From Worry To Being Loving
We often worry and say, because we love or we care. But we all know that worrying doesn’t really bring the results that we like or prefer. It’s true that worry often consumes our energy and doesn’t necessarily lead to positive outcomes. Shifting from worry to trust and faith is powerful. Trusting in the inherent goodness of others and ourselves can indeed bring peace and clarity.
Hello, everyone. A very good afternoon to you. Greetings of peace, greetings of love, greetings of hope to each and every one. Today's topic is from worry to being loving. And I was thinking, you know, why is it that we worry?
We worry, we say, because we care. We worry because we say we are concerned, we worry because we say we love. But we all know that worrying doesn’t really bring the results that we like or prefer. No, isn't it? We worry, we drain our energy, we get all stressed out, there is anxiety, and chances are we make wrong decisions, creating even more problems or complications.
When we worry, we also open up ourselves to fear because most times the things we worry about are the exact things that we do not want to see happen. So should we worry? And if we're not going to worry, what are we going to do instead? Because we have to change the energy, right? And so this is why I thought that instead of worrying, and especially that we worry about things that are not feeling our control, actually, that's why we end up worrying, because if we were in control, we would have stepped in and done something about it, but because many times it's not in our control.
So we worry.
And as we know, doesn't take us very far in a positive direction. So what to do instead? And this worry could be coming from anything and with anyone, including ourselves. So I thought if we worry because we care and we are concerned and because of love, why not switch it and really and truly have that true love emerge, those feelings of true love, whereas for ourselves, depending upon the situation or for the other, and have that faith that whatever is happening is beneficial, if it were not beneficial, it wouldn't be happening. Now you're going to say, so somebody, you know, hit somebody, somebody accused somebody wrongfully, you would say, what’s the benefit of that war between Israel and Palestine or Ukraine and Russia and all these things, some things are not in our control.
And as we know, worrying is not going to help. So why not do something else? Why not try something else? Everybody's worrying and the war is still going on. Everybody is worrying and crime rate is still going up, so why not try something else?
And that something else is just to switch the consciousness internally and ask myself, what if instead of worrying whether my child would make the right decision in his or her life and not follow bad company, instead of worrying that my relative or my parent or my sibling will get a good job or something like that, why not switch it and start trusting, having that faith and trusting because I know their goodness I'm aware of their inner goodness and I trust and have the faith that they will do what is beneficial for them, not what is beneficial for me. Many times we worry because there is an element of selfishness, you know, it’s hidden there. But if I trust and have the faith that they will do what is best for them, what is beneficial for them, then I can take a deep breath and relax myself. Because you know what? I will also do the same for myself.
Instead of worrying myself crazy, let me pause, go within, align with my own truth, and I trust in myself that I will make the decision that is going to be beneficial for me and everybody is going to be happy about it. Is that possible? Is that practical? You might say she doesn't know what she's talking about, but I challenge you. Give it a try.
So let's give this a try now because we also need a little bit of quiet time to go inward and tap into our own space. Because it is that inner space. When we tap into that, we are able to then observe life and clarity comes. So let's try this.
So let's take a few deep breaths to relax ourselves. Take a deep breath in and relax.
Take another deep breath in. Let the body relax as you breathe out. And as you watch your breath in and out, allow your body to relax and become present. In this moment, as I become more and more present, I turn my thoughts inward and I connect with my inner light.
I enter the room of my mind and I take a seat in this safe, sacred and serene space of my mind. I ask myself, why do I worry?
Has worrying helped me, really helped me?
Or did it drain my energy?
And even though I know makes me tired or generates fear, why do I still worry?
I know I care.
I know I'm very concerned for the benefit of everyone and for the wellbeing of all my family and friends, my loved ones, including myself.
But I do know that worrying creates huge images and mountains in my mind that then feel totally impossible to cross.
But instead, let me allow myself to separate myself from the situation and to be the observer.
And as I observe these situations that cause worry, I realize that whether I worry or not, the situation doesn't last.
It changes.
It changes on its own.
I realized nothing lasts forever.
My worrying didn't really help.
What if I trust instead? What if I have pure feelings of love?
I love myself. I love the other in a real sense, in a true sense. I'm not in a selfish way. Many times I realize worrying is also connected with something selfish.
So let me love them in the real way and trust that the most beneficial outcome will take place.
Let me trust in my own self that I will make the right choices because I love myself in a real way.
But these are the things that are in my control.
Yes, sometimes things can be challenging. COVID, for example, threw us all off in so many ways, but worrying about it didn't help. Instead, trust. It brought us together as one humanity. It opened our hearts to more compassion.
Yes, it was challenging, but it made us realize the value of life. It made us realize the value of myself and each other and brought us closer.
It made the world realize where we've gone wrong, and hopefully we've corrected ourselves.
So as I reflect on these things, I realize what is there to work about.
It too shall pass.
Let me have faith. Let me trust, and let me love in the real sense of the word.
Let me hold true to not just my inner self, but the divine source of love, the divine source of peace, and take strength from that ultimate source, that unlimited source.
Whenever I feel depleted or I feel the worry rising up, let me take a deep breath in and out. And remember these few moments of reflection and shift the energy within.
Take a deep breath in.
Let it out.
When you're ready, you may open your eyes, wishing you all the best and a worry free life. Not just today, not to worry, but May you become free from worry. And let there be faith, trust, and love instead. Thank you very much. We shall meet again.
