Ultimately, this podcast is a witness and support to people on their journey of remembering, an inspiration for all of us to keep going and a reminder that we are not alone. I'm your host, and today Kinzie is here. Hi, Kenzie. Hello. Um, and you go by Kenzie Rose online and in all your things, right? Yes, Kenzie Rose is my name. So I'm super grateful that you're here today. And I've actually been in a mastermind with Kinzie, taking it from Kinzie. She's been my coach and mentor for the last couple months. And I want you guys to know that because there have just been so many magical moments. I've been in awe of her. And we have kind of a long little like crossing paths history. And these last three months, I have just been like, wow, so grateful, so in awe. Just loving watching your talents and you expand and all the things that you've been doing and the person you are. And so I feel so full and grateful that you'd come on here and record with me today.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Crystal. It's been so much fun, as I tell you every time we have a mastermind call, to lead you and guide you over these past couple months. And yeah, as Crystal said, we've had we have a we've known each other for lifetimes, probably, and not just for so many years in this life, but it's just been so cool to grow together, honestly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So beautiful. So what I do at the beginning, and I know you've already been meditating, is we'll just tune in for a minute if you'd be willing to join us. That gives me and the listeners, all of us, really, some time to just set the container. So if you're in a place where it's safe to do so, um, I'll invite you to close your eyes and just take that first intentional breath. Really noticing what you hear or even smell, or what you're feeling in different places in your body. And then today let's let that sort of release and relaxation travel down from your third eye through your throat into your heart and your belly, feel into your legs, wiggle your toes, press down where your feet meet the ground beneath them. And just a deep remembrance that we're all human and we all have this same tool, the same access to the spirit, and none of us have any more answers than anyone else. Curiosity and listening, and then bringing back some of the wonder and awe and just how beautiful life is. So we'll take three breaths, three honest breaths here, letting your belly relax on each breath. And if you had your eyes closed, when you come to that third breath, just blink your eyes open slowly, as if you're seeing again for the first time the colors, the texture, maybe noticing something in the room around you you hadn't seen before, and come back.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Crystal. You always do the most beautiful meditations.
SPEAKER_01They're just they're quick and easy. And if you are a meditator and you've sort of honed this practice, I've noticed I can drop in. I noticed at the beginning of a meditation practice when someone would do something like that, I would be like, You're crazy. I just barely started listening to your voice. I don't feel any more calm. But the more I've practiced, the more I've noticed you can drop in so quickly and you just need a couple seconds. So that's my disclaimer today to plug meditation for anyone listening. I love it. Um, I know Kenzie actually is a professional meditator, right?
SPEAKER_00I love meditating. I wouldn't say that I am a perfect meditator, but I do try to do it at least once a day just because I notice that I move so fast, right? Like I'm I feel so excited about the work they do. I feel so excited about life that I'm just like and then it's like meditation 20 minutes a day to just sit in stillness is just like medicine to my soul. So it's me and my God time. Me and God, we hang out.
SPEAKER_01I love that. Thank you. I'm wondering if you'd be willing, and maybe it has a meditation flavor, to share with my listeners a little bit about your journey into the healing world. So actually, let me correct really quick. How would you want to be introduced right now? And I know that's always changing, but what do you want us to know about you and how do you most identify right now? And then I can ask you that question of a little bit of a journey from there to here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um, this is a funny question because it changes all the time. And really, I'm just Kenzie Rose. And Instagram, I I love Instagram. Instagram won't let me change my tagline. So it says personal brand alchemist, so it will, it just won't let me change it. So I think that's just me. I'm like, okay, I guess I'm forever a personal brand alchemist. And so yeah, that's how I like to be introduced. But I was working on my bio, and because you know, sometimes people like want to be so professional, or we want to like have this. I'm a content creator, or I'm a coach, or I'm a healer, or whatever. And it's like, really, I am. I wrote, I'm a boy mom and I'm a believer in galactic unicorns. So that's who I am.
