So, if you're ready to rewrite your story and live life that's bold, authentic and unapologetically yours, let's dive in. Hello, my beautiful friend, welcome back to. She's Redefined.

Speaker 1:

Do you hear that my voice is much different than the past few episodes I've had? Oh man, it's been a journey and I just want to thank everyone for, like my diehard listeners who listened to the episode where my voice was gone and I was hysterically crying on it I just love you so much and I haven't heard from anybody, but I can see the numbers, and the numbers are I'll be honest with you are lower than my typical, and that's that sense, because I even warned you my voice sounded like shit and I was bawling, and if that makes you uncomfortable, like you do, you and you step out and that's fine, but still seeing like a decent amount of listeners on that really just warned my heart that like I've got some ride or dies and it means the absolute world to me, and so, if that was you, I just want to say I love you and I appreciate you so much. Okay, today we're diving into a topic that's actually deeply, deeply personal to me, and it's all around embracing life. Go big or go home energy, like have you heard that term? Like you go big or you go home. Yeah, that's what we're going to be talking about today. So let's start with a little story. It's one that's been on my heart and heavy on my heart, but it also has taught me a lot. So I'm actually going to talk to you about my horse and the situation. If you did not listen to that episode, here's a quick recap my safe place, my therapy partner, my everything, my horse. His name is Skids.

Speaker 1:

He needed emergency colic surgery, and when I say emergency, I mean it. It wasn't just a stomach ache, it wasn't a simple fix. It was the surgery, the big one, the kind that makes you hold your breath, cross your fingers and pray harder than you have ever prayed. What actually ended up happening was his large colon was caught between his spleen and his kidney. That's called an entrapment. I actually don't know the actual scientific term. I should have looked that up. Sorry, but it's like a freak accident. It can happen to any horse at any time. What's really interesting is he saw three vets that day because it was just a roller coaster, and the second vet whose hospital he was at did not know that. So it must have happened on the trailer ride to the other hospital. That was an hour away, but it was just unfortunate that he could not dislodge it and they couldn't do it for him. And so he had to have emergency surgery and like, talk about like the worst moment ever.

Speaker 1:

But when I came out of the trauma and when I finally got a clear head, I wasn't just so emotional. Do you know what hit me? It hit me that he couldn't just have a small thing, a small stomachache, a small hiccup, right Like he couldn't do that. Nope, he had to go all in, he had to go big. And as I sat there worrying, I realized that's me too. My entire life is. Of course, katie can just do this, she has to go the upteenth degree. So let me give you some examples of what I mean and I promise you this is not new for me when it's just go big or go home.

Speaker 1:

So when I was 18, I played soccer all through high school. I actually was on varsity, starting as a freshman and my senior year. I don't just sprain my ankle my senior year in the middle of the game, nope, I spiral, fracture it and I end up having to have surgery to get seven screws and a plate put in my right ankle. Yeah, you heard that right. They're still in there, by the way, and it's a pain. I don't just break my wrist, nope, I shatter it into a million pieces and I needed to have surgery to get eight screws and a plate in my right wrist. Those two injuries happened a decade apart and they're both still in my body. So, fun fact, I have a total of 15 screws and two plates of hardware in my body of two injuries that happened a decade apart.

Speaker 1:

So it's like life has this way of saying to me, like if you're going to go through a girl, we're going to make it big, capital letters, bold, underline and, honestly, it's been the same exact thing in my business, like I don't just do things halfway, it's like I'm not in my DNA. Obviously, I'm either all in or I am not in at all. I've been like this with relationships with ex boyfriends, like I'm like the second, I'm done, I'm done or I'm all in. And what I've learned is big challenges are not here to break us. They're actually here to remind us just how capable we are. So this is where I want to bring it back to you.

Speaker 1:

Life will throw some big things your way. Sometimes it's a broken wrist, sometimes it's an unexpected business setback, sometimes it's a literal storm that wipes everything out that you've built, and I know that feeling can feel so overwhelming. It can take everything. It can make you question everything your strength, your decisions, your dreams. But here's what I want you to hear from me today Big challenges demand big energy from big people. Let me say that again Big challenges demand big energy from big people. You weren't made to play small. If life is throwing you into the deep end, it's because you were built to swim.

Speaker 1:

I know this might sound intense, so let me take it back to my horse for a second again, when I was sitting in my bed because he had to have emergency surgery. In the middle of the night, when I was sitting there waiting and I was hysterical, I was crying, my husband's holding me and I was waiting if he was going to pull through. In that moment I felt so small, I felt helpless. But I also knew that no matter what, whatever I faced, whatever came next, I faced it before and I could get through it. I talked a lot about that in the other episode. When my business felt like it was stuck on the runway where I was waiting for it to take off, I thought maybe this is all it'll ever be. Maybe I need to go back to being a C-suite executive in corporate America. You know my story. It was the first episode I ever had on this podcast. But when I decided actually, no, I'm going to go all in, I'm going to show up with everything I have and I'm going to bet on myself until I'm blue in the face, that's when things changed. My business didn't just grow, it skyrocketed Last year. I 7x my business in a matter of three months, and the same is true for you.

