Whitney Tfankedjian - on the 'holidays' + honouring yourself through them

Hello friends!! 🎙🕯

Happy whatever you celebrate!!! + happiness to you if you don’t have any celebrations this time of year. 

I share in this episode a bit of my personal experience with the holidays, some ways I know a few of us relate to certain feelings around this time of year, + I take the time to help you to feel empowered to make choices for yourself.

I hope this time shared supports you to reduce any feelings of guilt, shame, grief. + I want you to remember that things only hold the weight that you put on them. 

Many of us do not connect with this holiday specifically, as we may feel rooted in other practices, religions, + beliefs + I think there needs to be space held for that.

I want to remind us of the pressures that are put on us or ones we put on ourselves to show up, buy things, be around people that are harmful to us. 

+ I want to make sure we’re all staying open, kindhearted, + remember those in our communities who are less fortunate, this time of year + every other day.

I remind you to show up where you feel you want to + to listen to the voice that’s telling you that it’s not working. I remind you of others projections, staying strong in knowing who you are, + if you need to head to the bathroom for a noticed breath, do it.
