Brandi: [00:00:00] Oh man, this episode is either going to ruffle some feathers or get some people excited because I am breaking down the three services I think are going to pay big in 2025 and the three services that I truly feel like are on the way. The decline. This is based on research that I've done. This is also based on talking to seven, eight figure, multiple, six figure friends, peers, clients, and asking what people they're looking to hire in 2025.


What people are they getting rid of? What do they think that they don't need anymore? And so we're definitely gonna be talking about ai, but I am gonna break down. The three top services that will pay big in 2025. And then the three services that I think are actually going to decline in 2025. So if you're ready to jump in, let's do the dang thing.[00:01:00]

[00:02:00] So any freelancer or service provider who wants to know what are the three services that will pay big in 2025 and which three are on the decline.


This episode is for you. Now each year I always do the 10 services that I think are going to pay big for that year. And this year I was like really talking to friends, really doing research before doing this. And I think there's going to be three main places where you can make big money in 2025. And I think there's three declining.


I've never done this before, the declining one, but a common trend kept on coming up through my research, through my chats. And I just wanted to share with what I was finding. This is not to ruffle feathers. This is not to say that some services won't continue to make money. I'm doing the three biggest paying services of 2025.


And the three that, based on conversations and research, they are declining. Let's jump on in to this. The [00:03:00] first one, that I think is probably going to be no surprise, but also in my world, it's probably the one that the least amount of people are offering is video content creation and strategy with reels being so popular.


We have YouTube shorts, who knows what's going to happen with Tik TOK, but short form video right now is the number one thing that pretty much every single business needs to have. No matter if you're a brick and mortar, you're an online business, it is the go to form of media. And with like b roll and short commercials and ads, like you need video content creation and strategy.


Or even long form, even long form video is more popular than blog posts or reading or email. Video is how people are consuming content, which means businesses need video content. And it's so funny. Recently I've been on two podcasts [00:04:00] that help with video content creation and showing up and doing this for businesses and both of them are freaking Booming, like booming.


And we have some ad managers and conversions for clients that are offering this as an add on to their services where they will do video content creation. I was talking to a social media manager the other day. This is now part of her packages. So having video content creation and strategy, maybe you're a YouTube free manager, you do YouTube channel management, you actually produce the video, maybe you edit the video.


Video content creation strategy is massive. Even from the fact of we need more user generated content. So for e commerce businesses, that is especially important for local businesses, where we're collecting this user generated content, and then you need to edit it, put it out. Influencers, they need content, video content [00:05:00] creation and strategy.


So If you are someone who loves video content creation strategy, this is your time. Price your packages at a premium and show why people need you, but they already know they need videos. So you don't even have to educate. They know. And so video content is just dominating digital marketing, especially with the short form videos, also educational long form video content is growing and If TikTok gets shut down, TikTok started, now I am not on TikTok, so I'm just going to preface this, but when I was targeting people, that longer form content started coming up.


And so as Instagram moves, mimicking what TikTok was doing, I think that that longer form video will start to come back around. Everything in business is cyclical, which means it comes back around. Long form video was really big when I started, then it started to move [00:06:00] shorter and shorter. Now we've been to like six seconds.


Now people are craving more. So longer form video will be coming back around. You want to be there. And if you can do the video content creation and strategy, either as an add on package to social media YouTube management Facebook ads, Instagram ads, all of that is going to be really, really, really powerful to have that doing.


So this could be someone who is not only doing the production side, but also the strategy, the scripting, the distribution, these all fall into that video content creation strategy. And if this is your strategist era, which I've been talking about, if you can get into a position where you can show how to create video strategy.


for a business. This gets into either the done with you services or the done for you or the consulting. So this is a beautiful thing to be able to lean into. What are the [00:07:00] distributions channels? What does that strategy look like? How can we create this video and then distribute it on multiple channels?


So Video content creation and strategy. I think it's going to be massive in 2025 and I think it's going to pay real big. Okay. My second one that I really think is going to be really, really powerful is funnel strategy and optimization. With AI coming out and everything, I just. Don't think that people, and I'll get into this declining, but funnel strategy and optimization, that's something that AI can't necessarily do.


Now, can it analyze your results and give you suggestions? Yes. When it comes to funnel strategy, And optimization. This is an area where a lot of businesses lack. They are just putting out stuff because they watched a webinar and that's what that person's doing or their funnel hacking. They're going through someone else's funnel, but they don't see behind the scenes, all [00:08:00] the things that are going on.


