Hi, I’m Beth — and this episode is a little different.

The other day I was looking for a podcast that didn’t tell me to do more, achieve more, or optimise everything. I just wanted something gentle that said: You’re okay. Just as you are.

So today, I’m giving you that reminder. You don’t have to track every step, follow every rule, or strive for perfection. You’re allowed to pause. You're allowed to sit with where you are in life right now and just "be".

I share why it’s okay to embrace your quirks, your tangents, your imperfections, and why sometimes simply being is enough.

If this episode resonates, save it for a day you need it, share it with a friend, and consider following the show on Apple Podcasts. You are amazing — just as you are.

Lots of love,
 Beth 🤍

Hi, I am Beth and welcome to another episode of the podcast. Today's podcast episode is a little bit different to usual. Let me explain. The other day I was looking for a podcast to listen to. I wanted something that was gentle, not filled with ads, not telling me how to do anything in particular, not listening to other people's stories of failing or succeeding, just a. Do you know you are okay just as you are type of podcast. I find that so often we're told to do more, to be more, to want more, to achieve more, and sometimes I'm just like, no, I just want to have peace. Freedom and to feel that I'm okay just as I am. I think a lot of us are at the point where we're overwhelmed with the to-dos. Do 10,000 steps a day, go to the gym three times a week, get eight hours sleep. Drink your body weight in water, take collagen and supplements. Eat only between these hours when the sun goes down. Do this when the sun rises. Do that. Track everything and learn more. Strive for more. And don't get me wrong, I'm all about a bit of self-improvement and I love a good statistic. I've got lots of episodes on these very subjects, but at what point do we stop the self-improvement and go, do you know what? For now, I'm just going to sit with where I am and enjoy it. I accept that I'm not perfect, that I don't always get it right and that I make mistakes, but that's okay because I'm human At the same time, I love my family. I look after people. I try to be kind and helpful and bring more to the world than they take from it, and I know we don't always succeed in that, but sometimes we just need to hear this message rather than being told that we should be doing this or we ought to be doing that. Or if only we looked at something like this, life would be better because amongst all the striving, the moving, the goal setting and the achievements life can just pass us by. So this is my message to you to say, I know we've never met, but I think you are awesome. I love the way you care for people and reach out to those who need your help. I love your laugh and your sense of humor. I love that you wander off, mid-sentence, go off on a huge tangent and come back to the conversation again. I love that you forget words or use the wrong words and that you are attached to that key ring that you were given eons ago by someone you love. I love that you like to sing whilst cleaning, that you send videos to your friends of tiny flowers that you've seen on your walk. I love that sometimes you are grouchy and that occasionally you snore, but more than anything, I hope you can come back to this when you are feeling blue, a little off kilter, and know that you are amazing just as you are. I'm going to leave it there for today and just let this sit with you. If you've got a friend or anyone you know who you think might like to hear this, please forward it to them and let them know that I think they're amazing too. Take care, lots of love. Bye for now.
