Jesus is dedicated at the temple. Simeon prophesies over Him and tells Mary that He is destined for the fall and rise of many. Anna tells everyone about Him.

Jesus is born in Bethlehem and placed in a manger. Angels announce His birth toshepherds. They visit Jesus and broadcast what they heard and saw.

John is born. At his circumcision, Zacharias names him, and his mouth is opened to prophesy about John. John grows and becomes strong in spirit.

Gabriel visits Mary and tells her that she will give birth to the Son of the Highest. Mary visits Elizabeth who says that she is blessed. Mary magnifies the Lord.

Luke gives his purpose and method of writing his Gospel. The angel Gabriel appears to Zacharias while he is in the temple and announces John’s birth.

Jesus makes many resurrection appearances. He gives His disciples the GreatCommission and promises signs that will follow. Then He ascends to heaven.

Joseph of Arimathea buries Jesus in his tomb. Women go to the tomb Sunday morning. An angel tells them Jesus is risen! They leave, afraid and amazed.

While rejected as “King of the Jews,” Jesus demonstrates that He is the Son of God by dying on the cross to fulfill Scripture and open the way to God.

Pilate tries Jesus and attempts to release Him, but the crowd asks for Barabbas. Pilate delivers Jesus to be scourged and crucified. Roman soldiers mock Him.

Jesus stands trial before the Sanhedrin. He confesses to be the Christ, the Son of God, and they condemn Him to die. Peter denies knowing Him three times.

Jesus prays in Gethsemane while His disciples sleep. Judas arrives with the mob and betrays Jesus with a kiss. Jesus is arrested and the disciples flee.

Jesus eats the Passover with His disciples in the upper room and institutes the Lord’s Supper. He announces his betrayal and predicts Peter’s denial.
