Let’s Talk: A Promising Future For ALL Kids is Rooted in History!
Dr. Virgil celebrates Black History Month in this episode by sharing two awesome little known black history facts in pediatrics with you and your children! She also offers three ways in which you can celebrate Black History with your children. Learning about how everyone in our society contributed and were impacted through history, helps children find value in each other. It helps us as Maya Angelou said, move towards a more promising future, open eyes to new ideas and insight. This trailblazing history positively impacted health disparities in the past. We still have work to do on pediatric healthcare disparities. So let’s chat! Happy Black History Month!
