00:04:27

Darren, the year is.

00:04:30

I want to say 2015.

00:04:33

And I was in a very random conversation. It is hot.

00:04:38

I was in a very random conversation and and by random it wasn't, you know, wasn't politically driven random. It's just just a conversation.

00:04:49

And the word patriarchy was used in the conversation.

00:04:53

It's probably the first time you heard it.

00:04:56

In that context, yeah.

00:04:57

I'm very familiar with the word and in my mind that word is a.

00:05:03

It brings me to a biblical thinking patriarchy.

00:05:05

Yeah, right. Yeah, it's like. Mm-hmm.

00:05:08

But I kind of shrugged it off. You know, whenever like, that was an interesting choice of word.

00:05:16

You know, Fast forward some months, I hear it again.

00:05:20

Fast forward some more months. Now we're in 2016. I hear it again and now it's in the context of anti men like patriarchy and and I started hearing it more and more and I'm thinking, what the heck are people using this word for now?

00:05:34

UM.

00:05:36

And then I was introduced to the television show.

00:05:40

The Handmaid's tale.

00:05:43

And then I said, oh, because I actually asked a friend, I I pulled out a a friend of ours, a woman. And I said, hey, I've been hearing this word more and more. More. Why are people using the word patriarchy when they're talking about their hatred towards men? Like, obviously, this is coming from somewhere.

00:06:04

And so they pointed me to the handmaid tail. That's what's called a Handmaid's Tale The Handmaid's.

00:06:09

You're The Handmaid's Tale, and in The Handmaid's Tale is all of this propaganda regarding the evil of men.

00:06:19

And there, and I'm sorry. The evil.

00:06:22

It's just, yeah, specifically, Christian white men. White male leadership. Yeah, yeah. Christian white men who want to oppress women for the use of their wounds.

00:06:34

And what what? What you what was what was happening in society is that people were conflating this TV show. And I'm not ridiculing the claim because it's on TV. I think that people tell the truth a lot on television, but this ain't one of them. But they were conflating the narrative of this TV show with.

00:06:52

Anything the news told them to conflate it with.

00:06:56

So if someone is anti abortion, it's the patriarchy.

00:06:57

Some of it.

00:06:59

Right. Yeah, doesn't correlate.

00:07:02

It just really doesn't correlate. I never got that. It's like, well, what do they think? So what they're saying is that because The Handmaid's Tale, sorry if.

00:07:08

You haven't watched the show?

00:07:13

They act as if the women are barren.

00:07:17

And most likely, I think the show was kind of saying that it's the men. Obviously, they act like the women are or the wives are Baron. And so they have to have hands, maids to have these children.

00:07:27

Because they can't have children with their wives.

00:07:29

Is that what it?

00:07:30

Is ish. I mean, yes, that is it. But I think that some of the.

00:07:34

Women are I.

00:07:34

Think fertility rate has just dropped significantly. That's there.

00:07:37

Well, yeah. But I'm saying they assume it's the women.

00:07:39

Yeah, right. Right. Right, right. There's some kissing.

00:07:40

You know, I mean, they just, they automatically see Mr. women, so they go ahead and get because if you think of it, you know, in the show.

00:07:46

The main character didn't get pregnant by the main guy. She got pregnant by another guy. Right? So you know, I think they're saying it was some. Some of the men are in for so much as the women. Right. But what they're saying is that in this.

00:07:54

In front of, yeah.

00:07:59

Utopian world or dystopian world, and this dystopian world.

00:08:02

Yeah, just open.

00:08:06

Men, Christian men are literally kidnapping women.

00:08:10

And forcing them to have children, yeah.

00:08:15

And that is anti abortion.

00:08:19

Like you mean that the people who are pro abortion are like this is.

00:08:22

What we're at, it's like what?

00:08:22

Getting there well, so the way so it it's very subtle. It's not supposed to be 1 to one, it's very subtle. And so when you're watching the show, you're supposed to make the connections when they when, when you see the value they place on child life.

00:08:37

Which is so ironic.

00:08:37

At what's it called?

00:08:39

What's the place called?

00:08:41

Oh my.

00:08:42

Don't want a G, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then, yeah, of course it is.

00:08:43

Gideon, is it Gideon? They they place this Gilead.

00:08:47

Gilead there you go. That makes more sense.

00:08:49

Yeah, that's what I heard in my brain.

00:08:52

And and and so they're so giddy about the birth of the child and and they kind of belabor the point about their joy over the this child to the point where they're willing to kill people over the protection of a child. And then, and that's that can get dark. Right, because.

00:09:07

I'm willing to kill people over the protection of a child, right? I mean, if somebody comes in here to harm my family, then yeah, I 100% sign off on killing them. That's I. I don't have any qualms about that. But that's supposed to be the mark of a Christian patriarch and. And so it's the patriarchy.

00:09:27

And the hegemonic powers that are ultimately going to rule the world and oppress women forever.

00:09:34

And utilize their bodies for whatever they feel.

00:09:36

And utilize their battles. And so the ultimate draw.

00:09:39

That when you have men who want to utilize your body is to make that connection. When men sign into law. What you can't do, quote UN quote with your body. So I say all of that to say there is a a key characteristic about this place, Gilead.

00:10:01

That it's a Christian nation.

00:10:04

Yeah, I mean they they reference scripture sometimes.

00:10:08

It I mean Russian troops all the time. A bunch of Pharisees and that not majority of them aren't Christian. They're not Christian. It's it's not a Christian nation, but it is in the show. It's supposed to be a Christian nation. So this is.

00:10:25

Supposed to be our glimpse at Christian nationalism.

00:10:29

That's supposed to be our glimpse at it and.

00:10:33

Outside of patriarchy being used today, Christian nationalism is the thing.

00:10:39

Yeah, Christian national Christian nationalism is the new buzzword, and I don't want us to do to talk about it as if it's like, oh, everybody's using Christian nationalism. It's nothing we've talked about on this podcast. We don't use Christian nationalism. We use idolatry.

00:10:59

But there are idolaters.

00:11:01

We believe who who hold?

00:11:03

True into their politics and.

00:11:08

In in unhealthy ways.

00:11:10

As professing Christians, I think that there are people who think they're Christian because they're politics.

00:11:18

The and so that's wrong. But then also I think that people take biblical faithful Christianity and Christians and slap Christian nationalists on it.

00:11:31

And and that creates infighting amongst Christians trying to wage war on Christian nationalism. When what what's happening is you just got Christians being faithful.

00:11:42

Does that make?

00:11:42

Sense. Yeah, I mean, but yeah, yeah, I'm.

00:11:45

So stoked what?

00:11:45

Do you want to say we just gotta talk about the definition?

00:11:48

Because I'm just still something with that. Even you know, I guess I understand. I understand what you just said.

00:11:56

Because there's a bad connotation based on what media and television and pop culture has told us. What Christian nationalism is.

00:12:03

Right.

00:12:07

Because I guess I'm a little, you know, perplexed. I mean, this country was started as a Christian nation.

00:12:13

So they would.

00:12:14

Disagree and who?

00:12:15

Would those who are.

00:12:20

Opponents of Christian nationalistic ideology.

00:12:23

Right. And that's what I'm saying, right. So it's like it does not mean just because saying that the country was started as a Christian nation doesn't mean that there wasn't sin, right? It means we're humans that had Christian values and.

00:12:32

But yeah, yeah, but The thing is, the question is, what is the definition of a Christian nation that.

00:12:39

I would say a Christian, I would say that it's it's, it's it's foundation at its foundation you'll see values.

00:12:46

And principals.

00:12:49

That are from Scripture.

00:12:50

Right. So that's not that's not what they and that's that's the subverting aspect of it. I think the I'm I'm right there with you I agree with you versus an Islamic nation or or versus a Hindu or Hindu nation this is not that they are specifically built upon.

00:13:10

Political principles and and.

00:13:13

I mean, even that what you just said.

00:13:16

Would people be like?

00:13:18

I feel like the term Christian nationalism has a whole lot more baggage than.

00:13:24

Islamic nationalism? Yeah, like we know.

00:13:26

What that is whole lot.

00:13:27

More baggage than black nationalism?

