Ever wonder why brilliant strategies often fall completely flat? It’s rarely a lack of vision; it’s almost always a failure of execution.

In this episode, we’re pulling back the curtain on the two critical mechanisms that separate high-performing teams from the rest: Execution Tracking and Feedback Loops. We break down how to move past "gut-feeling project management" and build data-driven systems that actually show you where your projects are winning—and where they are bleeding out.

Whether you're a founder trying to scale, a project manager drowning in spreadsheets, or an individual looking to optimize your personal workflow, this episode is your blueprint. We discuss how to establish actionable KPIs, how to shorten your feedback cycles to pivot before it's too late, and how to cultivate a culture that embraces constructive critique instead of fearing it.

Tune in to learn how to stop guessing, start tracking, and finally close the loop on your biggest goals.

Yo, it's Jermaine Man, Rajo, man. So forever, y'all. I've been working two jobs of going to school and working. You feel me? Every fucking day of my life I've been, and I feel like that's what I needed to do just to stay input or intact with myself, you know. Cause I when it's when I got time, free time, I don't use it, right? When I got free time, I don't do what I need to do with it. So I always feel like I need to be at work or I need to be at school to just, you know, doing something. So it took me forever to notice my habits was just a loop. You feel me? I created these habits to something that, okay, I can't survive outside of work. I can't survive if nobody tells me what to do. I can't survive if I'm not an environment of structure of um, you know, they wanted this structure for me. Like I can create my own structure. You feel me? I had to get the mindset. I could do my duty, I can do this myself. I could make sure that I'm up reading, I'm up writing, I'm up working out. I got my own P. I got my own English class. I got my own history class. I got my own thing going on. You feel me? So today, man, I'm gonna tell you about the execution tracking and the feedback loops. You're now you feel me? Like, because like a few years ago, man, working 12 hours just consistently, man, and like right now, I'm doing it right now. No lie. You feel me? Because I'm ready to get up out of this working, you know, phase. You feel me? And at the end of every week, I looked at my goals and I realized I hadn't actually moved the needle. You feel me? I was just busy, but I wasn't effective. You feel me? Because anybody can be busy all day. But what you busy on? Making sure that job is good, making sure that this running good. You feel me? So I was busy working on myself at the same time. But for the last few years, I've been doing both. Now I get off work and I go handle my bone business. I get off work and I go do a little better. You feel me? I I even fix phones, I even make sure every time I get out of work, I got something to do. Right? So, next man, what changed? I stopped researching over the perfect strategy and start focusing on how I was executing the day-to-day. You feel me? Today we're talking about how to build a bulletproof execution tracking system in the science of feedback loops to the secret of adjusting your course in real time. So never waste another week on the wrong task, man. Let's get into it. You feel me? The first thing is, man, what is an execution and tracking system, right? Like, what is that? You feel me? Like, what is an execution, man? What is an execution tracking system? And one thing it does, it shows you the problem. Most people focus entirely on the plan on what? The completely ignoring the tracking of how well a plan is just a guess, and the execution tracking is reality, right? So once you know, okay, what's your real definition of execution? You feel me? You can move, right? And the definition is the execution system is a project, is your project's dashboard. It doesn't just list tags, it measures your actual pace and progress in against your plan. So it's like when you run it, it's measuring all metrics. You feel me? It's trying to make sure that everything is is is really on point. You feel me? Like getting a habit tracker. And my own, like, you know, I haven't bought that system yet. I gotta put it in my bathroom. I got everything. I've been tracking my days. I need to track my habits more, more. I got a little trap hacker that I do with my uh day with my hourly planner, but I want to see it in my bathroom. I want to see it with me. You feel me? I think that'll make me go harder. You feel me? So I'm gonna make sure that that that's a um core. That's something I get this week. It's like five or ten dollars, fifteen dollars max. So my next thing is the core rule if a metric or task isn't visible, it doesn't exist. I think that's what it is. You don't need a central single source of truth. The notion to clip or something that is a look, a simple physical whiteboard. That's what I just said. I got a simple physical whiteboard. So if I can put this in tech, I can make some moves, I can do some things, right? I can really handle my business. So the the more I do this, the quicker and the better, right? So now I I'm loading my loads, my I mean my leads versus my legs. You feel my legs is the is my leg and the final results. Example, lose 10 pounds or get 100,000 subscribers. You can't control this in real time. So the lead, the action you take, go to the gym four times a week or write two scripts. Your system must track lead in any case because they are 100%. That's what you're 100% control of. I'm I'm not a controller. Y'all hit my butt. I know a bunch of y'all watch my stuff. You feel me? But that can't control if they gonna hit it or not and follow. You feel me? But I'm glad I've been getting followers, and you know, thank God for everybody who's coming in. You feel me? May y'all motivate me and keep me going. You feel me? Because this is what I need, this is what everybody needs. I wish I could sit here and watch everybody's video and just click every time I try to watch a video, I try to go ahead and like it. You feel me? Person on my TV, my phone be trying to make me do other stuff. But I'm