SPEAKER_01That's amazing, and that is all-encompassing. So I really love that. And it also kind of reframes my question because you were always that. But I wonder if you'd be willing to share some parts of the journey that yeah. Um, some parts of your journey that are just really relatable, that we've all gone through, like places of not really remembering that's who we are, um, and places you've worked before. I think that your professional career journey is super interesting. Um, and so I think people will find that interesting going from being a nurse and going to school to doing this kind of work. So, what's on your heart to share there? Because your story's really inspirational.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Crystal. So, okay, I got pregnant when I was 21 and I to somebody who I wasn't in a relationship with. And so then I had this little baby, right? And I had to figure out how to take care of him. And so I decided, well, you know, I guess I'll just follow the path and I'll just do what people tell me to do, which was to become a nurse and then to become a nurse practitioner, and then I would make enough money and you know, I would be able to live the life and I would be able to support my child, and I would be able to do the things that you're supposed to do as a human, right? And so I did it. I did it all. I went to school and then I became so my first job was working in the NICU with a little tiny babies, and that brought on, I thought it was gonna be like a dream job for me, but it really brought a lot of like depression and anxiety, and it wasn't the dream job. And so I moved over, I was like, okay, we'll find something else. And so I went over into I started doing mental health nursing. And I thought I learned a lot in mental health nursing, but it also was uh really intense for me. Like there was a lot of really intense experiences, and when you're working as a nurse, like inpatient with mental health patients, it's just it's a lot. And so then I moved over and I started doing Botox nursing or aesthetics nursing. And that's when I went to get my master's degree, and I was gonna get my master's degree in mental health nursing because at the time I had started all that depression and anxiety that had started to really show up for me. I started discovering psychedelics and really working with psychedelics to heal that. And so as I was working as a aesthetics nurse, I was going to school to get my um mental health nurse practitioner degree. And I got really into like psychedelic medicine and I started really like exploring that. It was, it was like my era of it was like I was like my Rom Doss, uh Timothy Leary, like just going down rabbit holes and like going to ayahuasca journeys and like determined to heal. Because I think before, you know, I grew up in this life, there was a lot of stuff that happened as I was growing up, right? And that was starting to come to the surface. Like, we gotta heal this, we gotta move past this. This is really like we're really dysregulated, right? And so I started doing all this healing with psychedelics, and it was a lot of fun, and I started going to ayahuasca ceremonies and traveling to the jungle and doing all this healing work. And so I was like, I'm gonna get my degree because then I can legally give and support people with these medicines because I started believing in them so much. And but then as I was doing all that, and right when I was about to, I was when you go to become a nurse practitioner, you have to go to school, and then you have to go to you have to do like a year of clinicals where that's like you're giving people medicine and prescribing meds and doing what you would do as a nurse practitioner. And I was in the jungle at an ayahuasca ceremony, and in that she basically just opened up the textbook. When I say she, I mean ayahuasca. She basically opened up the textbook and just showed me how this is not my journey and how everything in my life that I've built up until now is, and I just remember feeling at the time like I have everything that anybody could want. Like I have this relationship, I have, I live in this amazing home, I have this awesome kid, I have this degree, like I have all the things that you're supposed to have. That back when I first had my baby, I was like, the this is gonna make me happy, and I wasn't. And so that's why I originally went to that ayahuasca journey was like, okay, my intention was like, show me how to be more grateful for this. And uh, because I was feeling guilty. And she showed me, she's like, This life isn't yours. That's why you're not grateful. There's nothing wrong with you. You don't need to fix yourself, but this is not for you. And I was like, uh, what do you mean? Uh and she like opened the textbook and she's like, This goes against all of your values. Like, you can't be doing a life where you're prescribing people these medicines because you've just been on this whole journey getting off these medicines. Because before I had my baby, I was on every medicine you could imagine. And like Xana, like just everything, right? Trying to figure out how to just cope with life. And she's like, and so I got off all of that, and she's like, You don't believe in this, like, you can't be going and doing this, even though you're going to do it eventually. You want to do psychedelics, like, you have to do a year of clinicals of prescribing people, SSRIs and benzos and all these things that you don't believe in, and you can't do that. And I was like, Okay, and so then I came home and I I just kind of ignored that. I was like, Well, we're just not gonna pretend that didn't happen, but once you see what you see, you can't unsee it. And so that's when COVID happened. And when COVID happened, I my partner at the time was my boss, and I said, I'm not gonna get the vax. And he said, Well, then you can't work here, and then I said, Well, then I guess this relationship doesn't work either. And so literally overnight, it was like I didn't have a place to live anymore, I didn't have a job, and I had a seven-year-old holding my hand, like, what are we gonna do? Right, and so I didn't have any savings. That wasn't a thing that I did, right? And so I had to figure out what to do, and so I went and I found an apartment, I found a roommate, and we started, you know, living together. And I was like, okay, what am I gonna do? I had no idea, like, what am I good at? And so, but I remembered in that journey, ayahuasca told me, she said, because I was kind of freaking out, right? And she said, Don't worry, you're gonna get on the internet and you're gonna be a coach and you're gonna teach people how to live their best lives. And I was like, what are you talking about? Like, I have a master's degree, like, I'm not gonna be a coach. Like, that's back then I had this stigma against coaches, right? Like, anybody can be a coach, that's for not for the educated people like me. And so then um, I was like, Well, I may as well try that. So I started getting online and I started, this is back in 2020, I started like doing like these funny dances with my son. I just remember he's like, Mom, what are we doing? I'm like, stand here in this video, and I'm gonna dance, and you're gonna stand here and smile. And he's like, Okay. And so we would just make these dances, and it was like so cringe. And I remember I started like, okay, we're gonna take