Hello loves, welcome back to another episode of the Veronica Ramos podcast. It's Veronica, your host. Happy Friday. Oh my gosh, you guys. Let me tell you guys about my week. It has been a crazy week and I was like wondering what I wanted to talk about today. And I'm like, should I talk about my week? Because it was such a hard, crazy week, but also amazing. And I was like, yeah, sometimes I feel weird talking on the podcast about like things that happened to me or like when I'm down because I don't want it to be like a negative like space where you're feeling drained rather than like motivated. But also, I'm like, this is real life, and I want to be authentic and I want to share like my life and everything with you guys. So thank you so much always for tuning in, listening in. I really appreciate you. I love you. Thank you. Okay, let me tell you guys about my week, and then we'll get into today's topic. On, I'm gonna tell you guys what I do remember. Okay, work has been you guys crazy, and I just feel like I post on my social media on Instagram like all the beautiful things, all the wind, all the success, the beautiful things. And then yesterday, actually, I was laying right here on my podcast uh little couch and I was just crying because I was having such a stressful like last two days. But it was it's just because I'm dealing with two different situations in real estate where the people are really, really hard to work with, and that makes it so hard for me, like mentally. Sometimes I feel like some like transactions or deals or whatever you call them are not even worth it for my own mental health. Like I do have a total, you guys, right now, of like 16 families that I'm helping buy, sell, or build just myself, and the amount of overwhelm that I have, like it's um most of them are like amazing, amazing, but I just have two of them that I they have been draining my energy so much, and I just cannot. So yeah, I was just here crying, and I was like, it's funny how I and that same day I had posted on my Instagram like a smiley video of me like saying that we had gone under contract on a home, which is amazing, but it's like I never want I never post the bad parts, but yeah, I was just having a moment yesterday where I was so done and just overwhelmed, and I just remind myself like it's a blessing. You could be stressed over being overwhelmed with work or stressed being struggling or broke, you know. So it's like I rather be stressed with money than broke and stress, you know. So yeah, I think it's just that everything else is fine. I think it was just the different personalities, and sometimes we're just not a good, it's not even that, it's not even like on my client's side, it's on the other side. So, anyways, and also I went to the World Cup with my family to the World Cup game, the USA versus Australia. That was so random, it was like we had been thinking about it, and I feel like it's something that I really, really wanted to go to, and my husband too. Like, I remember we had talked about it, like when we had first met, we had talked about that one day I wanted to, we wanted to go to a World Cup, and we even had said, even if it's far, and thankfully there was one here in the US, so I'm like, when are we ever gonna have the opportunity to do that again? So we we I had already decided, well, we had already decided that we were not gonna go just because the tickets are kind of expensive, and I was like, oh my god, and then we were like hesitant because we were like, should we take the kids? Should we go by ourselves? But we were so guilty, like we felt so guilty because I feel like my son loves soccer and he's at the age where he will remember if we leave him. So I we just decided we're taking them, and we ended up finding like some really good tickets, still expensive, but it was the coolest experience to be there. I wish I would have gone to a Mexico one, like I saw the vibes in the Mexico and compared to over here, like Mexico, they were singing like Vicente Fernandez and like just really good oldies, and over here it wasn't a lot of music. I just know with the Mexico the vibes would have been good, but the US still was such beautiful, amazing experience to experience with my kids and my family. I got burnt. I don't know if you guys can see, like, I'm literally so so tanned, like to the point where I look toasted, but yeah, so it was worth it. So it's funny because Seattle's always cloudy, and the game was at 12 noon, and the sun was like peaking and it was hitting us directly. So we were dying right there, but it's okay, it was only you know the soccer game, and then we left. I had no energy to do anything after the soccer game, like they had like things going on in Seattle, and we just decided to go to the mall, and then I was at the mall, and I was like, Why did I do this? Like, I just want to go home. So we ended up just deciding to go home. Um, but yeah, that's kind of my week. I think the most stressful thing about my week was just I have so much going on with work right now that I just feel like overwhelmed, but also it made me like right now I had to just turn off my phone. Even if anybody calls, I'm like, my phone's gonna be off, and I'm gonna record this podcast because I've been wanting to, and it's like something that I love doing, and