Welcome to another edition of Doing Life with Ken and Tabitha. We are so pumped that you have found our podcast. We don't believe that you're here by mistake or an accident. We actually pray and we say, God, just send whoever um needs our podcast, whoever we're supposed to be doing life with. And so I guess that's you, and I guess that's us. And so welcome. We love to create a community. All right. This is first and foremost a marriage and relationship podcast. But we have a saying that when you get better, the marriage gets better. So it's also a personal growth podcast. And we talk about spiritual things, some natural things, and then we bring it over into marriage and sex and intimacy. And you can look through our catalog to see some things we've done before. But today is a great one because today is going to cause a lot of freedom. This might be our most shared episode. I'm saying that by faith that we've ever done. And I believe there's an anointing on today to cause um shackles to be broken, addictions to be broken as people break up with lies. I want to talk about the common lies that Satan uses and how to break free from them. And so today is really a little bit about deliverance. Like, um, can we just talk about, let's just start talking about deliverance.

Marriage, Growth, And Spiritual Freedom

Ken Claytor 1:20

How would you how would you define deliverance?

Tabatha Claytor 1:22

Um, I would find I mean freedom from strongholds, freedom from addiction, freedom from sickness and disease, freedom from the demonic influence, demonic oppression.

Ken Claytor 1:41

Deliverance is funny because Jesus is the deliverer. And when you accept Christ, you accept deliverance. So it's almost like the door has been open, but many times people are still in prison. Meaning that the door has been open, but they're still in prison and don't even know how to get free. Yeah. So you have the deliverer living on the inside of you, but you don't know how to get out of the bondage of addiction, the abundance of low self-esteem, the bondage of sexual perversion, the bondage of those things. So you can be saved, experience the deliverer, but still bound and needing deliverance. That's a lot. Talk to me about that.

Tabatha Claytor 2:19

That's a lot. You know, I was there in my life. You know, a lot of us, I mean, a I don't know, believers, period. We all come from a form of bondage before salvation, right? And we receive salvation. And so that's a form of deliverance. Um, but I think that deliverance can happen. It it's both um an event and a process.

Ken Claytor 2:39

Yeah, I like that. So it's an event. There's been some things delivered from like that. Then there's some things that we gotta go through the process of being delivered like that.

Tabatha Claytor 2:48

Yeah, yeah. And I've seen that in my own life. I've seen that in the life of so many other people. You know, so at salvation, I was delivered from hell, eternal damnation. Um, but at the same time, I started a process of deliverance from um sexual abuse, physical abuse, fear, anger, rage, resentment, bitterness. That was a process for me to overcome, yeah, picking up the tools that I believe you're probably, you know, going to talk about. And so, yeah.

Well, I guess the reason that I started talking about deliverance because many times when people hear deliverance, they think of casting out demons over in the corner somewhere while somebody's spit spit spitting up in the bucket. And I guess that that is a form of deliverance. If you have demon possession, we want to get the demon out of you. Yes. If you have demon oppression, we want to get the demon out of you. So do whatever you got to do to get the demon out of you. But that's not really what I want to talk about today. So deliverance to me is not just somebody um over in the corner having a devil cast out. Um, for me, deliverance is when you replace the lie with the truth.

What Deliverance Really Means

Ken Claytor 3:55

Stick with me. Deliverance is when you replace a lie with the truth, and truth shall make you what? Free. And so many times people are bound to sexual perversion because they believe I was just born this way. But then when they receive the truth that God has made me in his image and likeness, and they break up with the lie and they receive the truth, deliverance is now there. So if you believe that you can never get ahead, and that's what you've believed all your life, but then you realize that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and you replace that lie with the truth, freedom is there. So freedom and deliverance is actually found whenever you break up. And that's why we do like prayers of renouncing, because we want you to renounce bitterness, renounce anger, renounce perversion. What am I doing? Renouncing means that I'm breaking up with the enemy's ways so that I can embrace God's way. That's so freedom is right there.

Tabatha Claytor 4:50

That's so good. I love what you said that a lot of us, you know, we we've been set free because Jesus is on the inside of us. He's given us freedom, but some of us don't know it.

Yeah.