everything that we know from mental health and we're gonna just help people anyway. And so I got on, and I was also really into this thing called human design. And so I mixed human design with microdosing, microdosing psilocybin, and I mixed them together, and this was my coaching program. And so I created this microdose and uh human design coaching program, and that was my very first coaching business, and so it was really slow. And as I was building that, I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to make money online. I was like, this is so hard. And you know, I was like telling people like I'm gonna help you embody your divine inner goddess, and like well, I don't know what that means, but that was what I was gonna help you do, and nobody was buying it. So I was like, shit, like I have to pay rent, I gotta buy my kid food. Like, what am I gonna do? And so, and like that feeling is just it's so sticky because it's just like you literally have another human being dependent on you to figure it out, right? And you don't have I didn't have like any financial support from anybody, so it was just me and my kid, and we had my cat Zelda at the time too, and so is S3 at the time, and so I was like, well, I gotta figure out how to do this, I'm not gonna go back and get a job. So I started to dive into marketing, I started to dive into like how can I learn how to actually sell my stuff, and as I started to dive into marketing, I started to realize, wow, I really like this. And then I started just becoming like obsessed with it and like spending all of my time studying marketing and figuring out marketing. And so once I did that, then my business started to really skyrocket in not in terms of like follower growth, but in terms of clients. And so I started getting a bunch of clients because I started really working on my marketing. And so then from there, now today, I guess you could call me a marketing coach if we want to just sum it down to one thing, but that's what I do because I fell in love with this art of marketing. And really, like when I look at the through line of everything, it's like as a nurse, I was helping people. And then as this microdosing coach and human design coach, I was really helping people learn how to trust who they are. And then now it's like I'm helping people not only trust who they are, but create financial freedom being who they are. And so that's really what I do now. And so the through line really is like self-trust to financial freedom. That's that's what I help people do, is create self-trust so that you can self-trust, self-expression, financial freedom, right? Trust yourself enough to express who you are in a way that people understand so you can get paid for being you and doing what you love. So that's what I do now.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that is so cool and so magnetic. And it is just so easy to see when you talk what you're embodying now, you know, from that story. There were so many pieces in there, but it's just so easy to believe you and feel it, you know, and see that embodiment because of what you've gone through. And I think that's something, like I said, that's so magnetic because there are so many places, and me included, so many places in my life, which is why I wanted to do this with you this year, where there's like a gap between that, what you want to be and what you want to feel, and how to access it. And it also sounds like uh, and you can tell me if I'm wrong, but have you always had that gift of really seeing people? Um, because I know a lot of your journey is like, yes, you heal yourself. And as you heal yourself, you're able to offer that gift more freely and more purely to the world. But it seems like you have a gift to really see people and their authenticity too, and see where their rough edges are and see where their blocks are. Have you always had that gift?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So before I did this as a job, I would get into relationships with people. And how I can best describe it is it's like I would see this other person and it's like this hologram of them. And then I would see them at their highest expression. And then, so it's almost like I was seeing through the lens of potential. And then I was like, I'm gonna make this person into what I see them. And that didn't work out for me in relationships. And so that's why I was like, okay, and it actually got me into a lot of trouble in relationships because relationships aren't for you to coach the other person, they're for you to be in relationship with the other person. And what I was doing is essentially like seeing through this lens of potential and really loving this person based off of who I wanted them to be and or who I saw that they could be. And that would cause friction and conflict because it wasn't in the right container. And so I didn't realize that at the time. I just was like, well, why wouldn't you want to be your highest expression? Like, why would you not like me to tell you all the things that you're doing wrong so that you can do better? And like, isn't this a gift? Like, I'm helping you, okay? I love you this much. I'm gonna tell you all the things you're doing wrong so you can be better, okay? Um, but then it was like I learned that this is a gift. This is a gift when it's in the right container. And when somebody comes to you and they really when you I I've had to learn through a lot of experiences that this gift of seeing is not just something you just freely give to people. It's this, it's a gift that in order for somebody to be able to receive, they have to come first and ask for it. That's what I've learned. And because this all-seeing eye, it's like I call a lot of my clients call me like a queen of mirrors. Like I have this ability to just show up so authentically, me, that it shows you all the places where you are not currently being that for yourself. And a lot of times people don't love looking in the mirror. And so it depends on the person, but that can be like it it creates this repellent. Effect for some people, and this is where we go back to human design because I'm a manifester in human design. It's like some people are really repelled by that. Like, I don't want to see that mirror. And then that turns into a projection of like you got all these things going on, Kenzie. And I have just learned to, in the past, I used to really take that on. Like I grew up really with this just limiting belief that, you know, I didn't fit in with people. I grew up in Utah. I was the only non-Mormon girl. And so it was like, what's wrong with me? Like, why can't I be like everyone else? Why don't I fit in? Right. Why do people, why do I ruffle people's feathers? I don't know about human design either. And it's like through this journey, I've learned to not take on that projection, right? Not take that on, but hold steady in the mirror and just allow people to experience that without trying to control your perception of me. And that's a really powerful gift. And so that's something now that I don't I've learned that you don't go around to random people giving that, even though it just happens. But I save that for my coaching containers because it's really, really powerful medicine for my people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's a great explanation. I love how much self-awareness you have around the different stages of working with that gift, as we all do, as we all find out from our own gifts. One other thing, yeah. And thank you for just, you know, being so direct and clear about it because it's inspirational to start thinking, where is that in our in our lives that may just be in the wrong container? We just need to learn a little bit more about ourselves. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Like before I got to this place, it was like that gift, it's like an I alchemized it, right? That was my greatest pain, right? Like, why is there so much conflict? Why, why can't, you know, I would see things about people and but then nobody else saw. And even as a child, I remember being like, hey, like telling my mom, like, I don't really like that person, or I don't want that person around. And you know, it'd be like my mom's friend or something. And it was like, shh, shh, stop, stop. Like, don't, don't talk. Or and then when I grew up and got into relationships, it was like, why is there always a problem? Why do you always have a problem? And but now it's like once you find the right people for your gifts, nobody ever thinks I have a problem. Everyone just understands, like, oh, Kenzie sees a better way. And so she has this gift of making things better. And so let's let's pay her for that instead of let's get mad at her for that, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And it's what you touched on is so important because it's the way you're expressing it, right? And the awareness around how you're expressing it. And that's one thing that you've helped me with on really seeing a discrepancy at this point in my life where I'm ready to see it and accept it and work on what I'm presenting and how that's coming across and being so confused about why people aren't seeing me for me, or it's getting interpreted in the wrong way because of the messages I'm sending and how I'm holding that energy and how I'm presenting it, that I couldn't, I couldn't see that that's the message I was sending until you were able to open that up. And now it's such a beautiful gift because the more I can keep aligning my vulnerability and my expression with more truly who is me, of course that will come across. And of course, the right people will find it. And there will be less of that contrast and all those gritty experiences in there. And that's it's such a good point. But like you said, you have to be ready for it. You have to be asking for it, or it's gonna do no good. It's gonna do the opposite. And there's another thing I really admire about you, and I think I've told you this before. And I wonder if you'd be willing to talk about some of those really difficult moments in your journey. Because I have also been there, girl. Like I have been a single mommy, no food in the fridge, no gas to put in my car to get to work, like some just some deep, really fearful, terrifying, um, dig deep, all alone moments, I think, which I think are beautiful. And I'm so grateful for everyone because those are the, those are the alchemical moments. Um and I wonder if you'd be willing to share, like, how did you get through those? And what, and what was it then that kept you going? And what is it now that keeps you going through some of that feedback and some of that difficulty? Because I know it's still hard, right? I know you're still a single mom. I know we're still women who are dealing with difficult things and feeling alone and bearing an emotional burden every single day that a lot of times we don't see.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yes, I am. I think I've mastered the skill of being a single mom, luckily. And but it was really rocky for a lot of years. And really what got me through is because there was moments when I was literally homeless. Like I never lived in the streets, not that kind of homeless, but like I'm, you know, bunkering up at people's houses with my kid and my cat, or like having to send my cat places, or having to send my kid places, or having to like just and go like get like a janky Airbnb and just like so I had a place to sleep for the night or whatever, right? And um, and being on food stamps. I was on food stamps for until my kid was like seven or eight, and he's 13 now, and just really like the one thing though is I just remember looking at my son and being like you I have you for a reason because for a long time I felt like he was like a burden, like my life would be easier if I didn't have to take care of you. And but then one day I think him just being there for me and loving me no matter what through all of it was like I just remember looking at him one day and being like, I will make sure that you have everything that everybody told me I won't be able to give you because I'm a single mom, because I chose to keep you when I was 21, because I chose to quit my stable career that's supposed to make me rich and all that didn't do all those things. Um, you know, but that everybody told me, and I'm gonna do it. And so that was, I think for a long time, my motivator was honestly not the best because it was like, I'll prove to all of you that I can do it, and so that brought me so freaking far that motivation to prove. It was just like I will prove to you that I can make the most money, the fastest, that I can do this, that I can build the best business ever, and that I don't need to follow any rules, and that I can just be me and it's gonna work. And that was really my energy that I came from. And it was about uh probably a year or so ago, really, I started to see how that energy of proving came from this frequency of lack, and what was behind that was just so much anger, right? And what I've learned about frequency and energy is anything that's rooted in the frequency of lack is just gonna attract more of that, and so if I wanted to expand more, I was gonna have to move past the anger towards the people in my past and forgive them for my own growth, right? And so that's what maybe the last year and a half has been is really healing those feelings of anger and through allowing myself to be in spaces where I'm allowed to express that anger in a way that it's held in a safe container with love instead of what I experienced in the past, where it makes people leave, move away from me. And so I think that's been one of the biggest catalysts for me in the last year and a half is being in rooms where I'm able to express how I really truly feel without it scaring somebody, without it, because I feel things extremely deeply, and this is why I'm really good at marketing too, is that my ability to then express that out, how exactly how I feel, is big, is big. And so I found these mentors, Preston and Alexi, who are able to hold that and not only hold it, but love that and allow me to be in that so that then now I don't feel those things anymore. It's like it's just I don't feel angry, I don't feel I I understand why someone would do I have compassion for the people who have maybe not been there in the way that I wanted them to be there for me. And that feels like so light. And I just think that's so important for people to it's like because feelings get buried in your body, and if you never find a place, whether that's a mastermind, whether that's an in-person experience where you're allowed to just be how you feel without having to apologize, and you can just move that through your body, it's it's an incredible gift.