Speaker 1:

I want you to think about the hardest thing you've ever faced. Maybe it was something personal, professional, maybe a mix, maybe something in between. Now ask yourself what did it teach me? How did it make me stronger when I came out on the other side? What did I take from that experience? What did I learn? Because those moments, those go big or go home moments, that's what those those are. They're not here to break you. They're here to shape you into the person you were always meant to be.

Speaker 1:

The other thing that I've learned is I constantly have got to check my ego. I used to, and like horse gals, horse people, horse folks that, uh, follow me and listen to this podcast, I you but I used to judge people who had horses who colicked. I was literally like dang, like, like what's that about? Can't you like? Are you giving them enough water? Are you giving them enough food? And let me tell you the humble pie I ate, now that I have that scarlet letter, if you will, where my pride and joy horse has that scar from having colic surgery, like that was another thing that I'm like. It's an evolution to check my ego, even as awakened as I am spiritually. We all have the ego and it's a matter of dancing with it, learning to coexist with it and silence it as much as you can. It's not killing it off. I used to believe that and I even have talked about that on this podcast. But it's not about killing it off. It's about learning to work with it, and so learning to eat some humble pie and realize this doesn't make me any less of a person. And the people that judge that, hey, I'm owning that. I used to be one of those. They just haven't experienced their thing yet, where their ego is going to be checked.

Speaker 1:

The other thing, and the truth is, big results don't come from small energy. If you're playing small, you're hesitating, you're holding back, you're waiting for the quote right time, you're missing the magic of going all in. This doesn't mean you have to hustle yourself into burnout or grind or do more or put more hours in or rush, rush, rush, because you're rushing to basically death. Like, why are you trying to rush this beautiful life? It's not about that. It means showing up with clarity and intention and deciding I'm all in on myself, I'm betting on myself. Stop playing small in your life, in your business. Stop playing small in your life.

Speaker 1:

This year, I want you to stop asking the what if? Game. Don't ask a what if at all. Don't play the I shoulds I should have. Instead, I want you to turn the what if? If you were to ask it, what if you soar? What if I soar? What if I can feel like a million bucks? What if I can feel joy in everything that I do this year? Because the life that you want, the freedom, the ease, the success, it's not going to wait for you to tiptoe toward it. It's waiting for you to claim it. It's waiting for you to step into that big energy, that all-in energy.

Speaker 1:

If you're feeling stuck, some things you can ask yourself are am I holding back because I'm scared? Am I showing up as the big money, big success, six-figure earner would? Am I waiting for someone else to give me permission to show up big, to show up how I want to, to say the things I want to say? Am I ready to stop hiding my stories from people who are close to me because I'm afraid of what they're going to think? Am I playing small because it feels safer? My friend, it is time to redefine how you show up for your life and your business. So here's my challenge for you Take one step today that feels huge, massive, big, big, all in energy, even if it's scary and I want to hear what that is. If you could DM me and tell me so that I can cheer for you.

Speaker 1:

I recently did this story where I asked people what are they trying to make this year? Oh, my gosh, that was probably the most engagement I've gotten in a while, and some of y'all have some massive goals and I freaking love it because I want to stretch you, to go even bigger. Like, do you remember a few episodes back, Gosh? I can't even remember now. It's like if you're asking God to just cover your bills, like he's like yeah, this is boring, no problem. Like when you're going to ask me some real shit, like so I can actually deliver on what you want, that's when you go for it.

Speaker 1:

We can't keep asking the universe and God to help us get by, skate, by, pay off the minimum payment for my credit card so that I can like, get by and keep breathing, like and this is not throwing shade, feel my heart on this but when are we going to step into big energy and start co-creating with the universe and God to be like, can you, let's deliver? Like, let me step into that big energy by deciding and going all in and following the flow of that energy. That's when shit happens and it gets fricking exciting. So, if you're ready to redefine your success, redefine your freedom, redefine your life, stay tuned, because big things are coming and you know I love a big thing okay, because you're not here to play small girl. You are not. You're here to take up space. We need you. You're here to embrace the big energy. You're here to go all in and inspire others to do the same, because the people following you are following you for a reason. The people in your world and your network are in your world and network for a reason. So, create a life that's as bold and beautiful as you are. You just need to unleash her.
