Welcome to Wholesome Content.  Where we explore the connection between mental health and creativity and how holistic wellness supports our creative process. I'm your host, television, producer, and wellness enthusiast,  Heaven Jones. 

Have you ever heard the term tortured artists? Have you experienced imposter syndrome? Has fear ever stopped you from finishing a creative project or even starting. 

Throughout history. There has been a link between mental health and creativity. With many artists from Pablo Picasso to Frida Kahlo, struggling with mental health challenges like depression and anxiety. 

And channeling those feelings into beautiful works of art. Even the director, Larry David used his own anxious tendencies to create troubled and stressed-out characters 

and their subsequent drama. Giving birth to the classic sitcom Seinfeld. Which has transcended generations and cultures alike. I created wholesome content as an inspirational soundboard, dedicated to artists, creatives, and media professionals with the hopes of helping to de-stigmatize mental health struggles and empower listeners with the wellness tools to improve their wellbeing and boost creativity. 

Each episode, we'll explore a mental health or wellness topic. How the idea connects to creativity. And ways we can implement the concept to improve, not just our creative process, but our lives. 

The relationship between mental health and creativity is complex. But I believe creatives can find balance through wellness and use their art to support their mental health. 

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a regular basis. Leading to better physical and mental health. Wellness allows us to thrive instead of just survive. 

When we prioritize our mental health and wellbeing, our creativity flows more easily. Our ideas are more innovative in our work is more fulfilling. 

I was inspired to create wholesome content by the passing of the beloved DJ Twitch. And my own mental health journey. Uh,  

sparked by the demanding high pressure lifestyle that comes with being a media . . Professionals   after experiencing my own mental health struggles, I turned to holistic wellness to find balance. 

And I would like to share that with my community. . Creatives in our community are silently struggling. I'd like wholesome content to be a safe space and open dialogue surrounding mental health. Creativity and wellbeing. Ultimately inspiring creatives to take care of their mind, body and soul. In addition to their art.
