Passionate On Purpose - Heart Talks With Sha
Welcome. I’m so glad our paths crossed.
I’m Sha, and these are heart talks—the kind of conversations that remind you you’re not alone.
Life has taken me through cancer, motherhood, marriage, raising children with complex health needs, career changes, self-doubt, healing, and more moments than I can count that made me question everything. Along the way, I’ve realized something powerful…
We all have a story.
We all carry invisible struggles.
And we all deserve a safe place to remember who we are.
Each week, I share honest stories from my own life and invite guests to share theirs.
Together, we explore healing, resilience, relationships, self-worth, intuition, perspective, purpose, and everything in between.
These aren’t polished conversations.
They’re real ones.
My hope is that every episode leaves you feeling a little lighter, a little more hopeful, and a little more connected—to yourself and to the people around you.
If you’ve ever felt lost…
If you’ve ever questioned your worth…
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re the only one…
You’re not.
So grab a coffee, take a walk, or simply sit with me for a while.
Let’s have a heart talk.
Let’s get Passionate on Purpose. 🩷

When Your Child Doesn’t Fit the System: Lessons From Our Family’s Journey

This week, during my cancer follow-up, I was reminded of the reason I started podcasting in the first place. It was said in a new way that I hadn’t heard before, but it truly resonated with me.
“Make your mess your message.”
Yes, I often speak about this. The universe is always speaking to us, and my message is often to use my story and my daughters’ story to spread awareness. Sometimes, I go a little silent and forget what I set out to do, like waiting a month between each podcast when my intent was weekly. But then I get another nudge to speak out. The doctor said, “Not everyone needs to hear it, but someone is meant to,” and it reminded me that I’ve said similar things. “Even if one person got something out of what I said, then I did what I came to do.”
Thank you, Universe, for yet another little nudge. Of course, it came right at a time when we’re all going through a lot. My husband is a man of few words, and as we sat having a little cry with my daughter, he said, “It feels heavy right now.”
Those are some of the times when I hold back, but I also know that someone will need the vulnerability because they’re going through something similar.
This podcast is for people who don’t fit in with society’s standards, people who love someone or suffer with anxiety, people living with illness or medical trauma, families who are trying to create a life that caters to them, people navigating IEPs or learning disabilities, and the school system. And so much more. In true Shalea fashion, we go all over the place!
I dedicate a beautiful song to my beautiful daughters. Take a listen to it and let me know what you think. Girls by Rachel Platten 🩷
