I'll just fucking go. Yeah. I didn't wear any makeup. Oh, good for you. Yeah. I was in, like, a normal... I was dead sober, and I went in and I was just late en- You'll appreciate this whole bo- 'cause this is something you would say- Mm-hmm as, like, an old person as well, now that I'm old. The concert says it started at 8:00. I obviously know it does not start at 8:00. It starts till, like, 8:30. He comes on at, like, 8:30. So I get there at exactly 8:00, like, around 8:00, 8:05, and there's not a lot of people. First of all, it's a five-minute walk, and there's not a lot of people when you walked in. Think about, like, Gillette. When you first go in, there's humans everywhere. Yeah. There's, there is some, but there's not that many 'cause, like, 90% of them are already in their seats. So no line to get places? No line to get anything. Oh. I immediately see merch. I get my double XL Kenny Chesney T-shirt. I'm good. And then I wasn't gonna get anything to drink. I was just gonna get, like, a Diet Pepsi and chill, but they had the big Kenny Chesney cups. And then Kenny spoke to me through my soul, I think. Yeah. Yeah. And he said, "You need tequila." Yeah. 'Cause I don't really like rum. I love him and I love his rum, but I don't like rum. Yeah. So I couldn't do it. So I was like, I need that Kenny cup, and I need a margarita. So I, all of a sudden, I look to my left and, like- I see Cantina. Ah. I see Can- I see Cantina. Yeah. And I said, "Dir- okay, no notes." Also, the inside of Sphere is cool, like the wa- the way... It's very easy to navigate. I'm so excited to go. Yeah, it's so, it's the- I can't wait AC's blasting. It's, like, really cool everywhere you look around. There's tons of bar, like, little areas to get drinks. There's no lines. And I had booked myself a seat at the, all the way at the end on an end cap, so I didn't bother anybody. Oh. So I immediately get my margarita, and I can... As I'm walking to my seat, I hear him start, and I get right in. I just ask somebody, "Where's my seat?" They point right to it. I don't have to push past anybody, and there's a bathroom right next to my... No, not a line, and i- it's also really clean and nice in there. It's not, like, creepy. Oh my God, the dream, queen. Yeah. And he's just so good. Like, and I just got to bo- just sit and, like, sway and bop, and everyone around me was, like, kind of old, which I appreciated. Mm. Probably because, you know, it is a late night in Vegas. People are probably- Well, I, I see what you mean, though. Like, it's- Kenny's for the older people, though it It could have been feral animal energy, but when you're seeing someone like that, that's so much better. Mm-hmm. In the instance you're talking about- Yeah just go and sit with other people who are just enjoying it- Yeah and not being, like, crazy fucking drunk. Yeah, they were, like, older couples. There was, like- Right four older ladies behind me, like, bebop, and one was falling asleep sitting up, and I really loved that for her. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I... No, I did. I really did. I said, "I get it." She, she speaks to you. I get it. Yeah. and it was great, and then the minute it was over, I actually went into the last song. Like, I know at every other venue here at least, it's like you have to leave three before or else you're fucked for hours. Walked right out. We're a two-minute walk right to my hotel. It was literally- Wow a dream. It was so good. I'm so glad I went. He is just amazing. He's such good vibes. Love his little island energy. He did not play You and Tequila, which made me very upset, but it's okay. You and Tequila Make Me Crazy? Yeah, he didn't play that. Why? But it's okay. And Pirate Flag, but I don't really like that one anyways, but that's, like, his classic little island song. I don't know. Anywho, uh, yeah, it was great, and then I went to Maine when I got home. Mm-hmm. and I rotted in the sun, and now I'm here. I think that was really it. Oh, there were these ladies on the strip. I went sh- uh, shopping at Caesar's. "Did the real Caesar live here?" Um, It's all like- My beeper's not getting any signal. I really felt like Zach Galifianakis by myself, and I had my fanny pack on. Oh my God, you did? Yeah, I had my little fanny pack. Oh my God, we have to get you a Wolf T-shirt. When he has to say on the step- Who let the dogs out, who, who, who. Who, who, who. so Alan is just such a slay, man. Alan's a slay. Yes. there was these girls, and I honestly don't even know. They must be for a show or something, but they were a little bit aggressive if that's the case. But there are groups of girls in, like, BDSM... Is that what the term is? BD- BM- DSM? B- BDSM. Yeah, you know what I mean. Like harnesses and stuff? Chains and whips excite me, yeah. Yeah. but they weren't wearing shirts, but they only had, like, an X of tape on their nipples, and that is it. Whoa. And they, like, came up to you and, like, tickle you with their thing, and they're like t- "Sexy, do you wanna be a bad girl or whatever?" And mind you, I'm in my Zach Galifianakis. I'm in my fanny pack. Sexy, can I just fuck you in the ass? And I go, I looked at her, and I almost laugh out loud, and I go, "Ma'am, I am tired." And she just started laughing. I go, "You don't want me." I'm not, I'm not the brains I'm not the fucking one. I'm just not. I'm sweating. I didn't wear makeup once because it was so hot, and I had welts on my face last time, remember? Oh, yeah. So I didn't put it on once. I had- didn't have one pimple. It must have just been, like, clogged. I really don't know. I was just clog-rude. I have no fucking idea. Just clogged. Ma'am, I am tired. I had a adult temper tantrum the other day, and you're just gonna be like, "Colleen, it's just 'cause it's you lose things. And just shut up." But a while ago, I, I got these... I... They lasted me a long time. I got sunglasses. Johnny boy got me them, and they were the cutest Ray-Bans ever. They don't sell them anymore. And I lost them, I think, in Portland. So I had them for, like, a year, and I could not find them. And I kept being like, "Okay, they must be in a random bag somewhere." That happens to me all the time. I open up a purse I use on a different weekend, And they're just, like, in there. That happens to me all the time. Couldn't find them, couldn't find them. I find the exact pair on Amazon for, like, 90 bucks, last one in stock. I just bought them. I was like, "Fuck it. Whatever." And I went out with John somewhere, and I didn't bring a purse because he had my ID and stuff. He's like, "It's fine. I'll just hold them 'cause you're not gonna use them anyways but just in case." Mm. And so I had my sunglasses. It was a sunny day. We went... But we went to Pier Six. Like, we just bopped around. Oh, nice. I literally didn't have a purse. And we, the night turned into the late evening, and we went to Prima. We went to Warren Tavern. Oh. Oh. Yeah, yeah. So we're drunky monkey- All the spots on the Uber ride home. We, like, canoed a little bit in the Uber like legit 15-year-olds. Oh. I lo- lose the sunglasses. I had gotten them the day before. It was my first time wearing them. Oh, I hate that. And it's like I am not mad about... I'm mad that... But I, when- I'm mad at myself. Yeah yeah, when I put them on, I go, "I found them, John," 'cause I felt bad he got me them. So I was like, "I found them." And he was like, "Oh my God, great. I'm so glad you found them." Aw. And so he's with me when I realize that I've lost them, and I have an absol- I, like, was, like, clawing at my neck. I was so mad. No, I was so mad. Not, like, in a dramatic way. Like, I was just kind of like this, "Ugh," like I- Okay, the way you said that the first time was- N- I wasn't like this. No, that's- But I, I was like, "Ugh." I was so mad. She just means holding her head in her hands. Like, j- I just, like, had my fingers going down my neck like, "Argh." And I was so mad, and I was, like, silent for, like, five minutes, and he's like, "W- It's okay." And I was like, "You don't understand. I just rebought these. I got them last week." I was so mad, and I'm still mad about it because I'm so stubborn. I would rebuy them again. I love them that much, and I can't find them. They're literally not in stock anywhere. I have to go on eBay and buy a used pair. I... This is why I only buy cheap sunglasses because I lose them- I do too every other month. Tell me why I've had these on my head right now, these gas station sunglasses, for five years. Yeah. They're from a gas station on Antietam Beach. But I can't keep my Ray-Bans? This is, this is why I just buy cheap knock-offs because I lose them constantly. Me too. But not these. Not the, not my Gucci ones that are literally way too big for my head. More like Fucci. Yeah, legit Fucci probably, actually. I don't even remember. No, I actually got those at Nordstrom Rack. Ah. Yeah. Naturally. Trust me, I definitely have a Fucci pair too, though. yeah, that's my story. Thank you for listening. Tell me all about you. Wow. Okay. where to begin? I went back to Capri. You did. You did. I had to. Okay. I might make a r- another reservation three months from now. No, you have to. I might go back quarterly. I would go once a week. I would, no remorse. I would go. If I could afford it, I would. And we had the best waiter. I forget his name. He was an angel. I was obsessed with him. He walked over to me and was like, "What can I get you, baby girl?" Baby girl. And he overheard us talking about maternal instinct. Mm-hmm. And so when he came to the table to drop something off, I was like, "It is so fucked up," but I c- I couldn't stop watching it. It's, like, so insane. And so we were talking about... And he goes, "What the fuck are you guys talking about?" I love an eavesdropper. He was like, "I'm so sorry, but what are you talking about?" And I was like, "There's a Netflix documentary. It's called Maternal Instinct. I need you to watch it." And he was like, "Will you come back next week and we can have a debrief?" And I was like, "Yes." And did you? No. I was away for work. I was working. I don't care. Can we go back just to the bar? Yeah, we can go hang out at the bar, and I'll try to find him and ask him if he watched Maternal Instinct. Okay. I go to get the chicken parm a la vodka again. I... And can I tell you what I did? What? Their, the ricotta and the honey buns- Mm-hmm there was still some left- Mm-hmm the whipped ricotta, and he was like, "Do you wanna take this home to, like, the chicken parm?" And I was like, "Yeah." And he went to go grab my plate, and I was like, "No, no, that, too." Yeah. Whip it up. Whip... Get those honey buns in there. And he was like, "The ricotta?" And I was like, "Yes." I mean, b- who leaves that- I, I need you- Who leaves that behind? to not leave one morsel of this behind. God, no. No, and I carried it around. We bar hopped, and I carried it. I j- I would, too. I just envisioned you, like, go- picking up it, picking up the plate in front of him and locking eyes and just being like, "Ah." Oh my God, and licking it? Yeah. Oh my God. I don't know, babe. Colleen, what the fuck? I don't know. it was delicious. I can't wait to go back, and I regret nothing. We went out early and came back early, so which was, I just love those. I just love an early dinner night in- Yeah after being cute, though. Yeah. Like, I have to go out into the world, but I wanna be home and in my bed at a good hour. You graced the city with your presence, and that's all they needed. And that's all they needed. Until the next night. Which was, Lian and I, it was so beautiful out. I was like, "I wanna go find some Scots. I wanna go find some Scots. I know they're in the city. I know the tartan army is here. I can feel them." "I can sense them in my core." Mm-hmm. They are out. I can... I... It's like someone blowing a horn. Like, I know they're here- A bagpipe and I just need to go find them. Yeah. And so we started at Tia's- we walk around the North End. We get some meatballs. We get some garlic bread. Ugh. We're bopping around, and we end up at that beer garden right at the top of City Hall Plaza. Mm-hmm. But on the Faneuil Hall side. Yeah. So go to this garden- The Sam Adams one, right? Yeah. Yeah. We go to this garden. We meet this guy named Alex. Alex is an absolute delight, just a really cool guy. He is, like, a traveling physical therapist. Is a really cool code for something else, Bridgette? Shut up, Colleen. Okay. And so we we hang out with Alex, and then we're like, "Alex, we're gonna go find the Scotts, and we know where they are, and they're at this bar called The Black Rose. "We know you're not aro- from around here. You can join us." He was like, "Oh yeah, let's fucking go." So then in the line at The Black Rose, he gets a sausage, peppers, and onions, canon moment. I was like, "Take it in. Take a breath." We'll never find this again. "Really, really just feel your feet in the gravel in this moment." Be present. Because, because it will never happen again. It could happen again, and you would be so lucky. However, your first one is a high you may never reach. Okay. Noted. In life. 10 toes down. 10 toes down. So we meet up in line. We're just