Elevate the Individual
In today's world it's easy to get caught up in the negativity and stress that surrounds us. We pour so much time and energy into the next generation hoping and praying they make it thru their teenage years. Oftentimes, we lose sight of the mothers standing behind them. Mothers who want nothing more than for their children to succeed, who also have dreams of their own.
Together, we highlight the stories of these incredible mothers as they raise their families and communities while getting after their goals and caring for their own mental health.
Join us as we elevate the individual for the good of the whole.

Question of the Day Series: Day 2 Your Internal Dictionary
Have you ever stopped and just thumbed through a dictionary? Isn't it amazing to see just how many words there are? Each word has a specific meaning and description. Paper dictionaries may be a thing of the past but we each carry around our own internal dictionary that describes who we are. By taking a look at what's inside of our internal dictionary, we can gain a greater awareness of the thoughts and ideas that are contributing to our growth and our failure. Grab a pen and paper and join me for today's Question of the Day.
I'm Lacey Jones with Elevate the Individual. And this is day two of our new Question of the Day series. Today we'll be looking at your internal dictionary. We may not always know where to start when it comes to self improvement. That's where the power of questioning comes in. By asking ourselves the right questions, we can gain clarity and direction on what we truly want and need in our lives. Questions help us identify our values, our priorities, and our goals. They push us to challenge our limiting beliefs and assumptions, and they help us see situations from new and different perspectives. The right questions can also help us make better decisions as we take meaningful actions towards our goals. So today I want to focus our questions on self image. Self image is the personal view or mental picture that we have of ourselves. It's like this internal dictionary that describes our characteristics and how we see them. So this can include such words as intelligent, beautiful, ugly, talented, selfish, lazy, disorganized, kind, empathetic. Each person is going to have a different dictionary with a whole different set of words. And those words are going to kind of be formed by our life experiences. Not just kind of, but they are formed by our life experiences and the narratives that have been fed to us. We don't have to keep them in our dictionary. That's why I want you to look at them and challenge them. So I want you to kind of look at one area of your life where you feel the most critical of yourself. Why do you think this area is where you are the most critical? If you're driving, do a mental thought download on this. But if you're somewhere where you have a piece of paper and a pen, grab that and let's write out some thoughts. Okay? As you consider this area of your life, I want you to think of something that you want to believe about yourself within that area. What will be different about your life when you believe that? How will it help to improve your self image? Now, here's the kicker, because I don't want this to just kind of end on, like, a little negative note, right? I want you to think about one thing that you just totally love about yourself. Write it out. Was it easy to think of that thing, or did it take some time? Are you still thinking? You're like, Lacey, slow down. I'm still thinking here. It's okay to push the pause button and think. All right, friends. I want you to think on that, though. What is one thing you just totally love about yourself? Now, if you need help with any of these exercises as we go throughout this series again, come to our circle, the Confident Mom Circle. It's where we gather together. We discuss the magazine. You get access to all the different magazines, and you just have this beautiful community of women and mothers who are just trying to do their thing. They're trying to improve on their self image as well. And they just want to love their families and their communities and themselves in all good, positive ways. So join me. We do have the two different meeting times that's on the website. Try to make it so people can come in the evenings if they work during the day or come during the day if they work in the evenings. Just kind of depends on your schedule. Or you can come to both. Within that, you can also get some personal coaching. When we do personal coaching within the group, it is so powerful because I can walk you through things. You can hear other people being walked through things. And there's just this community element where you realize, hey, I'm not so alone in all of this. So can't wait for you to join me and then stay tuned for our next question of the day, our.
