Ciera:Today we are going to be talking about a beauty routine for fall. Fall is in the air, even though it doesn't feel like it here. I mean, it's almost 100 degrees here. It does not feel like fall outside, but fall is here and I am going to start embracing the change of fall, even though it is so, so hot outside, it feels like the middle of summer and I have started to get some new clothes that fit me better and I'm working on a new exercise routine and just trying to finish out this last quarter of the year strong and that's like my main focus for this last part of the year is just to focus on my health and my fitness and it will just get me so much further ahead for 2025. So I'm really excited for that. Fall is a perfect time to kind of change things up. We kind of change our lifestyles a little bit. Maybe our routines change a little bit as we get into the holiday season, and it's just a really good time to refresh our beauty routines and our self-care routines. First thing that I think of that, I think is probably like one of the main points of beauty is skincare. We come from the warm summer months and we get to cooler temperatures, drier air, and it's really important that you are taking care of your skin during this change.
Ciera:Some tips that I have are to make sure that you're using a really high quality, rich moisturizer, something that is going to leave your skin feeling soft and is going to lock in that moisture and not leave you feeling dry. I recently have found the best moisturizer. I was using one before and I was just not happy with it. It just was kind of watery. It was really thin, lightweight and it just left my face not feeling nourished and moisturized. It was just. I just did not feel good after I would wear it the first time. I well, really even when I just opened the jar and then and I saw how thick this moisturizer was and then I put it on my face, I instantly fell in love. So I will link that in the show notes below If you want to check that out. It is such a good moisturizer.
Ciera:Find a good moisturizer that you love, that works for you, and then maybe even consider putting in a serum into your skincare routine. Something with hyaluronic acid can be really really great to help keep your skin plump and radiant, have that glow as we get into the colder months. You won't lose that summer glow if you're using a really high quality serum. One serum that I really like is called All Nighter. I will link it in the show notes below. This is a retinol serum. Retinol is really awesome for your skin because it can really help those fine lines and those wrinkles and it kind of plumps up your skin and gives you like a nice glow. This serum also has something called BTX in it. It's advanced BTX. This is a formula that Beauty Society owns and Beauty Society it's patented, and so nobody else can use it except for this. So this is the only serum that you will be able to find this awesome ingredient in, and it's basically going to give you that same effects that, like Botox would give you, but it's just in a face serum, so so much deeper than Botox and a lot less painful, and I have really really loved using this and putting it into my night routine.
Ciera:Another thing to really consider as you're doing your skincare transition is to make sure you're exfoliating. After summer, we're going to have a lot of sun exposure to our skin and there's going to be a lot of dead skin, so exfoliating can help remove that dead skin and rejuvenate your complexion and give a nice surface for the new skin to come and just have this nice, beautiful glow and your makeup will sit on your face so much better if you get rid of all that dead skin. I will link the serum that I really like in the show notes below. But the serum that I like it lifts away the dead surface skin so that it helps with hyperpigmentation and larger pores, and then it will give you a nice, even slate for that new skin to come, and it just makes your skin so much happier. So, yeah, exfoliate, gentle exfoliate, don't do anything crazy. It is your face. Your skin is really delicate on your face, so make sure it's nothing that's too aggressive. And then also make sure you're wearing SPF even though it's fall I know like it can be. Something is super easy to skip and just think, oh, I don't need it. But it is so important to protect your skin even when the temperatures outside are cooler than they are in the summer. It's especially important if you're using any type of serum on your face, so anything that has like retinol in it or glycolic acid. You're going to want to make sure that you are using SPF every day. So do yourself a favor and make sure you don't skip that. If you want a skincare quiz, I'd be happy to send you a skincare quiz. Dm me @ Confidently Beautiful Podcast on Instagram or you can find me on Facebook and I will send you that quiz so you can know what exactly to look for in your skincare regimen.