And then they come and they want to run ads, but their funnels aren't seen. Set up to be successful with ads. So funnel strategy and optimization is going to be huge in 2025 people. It's not as easy to make money on the internet as it was in 2020. And so people are either doing well. Or they're like burning real quick, their business down.


And that's because their funnels aren't set up for their goals. And they're not optimized for their goals. And then they don't know how to read the data that's coming in. With funnel strategy and optimization, see I'm not saying funnel build, anyone can build a funnel. But the strategy and the optimization, not anyone can do.


Someone can hire someone off Fiverr to build a funnel for maybe 200 bucks. So yes, funnel builds are still important. Do I think that they'll pay you as much as funnel strategy and optimization? Absolutely not. This makes a great done with you offer. And a great consulting [00:09:00] offer. My, this is pretty much where I play a lot with the one on one services.


I have a whole package that's a done with you service on how we're going to create an SLO. So a self liquidating offer, and we're going to build it out. I don't do in the building. I build out the strategy and then we're going to optimize it together. I don't do any of the doing, but I give the strategy and optimization.


And for that. I can charge anywhere from 5, 000 to 10, 000 for a four week project. So you see how when we step into our strategist era, we get out of the mundane doing, doing, doing, and we step in to this higher ticket, which requires less of us. So funnel strategy and optimization is going to be huge in 2025 too, especially as people struggle.


With making money online, it's not going to be as easy as it was in 2020. And then we get into What I think is going to be the highest paying and this [00:10:00] is not because I promote conversions for clients But one of the highest paying service across the board up work even posted about it is social media and I'm going to talk about social media advertising, whether that's on Facebook, Instagram, if Tik Tok's still around, Tik Tok, whatever other platforms, but I think we know when we're talking about social media advertising, the main one is Facebook and Instagram, followed by Tik Tok, followed by YouTube, and so when we look at that, Everyone needs to be advertising.


Like it is just how it is. And for our local businesses, traditional marketing is only going to get them so far. They need social media marketing. They also need online course creators. How many times have you heard lately? Oh, my reel is only getting 200 views or whatever. They need views. The quickest way to get more views, the quickest way to get more leads, the quickest way to get more sales is through social media ads.


That's [00:11:00] TikTok. That is going to be your fastest way to grow your business. Now it does cost money to do that, so not everyone's going to want to do that. But if you have a business, you should already know, it takes money to make money. And I will stand behind this 100 percent that if you want to get into running ads for clients, it will be one of the hot, highest paying services for 2025, especially as it gets harder and harder.


To grow organically on social media, and if TikTok ends up closing down, now you're going to have a whole flood of people that have been putting their attention on TikTok. Now coming over to Instagram, now you're competing with all these new creators on there, and course creators are going to be competing.


The way that you can stand out is by running ads. You get a jump in line. It's like having the Fast Pass at Disney. Advertising is your Fast Pass at Disney. It's your lightning lane. And people want [00:12:00] shortcuts. Advertising is a shortcut. And you will always be paid a premium and AI can't do what you can do.


AI cannot replace advertisers. Video content creation cannot be solely outsourced by AI and most people at this point do not know how to make videos using AI. Funnel strategy and optimization cannot be outsourced. through AI. These are three areas that will be paid big in 2025 and do cannot be replaced by AI.


So if I were you and you were thinking of going all in on one service this year, those are one of the three services that I would lean into. Now, like I said, you can always put these on an add on. Maybe you already are a funnel builder. Okay. Have an add on for funnel strategy and optimization. Stop doing that for free.


You're probably doing that further your clients when they're paying you for a funnel build, but really you're giving the strategy and optimization. You should be paid as a strategist. Video [00:13:00] content creation and strategy. You're probably doing it for free. If you're a social media manager, start charging for it.


So when we look into this, also advertisers, you can add on video content creation and strategy, funnel strategy and optimization. These are amazing add ons to what you're already doing. These three play so well together and can go as add ons. Because if you're a funnel strategist and optimization, but you also run ads, guess what?


You just have an add on. These go so well together and they're going to be the three highest paying services of 2025. Now, let's jump into the other one. Here's the three services that I think are going to be on the decline in the next year. So let's talk about some of the other tools that we have. And it was released last year.


And several years and don't come at me. This is based on research I've done. This is based on talking with friends and peers that hire lots of numbers. So when we look at what's declining. [00:14:00] one general VA services like general VA services are on the out and they have been for the last two years. AI tools like ChatGPT, Notion AI, automation platforms like Zapier Are replacing the repetitive task, email management, calendar scheduling, basic research.