I feel like if I don't do that, I'm just never gonna be able to, you know, record an episode, so I just turned my phone off. But today, you guys, we're gonna talk about hot girl summer. I have been so so locked in. Also, did you guys hear the TikTok or did you guys see online that someone like trademarked hot girl walks and now like you can't really use it? That is the dumbest thing. It's like trademarking like the run the most random word, but it's a word that everybody uses. So, how is it being trademarked? You know, it just doesn't make sense. It's dumb. I'm sure they're gonna, I don't know, I'm still gonna use it. But anyways, I have been locked in, you guys, for like three weeks. Oh my gosh, it's crazy what one week does. Like one week I was feeling good, two weeks I was feeling good, three weeks. You feel amazing. Like, I just feel like I took a picture and my stomach was starting to look fly, and I was like, and also I have been implementing the last two weeks. I started implementing like three times during the week, like Friday, just whenever, even during lunch, whenever I have like a moment, I'll see if I can go in and do a Pilates class for like my abs in my stomach. I don't have abs for my stomach, and it has been so good. Like my lines are kind of popping out a little bit. I need them to go down more, but it's all about the eating. I also have been super like focused on the eating. I haven't been eating like bad at all. I started my meal plans again, so it's already been like two, three weeks of like obviously I'll cheat here and there, and I feel like I'm not like fully, fully locked in, but that's okay. Like, I don't want to, I want to live life, I don't want to be like super just eating the meal plans and that's it. Um, but yeah, I've been noticing the difference and I'm excited to keep going. I feel like I'm you know when you stop and then it's so hard to like get back to it. I feel like I did it, I got back to it, and now I'm like motivated. So yeah, let's talk about hot girl summer, habits that I've implemented, favorite things this summer for me, mindsets, and just talk about everything to have a hot girl summer. I know a lot of us are in our fitness era and I love it so much. I love to see it. We're gonna start with habits, habits that I've been doing and implementing in my life that have helped me feel good, that have helped me in a lot of ways. The first habit that I've been doing this summer is as soon as I wake up with the kids, we go on a walk. We just tell them, like, get ready, who cares what you're wearing, let's just go on a walk. Like, we settle in a little bit in the living room and then we get ready to go on a walk before we even have breakfast sometimes, or sometimes we'll have breakfast first and then go on a walk. Um, but the amount of like motivation and like dopamine, it gives you. I don't know if that's the word dopamine, but like it just gives you like that push that you need to be productive that day. Like, first you wake up, you're tired, you just feel like you know, like you don't want to do anything, but then when you go on a walk and you come back, you're like, whoa, like let me be productive. Like, and then you go outside and it feels so good in the mornings right now. Like, just it's not cold at all, it feels cool, and I just love it so much. With that, then I come home and we make breakfast. I always right now have been into like a high protein breakfast. I'm trying to implement more protein, you guys. Like, you guys need to look into like when I was a newbie at the gym and just new in my health fitness, like I had no idea about food. You guys, it is crazy that I did not know like what I know now. Like, I was eating like bread and like just carbs on carbs and just not really caring. I look back now and I'm like, oh my gosh, like I was so I cannot. But protein is so important right now. I've been so much into cooking a steak with an egg, like an over medium egg, putting salt on your steak, and then with a um toast with butter with sourdough bread. I don't have time to make sourdough. I wish I did. It looks so fun. I really want to try it, but I can't get into another thing. But I just buy my sourdough wherever, and it is so delicious with a little bit of butter, and then I've also been a lot, a lot into fresh orange juice. I need to buy a juice maker, but I either order the juice or buy fresh made juice from like the farmer's market, like fresh orange juice, and in the morning with my breakfast, amazing, it's so good. For the kids, I'll just make them like an egg, maybe a pancake, or even still the sourdough. Um, but for me, I've been loving adding the steak in there, and it's so good. Definitely try it out and add like sea salt, but like the thicker one, you know, like the piedritas, so good, and that has so much protein, it keeps me full. Like honestly, sometimes I have to force myself to eat lunch because the I already ate breakfast and I'm still full, but it really does keep me full, and I intake a lot of protein, and that's one of the things that I've been uh trying to implement more. And I'm not no fitness girl, you guys. Like, I'm not even there yet. Like, I have so much to go, but I've learned more about health stuff, and just eating a high protein breakfast is gonna keep you full and