Tabatha Claytor 5:01

Some of Yeah. Yeah, some of us don't know that we've been set free. And um, we could be living in a prison, we could be living in a jail cell, having the key in our pocket. We don't know that we can take that.

Ken Claytor 5:15

Well, I think there's some people who who know it, but they don't know how to get out of it. You know, they believe I've been delivered, but they don't know how to take the key out and open it up.

Um, what are common lies that you believed?

Tabatha Claytor 5:29

Um, about deliverance.

Ken Claytor 5:31

No, about you. About me? About life, about Jesus, about the Bible, about your identity.

Tabatha Claytor 5:36

How long do we have? Um I believed the lies that I was a mistake. I was just an accident. My mom was 18 when she was pregnant with me. My dad might have been 19 or 20. Um, she wasn't able to graduate high school because, you know, I was a mistake. I believed that um, you know, I was just born into this family. I love my family and I think that we were amazing people, but we were, we're not supposed to be at a certain, you know, financial position. So I was born and raised in the projects, and that was just what was meant for us in our family. Other people can be rich, other people can go to college, other people can do all of these great things. But for me, you know, in our family, this is this is where we are. I believe that, you know, early on, I believe that the color of my skin, you know, I was I was less than because of the color of my skin. I couldn't do certain things because of the color of my skin. Um, and so those are just some of the, you know, the the lies that I believed.

Ken Claytor 6:41

Yeah. And so when you replaced, so those lies create a bondage. So those lies would have kept you in the projects, yeah. Those lies would have kept you with a victim mentality, those lies would have kept you in a poverty

Saved But Still Bound

Ken Claytor 6:55

place, those lies would have kept you from going to college, those lies. And there's a lot of great people out that just believe lies. Yes, and that's why they are where they are. It's because the God of this world, who's the liar of all, that's part of who he is. Satan is a liar. He is lying to you from the wound.

He is lying to the mother to the abort of baby. He is lying to the baby that you're not good enough. He is lying to the younger person that you're not smart enough, that you're not the He's lying. He's using bullies, he's using everything he can. He does not fight fair. Yes. But we replace lies with truth, and truth makes us free, and truth is not relative, it's found in the word of God. Yes. I don't know, it's just so much there.

So what happened is let me say this part. So, because I believe those were the lies that I believed.

Now, how did that affect my life? It kept me in a box.

Yeah.

Tabatha Claytor 7:40

There are certain jobs that I would not apply for because that's not what I should do. I'm not good enough for that. There were certain places that I wouldn't go because that's not for me. I felt uncomfortable going into a restaurant and looking at the menu. I was afraid that I couldn't pay for it. This place isn't for me. In certain stores, I remember going into certain stores in the mall, and I would feel uncomfortable because, oh, this is for other people. I'm not valuable enough to this store isn't for me. And so I put barriers on myself. Again, there was a prison, I believed a lie, and I was free to go out and to do whatever I wanted to do, but I lived in this prison of what my beliefs were, believing those lies.

Ken Claytor 8:23

Well, I well, probably anytime you live in sin, you're believing a lie.

Yeah.

Ken Claytor 8:28

And so I know that I've sinned a lot in my life, so I've probably believed a lot of lies. Um, the biggest one that I probably believe is that God would forgive me because He's forgiving. And so I continue to live in sin because I believe that since God is a forgiving God, if I just confess sin, then I can just live how I want to live. Yeah. And God will forgive me. And what the truth is, is that there's confession plus repentance that equals forgiveness. There's no forgiveness without repentance. Repentance means to change my mind, to change my behavior. That means that I say, I'm no to sin, that I turn away from it. And that's when God forgives us. So the greatest lie to me was that God would just forgive you. Go ahead, sew your

Identity Lies That Shrink Your Life

wild oats, do whatever you want to do. So it led me to a lifestyle of lawlessness and continuing to live as a Christian atheist. I believed in God, but lived like He didn't exist. That's a big one that comes to me.

Yeah.