SPEAKER_01Wow, that is so important, and I'm so glad you're speaking about that because there are just so many places that a lot of people are still holding on to. Think like listening to you say that, being like, yeah, and where are those safe spaces? And the really, really important message you're saying that if you haven't done that for yourself, there's no way to skip that step and then be that for someone else, or be able to fake not feeling that anger or having those repressed emotions or misunderstanding about yourself, right? There's there's no way to get by it. If it's rooted in some of those frequencies, you will attract more of those frequencies, to quote you. And so it is just so important to heal yourself first. What is your current um wisdom on what place in people's business do the healing arts serve? Like where, how should we think about that in our business?
SPEAKER_00Well, for the people that I work with, tend to work with, is I tend to work with coaches, healers, and light workers. So people like me who have spent 10, 20 years healing. And so we obviously we're human beings. The healing is gonna happen forever, like such as to be a human being. That's what it means, right? And so I'm never gonna be someone who's like, I'm fully healed, like I'm just a human being, right? And and but I think a pattern that I got into and that really held me back financially and just success-wise, is I actually posted about this yesterday, is we I think the coaching industry has created like this generation of women who every time something doesn't go right, then we have another wound to heal. And it like my launch didn't sell out, my offer isn't selling, I'm scared to post on social media. I must have all these wounds to heal. There are definitely people, because I work with coach sealers and light workers, like definitely like their clients need their work. My clients tend to be the ones who don't need more of that work. You actually need to learn that. So I would call that like 5D. Healing is like 5D work, right? Energetic work. Marketing, on the other hand, since we are healers and light workers, and woo, we love to be in the energy, right? Meditate and all the things. Marketing is like 3D, it's boring, it's like, ugh, that's hard to learn. It's like it's heavier, right? Because it's a 3D thing. And where the energy is like, marketing has a frequency of like, mmm, it's like you gotta, it's a skill to learn, just like yoga, just like meditation, just like walking, right? It's a skill you have to learn. And it's not something that's like innate for people. And so I think that that's the greatest wisdom that I get to give my specific people right now is it's probably not another wound to heal. If you're wanting to make money online from your social media, which is what I help people do, is turn your content into clients, is if you want to do that, then learn how to market. It's as easy as that, but so many people avoid it because it's an art. It it really is, is like it's just like I avoid painting. I'm like, I'm not good at that. I don't want to learn that. That's hard. And it is, it is, right? But it will make you a lot of money and it will allow you to share your gifts with a lot more people if you can learn that skill.
SPEAKER_01That's that's just a really cool take. I did watch your reel, by the way, and I loved every second of it because it's a balance, it's a balance. And like you, I've been in the world for such a long time that it seems like you're describing an arc, a time and place. Things are right depending on the timing and and what you need and how to come back into balance. And so I I do love that you're highlighting the space that a lot of us are in now. Um, I am in community with a lot of women who are going through like their midlife transitions and things, right? And so it is a time where there's enough wisdom and healing under their belts a lot of times. Um, and it's a funny place because I wouldn't have said we were gonna get here before I was here. I didn't know that before it was all about the healing. And so there was no like roadmap telling you, but there's gonna come a point where you now need to bring other things into balance. And so it's really fun being here. And it's really fun listening to you highlight that and talk to um the parts of us that are 3D. And some of that does need some support, right? It does need a coach, it does need some encouragement to be like, you can do this. And maybe you were never told that. Maybe you, maybe that's maybe some of the healing work is to get in with the grit, do the work, do the learning, right? Like maybe it does mean get a degree, maybe it does mean whatever, but that would be where the support is more needed, like you said, as opposed to flying out in, you know, the 5D and learning more about where your ancestors came from and, you know, what you identify with and all of these other things. They're both very important, but it sounds like what you're highlighting is the timing. And I do love to expand this timing. Doesn't mean we're ignoring the rest of it because, like you said, uh, we can show up in those spaces when people need healing now. And it's very important to discern and say, actually, this is a piece you do need to go look at, right? This is affecting everything you do. And at the same time, give it the beef and the foundation and the 3D part that is needed. And it's it's just such a beautiful life lesson. So I love that you're highlighting it. So thank you for that because it's like you are really brilliant at encouraging people and seeing them because of the work you've done to be like, girl, okay, you can do this now, right? You can learn these stills. Like, get up off your cross-legged butt in ceremony and go do something in the world. Like make it worth something now.
