My dad taught me that when it comes to negotiations, he who speaks first loses. It's just how it is, and in this case the scenario it is no different. In this incredible sight, to marvel the negotiation, the big, long table, who should go out of Egypt? Paro has to set the scene, acquiesced, a bit. Fine, I'll listen to my servants that Egypt is pretty much done and I have lost. But who, if do s Hachem go and serve God, do what you gotta do. It's a Shema, locate him, me for me, ha ha him. But who's gotta to go? Has it got to be everybody? Maybe just send out the men, the Avodah Hashem. You don't need everybody. Moshe's response Vayoymer Moshe B'noraynub uvizkeinaynub neylech. We will leave with our teenagers, with our elders, our babas and zetas. They're all coming out. We're going to go with our young boys and with our young girls, with our livestock and with our undomesticated livestock, with all of our pets. That's how we're going, with everybody, the whole mishpucha. Why, why, why, why? For when it comes to avoid Hashem Zakt, masha Rabbeinu Ki Chag Hashem Lanu, it is our holiday, it is our celebration and it needs the whole mishpacha, the whole family.
Speaker 1:In Judaism, pharaoh made that grave error of saying it's hard to be Jewish, but you got to do what you got to do. Dad's got to go to Minyan. But that lesson does that land on your children's ears? Does that make them want to delete TikTok and open up their chumash? Hardly, and who can blame them? But Ki Chag Hashem Lanu. It's a celebration when Judaism is internalized for what it's supposed to be. Tati understands the depth of prayer and Mami understands the depth of what it means to be a Jewish mother. And the children they see that. Tati wants to dance with me on his shoulders during Sholem Aleichem and he is overjoyed shoulders during Sholem Aleichem, and he is overjoyed every Shabbos, every Yontif, every Shalashudis. He doesn't just fall asleep on his Gemara every time his Chavrusa comes over, but Chag Hashem Lanu. That is how you have the whole family involved in Judaism. This is what the great Mashiachach Rav Matis Yohu Solomon Zechon Levracha taught us.
Speaker 1:If you would like to internalize or impart proper Jewish values to your children and guarantee that they will serve Hashem with passion, well then, treat Judaism like a holiday. Ki Chag Hashem with passion. Well then, treat Judaism like a holiday. Ki Chag Hashem Lanu. It is a celebration and you can't fake it. Children know if you're faking it, they sniff it out. But one must truly internalize how great it is to be a part of God's army, why he loves to deny himself certain love, certain life pleasures, because he understands the value of what he has and he truly understands what prayer represents, what mitzvos are there to offer. Mom and dad alike with that celebration of life, and dad alike With that celebration of life. It's, it's fantastic to be Jewish. That's how Everybody stays passionate, happy, growth-seeking Jewish members of this beautiful religion.