stop having you like crave things and snacks, so that's what I do. I did see carrot juice, like pressed juices. I'm excited to have some more. Um, I know the carrot juice is good, like a green juice, so I've been into those as well. Um, I know the Mitrakana has them, and I know that there's a girl in town that's also like there's a few people that do them, so I am that is something that I want to uh try. The next habit that I do that is so simple and dumb to say sometimes, but it is so important and it's so easy to not do it, it's drinking more water, and it is I feel like dumb even saying it because it's like, oh drink water. But you guys, we really don't be drinking enough water. I made sure that every time that I have a coffee in the morning, I fill up like I have it stuck. So if I have a coffee, I will put ice with water in my hydro jug and then drink some, but that always like I did that have it stuck to help me intake more water. So I definitely have been increasing my water so much this summer, and I also bought on Amazon it is called electrolyte on Amazon, and they have so much different flavors, and it's pretty much like very low calorie, almost zero calorie uh hydration that will keep you hydrated, especially if like I'm working, if you're working out, if anything, it doesn't matter. I will do that in the morning, and then now once I drink that, I'll add more in my hydro jug. And I've been loving my hydro jug with like pebbled eyes. I'm also buying some really cute dazzled cups because I've been super into those. Anything that can help you get it to drink more water, buy yourself a cute like hydro jug or stainly cup. I know uh Home Goods has really good ones and cute ones for like a good price. I love them from there too. And but yeah, drinking more water and making sure that I stick it to a habit. Like I have it stacked, so whenever for me, it's if I drink coffee in the morning, I'm gonna fill out my hydro jug. Yours can be, I don't know, when I make breakfast, whatever, right? But it's a really good habit to start drinking more water, it has so much benefits. I feel like my skin's been better. The I feel like it detoxes me, like I'm going to the bathroom more often. Um, I just feel not so anxious as well. I feel like I totally get my mom now. Like when we were little, my mom would always be like, drink water. Like I'd be like, Me dole la cabeza, toma agua. And now my daughter will be like, my stomach hurts or something. And I'm like, drink water, drink water. Another habit that I feel like I have to mention, but I'm not gonna go deep into it because I've talked about it here before a few times, so I don't want to like be annoying with the same thing. But a habit that I've been doing every single day, and it's been life-changing and so good. It's choosing three things every day, like non-negotiables in my day, and sticking to them, keeping the promises that I made to myself. I guess the habit is keeping promises to myself and choosing three things that I'm gonna do that day, even just one. If it can be just literally one thing if you're barely starting out in your self-improvement era, like tell yourself this one thing is the thing that I'm gonna do that's going to change my life if I do keep doing it consistently. Another habit that I do that I've already made it a whole life, and it's already super like I've been doing it for so long that it is already part of me or part of my life, is I protect my mornings, so I do not make no appointments unless it's absolutely needed and they cannot do any other time, and it's like important, like you know, really, really important that I have to go, then I do not go to it. I protect my morning all the way to 12. I will not make any appointments after 12 for real estate in general because I feel like I need my mornings first with my kids, so that's really important to me. And then not just that, that doesn't mean that I spend all the morning with the kids till 12, but I like to have my morning, like you know, start my morning however I want with my kids, then do the phone calls for my business, do the paperwork, the emails, like just so that I'm not like I created a structure for my life and my business because if not, you will be like a chicken all over the place, and then just feel overwhelmed, stressed. Actually, funny enough, yesterday that I was like that. I told you guys that I was laying here crying, I was like, okay, I need to figure something out because I cannot be this stressed, and so when I start to feel that stressed, I think of like, okay, what am I gonna do about it? What am I doing to add to my routine, right? Or to or remove, anyways, but yeah, so protecting my morning to have a structure live and to make sure that I'm doing like the most important work in the morning and the the work that needs to be done in the business, and then after that, then I'll do um appointments with people in person, right? So that's just for me personally because that's my life. But if like you're not a business owner, maybe you can find a day, like Sunday can be your protective day that you're like, I'm not gonna go anywhere, or I'm not gonna not go anywhere, I'm not gonna do anything because I want to have that day to do this thing that I want to do, or it could be like prep for your week, it could