Wendy Morrill

Wendy is Research & Education Manager at WYSE, responsible for coordinating research projects undertaken by WYSE Travel Confederation and developing educational content and opportunities for members. Wendy has managed the WYSE research and education portfolios since October 2014. She is a familiar face at industry events and the voice of WYSE Travel Confederation’s Ask Us Anything podcast. Having also worked for WYSE Travel Confederation from 2008 to 2010, she has watched the evolution of who’s who and what’s what in youth travel since the explosion of online travel and social media.

Wendy is interested in youth trends, technology, music and the history of youth travel. She has spent many hours sifting through the archives of WYSE Travel Confederation’s fascinating past. Prior to moving to The Netherlands, Wendy lived, studied, and worked in New York City. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and the New School for Social Research.

David Chapman

As Director General of WYSE Travel Confederation, David has led the Amsterdam-based team in representing and advocating the youth, student and educational travel industry. During his tenure as Director General, WYSE Travel Confederation has expanded upon its legacy of producing essential market research and industry events, and supporting top-notch youth travel organisations worldwide.


Prior to becoming Director General, David was an active board member of STAY WYSE and chairman of WYSE Travel Confederation. He brought a wealth of experience in both the youth travel and hospitality sectors, having served for six years as COO and Deputy Director of a London based non-profit social centre with student accommodation. He also worked at some of the best hotels in Europe including Grosvenor House, The Waldorf and the George V in Paris before becoming General Manager of several of the UK’s top country house hotels.

Prof. Greg Richards

Greg Richards is Professor of Placemaking and Events at Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He also acts as Research Advisor to WYSE Travel Confederation. 


Greg has worked on projects for WYSE, UNWTO, OECD, and numerous national governments, national tourism organisations and municipalities. Greg has conducted research on creative development, cultural tourism, creative tourism, crafts tourism, youth tourism, sustainable tourism, tourism education and labour mobility in the tourism industry. He has also worked extensively on the analysis of cultural and creative development in cities around the world.