standing there, and we meet this group of girls who all work at a hospital, which we'll rename Nameless. And we start yapping with them, and they're having a grand old time, and they're like, "We're here to blow off steam." And one girl looks me dead in the eye and says, "Do you wanna see my party trick?" And you obviously say yes. And I'm... Clearly. And this woman whips out her nipple- in line at The Black Rose, squeezes it, and breast milk comes out. Okay. And she says, "I am not pregnant." Has she been pregnant? She works with children, and apparently if you are around screaming babies enough, even women who are not pregnant can have breast milk. She milked herself. She milked her dud. I- the way this woman's nipple- I'm sorry? Like, I was standing in line at The Black Rose, and then I was, I was watching a woman milk herself. I'm so glad this happened when I was with Leanne because I was able to say to Leanne, "I need you to watch this"- Mm-hmm without any context, and then got to see Leanne experience what I had just experienced- Her natural reaction for the first time. Yeah. Because I truly feel like when I say that people are gonna be like, "Bridget, that didn't happen." I now have multiple eyewitnesses, and I can tell you it fucking happened, and I laughed so hard. I was so uncomfortable, and I laughed so hard, and we became best friends with them. And then we went into the bar, and all of the Scots were there. No Scot, no party. Those are my brothers in arms. They are ohana. I'm obsessed with them. I want them to come to my birthday party. I want them to come to my Christmases. I wanna do Christmas cards with them. And I want an annual adventure through the city of Boston with the Scottish. They should be allowed to visit, like, once a month. No, like, we need, we need an annual Scotland party. You know what I think? I feel really strongly about it. I think Boston just matches their vibe the best. So we were talking about this with the Scottish, and they were saying to us how, like, they love our sense of humor, and they love our delivery 'cause it's so similar to theirs, that, that making fun of you, cheeky, but with tough skin- Banter. Yeah and also, like, with a level of kindness that's, like, all good-humored and fun. The energy in there was just fucking palpable. Like, walking around the city and seeing people in kilts and playing bagpipes and drunk in the middle of the street at 2:00 PM, like, I, I have not felt the city like that in a very long time. The city was alive. I would say it was pre-COVID vibes in the city. It was so fun because they are so excited- Yeah and it just, like, bleeds into everything else And then Boston's so excited about their excitement. Yeah. I mean, the governor was getting involved, the mayor got involved, like- We gotta share everybody loves the Scottish. Share the wealth. And then they went to Miami, and I was like, "Oh my God, they're cheating on us. How dare-" They're not gonna, they're not gonna like it down there. It's too hot. No, they're just not. It's too hot for their skin. It doesn't fit their vibe. We're they gonna go to The Clevelander in Miami and like, in their kilts? That's not gonna mesh well. No, they have to come back here. They will. This is their home now. They can and they will. They can and they will. So the very next morning, not feeling great, I flew to San Francisco. Fighting for my life. Okay. Had some burrito tacos and went to bed at about 6:00 PM San Fran time. And then had, like, this big company event. I will say, I have never been to a Giants game. Okay. And the Giants have Oracle Park, and it's right on the Bay, and it is so- That's cool fucking beautiful. Like, to go to a... The, the park's just insane. So like, to go to the park on the water- Mm-hmm and watch a baseball game was really, really awesome. I was there for a work event that I helped throw, and I won't go into it, 'cause who gives a fuck what we do for work? But I handle a lot of, like, logistical things. I want you to guess what gender- Ugh showed up, multiple of them Without a hotel confirmation number to a company event they flew across the country for. Would you like to guess which gender did that? Not a female. A woman... I'm sorry, I'm gonna be sexist. A woman would never. I want you to name one woman who would get on an airplane and show up to a company-wide event with hundreds of people without a confirmation to the hotel they were staying at. Well... The company doesn't book it, they book both. They book both their flight and their hotel. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. I would say- So it was their responsibility. They were sent multiple reminders multiple times in multiple different ways. So they're just idiots. If, I, I, I take it back. I was about to say that sounds like something I would do, but John wouldn't. But to, knowing that I had to book it independently, I wouldn't do that. But if I was like, just showed up and was like, couldn't find it, that's, of course I wouldn't. And we have a list of people who haven't, who get constant reminders, "Hey, you need to book your hotel. Hey, the date's coming up, you need to go book your hotel." The exact quote, "I thought I did it and I didn't. So I showed up to a hotel where I had not booked a room for five days." Okay. Cool. We'll figure it out. I'm sure- And we do, and it's fine Yeah, but it probably costs more, no? it actually costs more for same-day cancellations. Oh, okay. It's, it's more about canceling. Luckily, not luckily, but you know, things come up, people can't go, kids get sick. People cancel, so I just transfer the rooms to the right, to the new person. But it's like, who flies across country for a massive company event where, like, you're a new hire too? That's crazy. You're not someone who's been there for years and years and years. You're, like, t- trying to show good face. Best foot forward type of shit. Not a great start. Now, luckily, met them, lovely. Lovely humans. Good. But I was like, "What the fuck are you doing?" Just idiots. Good Lord. I also, I love these events so much. I get so much from them, especially when you work remote. I think anyone can relate to this. Like, especially if you're an extrovert, I go to these events and I feel so fulfilled, but I come home and I am fucking dead. So I got viral tonsillitis. I was on my deathbed the entire weekend I got back, and I was just like, "I can't do this every quarter, where I come home and I'm down for the count- Dead for a week." So I think I'm either gonna be just hand sanitizing my whole body. Ew. I don't know how to do it. I don't know how to go and do the event the way that it needs to be done and also not die. So if anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears. I'm all ears. Because the next one, I come home on Thursday night at 11:00 PM. Mm-hmm. I leave for a wedding Friday morning in Stowe, Vermont. Oh. So getting sick the next time, not an option. No. So we'll see. Okay. Okay. So I get back. I have tonsillitis. I'm a mess. I go to urgent care. I ask for some help. They're like, "No problem. We're gonna give you lidocaine that you have to gargle." For those who are listening, lidocaine's the thing they shoot into your gums when they're doing, like, surgery on your tooth. Gargling it is truly a fate worse than death. I have never in my life experienced... And do you know what was also really annoying about it? I had no other symptoms. Other than your throat? I, swallowing felt like swallowing glass. Interesting. So eating was horrible. Drinking was horrible, but I was totally fine. I didn't have a fever. I didn't have a cough. I didn't even have the sniffles. That's so interesting. It was- And random so annoying. Mm. I really did not appreciate it, but it could be worse. So I finally get over that, and Paula and I go to P-town for the Fourth of July. You guys. Heaven is a place on earth She'll never recover And its name is Provincetown. Mm-hmm. I loved it. I loved it so much. If you are not from the Boston area, Provincetown is gay Disneyland- That's a good way to put it on Cape Cod. And it's, like, truly the easiest ferry ride in the world. It's right downtown. It's an hour and a half. It has full bar and also food. Oh, I didn't know that. So we just sat, and yapped, and ate, and caught up, and had some drinks. And then P-town is just everything I've ever... Well, I was literally on Zillow while I was there, you guys. Like, I was sending Erin and Colleen, like, "This is where I might live." Truro is deep, though. But with Truro, so we were in Truro, which is the town over. There's a free shuttle service. It was 15 minutes away. Hm. We were on the bus stop. Ah. So we would literally get ready. It came out every half hour. So we would get ready, go stand at the bus stop for three minutes, get picked up, and get dropped downtown right by the pier. That is nice. So it's like to and fro is completely free, unless one night we did miss it, and we Ubered, but, like, who cares? It just was so gorgeous. It was so fun. And for those of you who listen to the pod, a lot of you know I hate July 3rd because it's the anniversary of our cousin Shannon dying, and It sucks. That day sucks so bad, and I woke up, and I cried. But you know what the beauty of P-town is, one moment you're crying because your best friend is dead, and the next minute Liza Minnelli's having a nervous breakdown for fun and doing cartwheels in the street. Yeah. And at one point- Also, Shannon wouldn't have wanted it any other way, respectfully Like, no, truly, she wouldn't have. And at one point, one of the drag queens sang Into My Face. It's all coming back to me now. It's like she knew. It's like she knew. Like, at one point it looked like I had a bruise, and it was just lipstick stains on my face- because she just sang, lip synced Into My Mouth. And I was just like, "Yes." So we ended up having the best day. It was the best weather. We were at a bar when the US won the soccer game- Ah the soccer match. So, like, those vibes were incredible. One man at the Tin Pan Alley, he sang fucking Jason Robert Brown to me. I was like, "All of my favorite things are happening." That's fun. The only thing I didn't have was a hot dog. Oh, okay. That's all right. And that's upsetting. Yep. I mean- I really should have done better that's okay. But I did have a bunch of potato skins. Then- The boat slip, the T dance Oh, come on. Governor Bradford's Old Colony Ta- like, Harbor Lounge. I just, I loved it. I loved it. I can't wait to go back. I'm going biannually. Okay. Last, but certainly not least, it was super expensive to leave the, on July 5th, essentially, the Sunday. When, when everyone's mass exiting. Right. It's the mass exodus, the ferry schedules are insane. You're getting on a boat with, like, 3,000 people. Not really, but you know, you guys know what I mean. Yep. And so, and just one more night at the hotel was really expensive, so we took the last ferry out on July 4th, and they had us watch the fireworks from the ferry boat, and then when we ferried into Boston, we got to see them there. I was like, "This is the best 4th of July view of fireworks a human could possibly get." That's so true. I would feel like that. What a fucking dream. What a fucking delight. What time is it at? Like, 9:00? So it's at 9:00, so you're supposed to be back by 11:30, but they, like, stayed out in the, on the water so we could watch the full thing. So we ended up leaving at, like, 9:30. Oh, nice. So it was, like, happening while we were coming in. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, it was great. All up and down. It was so cool. Nice. Oh my God, you know what I meant to tell you? What? One woman, One drag queen, she came out. We were at the post office, which, like, bury me. Sprinkle my ashes at the post office in P-town. She comes out, and she was dressed like the evil stepmom from Cinderella. Do you know what I'm talking about? Yes. And so it started off with, like, "Clean the floor," and she's like, "But I already have a job." "Do it again," and she's, like, yelling. So she was yelling at everyone. "Wash 'em." And sh- it transitioned to You Better Work, bitch, by Britney Spears. Shut up. And she went, "Get to work." And she started, like, voguing in the... I was screaming. I was literally screaming. Such niche humor, but such good humor. It's so funny. They had, there was a drag queen called A Woman Named Carlos. That's it? And the bartenders had T-shirts on that said, "A T-shirt named Carlos." Incredible. So stupid. So funny. A woman named Carlos went around the bar and just guessed where people were from and what their deal was, and she was right every single time. Shut up. Did she attack you? She w- oh, well, she walked up to us and sh- she goes, "Hi." I go, "Hi." She goes, "Ugh, two straight people, never mind." Attacked. And she just roasted people. Very, last resort, but drag. Ye- but in drag, yes. In, like, roasting, but so funny. Everyone had a great time. Yeah. Like, it just was the best hour and a half of my life I love that for you. Thank you. Okay, while we're watching- I know we're gonna spread your ashes what are you doing? What have you been, what have you been reading? What have you been- Oh, okay, what's your culture update? Uh, my culture update, I have been reading the Zodiac series. I'm on, like, book six of it. Honestly, it's, like, not that great. I'm not addicted, but there's like 20- In The Academy? Yeah, those ones. Oh. They're old. I'm pretty sure they're old. But I just- Oh, I know exactly what you're talking about I read, like, the first, like, one, and then I was like, "Okay, I gotta-" With the sisters? Yeah, I just kept going. Interesting. Okay. It's not really that interesting to me anymore, I'm not gonna lie. It's kinda cringe. Oh, really? Yeah, it's, like, kinda cringe to me now. Oh, wow. I thought you would eat it up. You know what it is? I like the idea. I like, like, the location. I like the idea, but it gets, like, a little too, like, high school-y, cringey to me at times. YA. Yeah. Yeah. Like, I would say probably 20% of the time. Okay. Other 80, I'm fine. Cool. But then sometimes they'll, like, do something and I'm like, "Ugh, just skip that part." To be honest, there were just too many for me. Yeah. I read the first one, and I hated the ending. I thought, I, I didn't- I don't even remember I didn't like anyone. They cut her hair. No, do you know what it is? And they try to drown her in the pool. They are really annoying about that. It's like where is this gonna go? They all have a character arc now that I'm on book six. And I also want the, I've seen one- No, I hear it's awesome and you kinda have to, like, trudge through the first few. Yeah, I love every single one of them now. Oh, okay. Yeah. Interesting. Yeah. Very interesting. They all have inter, like, and also apparently there's a really good way to read them and it's not the order in which that they are. Oh, yeah, a lot of those- Which is really annoying series do that. So someone's like, "Oh, just read book four," like, on TikTok, and then someone's like, "No, you should've read, like, novella four-two," blah, blah, blah. Yeah, 'cause there's- It would make more sense. Right. Why does it make more sense to read it that way? Why didn't they do it in the right or- I don't know. Yeah. Makes me angry. you know what I've been watching randomly? I loved the, uh, the Worst Boyfriend Ever, the worst neighbor. You know, the, that series on Netflix? Oh, yes. Worst- They have the worst neighbor ever. Yes. Oh my God, did you see the lady with her tits out? Yeah, that's what I watched last night. Oh, how was it? It was g- it was, I mean, it's not good. It's sad. Yeah, it's awful. But it's, like, people are so unwell. Truly. It's interesting, though. A lot of people need lots of therapy and- Oh, yeah, 'cause we did an episode on the worst roommate ever, didn't we? Or I, I told a story or two about it. You talked about a guy, I'll never forget it, actually. The worst roommate ever because he basically got into this house, and then once he got in he would become, like, an absolute fucking nightmare as a roommate. Oh, yes. What do they call it? Remember when he, he, there was like a, a table- That was just in LARPers. Yeah, the, what, when they- And he took five of the six chairs or something. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he ends up almost, he ends up attempting to murder someone. Oh my God, what do they call when people move in their house and they won't leave? Squatter squatter. I was thinking esquire. Squatter's rights. Serial squatter Jamison Bateman Oh, yep. Yep Or Bachman? Uh, Bachman. Yeah. I just remember the girl had a lisp, but it really bothered me. That's in, uh, Do Thy Kegel- uh, um, which came out 4/16/25- if anyone is curious. Thank you for the reference. I love a fact-checker. Oh my God, I was just reading my own notes being like, "What am I writing?" I wrote, "America is 250." Go. Okay, Colleen. Yeah, pop off. Yep, she is- Happy 250 she is 250. Woo-hoo, pop off. Paul Revere, woo. Whatever. I saw a thing today that was like, what happened this weekend calorically cannot happen again. Oh. And I- Yeah just really f- I felt personally attacked by it. I had calamari yesterday. Oh, did you have it with a little marinara or a little tartar charter? No. Oh, god, I'm scared of tartar sauce, even though I know- Oh, tartar sauce is so fucking good I, even though I think it's just, like, mayo-based, but whatever. It's 100% mayo-based. It had, like, a lemon aioli situation. Yeah. I re- I very much liked it, but I stayed away from the tentacle. Yeah, that's fair. That's fair. There was also fried artichokes in it, which really confused me. Ignore those. That, that was weird. Yeah. But I love a fried pepper. A fried pepper? Loved it. I could eat the whole- Oh, was that the one you said it was bigger than your head or something? No, that was an arancini. Oh. I had an arancini, you guys, that was literally the size of my head. I'm not kidding. 'Cause we walked into... You know Cal's in Redding? No. People, I guess it's, like, iconic ice cream, but they also have- Oh like, a pizza food place attached to it. Cool. so we went there and they had, like, these arancinis in the window, and I kept being like, "No, I don't need anything. I don't want anything." "I don't need it. No, I'm good. I just got a Diet Coke," and then I was just looking at it, and then someone in the line... Well, John was like, "Get one," and I was like, "No, no, no, it's okay. I don't, I don't need it. I, I don't need it." No, no, not me. I was just- I couldn't possibly. I'm so skinny. I couldn't possibly. And then some guy in line goes, "What is that?" And the guy behind the counter starts, like, listing it off, and I just looked at John and I was like, "We should get one." And he was like, "Okay." So I got one. So fucking good. It had, like, ground beef, randomly peas in it too- Oh which, like, I usually like the arancinis that have just, like, rice and cheese- Cheese but, in, like, red sauce. But, like, for some reason, I was like, "Mm." I ate, like, half of it. It was so fucking good. I'm so sick of autocorrect is what I wrote. So I've been texting a lot for work lately. Mm-hmm. And I'm, I, so I switched to a m- I usually have all lowercase letters. I don't have autocorrect. I fucking hate autocorrect. I like the capitals on the beginning of sentences. Cool. That's great. Thanks for doing that for me. Everything's wrong. I will say it has gotten... It used to know better of what I was trying to say. Mm-hmm. Now it autocorrects to something I wasn't even trying to fucking write. It's disrespectful. And it's like you're trying to speed me up, you're slowing my ass down. And I have to rewrite four separate texts and, like, put stars. No. Fuck is that shit? No. Annoying. I'm over it. I'm done. I'm, I hate it. Yeah. what is the white party? And why do people go to it? Whose house is that? Who is that person? To be honest, I find it weird because that was, like, P. Diddy's thing, and that's where they would go and assault young girls. So I'm like, why are we still having white parties? Don't, don't they have a negative connotation now? Was it? I thought it was the same guy that's had them all along. No, those were P. Diddy's parties. Oh, then who's Michael? Or whatever the fuck his name is. Let's House chat. The most famous celebrity white party is hosted by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin held annually at his estate in Bridgehampton, New York. It draws an exclusive guest list of A-list celebrities, athletes, and entertainers for the Fourth of July weekend Hmm While Reuben's event is the most widely publicized, the term has also historically been used for the legendary white parties hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs in various local or charity all-white events held in cities across the world. So they both have one, basically. Got it. Okay. They have them everywhere, but who decided, like, white, you know? Yeah, it's definitely a rich person thing. It's in the Hamptons, so, like, keep that in mind. That's fair. I actually like the Hamptons. I wrote, "I'm so sick of autocorrect. The dominoes that I bought..." Oh, I found these dominoes, which I know you guys don't remember them, but for some reason I do, like, so vividly. I don't at all to the point where I texted my mom and I said, "Do you remember these?" And she was like, "Yeah, from Nana's house." Like, I don't know why or why I just, like, had autism as a child and was obsessed with them. Mm. No idea. I think I would put them all around the kitchen. And it was a vivid, old, uh, pack of dominoes that had s- boats on them, on the back of each domino. I don't know how to explain it other than that. And it's literally from the '70s. I walked into this, like, crusty old antique store, and I mean crusty. Like, d- dust everywhere. I don't know. Uh, and John was like, "What the fuck are we doing in here?" And I just happened to walk past a thing of, like, cups, and I saw a pack of dominoes, and it was the exact dominoes from Nana's house, so I just bought them. And the guy was like, "You do realize this is, like, the original pack from the '70s?" And I was like, "Listen, I know I'm mentally ill, and I have a weird memory, and I, I, I could tell you that they're from there, probably." but it made me feel weird inside in a good way. And you bought them. And I bought them, so now I have them. I don't know what I'm gonna do with them. But I- I like that but I have them. what is what is the white party? No more eating, I wrote. That's like the fourth time you've said it in this list. It must be on my brain. Jesus Christ. I, I know. It must be on my brain. Yeah, must be. Jesus. I had calamari and liked it, came after that, an arancini the size of my head, and my sunglasses. Those are all my notes for the day. Oh my God, did you see online, uh, the Noah Kahan concert in Boston? Where he told people not to poop on the floor? Yes, because some woman was, like, actively shitting herself because she didn't wanna lose her... Like, she didn't wanna miss a thing. Yeah. Like, can we not? What has happened to society with incontinence? I have to say, n- I have, I talk to a lot of people all day long of different generations. Okay. I'm, I am worried for us all. Oh, I think below mine is not well. I think a lot of us are not well, and I think we're losing the ability to be normal in public. I completely agree. I found myself twalking today, texting and walking. Mm. Aggressively to the point where someone was like, "Heads up." And I was like, "Oh, that's, like, actually icky." Like, I couldn't get off... Like, I was actually... I was, it was a work text message I was sending. Mm-hmm. Yeah. It's not like I was, like, scrolling on Instagram or anything. But, like, I had the wherewithal to be like, "Oh my God, that was so embarrassing." Yeah. But, like, other people do not. That's true. That's correct. And those are my thoughts. Thanks for listening. Travis and Taylor got married. How do you feel? I had that on there too as well. Uh, I don't like it. Why? Why are we getting married at MSG, and why are we shutting down streets to do it? And why is Taylor Swift the- Aaron would have such an eloquent way to say this, but like Taylor Swift being the poetic genius baddie she is, inviting everyone and their mother to her fucking wedding like it's a public concert. What? There was a lot of people there. Yeah. It's like those are not your close, like, you know- Well, at one point I saw Gronk and Julian Edelman there. Why the fuck was Edelman at Taylor Swift's wedding? And I was like, what? George Kittle and his wife, and what's her name, Cusick, whatever the fuck her last name is. I was like, why are these people... Like, I get, like Sabrina, and I get Selena Gomez. Like I get, I get that. Why are, why? Why? Yeah, it was a lot of people. I didn't like it. And also it's just very unlike her to go and, you know, ma- shut- cause a big scene, and like have to shut down. Take the ci- people from the city that are like working, and like shut down streets for like the day, and like be really inconvenient. I just feel like that's very unlike her. Yeah. I was surprised 'cause I always thought it was gonna be at the Rhode Island house. Yeah. I would love to know Erin's thoughts on this. Do you want me to ask her? Yeah. I need to know. And will you ask in a group? I just wanna be involved. And also like the the NDAs of it all. Hi, Erin. Hey. What are you up to? With your children. Oh, right. You have one of those. We wanna know what your thoughts are on Taylor and Travis's wedding. So I Same. Yeah Since it, since it occurred, obviously she's a billionaire. She probably made it look however she wanted, and she's like, you know, brilliantly creative, so I'm sure it was amazing. But I think two things I learned stuck out to me. The first is that Elizabeth Taylor got married there once. Yeah. Ah. Oh, okay. You know? All right. The golden glam of old Hollywood, I think that some of that played in. The second, I think, is just like no drones flew above it, no photographer with a mile-long lens was s- in a mountainside. True. Nobody could get in without her security approving them by, like, ID. There were QR codes. I think my point being- Security I think it was probably about security. Interesting. And truly, where could, where could she get married privately? It's a limited number of places I'm just shocked it was MSG with all of those people The Elizabeth Taylor thing made me go like, "Oh." Yeah. Yeah. 