00:13:30

Yeah. It's like we know it. Islamic do y'all want that? Yeah. You want an Islamic nation? It's coming. Like, that's wild. But Christian national doesn't it. It denotes a a characteristic of a person it it creates an image.

00:13:45

Of an individual, and that image is exactly what the hand may sell is trying to get us to see. This powerful white male patriarchy system that abuses power.

00:13:56

Controls women.

00:13:58

All for the sake of scripture, and usually these are people who don't know scripture making these claims they don't. They don't know what's good or what you know, they assume everything that it's in Scripture is is prescriptive.

00:14:10

You know what I mean? Yeah. So they don't understand. So I have an example of, I think what people are criticizing and then they have an overcorrection to that criticism, that criticism with their criticism.

00:14:23

I I saw this post come across our timeline on Instagram. We don't follow this person. I don't know who this person is, but apparently Instagram just lets random stuff be on your thing now instead of the people you follow.

00:14:37

And so now this was a clip of Alex Soros, George Soros, son, if you know you.

00:14:44

And the person was, you know.

00:14:48

Leaning into Alex Soros, Alex Soros talking about how you know, they basically need to stop Trump from being president and and it's the same rhetoric, right? That Trump is the the end of the human existence and all that stuff. And so this is what the post says. Your proxy media propagated smear tactics against President.

00:15:06

Trump have ironically resulted in a tenfold increase in his influence today. You fear that one man who can easily lay bare your past dirt and improprieties in full view of the world. No amount of that feigned alluring charm or the reliance on hiding behind your stooges can shroud the prevailing.

00:15:26

Truth the WEF push for socialist.

00:15:33

Get out of here for a socialist Marxist globalist, one world government is poised to collapse anyway, and Trump's return will cement its fate. So who was being pathetic to begin with, Alex.

00:15:48

So that's a lot. That's a mouthful.

00:15:52

And I don't know this person.

00:15:54

I don't know that person. I don't know where their hope lies. But you, but people will read that and they'll say Christian nationalists.

00:16:03

Right. Or maybe, maybe not. Maybe not. A person that's just maybe just a MAGA Republican. But when it's in the context of Christianity, in the church, when it's in the context of the church, and if someone is a Trump supporter, now today they're Christian nationalists. I mean, they, they're all of them. They're Maga, you know, Republican, racist Christian nationalists.

00:16:06

So maybe not there yet. Yeah, right.

00:16:24

I mean you, you.

00:16:24

You get all the things now.

00:16:28

And I and I watched a little info video on it and I thought it was fair. I thought the info video was fair. It was done by a non-Christian who identified as a non religious person but finds religion interesting. But you know they showed like pictures of people and I've seen these slogans. I've seen these flags.

00:16:48

Seeing the bumper stickers that says that Jesus is my savior and Trump is my president.

00:16:57

And I hear Christians talk about that statement as if that making that statement, something's wrong.

00:17:02

Yeah, there's something. Yeah. You gotta dig for.

00:17:04

Something. Yeah. I I think that's just two propositions, right. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because if you wait four years, then you can make the statement about someone else. Now the question is for the Christian.

00:17:07

Right, mentioning Trump and Jesus in the same sentence, some kind of thing.

00:17:18

Because that's not.

00:17:19

A Christian nationalistic statement, I don't believe.

00:17:24

If you believe that Trump is your hope.

00:17:28

Now we've entered into territory that says.

00:17:33

That the one thing this world needs, or at least this country needs, is President Donald Trump. That usurps God's sovereignty, it usurps his power. His role as the one who made the Earth and everything in it, and and people don't realize that that is the hope that they lean on.

00:17:55

So I'm gonna. I'm I'm. I'm going to give a little bit of information more specifically about Christian nationalism, but this episode isn't meant to be.

00:18:04

A deep dive into Christian nationalism. Find find any podcast. They're everywhere. The podcast about what Christian nationalism is. They're everywhere and you'll leave with a bunch of different definitions. You'll you you can find some consistency, but.

00:18:19

That's not what we're doing, yeah.

00:18:22

What I thought about when I started seeing Christians and.

00:18:28

I say that loosely, but I I started seeing Christians.

00:18:33

Talk about Christian nationalism.

00:18:36

And condemn it and be so gung ho about ending it and putting out documentaries about the threat of it to the church and the downfall of the church because of Christian nationalism.

00:18:48

I was.

00:18:49

Brought back to.

00:18:52

Just a few years ago.

00:18:56

Just a few years ago.

00:18:59

And and as soon as my mind went back a few years ago, I started thinking.

00:19:03

About the reality that Christian nationalism in its in its impure idolatrous form.

00:19:12

Is an insufficient response regarding hope in this country. It it is an insufficient if you think that Donald Trump and politics and whatever president is your hope to a fallen and sinful world, that's an insufficient response, right.

00:19:32

What we won't talk about today is to what was it a response?

00:19:38

What are they responding to?

00:19:41

And that's exactly what they do, right? So they they label you something with bad connotations so that you kind of try to run them from the label.

00:19:50

And when you run from the label, you also run from.

00:19:54

Gave you the label. No way you know. So it's like you shut up about it because you don't want to be.

00:19:56

Yeah, they fill the labels.

00:19:59

In that room.

00:20:00

Yeah, weak people don't wanna be in the GroupMe. Whatever group you want to. If I'm saying what's true is what's true. But what's interesting is that politics has shifted so much.

00:20:01

Right. But me, yeah. So listen.

00:20:10

Because the reason that Christian nationalism can even be a derogatory term or some kind of jab or dig at someone.

00:20:18

It's because politics has become.

00:20:21

Moral it's about about moral law. Yeah, and I mean, it's not merely politics. It's not. Hey, should we put 7 Elevens here and here or, you know, I mean, it's, you know, should should schools serve French fries? No. It's about should your daughter.

00:20:36

Become a boy, yeah.

00:20:38

Not even should your daughter become a boy, should a teacher tell a parent when the teacher suggests?

00:20:41

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:20:44

The daughter to become a boy.

00:20:44

Yeah, you know, I mean, like, what's another thing? Abortion is huge. All of that stuff. They're all moral issues. And so when Christians start to speak.

00:20:49

Yeah, portion is huge.

00:20:54

Up ah, Christian nationalist was like, well, what do you mean? And they're being called that by Christian Christians. Yeah, it's not. It's not, you know, I mean it's not MSNBC.

00:21:00

My questions.

00:21:02

So this is what I want to do.

00:21:06

Thoroughly, but briefly, thorough, thoroughly but briefly. I want to look at some other responses that ought not be discredited, although by Christians they should be declared insufficient and toxic.

00:21:20

I want to look at feminism.

00:21:22

Feminism is a response now. All of these things are human responses to our sin in our own heart, every, every single one of them, they respond their human responses to sin in our own heart. We only look at feminism and black nationalism.

00:21:34

Yeah, mainly because.

00:21:38

The church that will denounce Christian nationalism.

00:21:42

Won't touch those things and.

00:21:43

No, no.

00:21:46

They won't touch those things, they they won't talk about it. They won't talk about how it leads people to hell. It's insufficient and it's hope so. So. So I I did just a just a couple of tidbits on, like, feminism and, you know, when in the beginning what was called the proto feminist.

00:22:05

You had in Europe, uh. It just started with a desire for free love and promiscuity. That's what it was. It was a desire to, you know, have sex with whoever you want.

00:22:20

Whenever you wanted to, which isn't new today, but the name Mary Wollstonecraft was identified as the proto feminist. So feminism wasn't quite a thing yet. But you dig into the crates of history and you found out that she's the proto feminist who?

00:22:39

And she's a writer, philosopher and and advocate of what they call women's rights at the time. But it was just promiscuity, but. And it wasn't only that.

00:22:48

So her first thing, her first work was called the Vindication of Rights of Men, which was a treatise on the French Revolution in support of the French Revolution, a vindication of the rights of men. But then she came out with another work after that call, a vindication of the rights of women. And so now that's like kind of are coming out as the proto feminist, really.

00:23:08

And a little background on her. She married a man named William Godwin was an English journalist and political philosopher and novelist. And, you know, he slept around. She slept around, stuff like that. But they slept together and ended up having a child. And they ended up getting married to prevent the illegitimacy of the child.

