A recent social media post about friendship circles inspired me to share my take on the different levels of friendship and how someone moves from our outer circle – acquaintances and colleagues – to the inner circle of people we share our most vulnerable and deepest thoughts and feelings with – our core group of VIP friends. I talk about managing expectations across the circles, the reciprocation of friendship, and the challenges of transitioning friends between the inner and outer circles.
I hope this episode helps you to reflect on your circle of friends and deepens your understanding of the importance of authenticity and connection at each level of friendship.
