I cannot wait to see you there. All right. We're going to be diving into all of the updates and the encouragement starting right now. Are you constantly doubting yourself as you navigate your day, do you search for ways you can prioritize time with God so that you can become stronger in your faith as you lead your kids. do you wish you could have more confidence so that you can show up without wondering if you're making a mistake? Hi. My name is Caroline I'm a Christian life coach and mindset coach. I'm also a mom, wife and Jesus follower in this podcast. You're going to learn how to apply the word of God into your life. So you could feel purpose filled and your routine gain the confidence to move through the seasons in your life and learn how to use the word of God to build sustainable habits. So grab your Bible and bring your kids along because my friend it's time to grow. All right. So what are the updates? What are the changes with the restore mind? I know it's been quite a few weeks. I would say since I've been on with a new updated. Episode. And so I just thought that my first one would be. An awesome way to introduce some of the changes that are happening within the restorative mind. So first and foremost, The biggest update is that I am no longer affiliated with painting verticals. Incorporation. If you didn't already know, I was a contracted life coach with a mental health clinic. I recently decided to step away from that because I wanted to focus on rebuilding the framework for the restored mind and put 100% of my energy and effort into it. But don't worry. I am still life-coaching. My one-to-one sessions are still available. So if you were someone who wanted to work with me, but couldn't because of finances or you would just not sure if I'm the right person or the right fit for you. And, and you just were uncomfortable sharing a portion of your story and your struggles with me. I totally get it. I'm going to address that in a different episode. So keep an ear out for that, because I know what that is like, and I want you to be 100% comfortable. in working with me. The best way, my friend, if you want to just have a private conversation with me is to reach out on Facebook, you can join my Facebook group. They're restored mind. The link is in the show notes, or you can search the restored mind if you're already browsing on Facebook. So why did this change happen? Well, it started off. If you remember earlier this year, I announced that my family and I were going to be moving to California in may, which it did happen. We have settled beautifully here in the state of California. And. During that time. I was already thinking in the back of my mind, how I wanted to grow the restored mind even more, but I didn't really have. a direction of where I wanted to go and what needed to change. So after we settled down in June early July, I really started questioning. What was happening? Why did I feel stuck? Why was I becoming more and more frustrated? And honestly, I was bothered by it, but I did always have the faith that God would grow it according to his will. But then I questioned what work was I doing in the meantime? So it was actually during this time where I was combing through my actions and. How I was showing up, And this is where I found. Where improvements could be made so slowly but surely I started working through these changes, but not without being uncomfortable, being worried, being scared, feeling unsure about the situation and the changes that were happening. It was just all. A lot. And it happened really fast. Honestly, it was a leading, I believe of the holy spirit in that pruning season for me to actually go back and audit the podcast and audit my actions and how I was. Leading this small business of mine, if you are an OG listener, you probably have heard me say a couple of hundred times quote various life topics, end quote. And I had asked what that meant to me. then I wondered how that might be coming off to you as the listeners. Did it sound confusing? And I questioned if I did understand it, then why did I struggle to explain it and recording? Truth be told it took me several takes to explain what various life topics meant, because I would get very long-winded. And. Trust me. It was just a lot. So that was really the pain point of where this growth started happening. After I started auditing the podcast. I could not get past this speed bump of various life topics. I'd always still go back around to that. So it was actually hard, but also very, good that I took my time to really dissect how I wanted to change that moving forward. So then it gave me new direction eventually Because what did various life topics? Mean. I was coming from a mindset perspective, but it could be anything. Upon my reflection. I thought it was too broad. It could have been about finances, about life after divorce, about going through divorce, grieving loss, weight loss, or workouts. It could have been anything. And I didn't want it to be about just anything because then the message kind of gets lost in the sauce. Right. I wanted the Restored mind to have an overarching message that you could say. I know that this podcast is for me. So this podcast talked a lot about mindset and. It still is in that way, but now the clear message is that it's going to talk about having