00:23:24

And that child was Mary Shelley. You know that name?

00:23:27

No Frankenstein, wrote Frankenstein. Ohh Mary Shelley and and so Mary.

00:23:35

Shelley, you know, was raised around Godwin, who was also a part of a group of like secular intellectual lists and things like that. And God was the strong advocate of the free love. And he's like, against the institution of marriage.

00:23:49

And his friend Percy Shelley, who is already married.

00:23:55

Spent a lot of time around him and Mary Mary, so he ended up leaving his wife and taking Mary.

00:24:03

That's Godwin and Mary Wilson Crafts daughter, right? So Percy left. His wife left his pregnant wife, took Mary and ran away with Mary. But he did write back later on to his wife and said, hey, you should come join us and.

00:24:16

She's like, no.

00:24:17

I'm good. So he, Percy and Mary had a child, but that child, unfortunately.

00:24:23

And I had another child and they ended up raising that child and all of this took place before Mary Shelley was 18.

00:24:31

That's wild. She also wrote Frankenstein in that time.

00:24:37

Just you know, so even in this?

00:24:40

In the world. Yeah. Yeah. She was a product of the learning environment. Even with the depraved, you know?

00:24:49

Kind of lifestyle. So. So after that you have first wave feminism, and that's women's sufferance. It's anti temperance. So that's anti discretion really anti discipline and you have anti prohibition. This is in the states. So over in, in, in Europe you've got free love sex for everybody.

00:25:09

Everywhere and over here you've got look, drunkenness. Let's go out and have fun. The end. Prohibition and a lot of stuff. Like so you had Elizabeth Stanton, who was more of the brains of feminism and Susan B Anthony was the face of feminism. Susan wasn't married. Elizabeth was. So Susan had the freedom to be the face of it. And. And so they tackled those things. They tackled women's.

00:25:30

Fringe, temperance, and anti prohibition.

00:25:33

And and the reason he tackled those things is because they wanted to be able to do whatever they wanted to do. They didn't want to be prohibited from that type of freedom of being able to drink, being able to to curse and swear however you want. Dress however you want, like that disciplined nonsense and that modesty nonsense.

00:25:53

Get rid of it. But there was one natural hindrance that existed.

00:25:57

It was called pregnancy.

00:26:01

It was a hindrance on their lives. So in comes Margaret Singer, who seems to try to fix that and you know she just removes the speed bump of childbearing from the equation of ultimate happiness and we move forward and we go post World War 2 with all these different ideologies. These people are pumping our ideologies in the airwaves.

00:26:20

And post World War 2 led to hard times in Europe.

00:26:26

But it led to.

00:26:28

Some flourishing times in the United States, you know, society ended up booming and as a result of booming acidity, you had, like leisure lifestyles began. Suburbia began and and you in a part of this leisure lifestyle for mostly majority majority white, middle upper class women.

00:26:48

In in suburban culture.

00:26:52

There was a lot of leisure time and they ended up reading a lot of toxic information.

00:26:58

I'm saying this very generally. I'm saying this very generally. It was the old idiom because life started becoming very easy. You can talk about this is like the refrigerator and the microwave. But you know, the things like that, like things are becoming easy. Women aren't working with their hands in the same way that they once did before these automatic.

00:27:08

All right, yeah.

00:27:18

Things existed.

00:27:22

Let me let me just say this. So there was an author of A A I believe this is a magazine, the feminine mystique, Betty Friedan. And she said this and this what ended up resonating with all the women who after all the leisure after being given the lifestyle of ease.

00:27:40

They got bored with the ease.

00:27:43

They got him grateful.

00:27:45

And this is what Betty said. She said each suburban wife struggles with it alone as she made beds shop for groceries, mats matched, flipped cover material, ate peanut butter sandwiches with their children, chauffeured Cub Scouts and brownies, laid beside her husband at night. She was afraid to ask even of herself the silent.

00:28:06

Question is this all?

00:28:10

Is this all?

00:28:11

It's discontentment and but there are.

00:28:13

A lot of women who.

00:28:16

Resonated with that and from that.

00:28:19

On top of that, foundation and the prior foundations that were being laid throughout the years, feminism first wave feminism was born.

00:28:27

It's like look, this is unsatisfying. This isn't good.

00:28:32

That old idiom that hard times, which is the world wars, create strong men. Strong men create easy times, easy times create weak men.

00:28:45

And I think people aren't going to like me.

00:28:47

Saying this but.

00:28:48

That aspect of the zeitgeist being women discontentment with their lifestyles and demanding more and wanting more out of life.

00:29:01

That's a result of weak men. Feminism is a response to weak men.

00:29:10

How do I know that the other idiom happy wife, happy life? Yeah, that's dumb.

00:29:17

That's why.

00:29:18

That's boom.

00:29:20

I mean, that's probably one of the most demeaning things you could say about your wife, I think.

00:29:25

But all I care about is you being happy so that you can stay out my way, right. And then my life can be happy, right?

00:29:32

And if your.

00:29:33

If your wife is nothing but someone to be pacified, then you're going to try to pacify her. Or maybe you have the more romantic side of it. Where?

00:29:42

It's like I just want to give her the.

00:29:44

And and I I want to make her happy and I don't want to ever displease her. You don't think very highly of yourself if you think you can do that.

00:29:53

So I think that men tried to answer that challenge and they thought that the the purpose of their role in their marriage was to please their wives.

00:30:03

To the full sufficiently so.

00:30:06

Pleasure from spouse to spouse is a fruit of marriage. It's not the purpose of it. It's a fruit of marriage. It's not the purpose of it. So feminism is the fruit of an unchurched wife by a biblical husband who loves her edifies her.

00:30:22

Yeah, I'm sorry. Feminism is the fruit of an unchurched wife by biblical husband who?

00:30:31

Maybe, I said. Maybe I just wrote this wrong, so ohh, feminism is not the fruit. Feminism is not the fruit of an unchurched wife, biblical husband who loves her and edifies her and shepherds her. While her feminism is the fruit of a husband who aimed to please her.

00:30:48

And please her sufficiently and there is no man who can do that. And I'm not saying that in a sexual context. I'm saying that in a holistic context.

00:30:58

Thinking that your wife needs you to fill the God's eyes hole in her heart, OK?

00:31:05

So that's important. Not, you know, just for giggles, let's listen to this quick clip because this is the fruit of feminism.

00:31:14

That that came as a result. This is Ashley Judd.

00:31:17

I am a nasty woman.

00:31:24

This is not a feminist myth.

00:31:28

This is in equality.

00:31:33

So we are not here to be debunked. We are here to be respected. We are here to be nasty.

00:31:45

So I think it's it. That's disgusting. Yeah, that that's that's anti scripture. That's anti Bible. That's anti proverbs 31. That's anti womanhood. That's anti what God intended you to be. That's anti at last. Flesh of my flesh. Bone of my bones. It's anti all of that. But that's empowerment.

00:31:47

Unless you mean.

00:32:04

I don't know what that means.

00:32:04

So who knows? Who knows? Man who?

00:32:06

Knows it's sharing.

00:32:08

So I want to move on. I'm not going to dwell on that long, but I'll end that segment saying I don't think it's fair if a Christian.

00:32:15

Just be raved to feminism and said feminism, bad feminism bad. You need to know where it came from. You need to know what it was, a response to. It was a response honestly to a bunch of women feeling like they were made for something more than ironing pants and they were.

00:32:35

They were man. And I'm not saying that that's demeaning. That's beautiful. If you serve your husband that way. But if that's the only thing you do, that more thing is honoring the Lord, worshiping him, finding your purpose in him, wearing children and raising them and nourishing them in the knowledge of the Lord, that they would do the same.

00:32:56

That's fulfilling. It's hard marriage is hard, but honoring him and glorifying him is fulfilling. And they weren't shepherded into that. And now we have FEMA.

00:33:07

So we need to know what it is response to.

00:33:10

Because they want to cause the response also need to be talked to. Right. OK. Next one that you won't hear about. It's black nationalism. Yeah.

00:33:21

I mean.

