Not Bad, Better

Wayne Geerling: A conversation with a gentleman, scholar and professor

Luke + Luke Season 1 Episode 8

Episode 8 - Wayne Geerling

This week we were so humbled by the generosity of Dr. Wayne Geerling, a lecturer at Monash University, to join us in this conversation. This kindness embodies Wayne's heart and passion for his students and those around him.

Both of us have been taught by Wayne in our first year at university, and we have seen first-hand what an incredibly engaging and passionate speaker he is.

Wayne wears many hats:

  • He is a prolific author of many academic journal articles (including co-authoring Bazinganomics: Economics of The Big Bang Theory and others)
  • He has taught over 40,000 students across multiple established universities, including Penn State and Monash University
  • He is a Dr. with a PhD in German History
  • He is an absolute legend, a genuine top bloke.

Join us in learning about how "passion, passion, passion" has been the motif and driver throughout Wayne's successful working career, why Cooper's beer may just be better in America and the reason behind Wayne opting for academia over the classroom.

Thank you Wayne, we really appreciate the time you dedicated to us.

Hope you enjoy,
Luke and Luke.