Ken Claytor 9:25

But the person who doesn't tithe, they probably just are believing a lie. They're not a bad person. They just believe it's just old testament. They just believe that the preacher just wants your money. They just believe that, you know, it's a lie, but that's just what they believe. The person who's a racist, they just believe a lie. They believe that their race is superior to other races. They believe in evolution because it was taught in public school that the lighter you are, the higher you are up the evolutionary chain. It's a lie. You know, they would rather believe in a big explosion than in a um almighty God that created us all. They just want to believe a lie. Right. That we came from lizards and tadpoles, and now we're gorillas and gorillas turned into this, and over billions of years. So let's just believe that instead of just believing in intelligent design. So that's just a lie. And where there's lies, there will be bondage. And where there's truth, there will be freedom. Absolutely. Think about the the lies that we're being told. So everything creates a lie. So if it's Trump, there's gonna be lies around him. If it's Obama, it's gonna be lies around him. And whatever, whatever movement there is, if there's a revival, there's gonna be lies all around it. Because the the father of lies will do everything that he can because lies create bondage. Yeah. It ain't that personal.

Tabatha Claytor 10:30

And if you can focus on the lie, they it, you know, it you you stay away from the truth. I just spoke to a woman yesterday who just wrote a book and she comes out of a Muslim family, and her um, you know, she was raised Muslim, but she said the number in her book she talks about the number one thing that she learned as a Muslim was to um that Jesus is not God. She said this was the number one thing we learned that Jesus is not God. So she said that that's what keep kept her from exploring Christianity. It was the number one lie before anything else, whatever other religions you you know explore, Jesus is not God. And so if you believe that one lie, you know, the one lie, it will shape and form you and mold you. Wow. Yeah, it's it, but it's the plan of the enemy feed us the lie so that we believe the lie and never know the truth. Now, I found the truth. Identity was a huge role for me in life. I was all I my my dad died when I was six years old. I had no identity. I couldn't look to the father. So many people are born without fathers and their father isn't in their life. And so I found out that okay, I was not an accident. I might have been an accident with my mom and dad. They didn't know that I was being conf, you know, conceived, but God made me intentionally on purpose. I am a plan of God. He knows every hair on my head, he knows my fingerprints, he loves me, he gave me a call, he knows me by name. And so that was probably the biggest lie of the enemy that I had to find in the word of God. Like, okay, what is the truth? I have a heavenly father who loves me. Okay, I might not have a perfect family situation, a perfect mom and dad situation in the earth. That doesn't matter because eternity is longer than what this time is in earth. And I just look to my heavenly father now. So if we can find the truth, cancels out the lie. And that's deliverance.

Ken Claytor 12:24

So, what is a lie from Satan? It is any thought, belief, or mindset that contradicts God's word, God's nature, God's promises, or your identity in Christ. And Satan's strategy has never changed. Uh, the scripture says in John 8 and 44 that he's a liar and the father of lies. That means that deception is his native language. When he speaks, he speaks lies. And his greatest MO is not to be some devil, like in

The Lie Of Cheap Grace

Ken Claytor 12:55

the cartoons with the red horns and a pitchfork. He shows up as light. He shows up, he was an angel of light, so he shows up like truth, but he's not truth. And so the greatest lies sound like truth, but they're not truth.

And there's a lot of people involved in false religions and cults around the world because they have something that sounds really, really, really close to the truth, but it ain't truth, and it creates bondage.

Tabatha Claytor 13:21

Or something that I think sometimes we expect the devil to show up with the pitchfork, you know, growling and yelling and doing the most. He's, you know, he's he's a little wiser than that. He's been around for a long time.

Ken Claytor 13:33

Very subtle, right?

Tabatha Claytor 13:34

Very subtle. Very subtle.

Ken Claytor 13:35

Did God say? Did God say?

Tabatha Claytor 13:37

Did God say that you shouldn't do that?

Ken Claytor 13:40

Yeah. Is that really in the Bible? Is that really a sin? I mean, you are under grace, right?

Tabatha Claytor 13:45

Won't he forgive you?

Ken Claytor 13:47

The devil is a liar. We cast him out right now in the name. So this matters because people don't just live based on facts, they live based upon beliefs.

Yes.

Ken Claytor 13:57

And wrong beliefs create wrong outcomes. If you believe you're rejected, you'll live insecure. If you believe you'll never change, you'll you'll stop trying. Yes. If you believe God is distant, you'll stop pursuing him. And many people aren't trapped by reality, they're trapped by lies. Yes. It's so good. Anything else stick out to you on that?