00:33:23

I think before it without me even reading this, when we get to your segment, we'll remember even aspects of what they would call Christian nationalism if it was white people doing it. Black people did it.

00:33:40

Politics was all up in.

00:33:41

The pulpit, I mean in fact.

00:33:44

Yeah, black nationalism is still today. That's what I'm that's exactly what I'm saying is like, I mean, think about all the people who strolled.

00:33:51

Into the big churches and.

00:33:52

It's white people celebrating black nationalism these days. It's it's odd.

00:33:59

Have you seen that Instagram video? The girl, the Black Lives Matter like?

00:34:03

Yeah, bro, I can't do it, man. I can't do it. That's cringy. That's cringy. Yeah, that's cringy. I can't be around.

00:34:05

As such, I can't do it.

00:34:08

It I can't be around it, OK?

00:34:12

So I read this from an article.

00:34:16

This was from the civil rights digital history on black nationalism, it said. In order to understand the premise of the rallying cry, black power, the ideology that gave birth to it, must first be discussed. The whole premise of while they're doing this with Christian nationalism.

00:34:34

Black Nationalism is an ongoing movement which has existed long before the late 1960s and early 1970s. Early sentiments of black nationalism echoed throughout society as early as the 1920s, when Marcus Garvey, founder of the Universal ***** Improvement Association.

00:34:50

UNIA called for black Americans to become completely separate from white society in a back to Africa movement. Shocker that that didn't garner a lot of attention from people, they didn't leave the States and go.

00:35:04

Back there but.

00:35:07

In the less extreme case, black nationalism is an ideology that is implemented through the phrase black power. In other words, black nationalism would be in the mindset of.

00:35:16

Black power but will be. But I'm sorry. In other words, black nationalism would be the mindset and black power would be the practice. I don't know what that statement means in its simplest sense, black nationalists were in favor of racial pride among black people.

00:35:31

Now you can see that booing and growing even more today, even like you said, to the point where a white American you know wants to be. I watched this thing about the.

00:35:41

DNA. Did we watch that?

00:35:42

Together, DNA. Yeah. People were getting their ancestry. Yeah. People getting their ancestry and they're they're white Americans hoping they don't.

00:35:49

The nerves.

00:35:53

European interest people from Spain.

00:35:57

Central America said, well, that's it. I got nothing. Now that's stupid.

00:36:01

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean it's, it's stupid. It's well, it's self hatred. And I think that black nationalistic ideology has deemed it OK for citizens to have self hatred as long as they're white. We we're OK with that, even in our church. Look, the world is going to be the world y'all whenever we talk about this stuff. I'm not that angry about the world welding. I we know that's going to happen, but this happens in the church.

00:36:23

It happens in the church where it is OK to slander your white brothers and sisters, but as soon as something happens to a black person and run out of staples in the stapler, then it's about white depression, OK?

00:36:35

Let me see the the ideology itself was birthed out of Black American shared reality, which has been shaped by oppressive systems created and maintained through slavery. We agree, we agree.

00:36:46

Right.

00:36:48

It it it it it it it?

00:36:49

Could have been more real as it was for them, we agree.

00:36:55

It is a way to unite a people that has been displaced and stripped from the very essence of their true identities. The ideology itself is a way for black people to understand who they are, despite being a part of a society that has used social forces as a way to subordinate them.

00:37:13

I I.

00:37:14

I think that that's real. I think that it it is it is, it is negligent and it is sloppy. If a Christian looks at the the ideologies of say black nationalism or whittle it down to more specific things like Black Panthers and demonizes it and then that's it.

00:37:33

You need to address what it was a response to, right? You have to address what it was a response to. Then you can see what they were hoping in, and then you can tell them why this toxic ideology is insufficient to fulfill your hope. Let me listen to Angela Davis real quick, who is the leader.

00:37:53

In black nationalistic thought, and not only that, who ended up finding out that her ancestors came over on the Mayflower.

00:38:01

And they weren't slaves, no.

00:38:05

Now, but the question is more how do you get there? Do you get there by confrontation? Violence.

00:38:10

Oh, is that the question you were asking?

00:38:11

You know.

00:38:13

See, that's, I mean that's another thing when you talk about a revolution, most people think violence.

00:38:19

Without realizing that the real content of any kind of revolutionary thrust lies in the and and the principles and the goals that you're striving for, not in the way you read.

00:38:32

On the other hand, because of the way this society is organized, because of the violence that exists on the surface, everywhere, you have to expect that there are going to be such explosions. You have to expect things like that as reactions. If you are a black person.

00:38:52

Live in, in, in, in the black community all your life.

00:38:55

And walk out on the street every day seeing white policemen surrounding you. I when I was living in Los Angeles, for instance, long before the situation at in LA ever occurred, I was constantly stopped. No, the the the police didn't know who I who I was. But I was a black woman. I had had a natural and and they.

00:39:15

I suppose thought that I might be a quote militant and when you live under a situation like that constantly and time in and then you ask me.

00:39:27

You know, whether I approve of violence, I mean, that just doesn't make any sense at all. I remember it from from the time I was very small. I remember the sounds of bombs exploding across the street, our house shaking. I remember my father having to have guns at his disposal at all times because.

00:39:47

Of the fact that at any moment someone we we might expect to be attacked, the man who was at that time in complete control of the city government, his name was Bill.

00:39:58

I would often get on the radio and make statements like are moved into a white neighborhood. We better expect some bloodshed tonight, and sure enough, there would be bloodshed.

00:40:12

After the four young girls who were who lived very, who lived one of them, lived next door to me. I was very good friends with the sister of of another. When my my sister was very good friends with all three of them. My mother taught one of them in her class. My mother. In fact, when the bombing occurred, one of the mothers of.

00:40:33

One of the young girls called my mother and said.

00:40:37

Can you take me down to the church to pick up Carol? You know, we heard about the bombing, and I don't have my car. And they went down. And what did they find? They found limbs and heads strewn all over the place. And then after that, in my neighborhood, all the men.

00:40:55

Organize themselves into an armed patrol. They had to take their guns and patrol our community every night because they did not want that to happen again.

00:41:06

And that armed patrol in Oakland, CA became to be known as the Black Panthers.

00:41:15

They started as patrolling unit to stop police brutality, which was real and what is said today.

00:41:25

Is that people covet.

00:41:27

That testimony to them.

00:41:27

What? No, no.

00:41:29

They want that to be their testimony.

00:41:32

Yeah, and it's not.

00:41:33

Now black people function just like, just like the LGBTQ people.

00:41:37

Say that again as it now black. Let nationalism looks just like the LGBTQ movement, right? It's just bullying. Yeah, that right, you can't say that.

00:41:46

That's right.

00:41:46

You said that what you mean by that, you know, I mean, it's just, yeah.

00:41:49

Yeah, everybody wants to be a victim. They want to have a testimony like Angela Davis did we I don't subscribe to anything she believes. Mind you, I'm just using that clip to prove a point that it is negligent to listen to her ideology and think it came from nowhere.

00:42:09

It came from somewhere, which is also odd because most of her writings involve feminism, and if you're a black nationalist, I think you probably should know that feminism is a fruit of European thought.

00:42:21

Just in some ways, atheism, by the way.

00:42:26

But UM.

00:42:27

But, but yeah, and so we I I went through I wanted to go through all of that so that we can also not be negligent when we think about this term being used today called Christian nationalist and the profile of this Christian nationalist obviously as a Republican right, they're Christian.

00:42:47

Actually, or at least professing Christian that some of them aren't.

00:42:53

They don't like leftism. They don't like social justice rhetoric. They do things like vote against abortion.

00:43:06

They're probably against sexual promiscuity and sexual licentiousness in a different way. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. People. Yeah, definitely over Trump.

00:43:10

They probably vote for Trump.

00:43:16

And then they get slapped with the phrase or the term Christian nationalist, and we will be easily as a society once again, society is going to.

00:43:27

Be a society, but.

00:43:28

We will easily as a church.

00:43:32

Be negligent to why that term even exists.

00:43:36

So let's take a walk down memory lane.

00:43:40

Let's take a walk down memory lane.

00:43:43

Because as vivid as Angela Davis's memories of her childhood home in Alabama and the bombing that happened there and being connected to someone's mother who wanted the girls who perished, mother.

