So Be It: Succeed after Survival Mode
So Be It: Succeed After Survival Mode
So Be It is a podcast for high-achieving women who have already survived a difficult chapter, and now feel stuck, disoriented, or unable to move forward the way they used to.
If your mind knows what you want, but your body reacts with fear, shutdown, or overthinking…
If pushing, forcing, or “doing more work” no longer works…
If you’re not in crisis, but you’re no longer able to succeed the old way
- This podcast is for you.
Hosted by Dr Amen Kaur, So Be It explores what happens after survival mode - when awareness is high, but momentum is gone.
This podcast is built on true understanding - not fixing, motivating, or rushing you forward.
Each episode explains what’s actually happening beneath the surface: why insight alone stops creating change, how the nervous system quietly guards against expansion, and why growth can feel blocked even when you want it.
This is not a podcast about slowing down your ambition or healing forever. Nothing here assumes something is wrong with you.
Instead, So Be It offers a clear, grounded framework for learning how to grow, decide, and expand from a regulated system - so success no longer requires self-abandonment, overgiving, or burnout.
Blending psychology, neuroscience, and lived embodied experience, this podcast introduces a new success paradigm for women whose bodies are no longer available for survival-based momentum - but who know they are meant for more.
Formerly The Toxic Relationship Detox, So Be It continues the same soul-led mission with a sharper focus: helping women succeed after survival, with clarity, steadiness, and inner authority - informed by deep experience in growth, leadership, and decision-making, alongside scientific and spiritual understanding of human capacity.

So Be It: Succeed after Survival Mode
AI Is Advancing Fast. Are World Leaders Humane Enough to Guide It?
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Artificial intelligence is advancing faster than most people ever expected.
But the real question may not be whether machines become smarter.
The real question is this:
Are humans and especially our world leaders - humane enough to guide the intelligence we are creating?
In this episode, we explore the deeper issue behind many of the challenges facing the world today. As AI accelerates and global systems shift, the real challenge may not be technology itself - but the level of human intelligence guiding it.
Many people today feel overwhelmed by uncertainty, complexity, and constant change. We are more informed than ever before, yet many of us feel increasingly disconnected, reactive, and trapped in overthinking.
Why?
Because for generations we have been trained to rely primarily on cognitive intelligence - the ability to analyse, process information, and think logically.
But in a world where AI can process information faster than any human ever could, cognition alone is no longer enough.
This episode introduces the idea of Human Intelligence - a holistic form of intelligence that integrates:
• Nervous system intelligence
• Emotional intelligence
• Intuitive intelligence
• Cognitive intelligence
When these forms of intelligence work together, we are able to move beyond survival-based thinking and begin making decisions that create long-term value, wiser leadership, and more humane systems.
We also explore a deeper personal insight: that much of what we chase in life - success, recognition, achievement - may actually be a search for something far more fundamental.
The desire to exist, to matter, and to experience being truly alive.
In a world shaped by artificial intelligence, the future may not belong to those who simply think faster - but to those who develop the deeper intelligence required to guide humanity forward.
In this episode you’ll learn:
- Why cognitive intelligence alone is no longer enough in the age of AI
- How nervous system regulation affects decision-making and leadership
- Why many intelligent people feel overwhelmed or stuck today
- The four forms of intelligence that create Human Intelligence
- How developing human intelligence can help you navigate uncertainty and make wiser long-term decisions

The Real Question About AI
SPEAKER_00So AI might soon be more cognitively intelligent than every human alive. But the real question isn't whether machines will become smarter. The real question is will humans become wise enough to guide the intelligence that we are creating? Because when we look at the world right now, it looks like we're living through a moment of enormous change all the time. And artificial intelligence is accelerating faster than most people expected as well. Global systems are shifting fast, and with many intelligent, capable people are beginning to feel something in their own lives as well. A sense that the way they've been thinking, working, and making decisions may no longer be enough for the world that we're entering. You can sense it. You might have felt this yourself. You have the experience, you have the intelligence, you've built a career or a level of success, but you might find yourself overthinking important questions or decisions or feeling overwhelmed by the complexity of the world, especially right now. Or you're questioning whether the path that you're on is still the one that you really want to follow. Not because you lack intelligence, but because the world is entering into a different kind of intelligence. And in this episode, I want to explore something I call human intelligence. What it is, why it matters in the age of AI, and how developing this deeper form of intelligence can help you. Make clearer decisions, navigate uncertainty, move into what it is that you want to do and create a life and leadership that actually works for you long term. Not just for now. And how you can navigate uncertainty. AI can write essays, it can analyze vast amounts of data, it can make connections that our human brain can't. It can even generate art and photography, and it can simulate conversations like this one. There's so many people that have AI avatars doing their podcasts for them. Many of us are already using it in our everyday lives. Maybe you use ChatGBT or Gemini, and yet something interesting is happening at the same time. Artificial intelligence is becoming more powerful. There's no doubt about that. But many humans are becoming less regulated. And part of the reason is the speed