Ep889 Fuel for New Direction
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
You cannot change the direction of your life using the same residual energy that your current day-to-day routine completely drains.
When you are trying to make a major career shift, build a personal brand, or launch an independent asset while working full-time, motivation won't save you. Inspiration fades by 6:00 PM. If you want to build a bridge to a new reality, you have to find a pocket of time where the world cannot touch you—and you have to use raw discipline to protect it.
In this episode, we break down the operational mechanics of finding, protecting, and execution-testing the hidden hours in your week so you can fuel a strategic pivot without hitting a wall of burnout.
Yo, it's Jermaine Man Raim Rossiel, man. You cannot change directions using the same amount of energy reserves that you use to do what you used to do. You feel me? You can't do that. Today, we get into how to get you some gas money. How to get you some thrill. How to get you some motivation, how to get you some discipline, how to make sure that I'm using all my good energy for me. You feel me? How to wake up and get on in. Like everything is about using the energy that you don't use before. You feel me? Not that same time. You can't glow up off the same, using that same energy that you used to use. You can't go about for using that same time frame that you used to use, right? Like paying yourself in time first. Like this is something we always talk about with doing with discipline. If you can't pay yourself first, it's damn near over with. You feel me? You can't get your ass up in the morning and work for 8 to 10 minutes or 20 minutes, 30 minutes, you it's over with. You feel me? That's quite an hour, a quiet time, and you can't use it the right way. It's over. You feel me? Like trying to use this shit is crazy. You feel me? Think about it. By 6 p.m. after grueling day, at 9 to 5, handling family obligation and dealing with daily fires, your willpower is absolute at zero. You say you're going to work on your business, your personal brand, or pivoting strategy, but instead you scroll because you're exhausted. Your current life is literally consuming the energy required to build your future. If you want to build something new, you cannot rely on what's left over. It's over with. It's like motherfucking relying on old leftovers. It's over with. You have to find a pocket of time where the word cannot touch you. And this is the only time it's what in the morning time. Three and four in the morning. You feel me? Welcome to the Fourier reset, man. Today we're talking about how to use raw discipline to fill your pivot. You feel me? Like if you're trying to change direction, you gotta have some type of get up and go to. You feel me? Like the graphic or simple imagination showing a pie chart of 24-hour day. Section getting chipped away, job, community, sleep, chores. Only a tiny silver is left over. Right? So today, man, we're gonna get into it, man. Let's get straight into it, man. Let's get right into it. And the first thing we're gonna do is pay ourselves first, man. Um graph on a simple um chart, like a pie. How much time over here? How much time over here? How much time over there? And once we see how much how we cook this damn pie, okay, we're gonna put, okay, the eight to ten here. You feel me? Uh three to this there. You feel me? You see that shit just licking like that, you're gonna be like, nah, I gotta have some type of, you know, some type of magnet that I do automatically, even if I ain't got time, I still do this. You feel me? Like in finance, man, the golden rule before you pay your rent, before you pay your bills, before you pay your grocery, take out an income and put it to the savings or investments. If you wait until the end of the month to save what's left over it, there'll be nothing left over. And the same thing is what applies with your time. If you wait till the end of the day to do some shit, you ain't got no time for that. You tired as fuck, you sleepy, you feel me? Why you treat our time differently right now? You are paying some um everyone else first. You wake up, you check emails, you immediately give your highest mental energy to your boss, then you then you give your energy to your clients, then your errands, then your social media feeds. By the time you sit down to work on your dream, you are what? Giving yourself scraps. The end of the uh damn rope, right? You give yourself the goddamn the plate naked. Like when you wake up at 4 a.m., you are dick, you are dedicating the absolute highest quality, most premised mental energy of the day to your asset. No one is emailing you at 4 a.m. No one is texting you. There are no notifications. This is the only time of the day when you can aggressively pay yourself first. So if you're not no morning person, every week we gotta go something about the morning. We gotta go about somebody getting up and get it over with every week. If you're not no morning person, you damn near not gonna get to where you're trying to go to. You feel me? If you're not no person who wake up just really ready to go, you ready to check your phone and do that, man? You you you're gonna be stuck there for a