00:44:02

Just as vivid as those pictures are.

00:44:05

People have a.

00:44:05

Lot of vivid imagery about the last six years.

00:44:10

The last 10 years.

00:44:13

About what's been brewing and what continues to brew under and on top of the surface, where would we even start?

00:44:20

I mean, you brought up like.

00:44:25

Black nationalism and people coveting that testimony. I guess we started, we started BLM.

00:44:34

Oh, that's.

00:44:35

Great 3.

00:44:36

3 black women who seem to covet that lifestyle.

00:44:39

Yeah, we're also feminists.

00:44:40

And that testimony, who are also feminists, Marxists. They don't like it. Yeah.

00:44:44

You think so?

00:44:48

And so at BLM kind of pivots around the same names, you got Dante Wright, this is a.

00:44:54

A A kid who was shot by a white woman.

00:44:58

Who was supposed to be using?

00:44:59

Her Taser? Yeah.

00:45:00

And Minnesota George Floyd, Minnesota Derek Chauvin. You on the neck, passed away in his custody.

00:45:09

Jacob Blake.

00:45:11

Threatened his baby's mother with a knife. Police shot him when he tried to.

00:45:14

Grab the knife.

00:45:18

Michaela Bryant.

00:45:20

In a fist fight outside her house, remember that video in a fist fight outside her house tries to stab a girl and a police officer makes an amazing shot.

00:45:28

Unfortunate. Amazing shot.

00:45:29

Very, very unfortunate. But he saved that girl's life. She was trying to stuff.

00:45:33

Yeah. And you know who? Who didn't save his own daughter's life was the father carrying on the fight? Who? A couple things that have happened. His daughter would have killed a woman and then gone to jail for the rest of her life.

00:45:38

Yeah, that's right.

00:45:46

So yeah.

00:45:49

And Brianna Taylor? Yeah, that's just a few names.

00:45:51

Right. So let's relive the.

00:45:53

Reaction. Yeah. So the reaction, the BLM riots were a reaction of all those things. I mean, they were riots and also put on here MSNBC. And it's because MSNBC. Sorry, it's because MSNBC.

00:46:06

But the question is how do?

00:46:08

You get.

00:46:11

And CNN were the main culprits for like telling us that they were peaceful protests, literally filming a fire saying this morning it was really peaceful.

00:46:17

Gas lighting.

00:46:21

Now this is it's important. I mean, I know you have some stuff on this, but what you're addressing right now exists within COVID, right? Yeah. I'll get the COVID. But that's that's right. This is in COVID. And so CNN is showing a peaceful protest right there. There's a fire with the with the COVID ticker.

00:46:41

On the top right hand corner of the screen. About deaths. Right. Yeah, and.

00:46:45

So all of.

00:46:46

There's no. Oh, really.

00:46:48

Yeah, they were. They were. There was. It was a couple tickers. There was one for a COVID case.

00:46:53

And then one for gaps.

00:46:53

Oh, you know, I never watched me. Yeah, you're right.

00:46:55

You're right, they just had a ticker. It was.

00:46:56

Yeah. MMM.

00:46:57

A lie, but.

00:46:57

Anyway, all of this is that that BLM section is about.

00:47:04

People asking questions, right? Yeah. So it started off with Dante, right? It's like.

00:47:10

And even even even the the question was like, OK.

00:47:14

And and and. What's great what's what's?

00:47:17

A mile an hour.

00:47:18

Yeah, I.

00:47:19

What's gonna mile an hour?

00:47:20

What's odd is that before anything happens, right, I don't know how think how people think justice happens before there's any justice. People have already killed other people and burned other buildings. The woman went to jail. There was a trial.

00:47:34

She got arrested? Yeah, she lost her job and she is now in prison.

00:47:39

And people were already crying racism before anything even happened to the woman. And it's like, well, guys, the justice system worked. Yeah, she went to prison. Her name is Kim Potter. That's right. She went to prison because she shot Dante Wright. She went, she got charged with manslaughter, negligence. All other police policies that she violated.

00:48:00

So with the.

00:48:01

Since she went to prison, she's still in prison. What about Derek Chauvin? Derek Chauvin. He's in jail. He's in prison. He's in. I don't like I. If I like that one. But so this is. This is what I want people to taste, though.

00:48:07

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you can.

00:48:13

Hold on. Let me get this last point. OK, go ahead. Go ahead. The point I'm making.

00:48:16

Is that?

00:48:18

The people who were probably labeled as Christian nationalists were just merely asking those questions. Yeah. Like, what are you writing for? Yeah, if you question the BLM movement, that's another thing. They're also that can be in the category of Christian nationalism. Yeah. Anti black. Yeah. And so they're just asking questions like, wait, what's the, what's the problem? I don't, I don't.

00:48:32

Whatever you.

00:48:38

I don't know that I would say that in real time that if you were asking those questions, people were labeling you that then.

00:48:45

Not no, I'm saying.

00:48:46

But I would.

00:48:47

Say that even somebody we disagree with right now, if somebody is an idolater, as in Christian nationalists.

00:48:53

Is if they are a Trump is my hope type thing. We need to know that they went through what you just talked with.

00:49:00

Right, right. Yeah.

00:49:01

We need to know that they're watching stuff unfold before them and they're not allowed to ask questions about it, right? Or they'll be called racist.

00:49:11

Yeah, I mean, imagine no. Imagine like in this time while it's happening, you're in church. Cause we were when we say what I.

00:49:16

Mean George Floyd? Yeah.

00:49:20

He went to, he died. He was a.

00:49:22

Drug addict, yeah.

00:49:24

He committed a lot. No, no, no, no, no, no. His lifestyle was trending that way.

00:49:25

Not not less in value, but yeah.

00:49:27

But there's denigrating.

00:49:28

Them. Yeah. Yeah, right, right, right, right.

00:49:30

And we like, that's what happens to people whose lifestyles trend that way. In fact, that's all over the news every day. Why is this one so special? And it's because and and and it don't matter. Doesn't matter. The reason. That's not the point. The point is people are asking questions, they're noticing things are not really adding up.

00:49:36

Yeah, yeah.

00:49:49

And you know Brianna Taylor? Just just lies in the media about the story to stir up more division and and more race hate only the only situations where there's an officer who was White, who killed a black person who appeared to be black. Yeah.

00:50:08

Or appeared to be unarmed, was headline news, and make sure we all knew about it and we had to watch it every day and hear about it. Talk about it in church, and we had to.

00:50:14

That's the thing. That's the thing.

00:50:16

Do little moments of silence in church.

00:50:18

That's the thing I I don't want you to pass by that quickly. That's something that makes my blood boil. Is that?

00:50:26

You had to go to church.

00:50:29

And you would not escape CNN.

00:50:32

Yeah, there was no breath of fresh air.

00:50:33

There is no king on the throne when you go to church, there's more news anchors.

00:50:40

Right.

00:50:41

Filling you with.

00:50:43

Jargon, that is foolishness and it's not true, right because everybody wants to be the next. What civil rights?

00:50:52

Leader, you know, everybody wants to virtue signal. So say hey, I'm not the Christian nationalist. Yeah, that's what it is. I'm not it.

00:50:59

I mean.

00:51:00

It's those other people they wanted to make sure that you knew it, not me. It was the IT was the BLM flag in the yard. Yeah. You know, it was the blinds. Blood on the thing. That's what the.

00:51:08

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:51:11

Yeah, that's what Monique said. That's the Monique your son said. She called it. The lamb's blood to for the Passover. The, the, the social justice Warriors is the Angel of death. And you got to put the BLM sign in your yard so that.

00:51:16

Yeah, man.

00:51:23

He passes over.

00:51:26

And that that was a lot for me. That was a lot of different wars to fight.

00:51:31

But you go you.

00:51:31

Go. Yeah, I mean, on top of MSNBC showing riots and telling us that they're not riots, you got political figures like Maxine Waters. Yeah.

00:51:40

Literally demanding violence. Yeah. Demanding violence against people and for the love of me, I could not find that clip. Yeah, it's gone. I mean, she literally just saying if you see one of those Republicans. Yeah. Push up on them cause the scene and get them out of here. Don't push by it.