'Cause otherwise Everything else about it, and was the guest list like a mile long? Yeah, I guess it was like 800 to 1,000 people. 800 to 1,000 people? She, she is- Like, she definitely has such, like, deep-rooted things from her soul to say in her vows, and she's gonna do that in front of 1,000 people? Like, I just can't see that for her. Yeah Oh, it's a party The actual ceremony was separate. Oh, 100 per- that makes way more sense Ah. tour dancer. She had every band member that's ever played on her albums and on her live shows, like choreographers, design- she had all of those kind of people. Uh. Country music people, you know. And then he had all these football people. So it's not like as old a crossover. Well, yeah, I was like, "What the fuck is Grogg and Julie Nelson doing?" I picture them, this is like giving like musical showdown on the dance floor. Ooh, tell us. Oh Oh There's like a very, a play that's like so obviously called wrong on the field, and they cut to the, the like former ref, our rules analyst, and he, immediately agrees with the call on the field even though everybody in the world's eyes can see that that's wrong. Yeah, sure. That's, that's Dean Blandino. Okay. That's so random. Yeah, that makes sense Richard Sherman to be there unless he has some connection to the Was Richard Sherman on the Seattle Seahawks? Yeah, he's the guy whose name was holding up the board. Oh, yes. Okay, that's exactly why I know who it is. He's, uh, Malcolm Butler. Yeah. Okay. anything else you wanna add? wellness and joy in her life. I think they, like, probably really match each other's freaks in a real weird way- and I'm happy for them that they found that. Do you think she had the, do you think she had the bangs and the red lip? Had a lip short p- Oh, after party. Yeah. And- Okay, that makes sense that's my guess. And supposedly he wore a white tux, which, like that, that surprises me. Okay, Killer Trav. The same person that wrote Enchanted about meeting someone for one time at a party for, like, several hours. That's true. And she wrote a song that chants over and over again, "Please don't be in love with someone else." So I think we need to remember, like, this is the girl who wrote Love Story. She is- Horse girl artsy, fartsy- Yeah romantic, horse girl, theater geek, songwriting, diary-sharing queen, and she threw herself a party, and I'm happy for her. Oh, that was really nice, Erin. I was gonna say eloquent. I know. Colleen was like, "Erin will have such an eloquent way of saying this." Like, we should just call her. You know- Finds peace and had, had fun Yeah, 100%. Also, supposedly Paul McCartney sang I Want To Hold Your Hand for the first time- since like 1964. That's sick. Get the fuck out of here. Yeah. Surround me off the third balcony of MSG, like truly. Wait, when do you think we'll know more? Uh, do you think she did an exclusive with like, you know, People? I don't know. If we don't... Yes, we don't get a Vogue- That's what I mean As to why it's so private US Weekly. Yeah, it's not gonna be like Variety, but it's, it's gotta be like, it's gotta be Vogue or something. She's better than that Yeah. 6 million. Wow. Wow. New York City, of course, yeah. That's- Queen legend fucking incredible. Yeah. She is the moment. Okay. Well, thank you kindly for your- Thank you your thoughts and your words per usual. Happy podding. Can we hang out on Thursday? Yeah, let's hang out. Okay. I don't, I don't care if Karen's there. I've been waiting for you, Colleen. She- I've been holding onto it for, like, two months No, like you're actually gonna cry. What would you- Wait, what'd she say? I didn't hear. She has a sussy for you. No, I'm not serious. A sussy? Oh, that's so nice Yeah. As, she calls it a messie I just came in. I just came in. It's when you buy something for someone without, like, a reason or a holiday. That's so nice. Yeah, just in case they don't like it. I have that from, uh, from Na- when you bought me Nana's dupe necklace from Target. Yeah, just like that Okay, that's so nice. Okay, see you on Thursday. Okay, bye. Bye. You will shit a brick when you figure out what she bought you. No, I'm upset in a good way. I know, I know, you should be. She was like, "Do you wanna give it to her?" I go, "There is not a world in which you are not giving this to her from you." I think she just figures, like, I'll see you sooner. Yeah, yeah. So she's like, "Just tell her it's from me and whatever." Yeah. I'm like, "No, no, no. You are gonna be there when she opens this and-" That's like equivalent- bursts into tears" that's Erin's version of, like, y- someone famous giving to a charity anonymously. Do you know what I mean? Yes. Like, doesn't want credit. Like, it's like, no. She's like, "No, I'm fi- like, don't make a big deal out of it." Yes, yes, yes, yes. It's like not that big of a deal even though it's the most thoughtful thing on the planet. okay. What else? Wow, that was, like, such a good little bit in the m- I totally agree with her. I think that MSG is purely out of security, but obviously there's, like, you can pick a lot of places that have that type of security. Yeah. I mean, Zendaya and Tom Holland got married, married and no one's heard a single fucking thing about it. Yeah, that's true. They, like, barely confirmed it. I just think having that many people and also keeping it a secret s- and secure is impossible, and MSG does make sense. 100 to 1,000 people- No is fucking crazy. Do you think she talked to Amy Seckel one of them that night? Probably. No, she c- you can't. I could see her doing that. Have you been to a... You've been to a conference like that. There are people, I worked at, like, the check-in counter of a conference, and there were some people I didn't come face to face with with that many people there. That's crazy, actually. Hmm. Wow. Oh, Erin's the best. Okay, what else are you up to? honestly nothing. That's truly it. Just l- searching for peace on an endless... Me and peace are, are two boats that have con- have not connected in the ocean. We're just passing each other in the night. But there, there, the day will come. I think it's coming soon. I think you boasted it was July 11th. it's past that. What is it now? It's the 25th. Uh, 26th. The 25th I have to work at the food pantry. Okay. July 26th. July 26th. And then it will be your birthday. Yep. Which is really nice and exciting. Do you wanna hear some of the things I've been watching? Yes, I really do. RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars un- Oh, a new season fucking believable. Did you wait until it was all out? No, I couldn't wait this time. Do you know why? So sometimes they do a regular season of All Stars, which is, like, everybody goes and it's, like, one queen down a week and that's it. Sometimes they do, they did a season of winners- Mm-hmm where they all stayed the whole time, but every time you win a challenge you get a point. Oh. So s- like, All Stars- That's cool doesn't look the same every time. This All Stars is crazy, and you basically get put into three brackets, and they all have a different color. And there's, like, six of them in each bracket, and then the two winners go to the semifinals against the other brackets. So it's, like, the two best drag queens from each bracket. Got it. And then there's a wild card. And so Ru and Michelle Visage get to decide of all three brackets who are the three queens that go into this, like, wild card, who basically they think, like, should have made it or have more in the, more like- Yeah, like their cards weren't in their favor and then they literally roll it like bingo. They put the balls, and Br- it's usually Bruno. Bruno picks it out and holds up a name, and that's who gets to go. It is unbelievable. Every bracket gets better and better. Now we're at the semifinals. Okay. So we're now at, like, the best of the best, the finals. It's... I have no notes. I love it so much. It gives me so much joy. It gives me so much joy. I love it for you. Voicemails for Isabelle. Oh my God, I did watch that. I- Wept wept. When I was in Vegas- Yes the girl and I that I work with, someone had said, "Has anybody watched it?" And we had a d- we, the event I worked at, we had a DJ. Me and the girl learned the dance. And we had the DJ play it in a room of 400 people. For Robin? Yeah, so we both, we both did it to, "I'm in the corner watching you kiss her." Oh my God, that's so cute, Colleen, like- Yeah, so me and this girl, my girl Kim, uh, we did it, uh, on the floor at the, uh, volunteer event. Oh my God, that's so funny. Yeah, sorry to make it about myself. How wholesome. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it took us a little while. We played it on Netflix on her computer in the back room. Oh. And we were like, "Ha." Anyhoo, sorry to make that about myself, but yes, so good. No, it, it's honestly probably the best rom-com I've seen in a long time. Years. Years. He is a man written by a woman. Mm-hmm. Talk about a man written by a goddamn woman. Mm-hmm. There is a part where I cried so hard when her phone gets updated. Mm-hmm. Because that happened to me. Yeah. And I cried so hard for her, it made me wanna die. Yeah. Uh, then the other part I cried at, for much different reasons, is when at the end they're both leaving voicemails at the same time. Mm-hmm. And Robin comes on. Yep. Get out of here, and her sister is dancing in the back. No, that movie made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time I wept. I wept. I haven't, you know how I, I almost texted you. Oh my God, I'm so dumb. I cried- Same unexpectedly cried, like how I cried when we went to Wicked and I wasn't expecting to cry. Yes. It was that type for me, and I was like- Yes "Come on, man." Get it together. I was like, "What the fuck?" Love Island USA. Okay. My goodness gracious. I can't, I can't do it. Oh my God. Casa Amor. I've heard it sucks. It's just the, the, the men just suck. I wanna watch UK I think instead. I can't do them- The UK's the best at the same time though. I just can't do it. No, you can't. No, you have to live in one universe and then the other one. So I might do UK. I really like Bryce and Trinity. We ride or die for Carl. I love Aniyah. Sincere, this guy Sincere, is the worst person. Who the fuck names their kid Sincere? And guess what? He lies all the time. And listen, it starts from the top. It's your parents' fault. So one, one girl says to him, "Your name may be Sincere, but you're not honest." Okay. Okay girl, you got him. Burned him. Uh, no, Sincere is the worst. I'm really not feeling Corbin. Parminder I actually kinda like, which is shocking. Casey, I, they, they just do so- Movie night was so hard to watch. Movie night is when they show themselves clips. Yeah. But it's like the first time they're all watching it, so it's all cut behind the scenes, the shit you, like anytime you've talked shit, they play it in front of everyone, and then they're like- Nightmare "So how did you feel about that?" And then they all scream at each other. Mm-hmm. It was, it's two episodes. That's how much of a shit show it was. Did you do the, heart rate one yet? Yes, and so this year, so the heart rate challenge is like one of those iconic themed episodes. There's not a ton that carry over from the UK to the US, but that is one of them. This year they did something wicked mean. In this year, during the heart rate challenge, the girls are thinking they're gonna go first. So they're like all dressed up as, you know, nurses and fucking football players and whatever. Yep. And they're like ready to dance for their, for their mans. Okay? Right in front of the fire pit is just, like, a big box, and they're like, "We have a big present for you." Okay. And when they open it, it's a TV, and it says Casa Amor. They never do the heart rate challenge because the boys were brought over to Casa Amor, and then they watch their reaction to the women all dancing on them. They're, they're the men that they're dating. Oh. And they're watching it just live-streamed to them. One of them's like, "Yeah, throwing her right out the window." Nice. And that is how Casa Amor starts this year. Oh, that's really sickening. So it actually, at one point I was like, this is actually kinda cruel because they're all hyping, they're being fucking boys, and they're like- Yeah, but then that's their true colors. There you have it, early on. Right. So they're, the women start Casa Amor with, like, a fucking chip on their shoulder 'cause they're like, "Fuck all y'all." 