Gut Health, Stress and Self Care Fundamentals with Aline McCarhthy
Aline McCarthy is a leading expert in Cellular to Holistic Health guiding midlife women to thrive. As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Cellular Health and Nutrition Coach she guides women in midlife in transforming their health from the inside out so they can finally feel back in control, comfortable and confident in everyday life.
Aline overcame her own chronic back pain, gut health, anxiety and inflammation issues by addressing the underlying causes and making appropriate lifestyle changes. When the mainstream medical system did not provide any satisfactory answers for her, Aline decided to learn from the best and radically change the way she was doing things, and now she helps other women do the same.
Aline and I chat about:
- her own journey through chronic pain after the birth of her second child and the decision to find a different way after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and offered multiple pain medications
- how Aline believes her pregnancy was just the tipping point, and her gut and other health imbalances had been accumulating since her 20s
- our gut as our second brain, how the brain and “second brain” are connected, and how important it is to make space for the rest and digest system to switch on when we eat