Those are being done through AI now. No, people don't need that. And if you still are doing that for people, watch out because there will be someone to replace. Also, many People now are hiring business virtual assistants from a global talent pool that have lower rates. And so if you're just a general VA, why would they pay you 30, 40, 50 an hour?


over someone in the Philippines that they're paying five dollars an hour. Now, I'm not saying that's right, but also I think everyone worldwide should be paid the same rate, but that's just not how it is. I'm just laying down facts. I'm [00:15:00] not giving my opinions. But when you're a general VA and you don't bring any value past like doing repetitive tasks, your job will be replaced.


And it will be replaced for cheaper. ChatGPT. I can't, even now, we use ChatGPT for so many things. I still write all my emails and all that. But even sometimes when we get stuck on Someone writing in and we're not really sure how to respond. We still throw that, we have a help scout has AI built into it.


And sometimes we'll get suggestions on how to respond. So technically that could be outsourced to anyone that could be outsourced to a teenager at this point, because AI is doing so much of it. When it comes to zaps, we have so many zaps that have like, we don't need people in tech. Like tech support or general VA work because zaps, chat, GPT, automations, AI have replaced all of that.


[00:16:00] So when you're being replaced by robots and 5 an hour, global support, like it's going to be really, really hard to still be able to charge 30, 40 an hour as a general VA, you have to specialize in something or you will be replaced. That is just how it is. You will be replaced. Okay. The next one that I do think is on the decline based on a lot of conversations that have been going around is


Podcast production. Ah, I hate to say that because I love my podcast managers. I think y'all are incredible. But at the end of the day, podcast managers are being replaced on the daily. Now, I think there are some degrees. I think you'll have big podcasts that will always need podcast managers. I think most people in the online course space are getting rid of their podcast managers.


And this isn't just, this [00:17:00] isn't just me like being like, oh, this is what we did. This is what The vast majority of the mastermind I'm in with over 45 businesses all at the high six figure seven figure mark are talking about of how they've replaced their podcast manager. And we absolutely loved and adored our podcast manager.


But once I got pregnant with Bodhi and we took a break right before he was born because I took a hiatus from the podcast, we then I was creating podcasts a little sporadic Okay. And what we found is a really great process to get everything done. And then we just need one VA that we pay a hundred dollars per episode to put the show notes on our website and to upload the podcast for us.


Like simple thing, like what I was talking about with VAs, like You, you can't think that you're going to make a ton of money uploading [00:18:00] a blog post or uploading a podcast. And so when we talk about that, and I love her, so I just want to say that I absolutely love our person who does that for our podcast.


And we went and we said, this is how much we're willing to pay. She accepted it. We've referred her to other people. So I love her. I'm not speaking like she doesn't contribute to our team. She 100 percent does. But do I think that she would be able to scale her business to 10, 000 a month doing that?


No. At 100 an episode, that wouldn't be scalable to a certain degree. So it doesn't mean that it won't bring in. Money. Is it gonna be a top paying of 2025? No. Now she's not a podcast producer. We've leveraged AI to do a lot of this from the podcast editing and script. We now use Descrip, which makes podcast editing.


Super quick. I can edit my podcast. I do that myself. If it's a 30 minute podcast, it [00:19:00] may take me 10 minutes to edit it, and then with all the AI that's in there, and then with picking a title with writing the show notes. All of that is really done through AI because I'm giving all the content and then we let AI go and put the show notes together.


I pick the head titles. I like to do that kind of stuff. I'm not going to give that to AI, but like the show notes and stuff, I know half y'all don't ever, ever more than half. I know that the majority of y'all never ever read the show notes. So we're not going to spend a ton of time on that. We want to focus on things in our business.


We have templates for the podcast episode. So that doesn't take much effort to put that in. Then we have other things that like transcribe it. So at the end of the day, we don't need a full podcast production team to put out the podcast. And so podcast producers, I think with a lot of these AI resources like Descript, like Cast [00:20:00] Magic and Chat GPT, they're, they will be on the decline because AI can do so much and then someone will go hire someone for much cheaper to do the small things that AI can do.


Can't or maybe they already have someone on their team that can step in and do that. Janessa took over for a long time. Once I created the process and we have SOPs, she took over. Now she works with our VA who finishes it up and they do that all together. I'm very out of the podcast production after I record and edit the episode.


And so with that being said, It's podcast producers, podcast managers. I do think that that is going to be a heavy delight decline industry, unless you're working with premium clients that have big time podcasts like the gold digger podcast. Any Porterfield's podcast. I'm sure they still have people on their team that produce the podcast, but for the majority of people who don't have podcasts, These mega [00:21:00] podcasts.