of change that we're going through. Right now, so much is happening in the world. And it's not because we're less informed about what is going on. Yes, we might not be certain why people are making the decisions that they're making, but because information today is everywhere. We have so much information, but with vast amounts of information constantly available to us, something else is happening. We're all becoming less emotionally aware, less able to sit with complexity, less able to regulate stress and uncertainty as life becomes faster and more demanding. And most of us, whether it be leaders or you are the leader itself, are struggling to keep ourselves regulated. And maybe that is impacting people like us that work for these people. And it raises a much deeper question. What is intelligence? For most of human history, intelligence meant one thing: information. We went to school, we were taught that intelligence meant knowing the right answers. So you had an exam, you had to learn everything. And the more knowledge you had, the more intelligent you were considered to be. You got higher grades. The people that held the most knowledge often held the most power. Scientists, philosophers, scholars. And we even have this phrase that you might have heard growing up, knowledge is power. But today, we're entering a completely different world. Information is no longer scarce. In fact, it's available almost instantly on your phone, no matter what it is that you want. An AI can retrieve more knowledge in seconds than any human can learn in an entire lifetime. Even professionals who were once the gatekeepers of information are increasingly relying on technology to access knowledge because it's so fast. You might go to your GP or your doctors and find they're using AI to help diagnose what you might be going through. Which means something important has changed. If machines can now process information faster than we can, then information alone can no longer define intelligence because there's so much of it. We need a way of deciphering that intelligence. So we need to ask a different question. What kind of intelligence actually matters in the age of AI? And when we look around the world right now, this question becomes incredibly personal. Because so many of us feel overwhelmed today. Overwhelmed by the information that we're seeing on the news, or maybe about companies and etc. Overwhelmed by uncertainty. What's going to happen and how is it going to impact you? Overwhelmed by constant change. Many people are living in a state of chronic stress, even without realizing we're not even aware that we're in that chronic stress. We're numbing our anxieties, we're suppressing our feelings, and we're carrying on because that's what we've done all along. But actually, there's more overwhelm, there's more change. And regardless of the numbing, our nervous systems are constantly reacting to pressure, the news, the expectations, the responsibilities that you have. And perhaps you've experienced this yourself. You're sitting down to make an important decision. Maybe it's about your work, the next steps that you want to take, your leadership, your future. Maybe you want to pivot in your life. You don't want to do the job that you're doing, but you don't know what it is that you want to do. So you're still in that same position. And you know you want to do something new. And suddenly your mind starts analyzing every possible outcome. Okay, if I do this, then this means that I won't be earning as much and this could go wrong. And I can't actually have everything I want. I have to compromise. And you think about what other people will think and the impact on others and whether you're making the right choice. And instead of feeling clear, it leads you to feeling stuck, unable to move forward, unable to access the same motivation that drove you once to achieve more, to be more, to go beyond your current status or the current level that you were. And when we do, something happens. Our thinking becomes reactive and our emotions become harder to regulate. And we become more anxious and exhausted doing the things that we've always done for years. And our ability to see the bigger picture becomes limited. And sometimes we know what we need to do, but something is holding us back, and our options begin to feel smaller. And we begin making decisions based on survival rather than long-term growth or wisdom. Think about the last time you felt overwhelmed. Maybe you had too many responsibilities, maybe you're carrying too much, too many decisions to make, too many things demanding your attention. In those moments, it becomes harder to think clearly, harder to access creativity. The once maybe was really easy to access for you, and harder for you to hear your intuition. And that's not because you're incapable. It's because your nervous system is trying to keep you safe. This is why I've been thinking deeply about something I call human intelligence. Because human intelligence is not just cognitive intelligence. Human intelligence is holistic intelligence. It's the integration of several different forms of intelligence that allows us to navigate life, to lead and to make decisions in a complex world and to create the life that we want. And the most important insight is this human intelligence begins with nervous system intelligence. Your nervous system is the foundation of how you experience and respond to the world. And it's super fast. You cannot override that intelligence. You have to work with it. And it determines whether you react from fear or respond from clarity. It determines whether you operate from survival mode or your creative mode, your genius mode. When your nervous system is dysregulated, everything becomes harder. Even if you're around someone that is dysregulated, everything becomes harder because they can dysregulate your nervous system. And you might start to overthink, feel overwhelmed, start reacting emotionally, and you might struggle to see the bigger picture. But when the nervous system is regulated and you are in charge of your nervous system, and you know how to notice when other people are dysregulating and know how to regulate your own nervous system, something very different happens. Your mind becomes clearer, your emotional intelligence becomes accessible, empathy, consideration, understanding, your intuition becomes easier to hear. It gives you ideas, it's like your genius, and