like, why I can't. I'm already logged in. I mean, on my TV be trying to make me log in on my phone, like I don't like that. Like, let me like or comment or you know, put my stuff in so well, wherever I'm at, you feel me? Because I know that keeps people going, right? And the science of feedback loops, right? The biological model and um in biology engineering, a feedback loop is the process where the system output is circled back to the um becoming input. This is the home thermostack, it measures the th the temperature and realizes it's too cold, turns on the heat and sets off once it hits the target. The fourth stage of the loop to teach this clearly, break it down into four steps. Data take the action and record the results. I work four hours in the script, but the only wrote 200 hours. You feel me? Information. You compare the data to your goal. I am blank behind schedule. Analysis, you figure out the why. Example, I keep checking my phone every 10 minutes. You feel me? Action, adjust the system immediately, put the phone in another room tomorrow. You feel me? Velocity. The faster you your feedback loop, the faster you improve. If you only review, if you only review your progress once once a year, the the New Year's resolution you fail. If you review it daily or weekly, you can pivot before wasting real time. You feel me? And this is the secret weapon to this, man. This is how you want to move, right? And let's get into three, man. How to build a bulletproof system. Step one, define the negotiables. Man, let me pause. I'm gonna and once I'm defining these new systems, right? Like define the non-negotiable, like the daily action, like my non-negotiable is running, reading, writing, like pick a maximum of three hot leverage tasks per day and actually move the needle. Write them down. See, I gotta, I don't think that writing and uh writing don't move the needle. I think it helped me, but it don't move the needle towards the we know what you know the main thing. You feel me? So tip two, the time block in a sh in a time track. Don't just make a to-do list, assign a specific hour to each task. Use a time to track down how long the task actually takes versus how long you thought it would take. You feel me? So having it, okay, I think it's take about 10 to 40 minutes. I knew it was gonna take me like so my alarm was just gonna go off a while. I had to pause it for a second. So like, hold up, it's gonna be 11 o'clock. I've been I've been talking for like 40 minutes. So let me pause it for a minute, right? So next thing is I build the the circuit breaker, set up the aggressive automated trick to stop you when you go off course. Example, if you spend 15 minutes rolling on social media, a website block, it kicks off you off an alone, it goes off and just tits you with folks, right? So just having something in on that thing to make you no, hell no, social media knock. I know how to knock. I look at one video on social media, I say, Man, you got one video and you off one. You feel me? Because the all videos look good as fuck. My video, man, my fucking timeline be popping. I ain't trying to see this shit right now, though. You feel me? So the secret weapon, the weekly review, closing the loop, the purpose. This isn't the exact mechanism that prevents you from wasting a whole week of the on the wrong task. You treat Sunday or Friday afternoon as your audit, right? So don't just put like, let me make sure I'm I'm on the right path. You feel me? Like critical um actions, questions every week. What percentage of my plan tasks did I actually execute? If it's under 70%, you are over planning and setting yourself up for a burnout. You feel me? Like, where did I where did my time actually go? Identify the time leaks. Am I doing fake work? Am I organizing color color photos instead of making sales or creating content? Adjust use these answers to instantly rewrite your strategy for upcoming week. So now you know how to adjust this loop. Now you know how to move this thing that you know that um is bulletproof, right? Because the main thing today, man, we was talking about how to track this shit. Whatever you track, it's like you hack it. You feel me? You they tracked you down, they didn't hack you. So you want to hack your your your um your goals. You want to track them, you want to put them on, put them in your face all day, every day. You want to be looking at this plan every week, daily if you can. In the morning time, I mean at night. Let's look at this plan. Break that shit down like the more you look at that plan, the more it becomes you. So allow this plan to become part of you. Allow this plan to to need you, to want you, because this plan is gonna what allow you to become new. You feel me? This is gonna make new new runs in your body, new thinking, new man, new you. So, man, whatever y'all do, man. I hope this week helped y'all and been benefited y'all in multiple ways. Because it's benefiting me in multiple ways, man. Whatever y'all do, man. Y'all start playing with y'all time, y'all start playing with y'all like, man. If you hit y'all in the camera with me, I like, comment, and subscribe, man. Y'all plan y'all ass off this week. Y'all plan it. Go back and just be the man. Look at every leak. I don't care how long it takes you, it'll take you a couple days just to plan this shit. That's good. If it takes the longer you take you, the better. I mean, you got a lot of shit going on. I mean, you got a lot of shit to fix. You feel me? Now you got a real skill. Now you can look at your job, like, okay, bitch, I ain't finna be here that long. I'm finna transfer this, I'm finna get this part of my life right, I'm finna get this part of my life right, and I'm out of here. You dig? And that's how you get out of places, man. You ain't gotta hit the lotto, you don't gotta go hit no scratch off. You ain't gotta get up and get lucky. You can do this shit strategically. You feel me? By planning it, man. So plan y'all time, plan y'all life, plan y'all energy, plan y'all money, plan where everything's going. So when so when everything is said and done, you plan to do this and don't know ain't nobody successful by mistake. Trust me. Y'all start playing your time, y'all start planning your life, man. Yo.