SPEAKER_00Yes, yes. Like you've done the work. You've done the work. So now learn the skill that's gonna help you get to where you want to go, actually, because it's like just sitting there and just feeling the frequency of abundance and like feeling like I'm really healed. It turns out that doesn't make you a lot of money if that's your goal, right? And me as a single mom, I gotta, I gotta be the provider and the nurturer, right? And so it's like that that's my goal. And ironically, is I say this all the time, is learning marketing was like personal development on 20 cups of ayahuasca. It was like because it's like this really deep shadow work because marketing is really like your best asset is you. It's you, it's your lived experience. And so when we go into marketing, it's not like we're making up some random words that are gonna, you know, make you feel like weird and like, I don't know if I can sell this. It's like, no, we're actually literally going through your lived experience because a lot of times our dream clients are us in a different version of life. And so then we have to go back and we have to look and we have to be like, what was I feeling then? What was what was the first thought I woke up in the morning? What was keeping me up at night? What could I not stop thinking about? What did I wish? What did I think I couldn't have? Like, and and you have to go back and you have to look at that. And that is like excavating. And most of my clients, like, they're like, I get what you mean. Once they work with me, they're like on marketing, they're like, I get what you mean. Like this is this is deep, and it is, and it's not just yes, it's very 3D, but also it's like, and it's this healing journey because you get to look back, like I get to look back at me when I was like, come and give my all with me. I don't know. And I get to be like, I love that girl because she's why I'm here. And also I love her because I see all of my people in her. And I know how to help you, not because I went to school and became a marketing master, but because this is actually my life. This is what I, my own lived experience, this is what I had to learn to get to where I am. It's and I think that's what sets me apart because there's so many like business coaches who, you know, they went to university and they got their masters and just like I did for nursing, right? And that's great. And that's their unique advantage. But mine is like my lived experience. I went from homelessness to building a million-dollar brand by learning marketing, which is really cool.
SPEAKER_01And I actually think that's another one of your gifts. And so I just I love hearing you talk about it. And the way that you can hold space and love so many people I've seen you love just speaks to the fact that you have loved every single version of yourself, or you wouldn't be able to do that. And your talent, I think, uh, as well, is living it all embodied and integrated. And that was one of my words in our mastermind. My last of my three words was embodied. And I think you do that really well. And I think I saw this on another thing you posted where you were like, okay, and the reason I'm doing all this and built all this is not so that I can be in that all the time, but so that I can actually live and enjoy my life. Like, remember why I was working so hard to do all this. And when I heard you say that, I was like, yeah, that is another one of your gifts, is wherever you are, you seem to be all there and you really are. And I have a lot of listeners. In fact, I think most of my listeners are mamas. And so I wonder if you'd be willing to share with us too, like what has that meant? How do you balance the embodiment? Is it complementary or is it or do you compartmentalize the parts where you're a mama and you're present and your business?
