EP: 267 Become the AI-Enhanced Strategist Clients Can’t Replace
===
Brandi: [00:00:00] Welcome. Welcome back to episode four of the Strategic Ad Managers Guide to AI Staying in Demand. This has been such a powerful series and today is all about becoming the AI enhanced strategist. Clients can't replaced. So if you've been thinking like, oh my gosh, Brandi, am I gonna be replaced?
This is the episode for you. And throughout this whole series we've talked about what are the real. Truths about ai, how we can use it, how we can make sure we're not being replaced. And today we're gonna bring it all back together. And in episode one, we looked at how smart ad managers are already using AI in their work.
Episode two of the series, we unpack the real risks, especially when AI gives your clients false confidence and the dark side of ai. And then in episode three, we looked at the future holds for our industry and what skills will actually keep you booked out and irreplaceable and now. We're [00:01:00] closing with exactly how to position yourself as an irreplaceable strategist, not just someone who knows how to use ai, but someone who knows how to lead.
And as we get into a more AI driven world, your leadership abilities are gonna become more and more. Important. You have to know how to lead the conversation, how to lead the strategy, not just how to implement the strategy that someone else has created, and heaven forbid a strategy that AI has created because we know that that is not always the best.
We talked about this in episode two, so if you're just now tuning in, welcome back. My name is. Brandi Mowles, and I am your host. I help online service-based entrepreneurs, especially those who are running ads funnel builders. Our digital marketers start, grow, and scale a successful business without sacrificing their life or growing a soul sucking agency.
And so [00:02:00] we are gonna dive even more into this and how AI has really helped us be able to do those things. Scale to consistent 20, $30,000 months without hiring a team or growing an agency. And today we're really gonna talk about how do you step into the new strategist era with ai? Clients don't want tools.
They want someone who knows how to think. And when you combine your brain with the right tools, you become the expert that they can't replace. At the end of the day, no one is sitting around being like. You know what? I really wanna invest in a new tool. I really wanna have to learn a new system. I really wanna know how to do this and that.
They're not sitting around doing that. They're saying like, oh my gosh, I'm so overwhelmed. I have all this on my plate and I'm also supposed to be running ads, and now there's this AI and I don't even know how to log into Ad Manager. And so at the end of the day, they're not looking for a tool. They're looking for someone to take things off their plate.
They're looking for an [00:03:00] expert to come in, get results, and do the dang thing. So tools don't build trust. Strategists do. AI can write copy, yes, but it doesn't know your client's goals, their audience, their pain points, the offer that makes them different. Just having AI write stuff doesn't get you good.
Results. It gets you a sea of sameness, and that's what we're seeing right now. But when you know the proper prompts, you know how to get all the messaging out of your client to be able to prompt ai, then you get effective copy. The average business owner isn't doing that. AI can spit out an audience idea.
But it doesn't know the funnel. It doesn't know the budget, it doesn't know the brand. It doesn't even know if those audiences are available in meta, because meta is always changing. The detailed targeting, what's available, what's not. AI can give you five headlines, but it can't tell you which one will convert for the offer.
Right [00:04:00] now, it can't tell you which one is the most in alignment with the client's audience. So yes, you can use ai, but if you're just handing over outputs, you're replaceable.
If you're guiding the, the decisions, if you are becoming a prompt master, if you know how to pull out the right information to be able to use AI as a tool to get better outputs. You are not replaceable, you're irreplaceable. So how do we integrate AI without undermining your value? You're not hiding ai.
Here's the thing. No one says you need to pretend like AI's not there or that you're not using it. You're owning it in a strategic way. And here's how we can talk about it with our clients.
Let's say, you know, a client brings up how are we using ai, or I wanna use AI for our ads. What would be the best way to do it? We could respond with something like, we use AI to support research. Rapid testing iterations, getting more headlines and hooks and content out. But all the [00:05:00] strategy, the final decisions, how we're spreading your budget, that is backed by your goals.
Real data and my expertise, not only in your account, but all my clients accounts. We use AI for speeding up drafts, but never delivering a raw output. What chat GPT or AI puts out is not the final product of what we put out in the ads. We don't want you to be in the sea of sameness.
We want your ads to stand out. So nothing we prompt inside of AI goes directly out as is. We use it for brainstorming fresh angles that maybe we didn't think of, creating client facing reports and identifying gaps that we could explore. But we always pair with a custom strategy, real results from past campaigns, full audits of your account, and clear client communication.