your cognitive intelligence begins to function far more effectively. And most importantly, it gives you the opportunity to actually use AI rather than be led by AI. So human intelligence is not about thinking better, it's about integrating four different types, four different forms of intelligence. The first is the nervous system intelligence, the ability to regulate your internal state, to remain grounded under pressure, to stay calm when the world around you is uncertain. And then the second is emotional intelligence, your ability to understand emotions, both your own and other people's, because you have the ability to have empathy. This is where empathy, connection, and humane leadership come from. You can really make a difference to other people's lives and also your own as well. This is like where you can create win-win scenarios where you get more and more clients come to you because they know you actually take care of them. That's how to build a business, after all. The third is intuitive intelligence. This is a deeper knowing that often emerges when the mind becomes quiet enough to listen. Many successful leaders and entrepreneurs openly talk about how important intuition is in their decision making. And finally, is cognitive intelligence, the thinking mind, the ability to analyze, strategize, and process all that information. For a long time, we've treated cognitive intelligence as if that's the only important one. But in the age of AI, cognitive intelligence is not going to be our greatest advantage. It's not. Our greatest advantage is going to be the ability to integrate all these forms of intelligence together and then use cognitive intelligence. When we do this, something remarkable happens. We begin management, but actually work for us over a long period of time. Much like a business that stops constantly chasing new customers and instead begins building repeat relationships that compound over time. We basically move beyond short-term survival thinking and we start thinking holistically. We start asking questions like, what impact will this decision have on me long-term? Is this the right partner? Is this the right job? Is this where I want to move to? Or are these the skills that I want to use so that I can build towards my long-term plan? What impact will it have on others? Do I know what my long-term plan is? What is it that I truly want to do? What kind of future am I actually building through my actions today? And this shift is incredibly important for leadership, business, and personal life, relationships, basically every area of your life. Because when people operate from survival thinking, their decisions tend to be reactive and short-term. And it impacts us on our health, our wealth, our relationships in every area of our life, our joy. But when people develop human intelligence, their decisions begin creating long-term value. They build stronger relationships, more trust, and sustainable success and a meaningful impact. And this is how great leaders and great businesses are built, not through short-term wins, but through long-term solutions to real problems. And this becomes even more important in a world shaped by powerful technologies because artificial intelligence is not just another tool, it is a force that will reshape economies, industries, and global power structures. The real question for the future may not be how intelligent our machines become. The real question may be: will humans develop the wisdom and a holistic human intelligence required to guide them? And perhaps you've experienced another side of this as well. You achieve something that you've worked towards, a goal, a milestone, a moment of success, and you feel great. And then all of a sudden, that feeling fades, and you find yourself immediately chasing the next thing. And many high performers live like this for years without realizing it. And all they're doing is numbing themselves so that they can get that next goal. And I've recently had a realization that made this feel deeply personal. When I looked back over my own life, I realized that so much of what I had been doing was driven by something very simple. All I really wanted was to exist. I wanted to feel like that my life mattered, to feel that I had a place in the world, to feel I belonged, to feel like I was seen, heard, understood. And one when I saw this clearly, something shifted for me. Because I realized that so many of the things that I chased in life, success, recognition, achievement, were often just trying to prove that I existed. Maybe you are trying to prove you exist, trying to be seen, heard, trying to matter. But what if intelligence was never about proving anything? What if intelligence is about being present enough to truly experience being alive? Maybe the future isn't about becoming more machine-like. Maybe the future is about becoming more human and really experiencing that and then experiencing the success and the freedom from being more human, developing the kind of intelligence that machines cannot replicate. The intelligence of presence, the intelligence of emotional awareness, the intelligence of regulating ourselves in a complex and rapidly changing world. And I know that sometimes we think we can't because we won't be able to achieve our goal. But I've had so many clients again and again that have been stuck, who suddenly get their job that's paying them twice as much as they were, or three times as much, and they can't believe that they're actually earning that level. Because we have to get real about this. If AI can think faster than we can cognitively, then the intelligence that will matter most may not be thinking alone. It may be human intelligence. Human intelligence isn't about becoming someone new, it's about reconnecting with the forms of intelligence that have always been within you and that will provide you with the results that you want. So here's something to reflect on. In your own life, are you relying mainly on cognitive intelligence? Are you trying to think your way out of something, or are you developing the deeper forms of intelligence that allow you to navigate life with clarity, presence, and your own wisdom? And if this idea resonates with you and you want to get ahead, if you feel that there is a deeper level of intelligence within you that you know you have innately and you want to develop, I have created a free masterclass where we can explore this much more deeply.