be, you know, whatever it is, is like protect a time that you need for something. I do this in a lot of different aspects, not just after 12. Um, but yeah, I think that's a really good habit. Another habit that I've been doing is saying no a little bit more. I will, especially right now with my kids being out of school, I need to prioritize like exactly what I'm doing, where I'm spending my time. It's like if it's not valuable, important, like I'd rather be with my kids. So I am learning to say no and not in a mean way or anything. And also you don't have to give explanation. Like, obviously, you're gonna prioritize things that are important. Like if it's your friends, I don't know, something really, really important that you feel like it's really important, then I'm not saying to not be there. But I but yeah, when an event or something happens, I ask myself, is this something that I want to go to? Is it bringing me value? Is it bringing me peace, like family time? Like, but learn to say no to things because then you will be busy doing a lot of stuff that is not important. So I think just learning to say no without a huge explanation is something that I've learned, and it's so freeing because sometimes you feel forced to do stuff, and it's like you don't need to give out an explanation, you know. The next one is mindsets, the mindsets that I've been implementing. First one is life is going to always life. I just made that up, but pretty much there's always going to be stuff happening in our life, and I pray that it's nothing, you know, there's some stuff that like you can't do anything, and I'm not saying that, right? But in the daily life, we live we're human, like we live an unperfect life, and things happen. We have families, we have stuff, relationships where our mood will depend on it sometimes, right? And I think understanding that life is always going to life, and there's always going to be things happening. You cannot allow, I mean, you can if you won't. I'm just giving you advice advice, you know. Um, there's always going to be things happening in our life, and we what I do, what I tell myself is be sad for the day, let the emotion happen. Take one rest day, one hour, like you decide what you need, and then move on. There's some things that you cannot move on from as well. But I'm just saying that don't let your emotions determine what your day is gonna look like, what your week is gonna look like. You have to be strong and know that every week there's going to be, maybe not every week, but every few weeks, there's going to be things that happen. Like that's something that I tell my girls and my team as well. Like sometimes I'm still showing up when I'm, you know, going through something with my family. Because there's always like since I can remember, there's been things happening in my life with my family, but I'm not gonna let that stop me from my life. Like, my life is my life, and I I'm in my bubble, and I don't let my things from other stuff affect me. And I don't even know if I'm saying it in like a right way, but allow your emotions to happen, but don't let it determine your entire week or month. Just know that life is going to life, and so that has really helped me in a lot a lot of ways because something will happen, and the next day I'm like, okay, I still have to show up, I still have to do this stuff because I have a family and this is my life. Next thing is listen or read books. I think one of the things that really helps me to keep going because motivation will go away. I listen to an Audible or a book, it just makes me keep going and gives me that little boost to get back into the into the motivation. Sometimes I even push on it or click on because I love audibles. I'll start the audible, even if because sometimes I'm like, oh my gosh, I don't want to listen to this right now because I'm just, you know, you're not motivated, but then I listen to it and then everything changes. Like my mindset, then I want to do stuff, then I want to, so whenever I'm feeling that way, I'll do that. Favorite books right now that I read was Start with Yourself with Emma Graday. I love the Tools of Titan by Tim Ferris. That one's so good. The podcast that I love is Diary of a CEO. The next one is your feelings are valid, but not always true. Sometimes we feel in our head, we create stories in our head where tell yourself something. For example, if you tell yourself I'm behind in life, you're telling yourself your feelings are valid, but that doesn't mean that's true. If you actually look at your life, you're like, I'm actually doing better than I was when I was 18. But just because your thoughts are telling you something, it doesn't mean that it's true. For example, for me, and one of the things that that gets me, because we all have you know our own things. For me, when I post on social media right now, like on Instagram, I'll tell myself, because I'm not posting like a lot of real estate. I tell myself, what if people people are not gonna take me serious in real estate? That's an example. That's my thought, right? That doesn't mean that's true because I've been doing it for a while, and I know that people connect with that. I know that I've still been selling homes and I've been doing that, posting that for like two years and still