I'm so glad you're here. Okay, today I want to dive into a topic that's really, really powerful, and if you're on a journey to redefine your life and create more freedom, then you're going to love this.

Speaker 1:

We are going to talk about balancing masculine and feminine energy. Now, before you think, okay, just another woo-woo episode from Katie, stick with me. I'm bringing this concept into real life. I'm going to break it down on how it can impact your life, your decisions and the way you live. So, for me, learning to balance these energies is exactly what has allowed me to run my business, have time with my family and still have room for my own freedom and joy. So it's not about losing your edge or becoming soft or going soft or anything like that. It's about learning when to lean in to each energy so that you can stop feeling burnout or chaotic and instead feel more free, feel more aligned, feel more peace. So I'll be sharing what masculine and feminine energies actually are, how you know if you're leaning into too much of one, like I was, and some practical ways to start balancing them right now.

Speaker 1:

Okay, first things first. Let's start by defining these energies because, honestly, that's half the battle. When I say masculine energy, by the way, I'm not talking about gender whatsoever here, but when I say masculine energy, I'm talking about the part of us that is structured, the part of us that's goal-oriented, the to-do list, decisive, controlling and results-driven. It's that let's get stuff done. Energy You're focused on achieving, organizing, creating a clear path to success. That's masculine energy.

Speaker 1:

When we talk about feminine energy, it is the complete opposite. That's our intuitive side. That's the part of us that's more about flow and creativity, the part that knows how to just be and listen rather than push and plan and go and go. Feminine energy is nurturing, it's's resting, it's finding ease, it's enjoying the journey rather than rushing to the next milestone. All of that is feminine and we all have both masculine and feminine in us. That's the kicker. Regardless of gender, we have both energies.

Speaker 1:

These energies are always present, always, and we naturally lean into one or the other in every situation, obviously in different situations. The trick isn't to be one over the other. The trick is to understand which energy is most helpful in any given moment and how to bring both into balance. And this is where I actually have been experimenting a lot the past. Now eight weeks going on 12 weeks, where I really have noticed a difference and can kind of call myself out when I'm becoming head honcho masculine, when I need to become my feminine and flow. So, for example, to help you kind of fully wrap your head around, this is masculine energy is amazing for setting goals, like you need both, by the way. You need both. So masculine energy great for setting goals, great for creating structure, while feminine energy helps us actually enjoy life, enjoy the process, stay open to new possibilities.

Speaker 1:

So signs that you might be leaning more into one energy over the other could look something like this You're constantly busy, maybe even feeling burnout, and it seems like there's never enough time. That could be one sign. Another sign is you keep a very, very rigid schedule where any shift or unplanned event feels like a total disaster or disruption to your day, or you're focused only on productivity. That's the only thing you're focused on like a to-do list, staying busy, checking things off the list, and you find it really hard to relax or just quote unquote be. If any of that sounds familiar I know that was me not too long ago but if any of that sounds familiar, you're overusing your masculine energy. For me, this overuse of this masculine energy looked like strict routines, obsessively planning every part of my day and feeling completely drained by the end of the day and burnt out like I didn't do enough. I ran out of time. Where did my day go? I wasn't leaving any room to breathe. I wasn't leaving any room to enjoy the process or even my day, or even my glass of water or even my food. I was always focused on the next thing.

Speaker 1:

Now let's switch gears and see if you could be overusing feminine energy. Here are some examples. If you are overusing feminine energy, you might feel unmotivated or even stuck without clear goals or direction. You might avoid any kind of structure, leading to a lot of chaos or an overwhelming number of tasks that feel scattered. You might find it hard to make decisions or stick with a plan because it feels restrictive. Those are examples of too much feminine energy, and too much feminine energy can make us feel a bit lost, and it can also mean we're leaving things unfinished or constantly shifting without seeing the results that we want. And it can also mean we're leaving things unfinished or constantly shifting without seeing the results that we want. So it's all about balance. At the end of the day, you don't want to fully be in a masculine energy all the time grinding away, but at the same time, you also don't want to be completely in feminine energy, where nothing is ever fully anchored down. So let's get to the good stuff now the magic that happens when you start to blend the two and balance both energies.

Speaker 1:

So imagine this. Imagine a life where you're free to flow and follow your intuition, but you also got good structure in place to get things done. There's this like balance that comes in, and it's where you start to live in true alignment. Imagine what that would feel like masculine energy is essential for creating a container for freedom. So you have to have it right. Think about the routines, think about planning. They're there to help us create space in our day and not limit us. When we use this masculine energy to set boundaries around our time, it's actually freeing us up and not chaining us down. This is referring back to the episode I recorded about freedom actually takes discipline. If you haven't listened to that, I will link that in the show notes. It's just like two, three episodes ago. It was super good and I talk a lot about that. But this is what allows us to have that time freedom where we're not always on the clock but can enjoy the space that we've carved out. Now, how feminine energy helps us is it helps us let go of the rigid plans and instead tune into what feels good. When we lean into intuition and flow, time feels like it expands. We're no longer forcing ourselves into a box. Instead, we're allowing inspiration and alignment to guide us.