'Cause they all immediately are... In the way the guys are looking at the gir- uh, it feels like a stripper getting off of work. Like, it, they were, like, licking their lips. Like, it just was- That's icky also a lot more fucking. A man would never react like that Oh, stop, Colleen. I'm just kidding. I would hate that actually a lot of fucking. Okay. And it's weird because, like, back in the day- Where the, where do they do that? On camera, girl. They literally just pull the blankets up. That's gross. They are on-camera fucking. They call it French frying this season. Ew. They have a different analogy for it every season, and this year it's french fries. Okay. So what's so interesting is, like, back in the day when Love Island UK came out, it wasn't millions and millions of people watching it o- on, you know, every different platform all over the world. It was like OG- Real World? Yes. It was like Snooki. Do you know what I mean? Before it becomes a big deal, before you're, like, worried what people think. They were, like, ripping cigs in the garden and fucking in the back room. Do you know what I mean? It was like- Yeah feral, but because the situation called for it, it wasn't that big of a deal yet. Now it feels like it's for clout. Ew. And it just has a different ick to me. Like, okay, your dad watches that probably. That's what I mean. Like, your nana is watching that. Yep. There is a part of Casa Amor where Casa Amor and the original villa go head-to-head for a challenge, and you get paired up with someone, and it's like lick X, Y, and Z, right? I hate those. And so they're, like, licking each other's toes. Whatever. I keep seeing, like- But- enough with the... We have more wholesome ones are actually funnier sometimes. They couldn't even show portions of it because people were, like, eating each other's ass on camera. There's a one point where it goes free-for-all, and The dirtier you get, the more likely you are to win. And so it just goes, it's an orgy. Like, it was like if anyone's watched- Ugh the movie Sausage Fest- No with okay. Well, when everyone be fucking, that's what they be doing. Mm. Everyone at the same time. Girls on girls, boys on boys. Switch, switch, switch, switch. Riding each other. On top of each other. 69ing each other. Like, it was the craziest. I was like, "I cannot believe this is on public TV. I can't believe this is on Peacock." Ew. Ariana Maddox, call someone. I don't like that. Yeah, so it's gotten a little raunchy for the sake of the click, and that I don't like. Okay. But of course, I'm hate watching it because I do that every year with Love Island USA. Of course. So- I just, my, my issue with that is the c- time commitment. For sure. For sure. Once you get caught up though, if you're sick for like five straight days and you can't swallow anything, let me tell you, getting an ice cream from down the street and watching like six straight episodes of Love Island U- USA, kinda, kinda great. Okay, yeah. Kinda great. Last but certainly not least, Off fucking Campus. You guys Yep. Yep I am obsessed. I went in, respectfully, lowest of low expectations. I don't like YA shit. I don't like The Summer I Turned Pretty. I don't like- That's a different category. Do you know what I mean, though? Like, I don't do Emily in Paris. Like, I don't like corny... I don't know what it is. Yeah. Like, there's a level of, like, Lifetime original movie that happens that I'm just like, "Ugh." Yeah, I agree. So I just went in thinking it would be like that, just, like, a corny YA. First the fuck of all, hot hockey boys talking about consent and their feelings? Okay, that, that part, like, threw me. And making women feel safe? Jesus Christ, Bridget. Colleen. I'm so happy. Young, impressionable boys will watch that and know that that's the right thing to do. Uh- This is a very big deal uh-huh. Okay. I'm really glad that- Women will watch that and be like, "Fuck yeah, that's what I want," and have higher standards becau- Okay because of it. Yeah. No, y- snap. Snap. Snap. I- don't you dare. Don't you dare. I will come over there and I will punch you straight in the throat. Clock it, glock it, whatever the fuck the people say these days. It's not glock. That's a gun. It's clock. It's clocking someone's tea, Colleen. And you're supposed to put, like this. Is it just- Tap, tap, tap, tap, tap it's just thumb and, and whatever this finger is? Yeah. Oh, okay. I thought it was like this. 'Cause drag queens, th- it's from drag queens originally- Okay and it's, like, applause. Oh, okay. And then it became, like, clocking it. Like- There was a little girl at one of my volunteer events, and I was- Did she clock your tea? I gave her a T-shirt, and I said, "Okay, girl." And she said, "Yeah, girl, clock that tea. Clock it." And I said, I, I went back to her and I was like, "Okay." Snap, snap, snap, snap, snap. I'm clocking. Clocking, flocking, whatever the fuck. It's so good. The character arcs- Yes the very adult topics, not YA- Mm-hmm at all. Yep. It just was so much more than what I expected. They're all so hot, too. That's correct. Like, what is happening? What are you all drinking? I don't know. I really don't know. And it's crazy how young she is. Um- Hannah's so beautiful she's so young. Is she? She- I think- I think she's British, too she's 18 or 19. In real life? Yeah. They're all 28. No. They're all, like, 28, too Oh my God. Yeah. Oh, that make me, that made me feel weird. No, it's like fine. I mean, she, she's definitely n- 19 then. but he is like 18. I mean not 18, 28 I think. 17, 28. Yeah. I just, I loved it. Like, I genuinely was like, I will watch the other seasons because they set it up to obviously continue. Mm-hmm. I will watch other seasons, and I will most likely re-watch this one. I- Each season is a book. Right. So how many books are there? Mm. Uh, well, there's, of just that friend group, like fi- five, but people loved it so much, the books, that they made a next gen one, so it's like their children. Oh. Yeah, yeah. So I'm assuming the next book is about her best friend. So the next book's actually not. It's actually John Logan's book, and then it's- Which, which one's John Logan? The- Uh, the scrappy... He's also a lot scrappier in the book, like he fights a lot. The poor best friend? The poor one that's a handyman that like fixes the pipes. Yeah. My favorite. He's supposed to be a redhead. Like a pale redhead. Oh, I'm mad. Yeah, and he's scrappy, and he, uh, like he just like l- is always fighting, and is just like a really good man with like an alcoholic. I think she might be- Oh a drug addict maybe. The, she doesn't have, he doesn't have a sister either. It's just him- Mm I believe. And if he does have a sister- Interesting in the book, she doesn't go to the school. Well, d- is it that like Gossip Girl-y thing where there's like a- Not real. Not real. So with the books are very much like less cheugy. Like there's none- Oh of that weird shit that they keep putting in. Like, I don't know how to explain it. Like anything that you were like, "Ooh," like relatively like, "Ooh," it doesn't exist in the book, and I think that's why I liked him, liked them so much. also they play it off, like so you know how like Dean talks about his sister Summer? Yeah. Like she has a book. Mm. And like- Mm-hmm like they, there's little like things that they throw at you. Little Easter eggs. So it's like, yeah, there's like more. There's like a, a second- Well, those are my favorite types of series is when they like cover the whole... That's why I love ACOTAR. And then they- It's like they, they cover all the- they graduate, and then there's like another round of people- Yeah that are like in the first books a little bit, and then like- So it's all at Briar University. Yes, yeah. The, so it's like basically like a Briar series. Guys, I'm obsessed. Yeah, it's really good. It's like not cringe to me. That's why I liked it so much. But it was also in my hockey spiral, so I don't know. I don't know. I don't know, man. But- It, it was so good. I'm definitely gonna re-watch it. You know what just f- made me laugh is they were in, I watched an interview on TikTok of them, and they were like, "What was the most like uncomfy scene to film?" And he was like, "That scene, but also not for the reason that you think." Because he said that like, when he's like wanking it in the chair- Yeah, when they're both masturbating he was like, uh, oh, I fucking hate that word. I don't know why. That's what they're doing, Colleen. I just like, I like to say wanking better. Okay. they, he was like, "We, that was the one scene we didn't do. Like it was just me." So, so I was quite- By himself? Yeah, so they had to go back like days later and just put him in the chair. Oh, that's so weird. I know. I would hate that. I was like, "Oh, okay." And just like pretend like you're watching her? I guess. Oh. Do you think when people film sex scenes like that they actually get hard? I don't remember who it was, but I guess there was an actor, like an old school one- Yeah who when shooting any sort of sex scene would say, "I'm sorry if it happens, but I'm also sorry if it doesn't." That's one- that's like the perfect way to do it. I feel like it is what it is. Like, I'm just sorry either way. I think that your body naturally will react to things. Like, I'm sure, I'm sure it's happened, but nowadays, which they used to not have and they do now, is they have, like, sex coordinators, and they just go in, they make sure, like, everyone's comfortable. Because as you can imagine, Hollywood 50 years ago didn't really care about the comfort of young women who are- Yeah with much older men in a scene. Yeah, that's fair. so now they have, like, coordinators who go in and are, like, there to help- Yeah and assist. But yeah, I, I guess they're, like, way more awkward than you think they are. Because also, music, you're gonna, like, roll your eyes at me, but music really does affect a scene. And so when you're watching something like that, it feels romantic, but in real life, you are in a room with lights on you from every angle. There's people watching. Everyone's... Someone has... You have a, a private sock on. So the person you're with also has a sock on, and there's, like, 50 people staring at you. Yeah, that ain't it. It's not hot. I'd be like, "Can I take three shots before I do this?" Yeah. Oh, oh my God, yeah. Do they do that, or is that, like, a consent thing? I think it... I'm sure Jennifer Lawrence has probably done it. But I think that then you have to, like, go do makeup. Yeah. Lower your inhibitions. Or maybe that's just me 'cause I have rosacea. I don't know. No idea. Just immediately flushed. No idea. But yeah, it just doesn't seem as hot as it looks. Yeah, that's fair. But yeah, I'm sure, I'm sure b- bodies react Cool. I think that's everything for now. Yeah. I have to pee really bad. Okay. Please go. Thanks. I'm in the corner. Thanks for letting me know. Watching you kiss her. Oh. I'm right over here. Why can't you see me? Oh. Today is a very special day. Why is that, Colleen? You- I feel like you deserve to share this monumental moment Guys, it has been four years of Sipping With The Shannons. That's, like, crazy. Like, in a way that that's, like, disturbing. Like, we've had four, four years worth of things to talk about. Yeah. Yeah. And, like, people have listened to us for four years. June 27th, 2022. That's crazy. 2022 feel, feels like yesterday, you know? And not four years ago. Do, would you agree? Like, 2020 feels yesterday. COVID feels like a completely different lifetime to me. Yet it was six years ago. Yeah, it's so crazy to think about. Remember we were just, like, inside for two years. Do you remember when we would just, like, sweat balls without AC in that room, and, like- willingly put ourselves in a sauna, and, like, still enjoyed it? In, in the pod room. And remember when we, like, we're visual? Yeah. Thank God we're not. Well, I do miss that a little bit. Ugh, I don't. I love the clips of us. They're so funny. The clips are funny. I, I'll, I'll say that. But it is nice to just hang. I, like, who... I can just lay like this. I'm looking at the ceiling. Head leaned back. Coochie not sweating. also, did you see Paige and Hannah? And Hannah got Botox in her- Oh, I did see that. I was dying laughing. Can she, like, get, like, a per- like, a permanent lip moisture thing while she's at it with her Botox? Because I can't look at her crusty lips anymore. Yeah, she gets the shit on that. She gets shit about that all the time, I guess. I'm a Hannah Berner hater, I won't lie. She is funny, though. I really like her. I... Her, so she basically got Botox in her jaw to help with her TMJ, which I actually have looked into. Mm. And they say it's supposed to be super helpful, and it froze her face. Like, she can't smile. She looks like Keira Knightley. Huh. It's fucking hilarious watching them talk to each other while her face is frozen, and it's only funny 'cause it's gonna go away and she's gonna be fine. Yes. But watching her try to laugh is- She's like... No, she's like this. Like, it's, it's out of control. Highly recommend if you need a giggle. Do you know that you can get- Go to the giggly Shannons Botox in your asshole? Why would someone need Botox in their asshole, do you think? I think hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids. I didn't know that people, like, actually got hemorrhoids. I thought it was, like, a myth. But people get hemorrhoids so bad they have to get Botox in their asshole? I'm pretty sure. Get the fuck out of here, Colleen. Hold on, let me look this up. Please, you ask chat because my chat- Did you know- is very nice and pure did you know that- And wholesome it's not, it's not true that toll