thriving, where it was just like a belief that I had, you know what I mean? So it's like, don't believe the thoughts that you tell yourself they're valid, but they are not always true. So get out of that. Tell yourself like no, you know, like how I tell myself that is no. I'm still getting business, people trust me more. Like there's always a positive, and sometimes you just need to find that that is not true. Okay, so next is routines that I've been doing that have helped me a lot this summer. Is I already told you guys, I've been implementing Pilates, but still weight training, and there are so many amazing apps. The Sweat app from the app store from like a fitness girl is amazing and it's not that expensive. I do the training with the trainer, I'm very blessed to be able to do that. They also have like online Pilates, the TMR has like an app of like a monthly a monthly fee or per video or YouTube. YouTube was everything to me back in the day doing my workouts there. But those the routine of going to the gym has been so good to me. Like I just wish I would have known about it sooner. I wish I I knew about it, but I never got into it. I just wish I would have started sooner. Um, but you guys get into it, you're gonna love it. This one is taking a day to just be, and no work, no appointments. Like, I want to just be home. I want to chill, I want to make breakfast with my kids, I want to just be. And I've been prioritizing that this summer of adding at least one day out of the week to just relax, do whatever I want. If I want to clean, clean, if I want to organize, organize, and just be home and be, you know, if I want to go outside and garden a little bit or like I don't know, you know, so or order things online, go shopping. And it seems so dumb because a lot of people do it or have, but not really. We we always overpack even like our days off. But for me, I've been wanting to just live in the moment, have a day where I can just hang out and be home. So that's one thing that I've been doing. Another routine that I've been doing, I've been getting facials like every I would say every other month. I know we can't all do this, but when you can, it's definitely a blessing. And it has been life-changing, game changer for me getting a facial like every other month. I feel like I was suffering a lot from like dark pigmentation and just I don't know, like my skin was feeling dark and just dual, dry, ugly. I was not liking how I was looking, and I started getting facials and implementing medical grade skincare, and I I am not wearing a lot of makeup, you guys. Like lately, I have not been wearing a lot of makeup, and this is the most confident I've been with my skin since like high school. Um, and yeah, I'm just so happy with that. I do like a hydrofacial, the derma planing, and then I do a chemical peel as well. The next appointment, I'm actually gonna do micro-needling, I think it is, and I heard that that one's really good, but I've been a lot into just letting my skin breathe and just taking care of my own skin and not wearing so much makeup. So that's a routine that I've started implementing. It is game changer. Another thing that I've been implementing more on the business side is I am focusing on revenue activities only. I am deciding what I need to get rid of. I'm looking at my days and writing down everything I did that day and seeing what I was not supposed to be doing and sending it off to my assistant so that I can only focus on the most important thing and being with my family. Like that's the only thing I should be doing. Revenue activities that are gonna get me more business, more like taking care of my clients, things like that, and then being with my family and sometimes with my friends, right? So, yeah, so the other routine that I've been doing is money check-ins. I have been trying to focus on saving and just taking control of my finances even more, and so every time that I do my Sunday reset, and when I'm because I am protecting my Sundays, by the way, that's one thing that I am protecting for a Sunday reset. I'm looking at my bank statements, I'm asking myself, like, okay, what's like what's what are the goals? I have a goal for the year for the amount of like savings I want to have, and so then I'm doing money check-ins, even if like you know, I'm not saying you have to be making so much money or anything, like just it's so important to look at your bank statements and see like sometimes you'll have dumb charges that you don't know about. You you need to cancel a membership, but you don't sit down and do it, and the money just goes. And I think just having that, even if it's bi-weekly, having that check-in with your bank statements and seeing, like, okay, where am I doing too much? Where is my money just going to the garbage? What can I do? Um, and don't get rid of your coffee, you know. I feel like I need to have an episode of like a money one because I feel like we need our coffee, okay? We're not letting go of that. But, anyways, just having our money check-in to see where we're at and just having control of your finances is important. I know it's such a scary thing, but sometimes looking at it is like you have to look at it so you can have like a reality check of like, okay, I need to get it together, I need to, you know. So, yeah, that's