Speaker 1:

So let's say you start your day. Let's like play around with. So let's say you start your day. Let's like play around with this. Let's say you start your day with a morning routine. You set a structure to get going. That's your masculine energy. But you leave the afternoon open for creative work or just time to follow what feels good. That would be your feminine. Then by the evening you can look back and check off those goals you accomplished. That would be your masculine again. It's about giving yourself both the freedom to follow your flow and structure to ensure you're moving forward. So you kind of like balance it Get your things going, you get to work, you get your day prepped and then you kind of chill in the afternoon and just like flow. Like maybe you eat your food in complete silence, maybe you get outside, maybe you have a spontaneous idea and you follow that idea. You like actually do it instead of shutting it out because it wasn't on your to-do list, instead of writing it off because you quote unquote don't have time. That would be blending the masculine and feminine energies. So let's get into some practical steps that you can start using right now to help you bring in both of those energies into your day.

Speaker 1:

I'm going to kind of piggyback what I just said. So think about having an intentional morning like start your day with a routine that's both grounding yet inspiring. Try to set a quiet time for reflection or journaling or scripting. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I am obsessed with scripting. I do it twice a day. It's like a drug. I'm addicted to it like it's a drug. But taking some time to tap into your intuition by journaling or scripting or having some quiet, reflective time will allow you to tap into your feminine. By journaling or scripting or having some quiet, reflective time will allow you to tap into your feminine energy and then you can move into a specific goal for the morning, which is your masculine energy, like what you're going to tackle first, for example. This balance will help you start your day more in alignment than you might be doing right now.

Speaker 1:

Another idea is having flow blocks One of my favorite things ever, which is creating parts of your day where you allow yourself to work without a specific agenda. You allow yourself to do something that is fun. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I'm all about fun. Schedule in fun every single freaking day of your life, because life is short. When you're scheduling that fun activity and you're doing the fun thing, you are then in that flow state, which is feminine.

Speaker 1:

Another tip is boundaries and flexibility. So, like I live a life where I do a lot of things, but my boundaries are so rock solid. My one-on-one clients who are listening to this, you know this. I set very strict boundaries around work hours. That's a masculine energy that I tap into, but if inspiration strikes or something comes up that I want to do, I am completely flexible on how I use that time, and you should do the same thing. So you have structure in place, but you're letting your feminine energy keep things open to flow, and when you're in flow, you're more receptive and things just get wildly better. That's why you want to blend both, and when you add in your fun with boundaries around that, it's amazing.

Speaker 1:

Another tip is being more mindful with your decision making. So, like before you make a huge decision, are you making that decision from your norm, which is probably operating in your dominant energy? So is that masculine or feminine? So are you making that decision as if you always would make that decision, or ask yourself can you pause and ask yourself does this feel in alignment and expansive, which would be feminine energy, or is this just a solid, actionable plan, which is your masculine energy? So you're giving both sides a voice in the process of you asking, similar to how I made the decision to turn down the $48,000 client I just talked to you about last week. I had to tap into both energies and get some quiet time to get clarity on that, to really decide and make a decision. And then, lastly, reflection and then also course correction. Set aside time at the end of the day or at the end of each week is probably more realistic to evaluate where you might be overusing one energy over the other. This has helped me because I'm on this path.

Speaker 1:

I've started that really in the last like eight, 12 weeks of like self-discovery, of just trying to get to know myself more, trying to do more things that are uncomfortable, trying to treat more days as if it's my first, like literally you would die if you were in my head in my narrative. Every time I wake up, every time I do anything Like I literally pretend I woke up as a 36-year-old but the day before I was 90 and I like killed to wake up as a 36-year-old again and like I did it. Like it's a game changer if you try that, but just think about it. Where were you this week? Did you feel like you were tapping into more masculine or did you tap more into your feminine and how did it feel and what was the result of that? This is meant to be fun. Self-discovery should be an experiment. It should be a project. It should be fun.

Speaker 1:

This stuff is not that serious and if you're taking life seriously, I would really encourage you to try tapping into your feminine energy, because life is meant to be a ride. How good can you make the ride? How thrilling can you make the ride? How peaceful can you make the ride? All of these are your choices. That's the beautiful thing. Do you want your ride to be a roller coaster where you're like throwing up, like have fun with that. Or do you want your ride to be like easy street? You're floating down a stream and everything's going well for you and the sun is beaming on your skin and you just like have your favorite drink in your hand and you're like, holy shit, is this like my life right now? Like does it really get to be this good? Like you get to decide your ride of life? So what's it going to be?

Speaker 1:

And a lot of this is using the tools at your disposal Masculine energy, feminine energy, self-discovery, figuring these things out. And if you're liking this conversation, you definitely want to get into the Freedom Society because I share all of my upcoming things like masterclasses, free trainings, new programs, new opportunities to work with me, group programs All that jazz is all in the Freedom Society. Speaker 1:

So to recap this, balancing these two energies, the masculine and feminine. It's a journey, not a destination. Have fun with it. It's a practice that changes day by day and that's fun. Not like, let me lose my mind because I'm type A, because I'm a recovering type A. Hi, and that's the beauty of it. When you start to notice like which energy you're leaning into, you literally gain more freedom. You gain more time and more alignment in your life. Like who doesn't want that? This is not about being perfect. It's about staying aware and making small shifts that support you and where you want to go.

Speaker 1:
