Reverse, Reset, Restore
This is for all of us who have been wounded by our own (and others) judgements and expectations, who have listened to those inner voices and believed the lies we've sold ourselves and for those who truly want to love and honour who you were always meant to be. If you've struggled with self-acceptance, poor body image and a belief system that is no longer serving you (if it ever did!), then this podcast is your reminder that you're not alone and you can choose to make changes - from your health and wellbeing, to your thoughts and the way you move in the world.
Reverse, Reset, Restore
The Silence of Self-Sabotage - Part Two
Welcome back to the second episode in looking at how we silence ourselves when we use self-sabotaging behaviours.
In part one, found here, we looked at the reasons why we might find ourselves self-sabotaging and what some of those behaviours might be.
We all do it. Even the most successful of people, the most famous, the most well- known, seemingly have it altogether, people have moments of indulging our self-sabotaging monsters. And that's OK. We are all human and it's natural to be driven by our fears, thoughts or beliefs sometimes. It's the understanding that we CAN do something about it, even in the moment, or out of it, to make different choices and change our life.
And this is where part two now looks. We want to take some time to consider different techniques we can develop as part of our coping strategies, and changing old patterns and behaviours that have really stifled us from living our best lives. Our best lives, don't mean ones where we don't suffer, or have problems or situations we need to deal with. Our best lives, means we have the capacity within us to be more resilient to the things that sweep into our lives and try to knock us off of our feet. Learning what your self-sabotage triggers are, and the Why behind them, will allow you to safeguard your thoughts, beliefs and actions going forward.
So listen in for 12 tips and techniques you can apply to your life to minimise the number of times self-sabotaging tendencies show up in your life.
Today's quote is from the amazing Louise Hay and I really hope you allow it to be a moment of awakening in how much shifting your focus, thoughts, beliefs and behaviours, can really change your life.
"You have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn't worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens." - Louise Hay.
