We know it to be true, but you don't really see people acting upon this knowledge, and that is that Chacham Lev Yikach Mitzvot, the wise-hearted person. He purchases mitzvot. That's where he sees his value, and surely you're aware that in all business, in your very salary that you take home at the end of the month, is all based on what value you provide, and the money given to you is the value that you are told that you provide. If you are providing the marketplace with expert procedures you are a skilled surgeon Well, that's a very, very large providing of value. You are paid as such. If you are, oh sake, in business, buying a deal, buying a property that you see value in, that this could really be a house flip or could be an old warehouse that could be flipped into something new you're seeing the value that no one else sees buying it, waiting and then flipping it. It's all based on your ability to discern proper value. And somehow we know to be true that Chacham Leiv Yikach Mitzvot, the wise-hearted sees value in Torah and mitzvos, but yet we don't necessarily see people running to hospitals to visit sick children, flying across the states to go dance at a chuppah of somebody that doesn't have parents Just not practical, it's not normal, it's not part of life. Chacham lev yikach mitzvahs really looks us in the face and says well, what does have value? What do you subscribe to provide value in this world? You subscribe to provide value in this world.
Speaker 1:Moshe Rabbeinu says Rashi is the perfect example of Chacham Lev Gikach Mitzvahs. The whole Jewish nation was osik in the plundering of the booty of Egypt. They were going to take the gold, the silver, the diamonds, the Tatek Philips and the Rolexes of the Egyptians, stuffing them in their pockets and going about their business leaving Egypt. But Moshe Rabbeinu nowhere to be found. Where was he? Was he trying to find the best gold and silver somewhere in the castle of Paro? Most definitely not. He was trying to deal with the bones after the autopsy of Joseph's bones, trying to gather them and stack the bones. Picture Moshe Rabbeinu stacking the bones of Joseph, throwing it in a sack and throwing it over his shoulder and walking out. He's going to do a Leviah. He's bringing Yosef's bones. He's Oseg Bikfu Rosso of the Atzmos Yosef.
Speaker 1:That says Rashi is what it means to be a wise-hearted person who's purchasing mitzvahs. Because the real value, the eternal value, you say, is not in the money, it's not in what everyone else says has value. In fact, I think that's very, very cheap, barely has any value. But I think differently. I think like Moshe. I think with my wise-heartedness, and I'm yikach Mitzvos. I spend my nights running to chasanas, visiting the sick, sending away the mother birds, honoring my father and my mother learning a Blat Gimara. These are things that have immeasurable value, maybe even priceless. So take a page out of Moshe Rabbeinu's playbook Chacham leiv Be wise-hearted and look for the real value so you can score big. And where's the real value? At? Yikach Mitzvos, thank you.