minute. You feel me? You're gonna be stuck doing it for a minute because your routine is out of whack. You feel me? And using all your energy for your job, using all your energy for your emails, using all your energy for social media. You feel me? So once I think about this, am I using my morning right? Can I use it differently? You feel me? And just start off with one day. Don't think y'all about doing it every day. One day out the week, two days, three days. You're trying to get this habit going. Get up a little bit earlier every day. You're trying to get this habit going, you feel me? And this concept too, right? You're trying to design a ritual execution, right? All right, now let's talk about what actually happened when the alarm goes off. Social media has ruined the concept of morning routine. You've seen the seen the videos, people waking up, lighting cindy candles, um, journaling for an hour, doing 45 minutes of yoga, and stepping into a mocker tea while starting out staring out the window. This is relaxation routine, and honesty is a luxury for people who have already arrived when they want to be. You feel me? Like this where you it's you getting up like that when you want when you already where you want to be at in life. If you are trying to expedite a massive life pivot, you don't need relaxation, you need a ritual for execution. You feel me? Like me getting up right now, it's eight o'clock in the morning. I'm already up on this shit. I'm not waiting till no 10 or 12 today. No, today, my days when I write down my topic be my long days. You feel me? But when I just gotta record and I already got my damn my topic planned already, I just can hit record and start talking because I got everything written out like I need to, right? Like the ritual gotta be in tech. You feel me? Everything got a ritual to it. So once you get that shit locked in, it's it's no not them locking it out. You feel me? Like your four routine should not be complex, it should be a simple, it should be an assembly line designed to get you to your desk with your tools ready in under 15 minutes. And this is what happened. Everything was already like lined up and locked in. You feel me? The minute zero the alarm goes off, you do not touch snooze, your feet hit the floor immediately. Five minutes, grab a grass of water, black coffee, whatever jumps your biological. I mean, um your biology. 10 minutes. You are sitting in the chair, 15 minutes, you are working on your number one leverage point for your pivot. No reading the news, no checking social media, no extending and stretches, no, this is the raw technical execution that you are there to build and not vibe. Like you not thinking about nothing else but doing this shit. Like right now, this is the best time of the day for me. This is the best time that I have because I get to talk and do what I like to do. This is this if I can get paid for anything, this is what I would get paid for. You feel me? I'm gonna get paid to get up and talk to a crowd about helping ourselves and better myself because I real I feel accomplished at the end. You know, you do something you feel accomplished at the end, you know. You know, even if somebody watched this shit, if I watch this shit 10 years from now, I'll be like, I'm so glad he was talking about this shit. You feel me? If I watch this shit 15 minutes, I'm so glad Raheem was talking about this shit. You feel me? If I got this type of mindset for a long ass time and forever, I'm gonna continue to do things that I'm proud of. You feel me? I'm gonna continue to do things that I want to do. You feel me? The more I put myself in a position to do something I don't like doing, the less I'm gonna do it. The less I'm gonna do what I want to do, right? And that's number, and that's something concept two, man. Concept three is eliminating the disciplined killers the night before. You feel me? So when I talk about this shit too, I talk about this a lot. Let's get our ass up in the night. Like, like, let's be honest. When winning at 4 a.m. doesn't start at 4 a.m. It starts at 9 p.m. that night before. You feel me? So the biggest problem people feel is because they try to rely on willpower in the morning, but the willpower is infinite resources, and if you make decisions at 4 a.m., you are already lost. You will choose the warm bed every single time. To fix this, you have to have a ruthless elimination discipline killers that the evening prior. We face two main um call parts digital distractions and late night decision fatigue. You feel me? So when shooting it got a nighttime man, the phone leaves the bedroom. If your phone is alarm, it is right next to your pillow. You will scroll and you will hit snooze or you hit snooze, put it across the room or the wall for the first youth to buy it to turn off it. Second, remove all the friction before you go to sleep. Sit up a workspace for the next morning. If you are writing your book, leave the document open. If you are building a business, have the exact task list written down on the physical piece of paper. So when I say I woke up, I had this shit already written down. This already written down. