I'm excited to connect with you! Remember, you can do hard things!
"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me"- Philippians 4:13

How do you know when it's time to pivot? What does that mean? And what does that look like? Also? How does my coaching services tie into all of this? Hey girlfriend, welcome to the restore mind. I am excited to have you here today. Over the last several weeks, there has been a lot of changes to rebuild the framework of the restore mind. I shared an update with you in last week's episode, titled sick of Downing yourself, gain confidence by trusting God's plan. Today, I'll be talking about pivoting to help you overcome self-doubt and diving into coaching with me before I get into all of that. I want to invite you to join my Facebook community. The link is in the show notes, but if you're already browsing on Facebook, which I'm pretty sure you are search for the restored mind and click to join. You're going to get the opportunity to take this conversation to beyond the podcast, connect with other women who want to grow sustainable confidence, and you'll get the opportunity to get to know me so that you can decide if I am the right fit for you as a Christian life and mindset coach. All right. My friend. Are you ready to start pivoting because we're diving into all of that right now. Are you constantly doubting yourself as you navigate your day, do you search for ways you can prioritize time with God so that you can become stronger in your faith as you lead your kids. do you wish you could have more confidence so that you can show up without wondering if you're making a mistake? Hi. My name is Caroline I'm a Christian life coach and mindset coach. I'm also a mom, wife and Jesus follower in this podcast. You're going to learn how to apply the word of God into your life. So you could feel purpose filled and your routine gain the confidence to move through the seasons in your life and learn how to use the word of God to build sustainable habits. So grab your Bible and bring your kids along because my friend it's time to grow. So we're going to be coming at this from a mindset and faith perspective, because what does it mean to pivot? Well, pivot means to shift your perspective. It's about how you are assessing your situation, recognizing what you want to change and then making the moves so that you can grow or create the space that you want to see happen within your environment. And when I say environment, I mean the things in close proximity to you. So your relationship with yourself, with your husband, with your kids, your relationship with God. And the people around you, your community. That's what I mean by your environment. Pivoting, my friend is adapting the growth mindset, using positive verbiage to help you bounce back from setbacks. This is not an opportunity to quote fake it till you make it in quotes, because trust me, that is not sustainable. And it produces more stress, which is the opposite of what I'm sure you're aiming for. The growth mindset is knowing and believing that you are able to improve. Over time with effort. One of the biggest changes with the restore mind is that I am no longer coaching with painting miracles, incorporation. But that doesn't mean that I am not coaching at all because I still am. I still enjoy that. So if you are wanting to work with me, but you aren't sure for any reason, I hope that this episode would inspire you to hop on a call with me as you're reflecting on how you can pivot and move towards gaining more confidence. You can book your call with me. The link is in the show notes, or you can go to calendly.com/restoredmind. I can help you lay out the foundation that is unique to your own lifestyle. So you can pivot your way to building sustainable habits that will ultimately create the kind of wins that you are aiming for. So, like I said, we're going to be like in that pivot from a biblical perspective, but trust me, you can apply this into any situation in your life. It is such a good way to use discernment, especially if you're going to be investing into. A coach like me, for example, to help you move past this season of doubt that you're going through. Pivots not only means for you to make a change or to move. It is an action verb. But it also is an acronym that you can use to help you along the way. So pivot stands for pray inquire, validate, obey and trust. And my friend prayer is a big one. My mind goes straight to praying without ceasing, which comes from first Thessalonians chapter five, verse 17, and it reads rejoice. Always pray without ceasing. Give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. And I read that from the English standard version. This verse is such a good reminder that you can go to God when you're feeling restless and weary. when you feeling uncertain about the season that you're in, or when you're feeling stuck about your next move, not only that, but you can go to God and prayer when you simply want to thank him. it's not always always about him feeling the needs that you have right now, but about your heart posture and the gratitude that you have for what you do have, right? It helps you refocus your attention on him and helps you cling onto him. Even when things are hard. I want you to go to God first, because it can help you gain more clarity. It can help you be bolder. And as you pray for God's wisdom, it's going to be revealed to you. And you can do that when you inquire, which is the"i" in pivot. When you inquire, you're seeking for wisdom. You are reading his words and you're reflecting on who he is. It is important for you to not only pray, but to read his words, engage with scripture. My friend, as you're reading, ask how we can apply to your situation. Be still in the moment and linger in this presence. Remember last week I shared that being still is not about literally being still, but about becoming weak and weary, not for the world to take advantage of you, not even for your mind to take over but for. God to strengthen you by his will. It's so important that you continue to engage in scripture as you're praying, and as you're discerning through this hard season, The V and pivot is to validate, so as you're doing all of this, you