She is a digital storyteller and her side hustle is blogging and sharing her journey as a mother and a feminist via @mommy_feminist 

Gao believes a feminist world that doesn’t dehumanise people because they are different will eradicate the social ills we fight on a daily basis.

“Boys are taught to be men, girls are taught to be women, who teaches them to be themselves?” Is a question that that holds the foundation of Gao’s parenting.

Karabo Mokoena

A chick from the Vaal with a gift and passion to touch and change lives, Karabo had a challenging childhood. Her upbringing was marked by loss, grief, and insecurity. 

She is a mother of two girls that keep her on her toes and challenges her daily to go inward. 

Her educational career in Political Science opened her world to psychology and philosophy, and her own time in therapy encouraged her to become a mental health activist. 

Through her blog, @blackmomchronicles_sa, she speaks about motherhood, mental health and conscious parenting. She is learning to let go of her ego, beliefs, and attachments and heal from her trauma to raise self-aware and confident kids.
