Jack once struck out his former team's coach's son on a 3-2 count with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th to win second place in his Little League. It is his greatest sports achievement.

At Russell's very first Diamondbacks game, his section won a giveaway where potato chips fell down from the rafters of Bank One Ballpark to the fans below. He thought this was an every game experience and expected it to happen at every baseball game he went to from there on out. It has never happened since.
