Dr. Hyacinth Dyer is an educator, researcher, and advocate committed to advancing equity in K–12 education. With a doctorate focused on culturally relevant teaching practices, Dr. Dyer’s work explores the systemic barriers that Black girls face in schools and provides actionable strategies for closing opportunity gaps. Her study, Education and the Black Girl, sheds light on the disparities between teacher perceptions and student experiences, offering a roadmap for creating more inclusive, empowering learning environments. Driven by a passion for social justice and educational transformation, Dr. Dyer continues to inspire educators to listen, learn, and lead with equity at the forefront.