want to confirm your thoughts and what you've gathered with someone who is on the same spiritual journey as you, or really someone who's probably a little bit further along who has more experience, because that means they probably going to come with more wisdom and more insight to help guide you along the way. This could be a mentor, maybe from church or in a small group. This could also be a coach. Hello like me, and it could also be a friend or a husband. Just make sure that as you're talking to your friend, it's someone that you really, really. Trust, because that's going to play a vital role in how this friend guides you. Seeking wise counsel is important, not only in your faith walk, but in your life wise, counsel is going to help you refocus your attention. Dig deep into the why's of your action. So that means they're asking probing questions to get a better understanding of where your mind and heart is at. this person is also going to lovingly let you know when you're not within the bounds of scripture or when you're not within the boundaries that has been set in your marriage, between you and your husband, your kids, and even yourself, it can be hard to hear sometimes that we're going against what we originally wanted to do, but it is so. So good to hear this because we need to hear them. We can get distracted in our life with all of the hard things that are happening, It can cause us to move in a different direction that pulls us away from what we really wanted in the first place, And it's so good to have someone in your corner who can do that. And that's why I was saying trust matters, which we're going to talk about But as you are discerning through all of this, I think it's so important that you obey obey the will of God and your life obey, where he's leading you and guiding you think about your options and then take action. It's so important that you weigh the pros and cons of your options. Think about what you are willing to do and what you're not willing to do and ask if it goes against any boundaries that has been said. And I will say that sometimes in certain circumstances, it is okay to change certain boundaries that you may have said so that you can allow room for growth. That is a discernment that you will have to use. To decide if it is okay. That you shift boundaries around a little bit. Now obeying is hard to do, but it is so worth it. And you're probably asking yourself a bunch of questions at this point. Questions like, but what if I mess up. But what if this fails, but what if I disappoint my husband or my kids? I will tell you my friend, I been there and guess what? It still happens even till this day, when I'm making a shift. That feels a little uncertain, a little bit scary, but good, scary in a way, because all of the trust is in God. Again, we're going to talk about that in just a little bit. You can build habits and put things in place that will help you recognize when you're about to go in a mindset spiral of all of these. What if questions pulling you back and stopping you from reaching that goal that you want? Two things to remember is that no one is perfect. So don't try and make decisions from the mindset of a perfectionist, because that breeds a lot of stress, which is another topic. For another day, but trust me, it does not feel good. And the second thing is that it is not always about making these big moves or seeing these big changes suddenly. Sometimes, truly, sometimes it is about working where you've been planted and the course of action is for you to act on the direction in which you have been led and to follow through. Obeying can be so hard, but again, so worth it. And i've been talking about trust. So we're going to dive right into it. The last letter in pivot is T which stands for trust. No matter what my friend put your trust in God. Yes. Trust your mentor. Trust your coach, your husband, your friend, as you were speaking to them and receiving guidance from them. But I would urge you to put 100% of your trust in God. Not in the people because people will fail. You. We're all flawed in some way. We don't know everything. But God has said that his ways are higher than ours, and his thoughts are higher than ours. And when you are reading his words and your. Engaging in scripture, you gain wisdom that only he could pour out over you. So how do you trust God? You build a relationship with him, just like you built a relationship with your friends, with your husband and your kids. If you didn't already know, I have three kids of my own and over the years I have witnessed them trust and forgive. So lovingly. They make it look so easy and I'm sure you can attest to that as you are thinking about your own kids. Just simply trusting. And loving, not thinking about the process. but taking your word for what it is. And I think it's so awesome how they instinctively trust their parents without having been told to do so. And that is so beautiful because it mirrors how we ought to go to God. And the innocence of simply trusting him. So now that, you know, The acronym for pivot. How do you know when it's time to pivot? I would say my friend that it's time to pivot when you've tried it all on your own and you're still stuck. Another way to know if it's time to pivot is when you are overwhelmed and you're seeking wise counsel, we spoke about that already, but I just want you to reiterate how important it is to have wise counsel in your corner, so that you can be guided? Using the acronym can help you use discernment and apply what you're learning into your life. It is a useful tool to have at the back of your mind, because majority of the time. You're not doing all of these at once. So the more that you practice it, the more of a habit, it will become the more peace you'll gain, the more confidence you'll gain. And it's not from you, but from God, it's so amazing because that is the sustainable confidence that you want. my coaching services is built on applying pivot into your life. Now's the time to start putting action towards your desires of wanting to spend more time with God so you can grow your faith, overcome self-doubt and have that sustainable confidence you've been searching for. I would love to help you on this journey.