Tabatha Claytor 14:17

No, it's very true. The Bible says that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. So it's what you believe inside. It's it's how you think.

Ken Claytor 14:25

We're about to break up with some lies today. I feel it coming. 2 Corinthians 10, 5 says, We take every thought and make it obedient to Christ. I'd love to hear what you think about that. But it means to me, not every thought deserves agreement. Some thoughts need arresting.

Tabatha Claytor 14:41

It's we take every thought captive, right? So we take it as a prisoner of war. Okay. Who where does this come from? If it's good, if it's of God, if it's, you know, if it's prophetic, okay, I keep that. You know, I'm gonna keep that thought. Right. But it's the ones that we feel, uh, you know. Um, but actually, let me go back because every thought, that's funny, because we just talked about how the enemy is just sly, and sometimes we expect him to show up like, right. Sometimes take every thought captive, you know, don't just let thoughts run run through your mind. We take every thought captive anyway. That just blessed me. That was for me.

But uh, take every thought captive. So that's like a prisoner of war. Like, you know, you you you take this thought captive and you decide whether you're going to keep it or throw it away.

Ken Claytor 15:31

How do you do that? You open your mouth and say what God says. So if you have a thought, and that's why you have to know the word of God. Yes. Because you have a thought that's contrary to the word, you have to open up your mouth because words override thoughts. Right. John 8 32 says, You shall know the truth,

How Satan Uses Beliefs

Ken Claytor 15:45

and the truth shall set you free. The truth shall make you free. So freedom comes from truth, not feelings. And I just feel like there's so many people, I feel like, that are living life by feelings more than by truth. And feelings will fail you, they're fickle. And uh, you gotta live your life by principle and the truth that comes from the word.

Tabatha Claytor 16:05

And so, what is the truth? The truth is the word of God. 100% the truth is the word of God. And so I say this all the time, especially if people who are dealing with they're believing God for healing. There's something going on in their body, um, that you know, and and they've been diagnosed with something. This is what I say, hey, that's facts. The facts are this is your situation, the facts are this is in your blood, this is what's going on in your body. We bless the doctors, they are presenting you the facts, but let me present you with the truth that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed, that he is Jehovah Rafa, the Lord God who heals you. And so the truth is always found in the Word of God.

Ken Claytor 16:42

And the truths override the facts. You say when? I don't know when, but I just know it will. And so I want to expose some common lies. You ready for this? Okay. Okay, here's lie number one: you're not enough. You're too broken, you're too weak, you'll never measure up. Here's the truth your worth comes from God, not performance.

Tabatha Claytor 17:02

You are more than enough. That's the truth. You're more than conquerors. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. You're the head and not the tail. Above only and ever beneath.

Ken Claytor 17:12

I mean Line number two is God's forgotten about you. The enemy loves making waiting feel like abandonment. Here's the truth delay is not denial. I actually have a saying that every delay is working in my favor, and I prophesy that over you too. Every delay is working in your favor. You would just have one of our uh other people of our church that has been believing God for a new heart. It was a young lady who serves in in our youth ministry, and she's been having a problem with her heart ever since she was 15 years old. Now I think she's about 20. And um, she got on the heart list finally, been in the hospital for she was in the hospital for weeks. And um, we would just tell her one heart would come, then they would do a test, oh, it's not good. Another heart will come, oh, do a test, that one's not gonna fit your body. And we would just tell her third time delay is not denial. Delay is not denial, delay is not denial. And um, she just received a new heart and had a successful surgery, so we're excited about that. Uh line number three is that you'll never change. All right. This attacks hope. Here's the truth transformation is possible through Christ.

Tabatha Claytor 18:12

Yeah. The Bible says to renew your mind by the word of God. Um, be transformed by the word of God so that you may prove what's the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. Not only will you change your mind,

Take Every Thought Captive

Tabatha Claytor 18:25

not only will you renew, not only will you change, but you will prove that God is good, you will prove that God is able, you'll prove that look, God did it for me and He can do it for you.