SPEAKER_00I definitely have to compartmentalize. I think I love my work so much that sometimes I could just do it until 2 a.m. and then wake up and I'm like, let's do it again. And so I'm so grateful. However, I have a little guy who's not so little, he's a giant guy now. He could wake up at any moment and you might see a giant. Teenager walking, like because you know he always is so cute. He just comes to me and gives me a hug first thing in the morning. And but how I balance it is it's different in the summer, obviously different as he gets older. But when he goes to school is when I work. And when he's home, that's when I try to, I'm not perfect again, but I try to not be working. And as he gets older, something that I am teaching him is he really loves to create like video edits, like on Cap Cut. And so I have been teaching him my way of how I want my videos edited. And so that he can learn the skill because he's 13. Because you can make a lot of money if you like to edit videos and you know how to do it in the right way. So I'm teaching him, and so I've been telling him, like, hey, we can help each other, right? Because he's like, well, I want to earn my, I want to buy all these things. And I'm like, great, you're you can manifest that, you can create that for yourself, just like I've created our entire life for myself. But I'm not going to give it to you because when I was growing up, everything was just given to me. And then when I came into this stark reality of single motherhood, and I was like, wait, you have to pay for things? I had no idea. Like literally didn't know that you had to pay for things. And that's a start, like, boom, right? And so I was just like, oh my God. And put me into like so much survival mode. And I'm determined, I'm like, you will never live that way because you're gonna learn. And so, you know, I'm like, okay, vacuum the stairs, you get three dollars. He's like, I can't buy anything with that. I'm like, then you gotta learn a better skill. It's the same thing that I teach my clients. Like, you gotta learn a skill if you want to get paid more money. And so he's like, okay. So I'm like teaching him how to edit videos, which is gonna be great for my brand. I'm like, this is gonna elevate my brand and I'll pay you. And he's like, okay. And so it's like we get to be this team together, and it's like he is, I'm I'm so grateful for him now. Like he is my buddy, he he's my buddy. And we just we do life together. We we grew up together, we're still growing up together, and his little soul chose me at the time that it did, with the dad that it did for what the universe, God, God doing God things that we'll never understand on this planet. But what I do know now is he is my why. Like I will show him how to be someone who has exceptional skills at what he does so that he can always, so that he never has to carry that survival that I had to carry. And so that he always can create this, and he never has to go through doing all the things that you're supposed to do to find your way. It's like, I how cool is it for him that he gets to see this mom who does what she loves, who gets to be there for everything, who gets to take him to school, who gets to pick him up, who gets to provide for him, who gets to nurture him, who gets to love him, who gets to show up for him, who gets to be present with him. And we get to have the financial freedom that we want. And so that's really cool. And another thing that I'm teaching him now, this is just last night, is like how to be a man, right? In the best way that I can, because I'm not a man at all. But it's like he keeps leaving the door unlocked at the front door. And then I'm like, excuse me, like you have cats and uh a woman in the house. Like you need to be a protector. He's like, Oh, I didn't know. I'm like, now you do go lock the front door. And so, and just like little things like that, right? Is like, I think what I've learned with just parenting on my own is a lot of times, like we grow up as kids, and this is kind of a tangent, but we grow up as kids, and I just remember like my mom being like, you're being such a brat, or like you're being so rude, or like you're being so ungrateful. And just as a kid being like, I don't, I don't feel that way. So I don't know what she's talking about, right? And because I was like not meaning to be that way, and I noticed, like, I do think like well, you know, like, and so I I noticed I started doing that with him, like, you're you're having an attitude, and he's like, No, I'm not, like literally, no, I'm not, and I'm like, what do you mean, you know? And then so, but I learned like with children, we get to literally show them what they're doing. If we just tell them, hey, you're having an attitude, it's not they're not having an attitude even more when they're like, I don't know what you're talking about, right? They're like, they literally don't know what you're talking about. And so it's like I started showing him, like, you know when you go like this and you talk like that that's what I mean. And he's like, Oh I'm like, yeah. Do you like when I talk? No, I when I go like that, and he's like, No. And I'm like, yeah, I don't like that either. And so for a relationship to work, we have to have trust. And when we treat each other like with an attitude like I just showed you, or when we're dishonest, or when we don't support each other by like me, I buy you food, I give you clothes, I give you shoes, I sign you up for soccer, taekwondo, I do all the things that you want. And so what I need is I need you to lock the door. I need you to be kind in your words to me. I need you to be loving in your attitude, and I need you to listen to me when I tell you that you're not doing those things, because I would never lie to you and just say that you're doing these things just to bug you, like a promise. I wouldn't do that. And and so we have to trust each other. And I think that goes for any relationship, but he happens to be my partner that I'm practicing that with right now. And so grateful that he's given me this gift because eventually, when I do find uh my partner, partner, then I have like this rock solid relationship with my son, which is just feels like such a gift because I didn't have that as a teenager. I didn't have a mom who I could go to and be like, shh, I effed up and who I could be held and like okay, okay, not nah, no bueno. So we gotta fix this. I had you know a parent who just goes down on you, right? And it's like and you're terrified, and then you just and so now I get I so I'm so grateful for him. All that to say I'm so so grateful, and it's such a gift, and that's how I just kind of balance it is like I treat him like yes, he's my son, but also like we're in relationship to each other. We have to learn how to live together and function together, and I'm here to support you, and you gotta show up in your own way too, right? That's such an important skill to teach kids is how to be in relationship with one another, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes, yes, I love what you're saying, and it sounds like you're saying the balance is in just embodying it and living it, like you are treating every part of your life like it's important and giving it attention and intention and using those skills. I was once told when I was a single mom, quality over quantity first. And second, the best thing you can do is continue to work on you because that will just sort of be a symptom. It will automatically show up in everything you do. So instead of trying, trying, trying, just embody the things that you've learned. And it sounds like that's exactly what you're saying. All the work you've done, all the skill you've learned to be in relation with yourself and with people is now serving you because you can be in relationship with your business and with your son in an authentic, honest, balanced way because you've learned that within yourself. And it's just so cool and so beautiful to hear. This is the important question I love to ask at the end. If we could tap into just some of your Kenzie magic, something that I know you said you were meditating to be a beautiful channel and you have been right before this podcast. What's coming through for you that we could all benefit from? Like, what's the best advice you could give us for us to be able to feel some of what you're feeling, the embodiment, the learning, the excitement, the the real skills, you know, the healing and the bravery to be our authentic selves? Love that question.
