All the Democrats are doing nothing and yes , it kind of feels that way . I . I think they have no idea what to do and especially I'm I'm hoping that we get to day 100 and then we get the whole listen to me .

Now whoever's telling them to do that ? But they gave the same speech and they all put it out at the same time . So somebody wrote them this speech and said , hey , put this on your social media account at this time . And it was all at the same time and it was cringingy . And then you have the choose your fighter thing . Have you seen that one ?

And it's the women , uh , of congress , and they're all like bouncing around like they're video game characters , like total knockout the video game . Yes , they're all like they're just all like just kind of bouncing to like eight bit music behind them and it's not doing anything , like I just don't , it's just driving me insane .

And like for a cisgendered female to have trained her entire life to be like a volleyball star or something like that , or track or swimming or something , and now you're racing against someone who biologically was male , like you're fucked . Yeah , and again to , to , again the lgbtq community . I'm I'm not , like , I'm not anti-trans rights , but this is one thing that is a very problematic position in a social position ?

But one thing I saw about Duke and kind of is concerning for me is I think they said 12 SEC teams have played more ranked teams Q1 .

I mean , that's what an achievement .

Speaker 1Because I didn't like dental school all that much and you're very hard pressed to find people who will talk about how great dental school was . Like , and it was a slog fest and it was just get through it , it was get through it .
Speaker 1The instructors a lot of them were assholes and they just it was like boot camp for four years and I had classmates that I didn't care for either , and you know I I mean I'm connected . It took me a long time to to bring the dental school experience back into my world . Um , there were some dental school classmates that I allowed to connect with me yeah on facebook , right , but it was 2018 when I went up to uh . I was going up to Allentown to speak at my Boy Scout Troops 50th year anniversary .
Speaker 1They asked me to speak at that . And so I flew into Philly and I've got a friend from dental school who practices just outside Philly , and so we got together around the King of Prussia Mall area and hung out . Before that I had driven up and I went by the dental school and I actually walked in and I haven't been in there since 2001 , and it's when I was in residency no , they really had done a renovation of it and everything , and so I was like okay , and , but you know , it's just like that was then and this is now and , and , and I don't have the same attachment to the dental school experience as I do say to the college experience .

Speaker 1But then I started letting more people back in the fold . And what ? And some people I'm like why am I even connected to you ? Like you ever have people on facebook ? You're like you're friends with them . You're like why am I friends with you ?

Speaker 1I , I just you know so , so anyway , um , so , yeah , so I I had a friend message me recently and she was well , you know , I'm talking to these people about maybe getting together . Do you want to join up ? And this that I'm like . Well , those people in that list you haven't really . They're not compelling for me to get together with them , right ? I wasn't friends with them in dental school . I haven't stayed in touch with them for the last 30 years yeah , and it's a lifetime they're like who knows what these people are ?

I'd fucking cry the rest of the day like I wouldn't want to fucking relive a second of that shit and yet , why do we commemorate it ?

Speaker 1So I mentioned that I'm going out to los angeles in a couple weeks and so I have you know , and I've talked about them both before I have two friends that um , one of whom writes for moon girl and devil dinosaurs wonaur and won two Emmys for it , and and so I generally get together with them , although I don't think I've told them yet that I'm coming , so like I'm gonna have to drop that probably today they're listening , but the you know , if we roll back to episode 11 , where I talk about rebuilding bridges , the high school girlfriend .

I'm planning on getting together with her and her husband for dinner while I'm out there , but then after that , after those particular people like I I don't know how interested I am in the high school world . Speaker 2I am . My best friend on the planet is my best friend that I had in high school . It's not changed Outside of him . I would totally just Krispy Kreme glazed donut eyes from anyone that would come up to me and talk to me . I'd go through the motions , but the introvertness of myself would just be like I'd be screaming on the inside . I don't care .
Speaker 1And I know that makes me a bad person to say it , but after about the fourth person .

Speaker 2It was and we had the misfortune I didn't even get invited to mine , I guess . Yeah , they figured I was just already dead or in prison . I was actually kind of one of the planners for mine doing it from a distance .
Speaker 1I had people calling me like well , jeff , what did you want to do this ? And I was like , okay , I guess I'm . And then at the 11th hour , this one girl who was kind of a mean girl in our class , kind of took over at the end .

Speaker 2Okay , and so were you like student council . Is that why everybody's like calling you and shit ? Or are you just that guy ? I don't know .

Speaker 1I will tell you this there have been some years where I've thought you know what I'd pay for the whole thing myself and just send out an invitation saying here's the date . It's a flex .

You just take me through the yearbook , I can tell you something about every single person oh wow , yeah like and and I'll see them and I'll know their name and and and yeah , so I am cursed with that .

And I'm like , I'm like you have no idea how lucky you are .