a mind and heart after God. Through reading his word and applying it into your life. I most definitely my friend will not be saying various life topics though. We will be talking about hard things or rather the challenges you're facing. Instead the vision. My friend is for you to gain confidence in knowing who God is, so that you can grow your faith. And pour into your children at home, because I know my friend that as someone who has kids, you want them to also grow up and have a heart in mind. After God. But don't worry. There's still going to be plenty of mindset conversations and plenty of encouragement here at the restored mind. The challenge for you. Now, my friend is to put it to action. What we're talking about so that you can see the growth in your life. so there are many changes that are to come with the restore mind, and I'm going to continue to update you as they happen. But all of this was hard and scary to go through. I probably breeze through it and it sounded like I just had this grand idea and I just knew what I was doing. And all the answers came falling out of the sky. Let me reassure you that did not happen. It took a lot, a lot of discernment, a lot of courage and a lot of prayer. We're going to talk about that in next week's episode. But I just want to share with you that even though in the short conversation, it sounded like it was really easy breezy. It was not, it was scary. And it's still scary because trusting the process, my friend can be hard, especially when the results are not coming in. I know that you're re resonating right now as I'm talking about this, but that reminder, the beautiful thing here is too. Let go because God's will be done. God's will not mine, not yours, but his, and so this is my encouragement to you that no matter what this hard season, it is going to look like the scary thing that you're wanting to do that, you know, you need to take whatever that looks like. Do not be afraid. To say yes to God when he's pruning you do not be afraid to let that happen so that you can. Grow and learn from. Whatever the season has for you. Sometimes it is okay to up root things that you thought were going to work. Trust me, when I say this, when God's word takes root, my friend, it's going to grow and. Sometimes. Things just don't work out and that's not because God's words are not true. It's because maybe. Speaking from experience here. Very guilty of this, but maybe. We started sprinkling a little bit of ourselves and there, and not relying on his words. And so Psalms 46, 10 for me is such a good reminder. It says be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth. If you did already know this about me, my friend, I get a lot of joy looking up words in the Bible and just engaging with it by asking questions self-reflecting questions. And for this particular verse, one of them is what does it mean to be still. And so when you think of be still, you think of just sitting or standing without movement. But according to blue letter, the meaning of be still is to become weak and to let go. Let that sink in. To be calm, weak, and to let go. Have you been doing that lately in this season of pruning? Allowing yourself to be weak and letting go with the things that you think are going to work best for you. God has said before that his ways are higher than ours. His thoughts are higher than ours. And so sometimes we think we know what's best for us, but really we probably don't. So the encouragement is, do not be afraid to let go, do not be afraid to be weak so that God's strength may be shown through you. And what awesome glory is that you get to witness a portion of his strength. There's a hard truth that I'm going to share with you. And it's going to be out of so much love, but my friend. There are things that are happening in your season that might not. be, how you've pictured it. Right. What you thought would work probably is proving that it isn't working. But my friend, I promise you that if you stick with it and you don't give up, he will grow and prosper you according to his will for his kingdom. Remember God's will not mine, but his God's will not yours, but his. And so how wonderful. That we are serving a God who sees you in your struggle, who wants to. Prune you so that you can have more fruits in your life. As you were raising your children as you're pouring into them. Continue to keep showing up with the greatest joy, even now in the midst of all of this uncertainty that you're going through. It can be so daunting to trust this process, because if you're anything like me, you've got a lot of questions and you want to know what the end results are going to look like. But the challenge for you, my friend is to simply trust. Trust that he's got you trust that you can be weak and that you can let go so that he may fill you. With the goodness of who he is to grow you and prosper you in the way that is going to be fitting for his kingdom. Might not be the time that you want it to be. It might not be the way that you thought it was going to be. But don't give up my friend. So, what I want you to do is to make that commitment right now to let go. Show up with joy. And continue to trust the Lord, your God. Yes, it's hard, but my friend, you can do hard things. Hey girlfriend, was it this episode encouraging and inspiring to you?