booth workers are, like, the number one, cause of s- like, suic- what am I trying- Toll booth workers? You know how you're supposed to say at least six things to a toll booth worker? What are you talking about? I've never heard of that. You've never heard of that? No. I go through the E-ZPass lane. I don't even talk to a toll booth worker. So the, the myth, apparently it's a myth, that- Yeah, of course it is. It's, Airport control They're the number one- Air traffic control they're the number one group of people that kill themselves the most. No, air traffic control. So you're supposed to say- It's gotta be high up there six things. "Hi, how are you? Have a good day." That's what you're supposed to say to every single one. John goes through them still with cash. Of course he does. That's very John. Can you get, Botox in your asshole for hemorrhoids? Stop auto-correcting. I mean to write hemorrhoids. For hemorrhaging it says. Yes, you can. Botox injections in the anal sphincter are sometimes used to treat conditions that are related to hemorrhoids Oh, wow. Yeah. Oh, no. Severe anal muscle spasms contribute to pain. Wow. I can't even imagine getting a shot in my asshole. No. Shout-out to anyone who has a hemorrhoid where you had to get Botox in your asshole. I'm really sorry that happened to you. I'm sorry that you have hemorrhoids. Like, why do you, why do you get those? I don't know. I don't wanna think about that. I don't know. I hope I never have them. I think constipation brings them on, and I know that pregnancy brings them on. Ugh. Yeah, add it to the list, dude. It's just a no from me. It's up there with your, my sciatica. I truly do not recommend that to my worst enemy. Like, I would not wish sciatica on anyone. Wait, did I tell you the lady... I went and got a massage recently at some creepy place where you walk down in the basement, but it was so cheap, and it was, like, 90 minutes. Honestly, sometimes I feel like- It was incredible, but you have to ignore where they take you. Like, you're gonna be like, "This is it." That's fine. I'd, it- Someone- I feel like I would think it was one of those places that you get a happy ending at. Yeah, it kind of is. It's a hole in the wall. No, no, no, it is. Did you know that those really exist? They're, like, everywhere around us. Yeah, of course they exist. There's a few in Wakefield. Yeah. I've been learning things lately. Okay. But- Anywho. Anyway, I got one of those done, and she, she really pressed on, pressed on the sciats. Oh, did it help? She really... Oh my God, it was amazing. Okay, girl. Just massaged them. Well, you guys, it's our four-year anniversary. Right. Right. But- That's what we're doing here that's what we were getting at. Okay. So what we decided, and this is a, a Colleen idea, is that I would go through, and I would give you the updates on the cases that have been updated. Mm-hmm. And then Colleen would essentially do superlatives. Yeah, the sippies. The sippies? I decided we're gonna call them the sippies. Oh, I love that so much. It's so cute. Hey, thanks. You know me, when I get my brain going. Okay. So there's not a ton of cases that need updating, but I'm gonna do it anyway. So first of all, we did the royal family a long time ago. Yes, we did. Queen Elizabeth died. And then King Charles became king And then King Charles and Princess Catherine publicly announced they had cancer. Jesus. Not s- it's not, you know, like, not together. Damn. But they both did. We have cancer. Do you remember, we legitimately were making fun of Cat, 'cause we, everyone was like, "She's getting a BBL. Like, why has no one seen her?" Like, "Where is Catherine?" And she had to, like, come out and be like, "Guys, I have cancer." Yes, I do remember this. We bullied the princess into telling us about her cancer, because we're all insane. Oh. Anyway. We're so fucked up. Um, they're both doing okay, and they have gradually returned to public life. And the king is still the king, and Harry and Meghan are still here- Yeah in, in the good old US of A. And that's really it on them. Yeah. Meghan's not giving, uh, head on The O.C. or wherever the fuck she was giving head on. The O.C. Not The O.C. Well, no. uh- Suits. No, it wasn't... Well, it, well, yes, to Suits, but also on, not The O.C 90210. Oh, I was like, what are you talking about? She was giving road dome on 90210. Mm. Life comes at you fast, Malaysian Airlines, so not a huge update here, but they are saying they might be able to find it. New technology and updated analysis have given investigators hope that the wreckage could still be located, and private companies have expressed interest in mounting another search. Wow. Yep. All right. Area 51. Wow. In alien encounters. Remember this one? Head down- Yep arms out. Yep. Run like the kid from Weapons. Yep. You know? So since we covered it, UFOs, or now as the government's calling it, UAPs, are a whole ass thing. Like, people are testifying in Congress being like, "Yep." Formal military officials are like, "Oh, yeah." Mm. "Something's happening." That's crazy. Yeah. We have, like, proof that life exists elsewhere, but it's less like, ooh, where are these, like, green little people with big eyes? Yeah. It's not like that anymore. It's just like- It's a bigger picture than that. Yeah. It's like something's out there, and we don't really know what's going on, but it's de- it definitely exists. It's us. I wonder what Heaven's Gate would say about it. I miss them. Oh my God, they'd make it their whole ass personality. 100%. Do you know there's a movie coming out abou- out about it? No. Yes. I'm excited for that. It's gonna be crazy. Okay. OJ Simpson, he died- That's the update. I di- I didn't even know he died. Did but did I know he died? Yeah, he died of prostate cancer, uh, in 2024. Oh. At 76. Well, see ya. Good riddance. Gypsy Rose. We did an episode on Gypsy Rose. She has... She's thriving. She's my girl. So Gypsy and Ryan get divorced. Yep. And then she reunites with Ken. Ken is the person she was pen paling while she was in jail. Right. And then they have a baby, and then she starts a lifetime reality show called Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up. Mm-hmm. And now she's an influencer. Life comes at you fast. The character arc. I am so glad that she's an influencer. That's an example of, like, making the right person famous, and that is, I- You think? Yes. I'm so proud of her. Oh, pop off Gypsy Rose. No, like imagine being in prison for the most, like, iconic years of your life, and you're coming out and all of a sudden experiencing everything, all of what you probably would've gotten in, like, that 10 years or whatever- No, I would've lost plot in, like, 30 days. I'd have an STD immediately. No, like good for her, dude. No, I would be- Foaming at the mouth a feral animal. Yes. Yes. I'd be like, "Give me the Silly Bands. Give me all these trends that are back." I would be lactating in line like that o- that girl at the Black Rose. Dude. That's like up there with, the breastfeeding man. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, one of probably the thing I still get asked about the most. There's a sippy for that. Is there? I think so. Oh, I can't wait. Maybe I'm... I could be lying to you. Tiger Woods. So Tiger, Tiger- Do he get another DUI? He got another DUI. Dude, like just st- And I just don't know why this man won't get a driver- because he's one of the richest people on the planet. House arrest at this point. Not the richest people on the planet, but he's so wealthy. Like, stop driving your car. Like he's fine. Stop driving. You know? So in 2026, I think in March of this year actually, he rolled his fucking car over, his SUV. And so they pull him over, obviously. They're like, "Hello, car accident." They find prescription drugs in his car Mm. He does a breathalyzer and it is zero, but he refuses to do a urine test. Hmm. And now he's in rehab, or at least he was in rehab, and he's, like, taken a step back. And I just want Tiger to succeed, and I just want Tiger to be sober because I think that's when Tiger- I guess can tiger. He's, like, on borrowed time at this point. Like, what are we doing? No, he's not on borrowed time. Yes, he is. Stop. Stop getting in accidents, mans. Stop drinking and driving. Oh, the poor thing. Get your ass in the back of a limousine and drink all you want. I know. You won't have these problems. I just want him to make better choices. Whatever. The Menendez Brothers. Ooh, yeah. So this is actually one, I have deep, deep regret about. I did a really, really- Because? I did, I did a really shitty job. That's- I don't think, I don't think you did. I, I absolutely did. When I covered them, I did a two-part episode. It was right before there was a documentary about them coming out, and also the Ryan Murphy series, Monsters, hadn't aired yet. So I was like, "Oh, this will be, like, the perfect lead up to these two documentaries that are essentially gonna, like, work well with what I do, with the story I tell." Uh, I focused almost solely, 99.999%, on the prosecution's theory that they were just, like, spoiled, wealthy, rich idiots who murdered their parents for money. And since then, I've watched the documentaries. I watched the series. I spent much more time just, like, learning about the evidence surrounding their long-term abuse, which is the whole fucking story, and I just, like, sprinkled it in at the end- Hmm like an ass. And there's been a major legal update since our episode, and Erik and Lyle have been re-sentenced from life without parole to 50 years to life, which now makes them eligible for parole, which is a very big deal. and we can all, you know, I think a lot of people disagree on what justice should look like in this case, but I don't think I gave listeners the full picture of what was going on. And if I was researching that story today, or if it was about women, I would've done it differently. Mm. If I'm just being totally honest, so you know, they've spent decades of their life in prison, and I hope it works out for them. Like, whatever, whatever justice might look like, I hope that that's what happens. Fyre Festival. Oh, we trying to do round two, right? We did an episode. We never did the update. So Billy McFarland somehow convinced people that Fyre Festival 2 was actually happening in Mexico. Mm-hmm. And it, they were, there were announcements, there were ticket sales, proposed locations. There was hype. There were influencers who were going. It was like exa- it was exactly like the original, and everyone was like, "It's happening. It's g- happening." It quickly unraveled because they had no planning or logistics. So Fyre Festival 2 was indefinitely postponed weeks before its scheduled May 30th, 2025 event in Mexico. Organizers cited a dispute with the host city of Playa del Carmen, which denied ever permitting the event. Forcing ticket- Sounds about right refunds. Billy. And organizer Billy McFarland subsequently put the Fyre brand up for sale. Stop trying to make fetch happen. It's not going to happen. It needs to end. Uh, the Titan submersible, not a huge update 'cause I waited for things to come out before I did it. Yeah. But f- more former employees are testifying about safety concerns and issues that were ignored, and basically how the entire tragedy was completely preventable- Mm-hmm if Stockton Rush wasn't a douchebag, but hey, what can you do? Cleopatra. So a couple episodes ago, we were talking randomly about Cleopatra. Oh, because that girl, I found her on TikTok. Her TikTok name is arthistrionic. Mm-hmm. I'll post it. She basically... I just wanted to sum up, 'cause I d- you know, we were talking off the cuff. Mm-hmm. And she basically says, at that time, Cleopatra was the smartest person who, woman who might have ever lived up until that point. Like, they say that when she debated people in different languages, she did them in their own language. Like, she was- Ah absolutely fucking brilliant, and she wasn't this femme fatale. She was an amazing strategist and- She was the smartest guy a baddie. She was wicked fucking smart, and she knew what would happen if the Romans found her body or if Octavian found her body, and her children were, like, dragged through the streets in shackles and murdered. Like, she knew what was gonna happen. And so I wanted to know why they keep pretending like they're gonna find her if they know they're not going to. Yeah. And the girl basically says, "I think Kathleen Martinez thinks she will find her." Like, I don't think that's fake. However, archeology makes absolutely zero money, and the more attention and the more people are talking about your project, the more likely you are to make more money academically. And then the more money you're bringing to a country, the more likely they are to continue to approve your permits. Right. So essentially, the archeologists in the Egyptian government of, you know, tourism, industry of tourism and Ministry of Antiquities all have this working relationship of, like, they want people to know it's safe to travel to Egypt. You can come here. There's an exciting thing happening here, and it drives that in. So it's like- It's tourism. Yeah. It, it's kind of clout