00:51:55

Yeah, yeah.

00:51:57

Quick people were murdered, people.

00:51:59

Were killed. Yeah. I was going to get there. I was going to get there. These riots were for real. It wasn't. It wasn't just a bunch of people trashing, you know, vacant buildings. You know, they were. They were killing officers. They were killing other black people. They were destroying businesses, people.

00:52:01

OK.

00:52:05

This structure to profit again.

00:52:17

In New York City, literally our went homeless and had to move from New York because of restaurants. I've been in their family for years, just destroyed. And all of this.

00:52:25

Destroy it.

00:52:29

Was happening.

00:52:31

When Lord Doctor Fauci told us not to leave the house.

00:52:34

Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.

00:52:35

But it was OK because some black people got killed by a police officer. So it's OK to be in the streets without masks.

00:52:40

It's OK to be.

00:52:40

In the.

00:52:42

People are watching that, by the way. They're watching themselves be told to stay home and they're watching people in the streets, murderous violent streets and it be condoned and it.

00:52:44

Real time.

00:52:53

Be by the.

00:52:53

You can done, yeah. Stay home. Stay home.

00:52:54

People who are saying.

00:52:55

In the house.

00:52:57

That'll weigh on you even if you don't even agree with those things that.

00:53:00

Yeah, it's unreal. It'll weigh on you.

00:53:00

Weighs on you.

00:53:03

Umm, yeah, so you have that going on. You know, we can we can unfold Dr. Fauci a bit. I mean, he's he's telling us to wear that masks don't matter. They won't. They won't stop anything. And even if you sneeze, some droplets can come right through the mask. Yeah, that's what he said the week or so later.

00:53:23

A mask is necessary to stop the spread of the virus. Everyone must wear a mask, CDC says. And doctor Fauci echoes it.

00:53:31

You know what's better than one mask? Two. Yeah. Everybody used to wear 2 masks. Now you know it's better than two masks. 33 masks are better. And guess what? The vaccine is coming and it's going to stop this virus now.

00:53:42

It's going to stop it.

00:53:43

Pause real quick.

00:53:44

Before you get.

00:53:44

There, because what we're feeling internally in the citizenry is that.

00:53:50

You shouldn't run around, it's the VA.

00:53:51

It is, yeah.

00:53:54

And if you're somebody who wants to wear two and three masks, great, right. Enjoy. Yeah, but that's not what was happening. No. What was happening is that.

00:54:02

Yes, yes, you, you, you like to be jumping. Ohh you there? I'm.

00:54:03

The enemy was.

00:54:06

I'll. I'm gonna get there. I'm gonna get there. I'm just. I'm.

00:54:07

Alright, you got it. Go ahead.

00:54:10

I know, but The thing is so I'll I'll get there. Since you're there. So what we see is Doctor Fauci.

00:54:17

Telling us and echoing what the CDC says, which changes almost every day, by the way, right. And the people who would be called the Christian nationalists or the any anybody. The Trumpers at this point they're just Trumpers.

00:54:28

These mag of Republicans are looking at this like this is there's the science here. They're watching other scientists, which in the field of science the.

00:54:37

Is just as important as the the large group who agrees people with the dissenting opinion. That's what science is. You have to you can't ignore the dissenting opinion, even if it's 3%. Yeah, you have to look at it. You have to look at.

00:54:50

It but these.

00:54:50

Scientists were hushed and and people.

00:54:51

Yeah, called stupid.

00:54:52

Were like, whoa, these other scientists were saying, well, these nurses were saying.

00:54:56

We're supposedly in, not in the know we're.

00:54:58

All trying to figure this out right? Yeah.

00:55:00

And so everyone's an expert when there's information. So we're being told a bunch of different things. We're getting the run around about COVID.

00:55:13

CNN ticker I'll have that here. CNN ticker is up so it's giving people anxiety. Yeah. And So what does that do? Right gracious.

00:55:18

Fear. Yeah, worry.

00:55:20

Fear, worry, anxiety. And who do we look to, Doctor Fauci? We look to Joe Biden, who? Bill Gates. Bill Gates. Who was telling us that this is a this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. The president.

00:55:32

Said that.

00:55:33

The president. And So what?

00:55:34

God is they're telling us, first of all, that this vaccine is gonna stop this thing. So what does that do that makes everyone all the foot soldiers, all the people in the world saying? Well, you got to get vaccinated, you got to wear your mask. Yeah. You got to be 6 feet away. You have stores spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on signage on the floor. Have you?

00:55:54

And I remember being in a Walmart and having a walk on a square. As if that. Yeah, that protected you this way only. Yeah. Yeah. Walk this way.

00:56:03

Way only and the people can't ask. Does this make sense?

00:56:07

Ohh yeah, you can't.

00:56:08

You people getting thrown out of stores, right? And I went to the Walmart across the street from your house.

00:56:13

And this dude said I walked in and everybody had a mask on their chin. I walked in without a mask on. They said, yo y'all put on a mask. I said none of y'all wearing masks. Yeah. You all leave, bro? Yeah.

00:56:19

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:56:24

I'm ready to fight.

00:56:26

We'll do that.

00:56:26

Like that it'll get you there, experiencing that that's the only glimpse of of slavery I've experienced.

00:56:26

We'll get you there.

00:56:33

Right now, now I'm not going to jump topics. Yes, you are. No, I'm not. I'm just saying that all of that is happening to people.

00:56:44

And you feel like you exist in a vacuum where there is no one who actually thinks like you. There is no one who actually see things your way. And the thing about gaslighting, it's not that you get tired about being gas lit, it's that you end up getting mentally tired down to back and forth from questioning yourselves. Yeah.

00:56:55

And yeah.

00:57:02

It's a fatigue, it's fatigue, it's mental fatigue.

00:57:04

You were the questioning yourself, yes.

00:57:05

And I think.

00:57:05

That's part of.

00:57:06

It because you end up either getting silenced or crazy, and if you go crazy, that's guys crazy. Don't listen to him. And So what you were saying is that you know that isolation that comes from you second guessing yourself. If I'm being honest.

00:57:11

Yeah, yeah.

00:57:12

That's right.

00:57:21

The worry, I mean, I didn't have that anxious worry about COVID, but we didn't know anything. Yeah, so it was bothersome. Got young children like how how bad is this thing? And instead of people being able to investigate how bad this thing is, we're being told about it and we're watching people with questions be dismissed and silenced.

00:57:43

Lose jobs, lose jobs that I have that here forced vaccination ultimatum.

00:57:47

Yeah, you had.

00:57:48

People, and especially in the federal field, that's only they can really enforce it. People working for the federal government and saying, hey, if you don't get take this vaccine.

00:57:57

That people have the seizures by if you don't take this vaccine, then you're gonna lose.

00:58:01

Your job, yeah.

00:58:03

Forcing people literally to either to choose their livelihood or a vaccine that nobody knows anything about. We were promised that this vaccine.

00:58:13

But stop COVID, yeah.

00:58:15

People got the vaccine, those who didn't.

00:58:17

They're the problem. They're the problem. They're the problem.

00:58:21

Come to find.

00:58:21

Out actually need a booster. Yeah, because it just my it just changed.

00:58:26

You know, this vaccine is not alpha no more. Now it's delta somehow, and then it gets all the way to to epsilon when it you know it, it just keeps it just. What's the word?

00:58:36

Yeah, right. Right, right.

00:58:41

Evolve mutations.

00:58:42

What's mutating? It just keeps mutating, and I could even this booster and this booster. And we never said the vaccine would stop it. We just we said it would just listen the symptoms if anybody with COVID didn't have the vaccine, they're more likely to die if they don't get the vaccine. If you get the vaccine, the symptoms will.

00:58:59

Be like a cold.

00:59:00

Flu and we're watching people around us who got vaccines up be more sick than us.

00:59:06

And we're looking around people are and looking around like us going. Why is that?

00:59:11

Why is that you Fast forward? Maybe a year later you see doctors pulling spongy like material in people's veins who have died with the corona vaccine, and people are asking what is that?

00:59:20

Yeah, what is?

00:59:23

What is that and what they like to ignore is those same Trumpers, those same Christian nationalists were mad at Trump for a while because he was also.