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Went down. You feel me? Like I got this shit written down already. You feel me? Once you got some shit already written down, all you gotta do is I set most of my beds right by my desk. I got no choice but to get up and see it and do it. You feel me? So the more something is right there invisible to the iman, the more likely you're gonna do it. So let's get this shit eliminated tonight. Let me get up and make my goddamn nightly schedule. Let me get up and make my morning routine up. So when I get up, I'm already up and get on, and I'm not making too many decisions. So man, you gotta get up and make so many decisions sometime. You're not gonna make none. You're gonna say fuck all of them because you got too many decisions to make. You feel me? So let's look at this, man. Look at the 4 a.m. ring set isn't a life sentence. You feel me? Like, you ain't gotta do this forever. It's a season of intensity. That's it. Like you know this, like it's just a season of this shit. It's a raw discipline rebuild to break the gravity of your current situation so you can launch it to something new. It's going to be dark, it's going to be cold, and for the first couple of weeks, it's going to suck. But on the other side of discomfort is the version that actually owns their time, their career, their future. You feel me? Stop giving your best self to a life that you're trying to pivot away from. You feel me? If you're trying to get away from some bad working, bad jobs, bad people, stop giving yourself to that life. You feel me? Like your stop getting yourself to that. You feel me? Like tomorrow morning, the clock hits 4 a.m. The world would be asleep. What are you going to do with that popular time? You feel me? If you're ready to uh make a pivot, you gonna what? You gonna drop the comment below and say, man, day one and let me know the asset you're billing tomorrow morning. Don't forget to hit the subscribe in for more technical strategies on displaying the execution. So if you change no change, man, just hit day one up under my comments today. Just go ahead and put that up under day one. This is when I'm gonna change. And if you do that, whoever that person is, I'm I hope you're a real person. Cause I can text you back and be like, hey, we're gonna do this together. I'm gonna send you my number, we're gonna give you number, and we're gonna we're gonna give each other a set of disciplines that okay. You do, I do. I send you a check, you send me a check, I send you a check, you send me a check. And this will keep the accountability going. Sometimes people need an accountability partner, and I had accountability partner, but they I'm I'm I was being more accountable for them than them being accountable for me. Like they'll ask me some shit. They don't they're scared that like they're scared to ask me some shit. Ask me what I'm doing, ask me what I'm not doing. You feel me? You see me not posting, hey, I why you why you ain't posting that you see me not doing this, like and I see that they say, okay, this is gonna make him be better, so I'm not even gonna ask him that. I'm not even gonna tell him, I'm not even gonna like or coming up scrap. So I get that I had to cut those friends off. You feel me? Because I know that they don't want to see me build and grow past a certain stage, you feel me? But they just wanna see me. And so I say, okay, this is a part of that type of um transition. Let me stay out of their way. And that's what I did. I've been feeling better since I stayed up people in that I feel like just like me on the same level as them. You feel me? Like if you got a person in your group and you feel like that they can go up, put him in the front. You feel me? Hold the umbrella for him, make sure that he's keeping everybody aligned and in shape. You feel me? Because when you want to get rid of the boss or you want to get rid of the leader, you got to go lead your own group. You feel me? Once you want to get rid of the things that are going on right in the group, these times you go make your own group. You feel me? Once you see somebody can excel and go up, let them know that. Tell them that. Tell them that y'all see you doing way better than what you're doing right now. Let them know that. You feel me? That's what I like doing, and that's what got me friends, and that's what got me no friends. You feel me? So telling people the right, telling people the wrong, telling people the true, telling people the the you know, you know, the false. It's always a um a counteracting to that. So whatever it is, man, don't you worry about that shit. You just keep on pushing and and don't you go giving it to no bullshit. Everything everybody said to you is what giving you gas money to go in a new direction, gas money to go where you want to go to, gas money to do what you need to do in life. Every hate, every happiness is gas. No matter what it is, it's gas money. It's gas money for me to keep rolling and keep going in life, man. So this video helps y'all, man. Y'all come in day one down at the below. Y'all start y'all and discipline off. Y'all start it off, man. Y'all know what I'm on. Changing directions. If we gotta change direction, man. So change that goddamn direction, man. Y'all stop playing the time. Y'all stop playing the like, man. Y'all like, comment, subscribe. Let's get on. Let's go, man.