So we have to know we are using AI and there's nothing wrong with that, but we're not using AI in the raw [00:06:00] form. We're using it as a jumping off point. So when a potential client asks, are you using ai, this is your moment to lead not hide. And so something you could say is, yes. And here's what this means for you.
It helps me move faster. It helps me test smarter. It helps me dig di deeper into the psychology of your specific clients and your specific customers, but nothing replaces the human lens. You're not getting a templated ads, you're getting a tested strategy. We're never taking exactly what comes out of AI and putting it in, but it's helping me move faster, create more content for you, and get better results based on the reports.
And we're not apologizing for it. It is so helpful for us and it's helpful for our client. We're not getting defensive. This isn't a defensive question. It's nothing to get our undies in a what about? It's something that we can tell our client, we are [00:07:00] using it or the potential client, and here's how we are.
And it's not something to hide. But what we do wanna make sure we do is we position AI as a benefit for working with you. That we are not someone who's not gonna use ai. We wanna move faster so we can get them better results. But we also need to make sure that we're highlighting how you drive the results, not the tools.
And so when it comes to, having this discussion, you need to make sure that you show up as the expert. And AI is just the tool, but so many of us are acting like AI is the expert and downplaying that we are the expert in the tool is ai that helps us move faster. And so it's the same thing as if you're using HoneyBook.
We're not like HoneyBook does all the work. No, you're the one that put together the proposal. You're the one that puts together the invoice. HoneyBook is just helping you facilitate the process in a smooth way. Same thing with ai. It [00:08:00] facilitates and helps, but you are the one who is creating, and I see so many times people in conversions for clients or something, they go and they say, I went to chat GPT and it said this, and I'm like, that's wrong.
This shows you, you cannot rely on that. You have to show up as the expert. You are the strategist. Use your brain and let's. Stop relying on AI to do so much for us. You need to become the strategic partner that they never want to lose. Here's what clients actually want. They want clarity on what to do.
There are so many options for our clients and so many different things that they could be doing, but you are here to guide them in the best ad strategy or best funnel strategy or whatever you're contracted to do, and that clarity is what they want. They just need to know the right. Steps to move forward, and that doesn't come from ai, that comes from you.
They want confidence in the plan to move forward, [00:09:00] someone to make decisions when they can't, and someone who understands their business, not just what works on Facebook or what works on Instagram, or what works on meta. They don't want these general terms. They want someone who understands. Their business.
Like if you're working in the health and wellness field, there's some things that go along with that. We have someone in Strategist Society. They specifically work with, um, companies that are like diabetic based companies. This is a very niche industry with really hard regulations between HIPAA core setup, blocked events, really detailed intake forms, and yet, because they've niched down to it, they know these businesses inside and out, and they're building a massive company, just working in this niche. That's what businesses want, someone who understands their business, and here's how you can become that person.
Be the one who sets the [00:10:00] strategy, not just implements it. Offer insights, not just reports. If you're just sending over a spreadsheet each week, your clients do not want that. They want someone who tells them what these reports mean. Being bold in your recommendations, not just here's what the data said, but having insights behind the data and use AI to deliver faster, better.
But never more generic results.
This is your era to show up. This is how strategists show up. This is your time to step in a more powerful leadership position that pays so much better. If you've been listening to this series, you're not just here to survive ai. You're here to lead through it.
You're here to show up and be the expert. AI isn't your replacement. It's your amplifier if you know how to use it. Be the strategist, be the guide, [00:11:00] be the reason clients. Stop looking for someone else. Be the person that they go to. Be irreplaceable.
If you're ready for this to be your strategist era, the era you start living out, being that strategist, stepping in to a more powerful role and a more highly paid and highly sought after role, and you want help, support, guidance on how to handle these client conversations, how to become the expert in this field, how to uplevel.
Your skills so you become irreplaceable. I'm gonna encourage you to go to the strategist society.com, apply to work with me one-on-one in the mentorship and Mastermind, where this is what we cover, how to step into your strategist era from champagne. Clients that don't want ai, they want you to be coming.
A strategic expert of knowledge where you don't only know traffic, but you know, funnels and [00:12:00] persuasive messaging, and then how we can use AI to streamline our systems. So we're making 200, 250,000 per year. Without working more than 25 hours per week and without growing a soul sucking agency. And so if you're like, yes, Brandy, this is what I want.
This is my year to step into the strategist era. Go on and head to the strategist society.com, apply for a call with me, and then we can see if you're a good fit.