for clout's sake, but in a good way- Got it to help an economy I have decided I'm going to Egypt next year. You are? Did I tell you this? No. Yeah, it's a 16-day trip. That's fun. And you go to the pyramids and sail down the Nile- and Jordan and Petra, and I'm gonna go see a pharaoh and an esophagus and... Not an esophagus. Sarcophagus. Sarcophagus. A sarcophagus. I mean, I could be wrong too. I don't know. Oh, sarcophagus. I'm very excited. I haven't booked it yet. It's very expensive, and- I can imagine I'm not in a state to do so yet, but I will sell a kidney if I have to. So lookout world. I think I'm going to fucking Egypt. I can't wait. I do hope they f- I d- this is what I hope for Cleopatra. I actually hope they don't find her, and here's why. I want Kathleen Martinez to be successful and for good things to happen to her. Yeah, but still. I want Cleopatra to be left alone. Mm. Let her rest. Imagine the influencers going to her fucking tomb. Imagine the fucking s- "Come get, come with me to get- Get ready ready. Go see Cleopatra," with a fucking selfie stick in front of her sarcophagus. I, I can't- I would hope she haunts them do it. I can't do it. In the afterlife. Now, if they find something else very, very cool that people can go see, I love that for Egypt and for the tourism. Just leave Cleopatra out of it, okay? Leave Cleo alone. I also have a category here called still unsolved. Maura Murray. Yeah. Long live my girl. Amy Lynn Bradley. Of course. DB Cooper. Mm-hmm. Jimmy Hoffa. Oh, yeah. Amelia Earhart. Medford girl. Roanoke Colony. Powhatan. The Bermuda Triangle. That's like will never be solved. Karlie Gusé. Mm-hmm. Hannah Up. Ugh, stop, that pisses me off. The Kentucky meat shower. Yeah. Someone did that recently. My Favorite Murder. Is that what it was? Yeah. Yeah. Georgia just did it. Okay. I remember seeing it and being like- They were saying it was the vultures. Okay. They were like, "This is the only thing that makes sense." Yeah. But- It has to be isn't that so, I saw it the other day when she started bringing it up, I was cracking up laughing thinking of you doing that. It's a legit thing. So yeah, those are my updates. Okay. Here's my thoughts. I have a graveyard section- where things have gone to die, and then the sippies, which was also manic, so. Oh my God, the wine, the book... What did we do? Shh, we'll get into it. Okay. The biggest rabbit hole that we went down, do you think? Oh. Yeah. The biggest rabbit hole? Like, yeah. Like, either has four... Well, this might be ta- tailored to me because this is rabbit holes for me, but I feel like you would agree. Uh, Kendrick Johnson. Oh my God, I almost added him to my list. Is he the mat? Yep. Kid and the mat? Yep. Oh my God, yes. I just need to know what happened. I just understand. I need to know what happened to him. Obviously Maura Murray, but, like, I talk about her so much, you all know that. I was going with, like, peop- like, disappearing and, like, never seen or heard of again. Mm-hmm. But that is another unsolved one I would love for someone to figure out, because that, that boy was not looking for his fucking shoe. No. God, no. That's fucked. How do someone just get stuck like that? No. We could go on and on about it, but- Yeah we won't. the Kennedy curse. Yes. That was, that was a wild one. And my final one is the Oregon Trail. Oh my g- you just could, the wagon wheels. Like, you just could not understand- Wagon wheel, watoosi uh, but even just, like, why would someone do, bring the whole family? And then I was like, "Oh, at night they would, like, play music," and you were like, "Oh, so it's fun." I'm like, "No, they're- Yeah they have dysentery. Like, it's not, it's the worst. Ah. What episode we would want to redo the most? Books to Movies, which I do think we should redo, by the way. I think we should pick one and redo it. Okay. I, I think it deserves a retake. We can't just keep bitching about it. My, I think my, the first Thanksgiving, 'cause you were like, "Colleen, Colleen, Colleen," every, like, two seconds, and I was like, "Fuck, did I fuck this up?" Oh, no. It's not the first Thanksgiving one. Was that not the first Thanksgiving? You did an episode. I- No, you did the first Thanksgiving one I think this is a deep cut. I think I cut it out. Oh, fuck. So Colleen did an episode. It was the end of, I th- an episode I did, but it was around Thanksgiving. Okay. And this is an example of, like, I think memories you, like, is- Yes. Okay. And your fun... I was like, "Can you bring a fun game for the end?" Oh, right. And you brought, like, sensationalized love letters, like made up. Yeah. I th- you didn't tell me that part. So you started reading this off as, like, the first Thanksgiving was actually, like, one big flirty prom dance, and I was like, "People were getting slo- like, you can't explain the first Thanksgiving like this." As them popping bounties. Everyone's just like, yeah, like hooking up behind a tree. It was like corn on the cob. Yeah, like you, like, made it 50 Shades of Grey- Corn on the cob. Yeah. in, in old colonial times, and I was like, "Colleen, people were getting slaughtered. You b- pe- people's heads were on a spike." Yeah. And then you gave me the context, and I was like, "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh." But if you ever- Kristy listen to that episode and you hear me like, "Oh my God, oh my God"- Yeah. it's because I was unaware. I could've run that one back. Yeah. and I was randomly thinking, not that it was bad, but Dolly Parton, justice. I totally disagree. I loved that episode. Really? Yeah, I loved it. I just feel like I could've done her more justice. I love her. I think, I'm so glad we covered her. Uh, you, I thought you did a great job. That was so nice of you. Thank you. Thank you. the person that we talked about on this podcast, n- it doesn't even need to be episode-wise. It could be, like, us just having conversation. Who would want to get drunk with in real life, dead or alive? You would probably say Martha Stewart. That's correct. But mine actually aren't even from an episode. Mine are just, like, people we've talked about. Just random people? Yeah. Oh, Go- oh my God. Oh, God. Rob? I said Na- I said Nana. Oh. I also put Shannon for you, 'cause obviously. Yeah, Shannon Bieber, yeah. That goes without saying, I think, but- Yeah, all the dead people. Aunt Mimi. I would love to get drunk with Aunt Mimi. Yeah. And okay, so I did do, after that I did people from the episodes, of course. Okay, good. But my first thought was like, Nana. the How Was Wix woman. How was Wix? I imagine one beverage with her. What do you think she would ta- like, I just wanna know her story. I think you would unlock something you wish you could lock back up. Got it. I think, I think it would start out fun until, until it wasn't, you know? Yeah, that's fair. I would immediately regret it. And then my- Oh my God, that Florida trip was so fucking funny. So good. Uh, Mother God. Imagine getting drunk while she's ascending. No. And it's like Robin Williams is speaking through her. Yes. Oh my God. Aunt Julie from 7th Heaven. Oh, my g- Colleen, these are so good Aunt Julie went feral Aunt Julie went feral. It's m- it might be the hardest I've ever laughed on this podcast- is you talking about Aunt Julie. Like, grabbing the children as they walk in the room- and, like, forcing them to go get her a six-pack. I get it. As we get older- I fucking get it, okay? Uh, Helen Keller. Oh, my golly. Obviously Martha Stewart, like we talked about. The people at Alien Stock. Yeah, I would've loved to party with them before- Yeah it reached a fever pitch. Yeah. Like, I still want the vibe and the energy to be high, and then I want to get the fuck- But I don't want it to get weird out of dodge when it gets weird. I don't want- Yes. Yeah. Yeah, when- I don't want to be watching, like- when it doesn't work out and everyone's realizing it was fake, I need to not be there because I will cringe. Okay, so because I did these, like, three weeks ago, I, like, forgot what I wrote and I'm cr- dying. I put Ja Rule. Wait, Colleen, I'm not kidding you, I almost just said Ja Rule. I should have fucking said it. You should've. I should have said it because now you probably don't believe me. I, in my head, 'cause I was thinking about Billy McFarland. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, "Oh my God, how fun would it be-" Billy McFarland would piss me the fuck off to drink with. No, but- I, he would end up dead, I think their music video that they do, like, on an island with Ja Rule- Yes I would have loved that. Mm-hmm. Yeah, fuck yeah. And I put Marilyn Monroe because, obviously. Ugh. But I don't wanna get drunk with her, I just want a glass of wine or a cock- a martini with her. I would like to see her at a party. I think on set she was pretty, you know, on a bunch of stuff and really struggling. I wanna see her, like, when she's really shining. Like, I wanna see her in the middle of a socialite party where everyone's dressed up to the nines and she has all the diamonds on, and she's, like, working the fucking room. Yep, I agree. That's what I want. I agree. Uh, the one that keeps us up at night the most, episode-wise. For you or for me? Either one, just whatever you think. Aunt Diane. Yeah, that was mine. Yeah. what's wrong with Aunt Diane? I would say Mar Murray, for sure. Of course. I can't say that anymore, though. That's all I talk about. I'm like her number one fan. And we've never ta- I've talked about it briefly, but I've never done it because I simply couldn't bring myself to do it, the Delphi murders. I just can't do it. It's just the most fucking upsetting. He was convicted and he's in prison now. The, the details of that case are- Are sickening are the most sickening. So it's like that's one that keeps me up at night, but I'll never cover. Same thing with John Wayne Gacy, and we have a few others. The Wes- The no-nos the no-nos. The no Chris Watts, no, We don't like a fam- Casey Anthony we don't like a family annihilator. No. No, no, no, no, no, no. No. And no, no babies getting hurt. No. No babies. Amy Lynn Bradley, of course. Ugh. My God. What a fucking shame. I actually put OJ on there too, just 'cause like it's fucked up. Yeah, OJ's, it's pretty dark. That shit is dark. the most cringe. So if you read, listened to any back, like when would you cringe the most? I don't know because I think we- Like full body re- I think I would re- I think I have more cringes than you do. I feel like you're like, "Oh, that was nice, and like wholesome, and like cute of us." And I'm like, "No, that makes me wanna fucking die." So I think what's so hard is like I think I'm annoying and you think you're annoying. Okay. So like when we listen to an episode, what I think you're doing is wicked funny. You're like, "Ugh," and I, I'm the same way. So like sometimes when we have Erin on- Yep there's like an episode with Erin, we're editing it, I was like, "Bridget, shut the fuck... I'm just so excited Erin's there." Mm-hmm. It's the three of us that I, I hear myself being annoying. But in the moment I'm just like, "Bah." Yeah. But that's not an annoying episode, it's Erin's, it's like the be- she does, I would too she does, elizabeth Holmes. Yes. She does Elizabeth Holmes. Christ, yes. Great episode. Yeah, with her weird voice. Yeah, we talk about Twilight. Right. Yeah. Yes, okay. It's all good. Great ep. It's all coming back to me now. You put castor oil in your belly button and Erin told you to stop it. Right, and it did. And it did. And I still have it in the drawer, but I don't use it. Great. Cool. Really proud of you. all I wrote for that was any of the first 10 episodes and any when we were morbidly ob- obese on camera. Yeah, the, the when we were really fat ones are tough, are tough because like we're both well over 200 pounds- and just like sweating from our mustaches. I will say, this is like not to be like, "No, but I've never been above 2," okay? I'm just short. I'm gonna fight for that one. I absolutely have- 'Cause you're tall 'cause I'm tall. Yeah, I'm just short, but I, I, I'll fight for that one. Oh my God, just sweating from every pore- And every minute- imaginable of every day. And the pod room is in a specific place where it's either the coldest room in the house or the warmest one in the house. Yeah. Depending on what season it is. There's no mid. It's either or. And there were sometimes... I mean, I also like, do you remember when I was unemployed? Yes. 'Cause I do. And I was doing episodes in the pod room- Sabbatical Susie with sunglasses- Sabbatical Susie in a robe on. I liked Sabbatical Susie. There were moments of Sabbatical Susie that were really fun. Yeah. And then there were some darker, darker moments. Yeah, we gotta put, we pulled you outta that one. I liked when it was raining and we would open the windows in there. That was my favorite vibe. Yeah, that was really nice. The day you went outside when it was pouring rain is like one of my favorite pictures. 