I don't think that they're going to be leaning into podcast managers so much in 2025 and going into the future.


And last, but certainly not least, the third one, I'm probably going to get a lot of pushback on this. The third service that I think is going to start to decline and you're not going to charge as much as you used to be able to is for copywriters. And I'm going to preface this with the fact that I think if you are doing messaging mining for clients and even then I really don't like avatar design.


I really don't even know if that's going to be popular. AI is just so good at that kind of things. I think when it comes to what people really want emotionally, like what is the underpinning behind their desires? I don't think AI can pin that. As well as a human can, but I think a lot of people are going to use AI to do a lot of their copy that they used to be able to hire [00:22:00] out for.


I think that. copywriter copywriter now is going to become a commodity. It used to be something that people needed to run their business. And I truly believe at least in 2025 that people are not going to see the value in hiring a copywriter as much as they used to. Now, my prediction is that AI is going to either, everyone's stuff is going to sound the same and then people are craving Like human touch their feelings and maybe in 2026, 2027, copywriting comes to become more valuable because everyone sounds like a robot.


However, I think that AI is probably just going to get smarter and it's going to put out better information and we're not going to see all the like jargon that we know and can recognize. And so with that being said, I do think that to be a copywriter, you're going to have to be able to really, really stand out.


and show your value. So maybe [00:23:00] stepping into more of a strategist role where you're doing copy optimization or you're doing copy strategy or something like that. But I don't think the actual act of being a copywriter is going to pay what it used to. I watched this person who used to be a copywriter.


They're really good at copy and they teach people how to build funnels. I watched her teach an entire Class on how to write a sales page with ChatGPT, and I was blown away. Now, and I even used some of those tips to write our Strategist Society page. Now, I add a lot of my own copy. And I do a lot of editing of what we get out of it, but that's because I believe in frequency.


And I believe that when we write something, when it comes from us, people can feel that frequency when they open up their email, when they open up the page. And [00:24:00] I don't, a computer can't put out frequency. And so when you're just copy and pasting chat GPT, it's not your ideas, it's not your thoughts. People.


so if you haven't heard of chat GPT it is a podcast called chat GPT. It's a great podcast and you can listen to it whenever you want. And if you're like me and you're like, oh, that's super helpful, I'll listen to it. My podcast is called chat GPT it is like a podcast to me because I am able to listen to it and I get to write stuff about my life.


And I want to be able to keep giving it to people. And it's a great podcast. And it could be you're not using it too much. You might be using it. I'll listen to it. I'm eager to hear from you. I hope so. at GPT. We do. And then I put my own twist on it. I really do a lot of prompt engineering with it. And so I think that a lot of people don't necessarily believe in the frequency behind writing as I do.


And the energetic energy that goes through it. And I think a lot of people are going to default to [00:25:00] just using ChatTPT to write their sales pages, their emails, what their social media posts, whatever that looks like. And I don't think that copywriters are going to get paid as much as they did before.


Before once again, being in a room with a lot of million dollar businesses, hearing how much they're using chat GPT for their copy and how they're cutting their cost in their business and getting higher profit margins, especially after so many people. Overhired after 2020. And they ran with no profit margins come 2022, 2023, and 2024.


Those were hard years for a lot of businesses. We prospered, but I think that's because I don't go off and hire a ton of people. I always have watched my profit margins. And so I think that that's the difference. And so people are very, very concerned. with their profit margins now and they're using ai more than ever.


So unfortunately i think that's really going to hinder [00:26:00] copywriters who want to make large amounts of money. I don't think you're going to be able to charge as much as you used to be able to. Now, I do think you can step into a more strategic role and move into the optimization because copy is so important.


Too many business owners do not know. Who their ideal client is their desires their pain points And they can put that into chat gbt and they will get a base level that can produce results But to get those real results you got to talk to someone's soul and I don't think chat gpt can get that deep So if you're someone who can go in and optimize I do believe there's going to be people who pay for that But just to write Landing pages sales pages emails.


I don't think that there's really going to be a market as hot as it was 2025 for copywriters. That is the lowdown on what I think are going to be the hottest services to offer in 2025 and the ones that we're probably going to see a decline in. The hot services is [00:27:00] video, content creation strategy, funnel optimization and strategy, and social media advertising.


And the three that we're probably going to see more of a decline is general VA services, Copywriting services and podcast management. Now, once again, it doesn't mean that if you're offering these, that you can't make money, I just don't think you're going to be able to charge a premium price or maybe even a price that you used to be able to charge.


So that is my hot take on 2025 services that are going to make money and ones that are probably not going to be as hot as they used to be.
