An award-winning former journalist and public relations & marketing executive, Dr. Hilyard spent 12 years in academia, focused on public health teaching and research. Her work has been funded by NSF, CDC, and NIH and she is published in journals such as Vaccine, the American Journal of Preventive Medicine, Health Affairs, and Health Promotion Practice.