Ken Claytor 18:34

Yeah. Here's another one. Lie number four, nobody really loves you. Nobody really loves me. Isolation grows where the lie, where this lie lives. And here's the truth: you're seen, you're known, you're accepted, you're loved by God.

Tabatha Claytor 18:48

That's right. For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son that nothing, the Bible says nothing can separate you from the love that God has for you. It doesn't matter how trifling, how ugly you act, God still loves you. Uh we have three kids and they can do whatever they want to do. I still love my child. That's the way God feels for you.

Ken Claytor 19:07

He doesn't approve of all of our actions, so his love for us is consistent and it does not change. Uh line number five is one compromise won't matter. This was my big one. This often is how drift starts. Here's the truth small compromises create big consequences. And it's the little foxes that spoil the vine. So it's the little, oh, that's not that big a deal. Oh, it is a big, it's just a little white lie. No, it's a lie.

It's la la la. You gotta call it what it is.

Stay out of the gray.

Ken Claytor 19:34

Yeah. Here's another one. Your past defines you. The enemy wants to shame, uh, wants shame to become your identity.

That's a lie.

Ken Claytor 19:42

The truth is your past may explain you, but it does not own you. Yeah. Lie number seven, you deserve revenge. This is bitterness disguised as justice. Here's the truth: forgiveness frees you. It's not, well, they don't, they don't deserve my forgiveness. Well, neither do you, but God still forgave you. Now the requirement is that you forgive other people because you've been forgiven and you set yourself free from the prison of unforgiveness.

It's a beautiful thing to forgive.

Lie number eight is God is holding out on you. It's the same lie used in the garden that got us all into trouble.

Don't fall for that one again.

Here's the truth: God's boundaries are protection, not punishment. Lie number nine is you're alone in this. The enemy isolates to weaken. Here's the truth: healing and strength happen in community.

And people will fall, they will be like, Well, that's just not my personality. You know, I'm an introvert and I like being a loner. And um, I will say I like being alone as well. And I consider myself to be more introverted. I like to, that's where I get my energy from, is being by myself in a book and uh some headphones in. But I've been created for community.

You believe the lie that you don't need other people, you know, you're going to be weaker than what God wanted you. You're not going to be in the perfect will of God. You need other people in your life. Yes, the Bible. Maybe not a hundred, but you need other people in your life.

Tabatha Claytor 21:00

Yes, one can chase a thousand, but two can put ten thousand to flight. We are stronger and better together.

We've been created for community. We have a communal faith, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Number 10, this is just who you are. The enemy wants dysfunction to feel permanent. That's just how you are. You know, in Christ you become new. The scripture says that old things are passed away. Behold, all things become new. And you got to give yourself an opportunity to be the new you in Christ, new language, new friends, new relationships, new behaviors, new atmospheres, new attitudes, new perspective. Might even change the way you vote. God does new things for those of us who are in Christ.

Come on. And it's never too late. You could have been saved for 10 years, and now all of a sudden you feel like God is causing you to renew your mind and make and change some ways. That's the welcome to the Christian life. That's the

Ten Common Lies And God’s Truth

life of a believer. I've been saved for several years now, and I never have a time where I feel like I've arrived. I'm always on this journey with God. I'm always like learning Him. In a new way. And it's exciting. Think about when we first, you know, we first started dating. And it's like, oh my gosh, it's it's fresh, it's new. It's this, you know, there's butterflies and there's all of this stuff. That's what life is as a believer with God. There's always a new journey that we embark on. It's beautiful.

Ken Claytor 22:16

Yeah. Well, let's get as practical as we can and really just speak to the people who are listening to this that have been believing lies. Let's help them break the lie, embrace the truth. I mean, we're about to have a mass deliverance session right now. Okay. So go ahead and call your kids or call whoever you got to call into the room. Share this episode because we're about to have a mass deliverance session right now as we break up with lies. Um, but can you speak to the business person who just believes that the market's just too bad? Can you speak to the mom who just feels like I'm never gonna get out of this season of postpartum? Can you just speak um to the person who feels betrayed by a relationship, a friendship, a divorce, a marriage that didn't happen? And on the way out, that spouse basically used the weapon of their words to say, I shouldn't have never married you, you didn't do this, and you didn't do that, and all those things were lies. And I think that there's a lot of um people that in the name of God even team up with the accuser of the brethren and they speak lies. And when you agree with the lie, bondage is there. If you reject the lie and receive the truth, freedom is there. Anything comes in your spirit there?

