Barbara Southwick
Barb Southwick is the founder of Spectrum Education, Inc., a nonprofit virtual school dedicated to supporting students with disabilities through flexible, inclusive, and student-centered learning environments. With a background as both a parent advocate and special education teacher, Barb has spent her career reimagining what education can look like for students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and other diverse needs. Her work blends compassion, innovation, and evidence-based practice to empower students who often struggle in traditional classrooms to thrive academically and socially in virtual settings. Barb’s mission is to make personalized learning accessible for all learners, regardless of ability or background.