'Cause it's you just standing outside. I love the fucking rain. I know. It's great. I miss it. Haven't had a good downpour in a while, since last time I was here actually. I was gonna say, when we were here you were like, "Oh." I couldn't do it though. I would've had to change my clothes. It would've been a whole thing. Like that's how long I'll stay out there, like I have to change my clothes. My hair'll be like fully rain-shower-ed. I love that for you though. It's so cute. Thanks. I'm so innocent and cute. Definitely. things that we've talked about that are live rent-free in my brain, not like an episode topic, but like something that like we can't stop laughing at or like thinking of. Yeah, yeah. And one of them is obviously the breastfeeding man. Obviously. Groom. The other one I wrote is the ass crack at the wedding. Oh my God. Oh my God. No matter how much you wanna forget about that, I can't. I think it's the funniest fucking thing. Do you know which one I think about randomly a lot? What? Tell me. Is the, the triplets Oh, Three Identical Strangers? Yeah. I think about them a lot. I think about Henry VIII and his seeping ulcers. I listen to that soundtrack all the time. Oh my God, Six. It's the best. Yeah. And we're six it's just so funny too the things that stick with you. So, you know, I do an episode three years ago, and something comes up about the Salem witch trial. Mm-hmm. And I'm like, "Well, did you know?" And I'm like, how is that still in there? Mm-hmm. How did I not learn a single thing in high school- but can recollect something from the Salem witch trials? Yeah, no, the brain- Do you know what I mean? is a scary place, yet interesting. It's a scary ass place. Scary yet interesting. Yeah. And also perfect. I said, answering this for the both of us, one we wish we could just delete is books to movies. We gotta redo it. Okay. We'll- We hate on it so much. We gotta- We can do it back just redo it. Yeah, there's probably been a lot more. Actually, a lot of, like, the Colleen Hoover books have movies now. Oh, we could definitely do Verity when it comes out. Yeah, 100%. Ver- I feel like it's gonna be good. I hope. Let's make- It's Anne Hathaway. Yeah, how could Anne Hathaway- H- hello. The Princess of Genovia. Zah. hall of fame moments. I said Erin on the pod. Always. And when the 99 followed us. The 99s following us last year. Was that last year? Yeah. I think it was. Yes. Uh, highlight of my life. Like, that's a core memory for me. That, I was sur- like, they should've sent us a gift card or something. Colleen, we got a personalized DM- Oh, fine a repost, and a follow. Fine. Touch some grass. Or, like, a coupon for a free s- a, like, skin- A coupon. I love a, I love a coupon. I love a coupon. I love putting in my old h- landline phone number at Walgreens or, uh, CVS and taking all the points for my mom's medication. It literally wipes my entire cart down to zero. It's great. I love it. I love that for you. I love a coupon. I love a reward system. I'm a D'Angelo's gold star member. I do get buy one get one free subs. I strongly believe in being a member everywhere. I love that. Thank you. Thank you for listening. Any time. I would say too, the episode where we interviewed our moms was pretty good. Oh, yeah. Right. And I would say- last but certainly not least, is, like, seeing Claire's face for the first time on the podcast. That's fair. 'Cause we were- We'll always have that in the middle of recording when her face- And Erin just gave birth while we were recording Erin just, just quickly giving birth while we record, and called, and FaceTimed. And so we were- And was like, "Hey, girl. Hey." Oh my God. It was, like, the coolest thing ever. Yes, it was. So that was really nice. Did you have those memories when you were listening? I mean, we've just had so many. That's the thing, it's, like, so hard to pick One, when I've laughed, like truly belly laughed, nearly peed my pants so many times on this podcast. Like, there's a really, really early on episode where you say to me, we're talking about sex and you're like, "Do you ever think, like, while you're having sex that Nana's watching us?" And I scream, "Colleen!" And it's, like, so fucking funny. Like, we're just so stupid. It's, it's a fair fucking question. But it's just so silly. I know. We're so fucking silly. Silly girls. Silly girls. Silly, willie girls. And that's all I had for Sippys. Those were my Sippy Awards this is our graveyard, dead and gone. I did put your dad, just 'cause we make so many- We make so many of, like- Oh my God dad hall of fame moments dad fate moment. Hot dog dads, when we found out our dad- Oh, right had a hot dog stand. Right, right, right, right. Dan's Dogs lives on. Dan- Dan's Dogs. Okay, yeah. Lives on Great. Great start. and then I put- Are all my dead people on there or just some of them? No, just him. It was just 'cause it's the most we make a joke about. That's true. He is very dead. And he would want us to. Yeah, the night you made me a drink and I dropped it completely full and said, "This is the worst thing that's ever happened to me and my dad is dead," is up there. That is true. positive stories. I have two for us today. That's so funny. But may they rest in peace, but also be revived. Yeah. Uh, Read Between the Wines, I have a confession. I actually didn't read People We Meet On Vacation. I read the first, like, three chapters and I got sidetracked, and I thought you would yell at me, so I just, like, read the... I read so many different articles, but I literally didn't have the time, so I was at work and I was, like, basically SparkNote-ing like I was in high school- and I was, didn't want you to know. I understood what happened and I felt like I read it, but I didn't read it, and I just didn't want you to know. Colleen, what the fuck? I d- I didn't read it. I- Read Between the Wines was your idea. I know. But it was your pick, and then I felt bad because I was like, I'm not, it's not not, I thought you were like, "It's 'cause you didn't pick it you didn't read it." But then actually- Yeah, that's exactly why you didn't read it. N- I wa- I watched the movie. I liked it. I liked the concept. I just literally was like, "Fuck, I didn't finish the book." It's a great book, and it's a great movie. I know it is. I started it, I just didn't finish it. Oh, Colleen. But I'm telling you now. One thing about me is if I do tell a lie, the truth will always come out. Truly. At some point. It's just when- At some point, you just, you bide your time. Yeah, yeah. You wait for the random- And then that's how I just am like, "Guys, I have something to tell you," and it's just, you know? I just- Well, my favorite is when you do that about your friends on the podcast. Yes. So you'll be like, "Last weekend, they don't know this yet." And you know one of them's gonna listen in a week and a half later, text you, and be like, "Colleen, what the fuck?" It's one of my favorite things that you do. Yeah, 'cause it's like harmless lying. It's, like, still lying, of course. Yeah, it's silly. But it's not like I'm, it's not like an aggressive lie in the moment. It's like a little white lie that makes no fucking sense. Yeah, yeah. And it's just, like, why? It's like, they don't know this, but I had an entire hot dog, and then all of the chicken fingers, and then about a second chicken finger, and then shared it with them. And then pretended like I didn't eat the whole thing. Oh, like when I secretly ordered the, uh, baked potato in Nashville and didn't tell anybody. Like- But why? Just, like, you could just tell them. I love that for you. The stupid Kendrick shuffle. May that live in the grave. Six feet under I had so much fun. Six feet under. I had so much fun while it lasted, but I did abuse the power. Uh, yeah. I- When you did it at McGonigle's, I got the, "Can I sit, Bridget?" This must retire. Yeah. It was, like, the sixth time where I thought- I'm overdoing this. This was funny, like, maybe, definitely the first time, kind of the second, and then never again, and I'm on number six. So- we gotta put the drinks down and we gotta go home. And that's, and that's that on that. And Graveyard videoing this pod. Yeah, the, the videoing, the videoing has died. And the couch has come. The couch has come to suck us up, uh, suck us up. Suck us up. Suffering suck attack. Suck us all up. Ugh, wow. Mustard on the beat, ho. Do you know which one I think about- I'm very proud of that a lot too, that's in the hall of fame, is you do really good Halloween episodes. I do love Halloween. Like, that's just not my jam. I'm just not a spooky, spooky girl. Yeah. But you've done a few that have just, like, really crushed. You also, not around Halloween, did rural Appalachia, and I think about that far too often. Oh, s- I forgot about that. I love rural Appalachia. I, I'm on a side of TikTok where it's like, "Oh, you like my, you like my farmhouse during the day? You should see it at night," and it flicks from the day to the night. The day to the night. Oh, is it so pleasing? Oh, it's so creepy. I legit- No, it's, it's, like, so creepy. Oh, it's cr- Oh. 'Cause it's like, oh, it, it looks- Oh, it's so- wholesome during the day. Yeah. And it's, like, the birds are chirping, and then all of a sudden it's, like, not a light, and it's like hmm. No. I bet it's so cool- No, no the farmhouse. I also just, I love our original mafia episode. Yes, I do love that as well. I love our original cults episode. And I think all time for me, just now as I reflect, and I'm also looking at our list of episodes just because I was trying to see if I missed any. In real time? The one where you talk about Seventh Heaven. I know I already mentioned it. The rewatch of, like, you watching Brink- That show was funny and explaining it to me was so fucking funny. I loved being Judge Judy. Judge Judy was good. Yeah. We've had some really fucking funny ones. We're fucking funny. We're kind of funny. Yeah. So to finish up our four-year episode, I'm gonna bring back, just for today, positive stories of the week. We need some positivity with my negative ass. An 85-year-old movie theater employee retires thanks to strangers. Oh. This is from ABC News. Oh. An 85-year-old woman in Tennessee had worked at the same movie theater for 45 years because she couldn't afford to retire. A customer posted a video of her cheerfully tearing tickets and talking about how much she loved her job. Stop. The video went viral, and strangers across the country donated more than $146,000, giving her financial freedom to retire on her own terms. The best part, she said she never expected anything like it and was overwhelmed by the generosity of complete strangers. There's something about old people mixed with strangers doing good that really gets you. Y- every time. Yep. And the second one is also from ABC. The teen who died for 120 minutes and got a second chance at life. Damn. So an 18-year-old high school basketball player in Louisiana, Tremaine TJ Richmond, collapsed after a game in early 2025. What started as a medical emergency quickly became one of the most extreme- resuscitation cases doctors had seen. He went into cardiac arrest and received about 120 minutes of CPR- That's crazy in the ER. Two hours of CPR. God bless the person that didn't give up. Uh, for fucking real. Do you know how much... They actually have to, I've seen this happen unfortunately, they have to take turns, and they are, like, standing on a stool. Mm-hmm. And then they have to, like, call up when they're getting tired, and the other person comes in. It is fucking crazy. Doctors used advanced life support machines to keep him alive, eventually diagnosing him with a rare genetic heart condition. He was placed on a heart transplant list and spent months in the hospital fighting to survive. In January 2026, after nearly a year of uncertainty, TJ finally received a heart transplant. He's now recovering at home and planning to study physical therapy with dreams of working in sports medicine in the NBA one day. His family is now speaking publicly to raise awareness about organ donation, saying they want their story to give other families hope in their darkest moments. Damn. And those are my two positive stories of the week. Thank you for leaving us on such a positive little petunia. I just, like, can't believe people are still listening to us. I know we say this every year. I- we probably say it more than every year, to be honest. It's crazy. You guys have listened to us for four years, and I haven't for one, so. Colleen, you listen to us while we talk. That's one person. That counts? Yeah, of course it does. Ooh, ooh, ooh. Yeah, I was here in IRL. Yeah, no, that's seriously crazy. thank you so much for listening. We really love you guys. We love our sippers. You guys are the best. Yeah. I agree. And I hope, and I hope everyone's having a hot girl summer. As you should, honestly. What else? What other kinda summer could you have? There is no other summer a person should have. Actually, I don't believe in hot girl summer. I believe in, like, a Tony Soprano summer. Yeah, I saw this the other day, and it's like- Anxious, cold cuts. Yeah. Sweating. Napping in a pool. Yep. Hot dogs. Not making any progress in therapy, repeat. I'm here for it. In that I stand. Hot dog summer. All right everybody, love you, mean it. Love you, mean it. See you next year. Goodbye. Goodbye, y'all. Happy holidays.