Tabatha Claytor 23:28

Yeah, I would say that um right right now, just begin to remember those things, you know. Even, you know, speak it out. Say, Lord, I remember this and I remember that. Begin to speak those things because what you want to do is expose the lie.

It's like, you know, it's like um turning on the light in a dark room. All of a sudden you can see clearly. Right. And that's what you want. This that's what's gonna happen right now in that moment. But I want to is um, I want you to remember those things. Remember those lies, begin to speak them out because God wants to bring light into your situation.

Ken Claytor 24:02

And not just speak them out, renounce them as well.

Tabatha Claytor 24:05

Renounce them, yeah.

Ken Claytor 24:06

Yeah, if there's a lie and you're hearing this lie, well, you're just too fad. You're not attractive. I rebuke that in the name of Jesus. That is a lie. I've been fearfully and wonderfully made by God. God knew exactly what he was doing when he made me, and God don't make no mistakes. And everything that God made is beautiful. And I'm beautiful on the outside, I'm beautiful in the inside, and I send that lie back to hell where it came from.

Tabatha Claytor 24:28

And remember that we serve a mighty God. He's a holy God, he can do anything. He's the God of the impossible. So, whatever your situation is, if you feel like it's impossible, it's not impossible with God. For with God, all things are possible. So, whatever it is, if it's in your self-esteem, if it's mental health, if it's physical health, if it's a diagnosis, if it's cancer, if it's a new um uh organ that you need in your body, God can do what man can't do. He can do the impossible. So I want to stir up your faith right now in the name of Jesus, that he is the healer, he is the deliverer, he is the one who loves you, he created you, he knows you, he knows exactly what you need. The Bible says he will make a way out of no way.

Ken Claytor 25:20

Yeah, yeah. Um, you believe that the Bible's been changed. It's been written by man, that's a lie. It's been God breathed, God inspired, and God knows how to get an infallible word through fallible creatures like us. Um, you just got to break up with the lie so that you can put, see, the enemy's taking your sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. You got one offensive weapon, and if he can lie to you for you to put down your Bible, you have put down your faith. You believe that I'm not sure this whole God thing, if there was a God, why would bad things happen to good people? Don't believe the lie, and you begin to blame bad things on God as if he is the one. Listen, there's no confusion in God, there's no sin in God. God is holy and perfect in all his ways, and in his ultimate love, he has put us in a place where we have a free will. And mankind used their free will to reject the will of God, therefore putting us into a sin predicament. So this is not God's perfect will. The perfect will of God will be seen in heaven in the New Jerusalem. Right now we are living in a fallen, broken world where the God of this world, who is Satan himself, is lying to the minds of all of us, trying to get us outside of the will of God. So don't get angry at God, get angry at the devil, for it's the devil who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The truth is that Jesus came, that you might have life and have it more abundantly. I'm just trying to pick up lies so that I can speak to you guys who are out there. The lies, the lies, the lies. What else do we have? The lies of, oh, the married person. You're in a marriage and you think that you married the wrong person and God can't change your marriage around. And I want you to know that that's a lie. You hear the lie that, well, your husband's not like Ken, or I wish my wife was like Tabitha, or our relationship is not like your relationship, almost like you have some special circumstances that we don't know anything about. I want you to identify that as a lie. And you got to open up your mouth and say, no, same God back then, same God right now. If God has restored Ken and Tabitha, God can restore me and my spouse. If God did it for them, he can also do it for me. And so instead of trying to change your spouse into being something, you got to change yourself into being something that God can bless. Exactly. And take your power back and just say, no, me plus God is the majority. There

Renouncing Lies Out Loud

Ken Claytor 27:35

is a better day that's coming. All things are working together for my good. I don't know. I just feel like they're just there's mass deliverance.

