I believe that every day, in every classroom, every learner should be appropriately challenged and supported.
As a teacher, I developed an instructional model that met each of my students' diverse learning needs. I recorded my own instructional videos, and spent class time working one-on-one and in small groups with my students. I gave my students the time they needed to achieve real mastery, and held them to it.
Today, alongside my former teaching colleague Kareem Farah, I lead the Modern Classrooms Project in empowering educators around the world. Through our online courses and community, we can help any educator, anywhere, respond to their own learners' needs. Together, we're leading a movement of educators in fostering human connection, authentic learning, and social-emotional growth.