SPEAKER_00If you are really wanting to embody more authenticity, stop trying. Just be as you are. And I think so often we we think we need to look better. We gotta like I gotta do something a little better, right? And that held me back because what humans connect with is humans, not perfection. Like if you think of and and tell your story, tell, talk about the things that you don't want anyone to know. Talk about that because I guarantee you there is somebody else listening to you, whether that's on the screen or in real life, wherever you're trying to connect with people, that is also hiding that same thing. And what that does is that creates connection, it creates trust, just like I was talking about with my son, right? When we can be like, actually, I'm just a human being. Instead of like, okay, I gotta be so put together, I gotta say this the right way, I gotta do the right thing, I gotta have a script for this podcast, I gotta know what Crystal's gonna ask me. Let's just like keep loosen your butthole. Like, literally loosen your butthole and just and and practice. It's reps, right? Like people ask me, like, how are you so authentic on camera on social media? Well, you should have seen me five years ago. I was like, boo, right? I I literally talk like this, and I was like, And so it's like come back into your body, like notice what happens when you go to speak or when you go to be, you know, connect with somebody else, and when you go to be the embodiment of what you are, when you go to share your magic, whatever it is, it's like notice what comes up because there's thoughts that are gonna happen. What are those thoughts? Those thoughts are the thoughts that you want to pay attention to because that's what's holding you back, right? And can you get out of that and can you just come back into the body? And can you just trust that you as you are are so perfectly enough? Like it it's just crazy how perfectly enough you are right here, right now, and there's no right way to do it. It's just what is and I know that probably sounds like poetry because it is, but really like in tangible terms, practice practice, practice, practice. It the society has made it so it's not really easy to be authentic. Marketing, the big marketing people have made it so we all all of us women think we need to have myself included, we need to have the perfect face and the per like we just need to be perfect, otherwise, we're not enough, and that's so false. It is so false. And once you can really get your body to believe that, you're gonna take off.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for that. Thank you. Stop trying. And all of the things you just said, I'm gonna rewind and probably listen to three times. I don't know if you know this, but sometimes when you leave me Marco Polo's or say things like that, I record it and then I put it in my little notes. And when I have a bad day, or like when I got knocked off my horse, like literally, I actually got run over by a horse on Monday. And it was my fault because I made uh I made a bad choice. Like I pushed, I pushed too much. When I could see the situation, probably called for de-escalation. And I was like, we're gonna try one more time. And then try one more time. Exactly. And I literally got run over by a horse. And so I like felt like my entire day got literally knocked off. And I pulled up one of your polos that was talking about the authenticity and these things. And I got in my car because I had to drive to be somewhere and I listened to you give one of those TED talks like that. And by the time I got there, I was back in my body. So you have a gift for these things, and I love that you've learned, done the work you needed to do, learned the things you needed to learn so that you can give us this gift. Um, and in case you guys don't know, she gives us uh a lot of free gifts on her social media right now. And so, will you tell everyone how to find you? Where do you want to send people and how can they find you to work with you, listen to you more, be in that energy? Because it is a gift. And I just can't say thank you enough.
SPEAKER_00Yes. Thank you, Crystal. And I just want to say thank you for telling me that because that has always been a dream of mine. I remember when I first came in to I was gonna do all this. I was like journaling and manifesting, like, what am I gonna see? And it was that it was like I knew I had all this wisdom, but I wasn't around, like I was talking about, I wasn't around the right people to receive it. And so I remember writing down like I'm women are going to take my words and they're gonna use it in hard times and it's going to help them. And like, it's literally happening, and which is just such a gift. Like, that is just like it's just like my soul is just like so happy. So thank you. And you can find me on social media. My social media is at IamKenzie Rose, and I'm sure Krista will link it with this podcast and um come there. That's the best place to find me. That's where I hang out all the time. I'm such an Instagram girly. I'm obsessed with it because it's changed my life. And so I will always tell you if you have a gift, if you have anything that you know that you are passionate about, you can make money doing that. You don't have to live your life doing things that you don't like. You can literally take what you love, make money from that, and create the life that you love and help other people create what they want too. So it's a win-win. So if that's something that you're wanting to do, come find me on social media and I'd love to support you.
SPEAKER_01Well, thank you. Thank you again so much. I used to end my podcast with Namaste. I need to find a better word. So write in the comments if you have some word that just expresses gratitude and amazingness and follow Kinsey and thank you again.
SPEAKER_00Yes, thank you, Crystal. I hope they did too. And this is amazing. I love you, Crystal. And my word is meow.