Tabatha Claytor 27:42

There's a lie that God wants you sick. Well, God, God wants you to be sick. He wants you to suffer. And that the Bible never ever says that. Everyone that Jesus came in contact with, Jesus healed every single one. And I know sometimes we watch some of our favorite Christian shows and things like that. And um, I um there was a show that I watched where uh Jesus denied someone. One of his disciples came to him and he said, No, I'm not gonna heal you. And that is not the Bible, y'all. That is not the Bible. Always take the meat and leave the bones. That is a lie. Jesus healed everyone who asked. And God says, I am the healer. It is his nature to heal. And so you receive healing in the name of Jesus. Another lie is that God wants you to be broke, God wants you to take vows of poverty and be poor. Well, Jesus said that I've come to give you um uh, or what does the Bible say that Jesus was rich but became poor so that through him we could become rich? Um, and so I have three kids, right? And I don't want them to be sick, I don't want them to be poor. If I could do anything for them, I will give them money to meet their needs, I will give them um healing wherever they need it. And so, how much more would our heavenly father do for us?

Ken Claytor 28:58

I think that religion, which is created through a lack of understanding of scripture, it's where you take one scripture and you set up shop without hermeneutics, which is the full context of the word. That's where people take vows of poverty because I love God enough that if he wanted me to take a vow of poverty, I would. I love God enough that if he wanted to put sickness on me, I would take it because I love him that much. The enemy uses lies to extrapolate scripture without hermeneutical exegesis of other scripture to take God, good people that love God to set up legalism and religion to stop them from having God's best. And there's so many lies about women preaching in churches, about tongues and interpretation of tongues and prosperity and God's best and Abrahamic covenant of wealth in Deuteronomy 8.18. And so I'm I we can't go through every lie, but this is what I'll say. Let's pray together real quickly and repeat after me say, in the mighty name of Jesus, in the mighty name of Jesus, I renounce every lie of the enemy against me, against me, against my family, against my family, and against my calling, and against my calling, and I uproot every lie against my identity, against my identity, my mindset, my mindset, my spirit, my spirit, in the mighty name of Jesus. And I declare that my heart is open and ready for the truth of God's word. For the truth of God's word. I am who He says I am, I am who He says I am. And so, Lord, deposit truth because truth is making me free.

And so right now, in the mighty name of Jesus, we declare that shackles are being broken over you, of addictions, shackles and strongholds are being broken down. The lies that have been set up against you and your family generationally is coming underneath your feet right now in the mighty name of Jesus.

Prayer, Salvation, And Next Steps

Ken Claytor 30:55

I declare in Jesus' name that you will not see yourself any longer just based upon what you've been through, the side of the tracks that you were born on, but you will see yourself as an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ Jesus. I want you to know that you are more than your mistakes and you have a greater purpose than your past. I want you to know that even right now, God is causing all things to work together for your good because you love God and you've been called according to his purposes. And if you're not dead, then God's not done. If you got a pulse, you still have a purpose. And I want you to know that if you're still in the land of the living, God wants to use you in a powerful way, in an authentic way, for the hand of God is upon you, and it is not too late.

Tabatha Claytor 31:35

Amen. Amen. I just see like pages turning right now and people writing things down. And I just want to encourage you, I know this is a podcast, but some of you need to just go ahead and write some things down. Go back, search the scripture for what we're talking about right now, and begin to declare over your life some of the things that we've just said so that you can solidify, build your faith in who God's called you to be, and you're gonna see some change in your life.

Ken Claytor 32:01

Yeah, yeah. And so I'm just feel led to give you an opportunity to accept Christ. I think there's so many lies around Jesus, who he is. Was he a rabbi, a teacher? Was he made up? Was he this, that, and the other? No, he was the Son of God, God in the flesh, Emmanuel with us, the Lamb of God that died for your sin and my sin. And you don't have to be perfect to be saved, but you do have to surrender. And the Bible says in Romans 10, 9 that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that the Father raised Christ from the dead, that you'd be saved. Would you pray this with me? Say this, Lord Jesus. I confess I'm a sinner, and I'm in need of a savior. I look to you as a savior, and I surrender to you as my Lord. From this day forward, I'm born again, I'm a child of God in Jesus' name. If you prayed that prayer, we would love to hear from you. Let us know right now.