Ciera:Adjusting your makeup for the fall is another really awesome way to refresh your beauty routine. So switching out your foundation. Summer tans are going to start to fade. Your skin tone may become a little bit lighter, so maybe try going like one shade lighter in foundation as you're making this transition. That way you won't look like you're too orangey or too dark. It will just look nice and natural and match your lighter skin as we get into these cooler months. My personal favorite foundation is a Serum Plus foundation. This is made with sodium hyaluronate and it's a form of hyaluronic acid that helps your skin appear healthier and hydrated and bouncy, and it also is made with an amino acid derivative which is known to help protect skin from the blue light damage and other environmental stressors that can really really do damage to our skin. So I personally love this foundation because it is a lightweight, really really beautiful, flawless foundation, but also has the serum built into it, so it's like your skin care and your foundation all in one, which is really cool. I will link that in the show notes if you want to check that foundation out, maybe even for your makeup.
Ciera:Consider like rich, warm tones, like think of anything that's like earthy tones. It's a really good time of year to lean into those deeper shades for your lips or your eyeshadow, or maybe like a more rich blush shade. It's a really fun time to play with some colors and bring some deep richness into your routine. I personally like the warmer browns. You could also do some burgundies, some plums, anything to like. Compliment that fall vibe. I will be sharing a lot of tutorials as the fall gets further on and I will have fun different colors that you can try and tutorials on how to get certain eyeshadow looks, my personal favorite lipsticks and things that you can try this fall. So make sure that you're following me on social media and I will share all of my tips and tricks and you can see what you like and what you want to try.
Ciera:My third tip is to embrace a brand new fall wardrobe refresh. This doesn't mean you need to go spend like a whole bunch of money, but just look through your stuff, take out what you don't like. Anything that you didn't wear last fall you're probably not going to wear this fall. So just get rid of it, just take it out of your closet, make room for a fresh and new and just have the things in your closet that you really, really love. I think that it's really fun to have this transition in the weather because we can switch to like lighter, breezier clothing, have some cozy layers that's my favorite and just to embrace the change with whatever you are feeling, but don't have any pressure. I think that, like investing in like just a few fall staples like a really, really nice sweater, some, maybe some boots that you can wear like casual or maybe dress up, um, and a really nice quality coat, like those are just even just those three things. Like you will feel so much better with your fall staples.
Ciera:Something that I have just had to accept the importance of is to take the time to end the money to invest in clothes that will actually fit you. Well. That might mean that you're going to have to size up after the summer, and that is okay. You're going to be so much more confident if you're in clothes that will actually fit you, and it's normal for our bodies to change, and feeling uncomfortable in our clothes is not a good way to feel confident. So we want to feel confident in our clothes and so if we're having clothes that fit, we're going to feel so much more confident with ourselves. I'm eight months postpartum. I'm still adjusting to my body postpartum and I also, last fall, was pregnant, and so the clothes that I wore last fall and definitely the clothes I'm wearing this fall like they're totally different than what I wore two falls ago, and so I took the time and invested in myself and I got a different size, and that is definitely okay.
Ciera:So get clothes that you feel comfortable in, get rid of the clothes that you don't like and keep the ones that you do, and don't forget to have confidence in your natural beauty. Yes, it's a new season, we're going to embrace this new fall and we want to have those feelings of like newness and a new time to kind of change, but don't forget to feel confident in just your natural glow. Don't focus on transforming who you are, but instead just focus on how you can enhance your natural elements that you already have. So you can do subtle enhancements like fall. Beauty routines should just be complimentary to your features and not overshadow them. Don't do anything that's not authentic to you. So you could try just using some lighter bronzers.
Ciera:Yes, I did say maybe go embrace those warmer, richer colors, but maybe just do like more of a natural lip tint or a soft blush as you're easing into some and figuring out what feels authentic to you and your style and how you want to present your natural beauty. And I think that it's really important to be confident in the skin that we are in, without being pressured. I recently bought a super trendy pair of jeans, pants and a shirt that is like a pretty trendy style and I tried it on. I got it and I was like, hey, I'm going to be so cute, I'm wearing the top trends. I tried it on and I absolutely hated it and I just let myself be like, nope, this is not me, this does not look like me, I don't like it and I returned it. And so I think to remember to just feel good with what we're wearing and just be confident to like our own natural beauty and our own authentic selves, I think is a really important thing to remember this fall Quick recap is switching up your makeup, hydrate your skin, be confident with your wardrobe choices and embrace that natural beauty that you already have and be authentic to yourself.