00:59:23

With us.

00:59:31

Pushing his vaccines.

00:59:31

Pushing the vaccine, yeah.

00:59:32

Because he was so prideful that I was able to get this vaccine out.

00:59:34

Yeah. Right. Right. It's not about you, baby boy.

00:59:37

And so all of that's happening and people are just not even getting simple questions answered and said they're getting silenced.

00:59:41

None, not one.

00:59:42

Since so for.

00:59:43

The last four years.

00:59:44

Yeah. So many youtubers. Yeah, videos taken down and banned and and fine and.

00:59:48

Yeah, yeah.

00:59:51

Just so they don't talk about this.

00:59:52

And because the people who existed in their bubble, with their head in the sand, yeah, don't see the world as this this way, they didn't see that this was happening. And obviously, if you're a Christian in a church that was being motivated politically if.

01:00:08

You were a.

01:00:08

Part of the winds of the motivation. You didn't feel that that was the case?

01:00:13

But if you were an outlier.

01:00:15

Where you felt ostracized because of the things that you value as a direct result to your allegiance to Christ.

01:00:23

It's a hard time. Yeah. And I'm gonna have to get through the rest of this list so we can talk about another big one at the end without really going too much. An umbrella. I mean, you guys get the point. There was a lot of gas.

01:00:26

That's a hard time.

01:00:36

Finding a lot of on at at the best case scenario, a lot of information that wasn't being.

01:00:47

No one was really delving into this information. We were just told what it was and the information kept changing so people had questions about why is it changing? What do you know today that you didn't know yesterday? Why is it changing just, you know, videos of people, politicians faking, getting vaccines and making it a photo op and?

01:01:05

Even today.

01:01:12

Even today.

01:01:14

You have pro athletes advertising vaccines, and all people are watching this and going what? What is this about? Some people are wondering.

01:01:24

Is this?

01:01:25

Unity cause this president told us he was a great unifier. So is this unity. Let's let me go down this list in Seattle. You had chop or Chaz, you know a bunch of rogue civilians who destroyed the town.

01:01:39

Held it hostage. 4 murders and multiple sexual assaults.

01:01:43

And then at the same time you have immigration, the border being flooded by illegal immigrants to this date, as Joe Biden's been president, there's there's A at the low number, I think is around 8 million undocumented illegal aliens have cross the border.

01:02:00

That's bigger than the state of Maryland, the population of.

01:02:02

Maryland which?

01:02:03

That's a conversation that's unwanted because it makes you xenophobic, right?

01:02:06

Yeah, if you're, if you mention anything about immigrants, then you hate whatever other culture. And what's really strange is that they assume they're all Mexicans. The other from Somalia. They're from Libya. Yeah, they're all over. They're just coming to the Mexican border. So.

01:02:23

And that said, real quick and that said, I'm glad that I followed my doctor's advice. I remained healthy throughout the past four years. I didn't view my doctor's advice as control or enslavement, and neither should you. No, neither should you see, that's a free world when your doctor one recognizes their statement as advice, it's advice.

01:02:41

Right.

01:02:42

Easier. That's always the way it should be. But lest we forget, no one was merely offering advice, not talk about your doctor. We're talking everything else that was happening at that time. No one was offering advice. People had assumptions that you will perform or behave the way they expect you to.

01:03:02

And if you don't, you will be put in this box or this category of person, and you will be ostracized from your community. Some experience that ostracization in a high magnitude and some experienced it in a lower magnitude, but a lot of people experienced it. Go ahead, yeah.

01:03:20

Yes, the the pressures of the economy, everyone knows that the economy, whether you credit Donald Trump or not, the economy is worse than it was four or five years ago. It's not the same. Yeah.

01:03:20

Got the.

01:03:35

Russia and Ukraine, that is black, and that can be impacted in a lot of ways. The Russian collusion that lasted all of Donald Trump's presidency.

01:03:44

And then Ukraine, that goes hand in hand with our economy, our government now giving them loads and loads of money, ridiculous people seeing it and going lie kind of back to race, Colin.

01:03:53

Kaepernick Russian collusion has been explicitly declared not only false, but that it was found that the ones blaming.

01:04:03

And we're doing it. Yeah, we. There's nothing to talk about anymore, you know? And even if you bring it up, you're just viewed as a Trumper. Yeah, not somebody who was listening to this stuff happening. And then we just found out that people were in office who we voted there are lying to us. Yeah, but don't bring.

01:04:19

That up pretty big deal.

01:04:21

NFL Colin Kaepernick, that was another way for them to divide us and to say the one thing that can divide I.

01:04:26

Think we read?

01:04:29

Nelson Mandela's quote about was it Nelson Mandela?

01:04:32

Sports. Yeah, I don't have that.

01:04:34

Quote right now, but basically it's.

01:04:35

This has.

01:04:35

He said he.

01:04:36

Has the power to do what government can't and breaking down barriers.

01:04:39

And they know that and so.

01:04:42

Sports was a huge proponent of racial division and you know, lack of unity. All those things, which is the opposite of any team sport. Real quick. Yeah, Speaking of Christian nationalism, they sing the black national anthem is they're still at my school at Morgan State. And here's the thing.

01:05:03

I I don't think that title makes any sense, but that song has rich history. Yeah, but the thing that frustrates me is why is that allowed? But we can make fun of Christians who are white. And I don't know, have a Christian flag in their church. Yeah. That's interesting. Right. Yeah, that's very interesting. But.

01:05:22

We'll continue, yeah.

01:05:28

Yeah, I mean, I remember that the that the twin not twins, the the 2 girls that sang at Holly and.

01:05:34

Yeah, national anthem lift every voice and sing is what it's called. Black people aren't a nation. Our nation is the United States.

01:05:35

And Chloe Bailey looks like the voice and saying.

01:05:41

At the Super Bowl Super Bowl.

01:05:45

At the Super Bowl.

01:05:46

Is there? Is there no irony? Yeah. They they made it. What more do?

01:05:50

They made it. Good morning anyway.

01:05:51

You want what?

01:05:54

They're talented, they're recognized for their.

01:05:55

Talent, yeah.

01:05:57

Goodness gracious. Yeah. So you got that LGBT stuff in schools. You, the gas lighting is, you know, you got teachers and politicians and MSNBC and CNN and Fox, whoever telling us that every parent should be able, who are you to say that there can't be sex books in the library? That's a decision for every individual parent to make.

01:06:16

Individual and not just sex books where it's like it's sex.

01:06:20

So would involve.

01:06:20

No, no, no. We're not talking about a health book, no.

01:06:20

Adults, we're talking about rape instances of rape.

01:06:23

There's a book this book called.

01:06:26

Boys are not blue.

01:06:29

That I that I saw on MSNBC that and this woman was debating Joy Reid.

01:06:34

And just the gas lighting, she was going on that woman. I mean, that woman was like, are we really having a discussion about whether or not rape, incest is for children? Yeah, that's something they should read.

01:06:45

And you're saying that they can identify with them?

01:06:47

Ohh, she was asking her if she knew anything else about the author or something that you're.

01:06:50

Yeah, yeah. You gotta be an expert. So that's that's garbage. That's garbage. If you're, if you're an adult and you're writing a book to little children.

01:06:50

So knowledgeable about the book.

01:07:00

Explicitly about sexual assault and rape and incest, and it's something wrong with you. And as the woman was just saying that as a society, since when, as a society is something that we allow our children to be educated by, that's just that's what they're doing.

01:07:18

Have the climate agenda. Ohh boy.

01:07:21

All that stuff, you know? Yeah. The world on fire. Right. Let's all kill each other. Bill Gates. So that not each other will kill you so that us, US rich people can survive. Yes.

01:07:27

Hey, what's up? Yeah, the people espousing this belief actually believe it's good for the population to decrease significantly.

01:07:35

Yeah, you have an attack on the Second Amendment so that we can't fight our government money. Ultimately do these things that's been going forever. And then what still continues today, last but not least.

01:07:39

That's been a long list of standing, yeah.

01:07:46

Election fraud January 6.

01:07:49

So let me read this real.

01:07:50

Quick, yeah.