one thing that I've been doing, and it has helped me so much. This is probably this year, honestly, has been the year that I haven't spent on so much dumb stuff. Like, there has been years where I'm just shopping, I'm just buying things that I don't even need at the end, and so I've been more mindful of it now. So, yeah, that's one thing that is really good to do. The routine that I kind of already talked about is prioritizing protein. Everything that I eat, I'm like, does it have protein? If it doesn't have protein, I don't want it. Sometimes I will have like a sourdough with no protein, just like sourdough and um with butter. That's good for me, but I do prioritize to hit my protein goal because it's really important, and it's just a really good habit to get into. You stay fuller, you gain more muscle, you lose weight, like it has so much benefit. So that's a routine that I've been doing of just every time I have a meal, it needs to have protein. Last thing for routines is quality time with my kids. I've been prioritizing just having a few hours in the day of just them time and like putting my phone away and just being with them. I don't, we don't even have to be doing an activity like out, you know, like going somewhere. It could be outside, but we don't have to go to the mall or go somewhere, like we can just spend quality time at home playing a game or just talking, watching a show, like whatever, but prioritizing just more time to be present with them and getting rid of my phone. It's so easy sometimes to be with them, but then still be on your phone, you know. So for me, it's like, no, I want to put my phone away. I put my phone away like in my closet, somewhere where I don't see it or don't hear a call, and then I'm with them for like an hour or two of just like focused time with them. And it's just been nice because then it removes mom guilt, it it's quality time with my kids, and it's just good. I'm gonna end the episode with some of my favorite things right now that I've been loving in the summer and just in general. The first one is fiber. I've been drinking fiber, it's just like a scoop full of fiber in water, and then I use the frother and just drink it, and I drink it every night, and oh my god, you get unbloated, you go to the bathroom, you feel your stomach feels flat, it feels it's a really good one. I got mine at Pack Fitness where I train. They have like a whole little store right there of different things. The next thing is I love love the Kylie skin tint right now. Oh my gosh, I'm wearing it right now. I don't know if it even looks good right now. But the Kylie skin tint, you guys, so good, very thin, does not look oily, good coverage, but not like crazy coverage. Oh my gosh, I love it, especially for the summer. Like, I feel like I'm not wearing, I don't look cakey, it's thin. I definitely recommend. I got myself, um, like I got someone to like give like find my shade, you know, so it was really nice and easy for them to help me. The next thing that I've been loving is my medical skin, my medical grade skincare has been so life-changing for my skin. I should stop saying life-changing, but um, it just really helps like the tone, and I don't know, I've never had better skin than now, other than when I was little. And the next thing that I've been loving is the Huda Beauty Lip Liner Stain. I'm also wearing it right now. I don't know if you guys can see it, but it's pretty much you just outline your lips and you can like ombre it a little bit, and then you put lip gloss over, and it looks so good. I've been super into that look. I've also been loving not wearing mascara, like I've been loving like a clean look that might change. Sometimes I love like a wing liner and like a full beat, so whatever. That's just what I love right now. The next thing that I've been loving is making lattes at home. I still go get my little Starbucks here and there, honestly, all the time, or my matcha, but I've also loved like if I'm craving a coffee, I'll make myself one at home, and they're so good. I have a recipe on TikTok of like my Americano 10 out of 10. I've been loving making them at home. I see a lot of girlies doing like so many different ones. I want to try like the banana ones, just TikTok has really good recipes, so I want to keep making more. I kind of want to get the machine, but no, I can't be. There's always going to be, it's like never-ending things that you want to buy, and I just have free will that sometimes I'm just like, well, I'll buy it. And I'm like, no, like you don't even need it. I have two coffee machines, like, stop. Next thing is I've been loving Matte Pilates, you guys. I love, love, love Matte Pilates. I'm obsessed. I'm gonna keep doing it. If you haven't done Pilates, the Matte Pilates, the TMR, it's it's uh local, it's so good. They're always booked out, but it's so good. Last one is blowouts. I've been obsessed. I don't have blowouts right now, a blowout right now, but I love a good blowout. I sometimes will um because I hate doing my hair, I'll go to the hair salon and get a blowout while I'm working, and it's a win-win. And but I love how my hair looks with a blowout, and I'm just obsessed with blowouts now. Yeah, that is it for today's episode. I hope you guys enjoyed. I hope this is helpful in any way.