01:07:54

In that little documentary or whatever info thing on Christian nationalism.

01:08:03

That it was said it was connected, that it said that Christian nationalism led to January 6th.

01:08:10

And that's not true.

01:08:12

January 6 is identified as a result of Christian nationalism, but that's not true. January 6th is a more accurately a result of the negligence, the lying and the.

01:08:13

All right.

01:08:32

Disrespect for citizens in the United States.

01:08:35

Yeah, but were you going to address some of the things there or what?

01:08:40

With elections.

01:08:40

Well, yeah, I mean, everybody knows. I mean, so there, there was just a bunch of gas lighting there as well, just like that. That's pretty consistent.

01:08:46

Yeah, there were.

01:08:47

People who were saying that they saw one thing and they're telling them no, you didn't. Yeah. No, you didn't. We saw stuff. Yeah. They're telling us. No, you didn't. They didn't. Everyone echoed the same phrase. Yeah, there was no evidence of voter fraud.

01:09:00

Yeah, yeah. You know what? That's yeah.

01:09:00

What? Like what? That is, where they get that.

01:09:02

From the TV or something fair, it was, uh, something in fair was the.

01:09:06

Election the free and.

01:09:07

Fair election. Yeah. Free and yeah, that's another one. Yeah.

01:09:10

And fair election, man, there was, there was no evidence of any voter fraud. Yeah, which is just isn't true. Right. Because even if if people say the thing, well, there's always voter fraud, well, then there is some. So to say there's no evidence it's is is insane.

01:09:20

Then there is a what?

01:09:23

But even more you have. You have guys like uh.

01:09:28

What's up, boy?

01:09:32

Dinesh, Dinesh, D'souza, you have these guys who are just labeled as Trumpers. So they're discredited because they're crazy and they can't tell the truth. But there's video evidence, at the very least of things we ought to ask questions about, right? I mean, there's a plethora of evidence.

01:09:45

Right.

01:09:46

And that's what people are.

01:09:48

People are being dismissed for having questions.

01:09:52

Like, hey, why are these guards letting people in like capital?

01:09:56

What is the video? Where is all the video footage? Yeah, we just just recently video more video footage was released of people just roaming the Capitol building that have been arrested. Yeah.

01:10:06

And and, some of which are still locked up right now.

01:10:06

And people are still locked up and some people are asking why just now. Yeah. Are they releasing this footage? If they really wanted to protect democracy, right, right. They really wanted to protect what?

01:10:20

What? What? What's the problem? Like what? What are you? Why didn't you release this information sooner? Yeah. On top of that. Just like they do with Brianna Taylor. The story is all twisted to begin with. They too upset all you people that hate Donald Trump. They wanted to make sure you kept hating Donald Trump. They told you that Donald Trump incited violence. There was a bunch of trials. Whatever people feelings were hurt.

01:10:30

Right.

01:10:34

That's exactly right.

01:10:40

But that's, you know, whatever. Yeah, they also told us that six people died that day.

01:10:46

No, didn't happen. Didn't happen. The only person that died was Ashley Babbitt. Yeah. And nobody knows who killed her. Yeah, right. This person has.

01:10:52

Is long gone.

01:10:52

Yeah, long gone.

01:10:54

This capital police officer, nobody even knows who.

01:10:56

He was and then the other guy Ray.

01:11:00

Who was inciting the actual violence? Who's a operative?

01:11:01

Oh, right. Yeah, yeah, the.

01:11:04

Hey, what's this?

01:11:05

But now he's he was ended up on, you know, mainstream media and they're doing little fluff pieces and stuff like that. Why?

01:11:11

Is he in our faces OK.

01:11:12

We need to wrap up. Yeah. I mean, there's so, yeah, if if we're overwhelming you with.

01:11:16

All this information how it felt.

01:11:17

That's meant to be. That's what it felt like. And so this is and and and and. And here's the thing.

01:11:23

I'm going to read just a couple of things from that information thing. The weight, I mean, the Christian nationalism video, it opened up with a clip from Pastor Robert Jeffers and his sermon, and his sermon was called. America is a Christian nation. And this was in 2020. And it was.

01:11:42

Meant to show.

01:11:43

This is what a Christian nationalist talks like. And as his pastor preached, he said that America was founded primarily.

01:11:52

Not exclusively.

01:11:55

But primarily, he says, by Orthodox Christians. And they founded this country upon the foundation of God's eternal truth.

01:12:06

And what the little information video was trying to show us is that this is what Christian nationalists talk like.

01:12:15

I disagree. That's how Christians talk and and I I want to highlight that not to try to defend Christian nationalism, but to wake other Christians who love beating up Christian Biblical Christians for being biblical.

01:12:29

Just wait.

01:12:31

Those who side with the ones who hate Christ.

01:12:35

Just wait. Just wait. Maybe maybe your time hasn't come yet because we're in the political spectrum and and your your politics seem to side with those who hate Christ and maybe your sexual ethic seems to side with those who hate Christ. But if there is any inkling of you, even those those other things are misinformed if there is.

01:12:56

Any inkling of you that clings to?

01:12:57

Christ, just wait.

01:13:01

Until they come for those at on that side.

01:13:06

Because if you love Christ, the world will come after you.

01:13:10

I don't mean to be, you know, sounding alarm. We know that Jesus said this, it will look different from many different Christians and many different ways.

01:13:18

But the world.

01:13:19

Will hate you because it hated him.

01:13:22

And if you profess to cling to Christ, and there is no instance where the world hates you.

01:13:30

Examine yourself. You may not be in Christ. It's more than likely you aren't.

01:13:37

Because the world will hate you, I'm going to end with a passage.

01:13:41

Talani, my wife and I were reading.

01:13:46

Psalm 19.

01:13:48

Psalm 19. Oh, sorry. Psalm 19 is the longest.

01:13:53

Chapter in the entire Bible. And what is it filled with?

01:13:57

A deep in love for God's word. That's what it's filled with.

01:14:03

A deep awe and love for God were a deep desire to live out his word, to learn more about his word, to repent when we go away from his word, to be protected by his word. Verse 49 it says, remember your word to your servant in which you have made me hope.

01:14:21

This is my comfort in my affliction that your promise gives me life. The insolent, utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from your law when I think of your rules from of old, I take comfort, O Lord.

01:14:38

And those who stormed the capital on January 6.

01:14:42

They felt their.

01:14:43

Hope was slipping away, right? That's what that was.

01:14:48

They felt their hope was slipping away. If you are a Christian, you don't look and say look at these stupid Trumpers. You see people who have placed their hope in the wrong object. That's the thing.

01:15:02

So even if you renounce it.

01:15:05

You need to know what produced it.

01:15:08

Or I am vehemently against feminism. I'm vehemently against black nationalism. But you need to know what produces those things, what produce.

01:15:19

Lastly, verse 53 hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked who forsake your law. I think a major gaslight for Christians today is that if you get angry at the evil in the world and you love Christ.

01:15:39

There's something about you that's not being very Christ like, and that's just dumb and it's false. If you love the Lord, his righteousness dwells within you. If you have that righteousness you hate, what is wicked?

01:15:55

You just need to direct that hatred towards the enemy and not your neighbor. And I hope that that hatred towards the enemy and not your neighbor then compels you to want to expose these at these wicked things.

01:16:11

For the sake of your neighbor, don't pay attention to the Christians that are trying to silence you and tell you to be more nice. Take heed and take heart at the fact that the Lord in his word shows that his people get.

01:16:26

Hot with indignation.

01:16:29

Because of the wicked who forsake his law, that's a righteous response.

01:16:37

As the election year continues, we're going to hear more and more about Christian nationalism. I don't care where you land on it. If you are in Christ, you're humanity belongs there. Your unity is in the body of Christ. The world doesn't want to see Christ, and yet they have no choice. The world will be a footstool at some point.

01:16:58

And we, the Saints and citizens, the Holy Ones will judge the angels one day. It's time we start practicing Our Holiness now and righteousness. Now we're unified in Christ. Remain unified in Christ and our deeds and our thoughts. Thank you, guys, for tuning in this episode of Black and Blue, we're guaranteed to hear one of two things. Our humble opinion.

01:17:17

Or the facts.
